Week 1
We open up not with our usual fan fare, pyro and music but with a roaring crowd staring at a ring covered in a black garb, gold balloons, champagne, the Horsemen in the ring sipping and Bishoff in the ring holding a velvet bag with a grin from ear to ear. A long red carpet being drawn from the stage to the ring as Bishoff started speaking.
"Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Monday Nitro as we kick off the journey to Starrcade V with not only a New World Champion but a World Champion that you can respect. A World Champion that will always defend his title to the best of his abilities, a World Champion who actually fits the mold of the very word. My World Champion and yours, The Nature Boy, Ric, Flair!"
[Play Out]
Flair came down to the ring, looking like a Billion Dollars, The Horsemen shaking his hand as camera crews would snap pictures of him all over the place, Flair walking over to Bishoff giving him a hug, the fans obviously pissed off at this scene, Bishoff speaking once again.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the man whom I warned John Morrison about. I did everything in my power to protect him and make him the champion you people wanted. I groomed him, I marketed him, I made him a World Champion and the one time he defies me, I tell him he can't defeat the greatest wrestler in the world...he loses and it's all his fault. Don't jeer me for trying to protect him, jeer him for selling out on you. Every single one of you fans who cheered him in the night, he turned his back on when he went up against Ric Flair, a man whom I warned him about. And now, onto the matter at hand. Ric, for five years you've been here in the NWA and never once have you steered any of us wrong and you've seen champion after champion come and go. And as a stand up guy, I am presenting you with a World Championship Title fitting for a real world's champion."
Bishoff removed the big gold belt from the black velvet bag however, the red rubies were completely gone, replaced with 10 Karat Diamonds, handing it over to Flair with a hand shake, saying off mic but loud enough that the belt in total was close to a million dollars with the added hardware. Flair taking the belt and placed it over his shoulder, getting a hold of a mic.
"Woooo. I hate to be the one to say it, but I told all of you that I was going to be World Heavyweight Champion and here I stand before all of you and my peers exactly what I said I was going to be. John Morrison, you were a champion yes, but a great World Champion not so much. You flushed everything down the toilet and all that hard work you put in, that lump of coal you were squeezing to be a diamond, turned out to be dust in the wind. This title belt represents what it means to be a champion and I stand here before God and you as my witnesses that I will defend this title with every fiber in my being. There is no challenge too big or small that I will not undertake but I am going to warn everyone in the back, that if you mess with Ric Flair, you mess with the Horsemen and when you mess with the Horsemen you get hurt. You get hurt bad and to the point of retirement and past retirement. And I don't care if you're Sting, if you're Bret Hart, if you're a horseman wanna be Paul Heyman guy, I don't care who you are, what you do or where you come from, this title belongs to me, it always has, it always will and if anyone has the balls to step through those ropes and fight God for his prize, come on down right now and we'll get it on. Yeah it's open fight night, I'm issusing a challenge to the locker room, the entire locker room, whomever wants to come out and fight me for my title, you bring your ass down here and I will send you packing back to whatever hole in the ground you came out of and the Horsemen will see fit you never wrestle again."
Flair would turn to his men, cracking open the fifth champagne bottle, filling his glass as he would drink it down, Dillion was already past the point of drunk, laughing in the corner as they offered Bishoff a drink whom said the hell with it and would celebrate with them, Flair drinking down almost a whole bottle just relishing in the moment.
"Wooooo, come on, anyone in the back, anyone at all, I'll even put my Championship on the line tonight...oh yeah you fans chant CM Punk, I beat him three times and he doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell in fighting me. In fact, yeah, bring him out, I'll fight him and send him back to the hospital just like I did John Morrison. Woooo last chance guys-"
[Play Out]
The crowd went completely silent for a moment as of all people pulling from the back came dressed in a $100,000 suit and tie complete with cufflinks was Alberto Del Rio. He would grin as he made his way down to the ring, Bobby immediately flying from the broadcast booth trying to talk reason into him as Del Rio entered the ring, taking Bishoff's mic from him and helped himself to a glass of Champagne.
"My name, my name is Alberto Del Rio. But you...you already knew that. Let me just say, I didn't need the red carpet draped out and the ring to look like a fiesta for my return, but I appreciate it. Now, Senior Flair, I was in the back signing autographs and teaching the blind how to read, I heard you're putting your World Heavyweight Championship on the line tonight, well, I've already beaten the Man They Call Vader, The Icon Sting, Bret Hart in fact I think I made him tap out, I know I beat Randy Savage, I beat the entire N.W.O., I almost had Ricky Steamboat go to retirement and I also defeated Masahiro Chono and so many others that the list is just so big it would take all night. But there's one name on that list that isn't on there and that name...is you. So I think, since you're being so generous, if you have the cojones, to face me, Alberto Del Rio, tonight in the ring for the World Heavyweight Championship."
Bobby quickly stood in his way, trying to quickly apologize to Flair over the brash comments not wanting to get killed, Flair yelling at him.
"You got it, Main Event, my title, your ass, it's on pal, Woooo!"
Del Rio would grin at him, winking and left the ring, Bobby heading up the ramp with him trying to get him to call it off, Flair wooing out telling his men this was going to be an easy night and to get the hotel room ready.
"Holy cow, welcome to Monday Nitro folks I guess I'm going it all alone here tonight, a Three Hour show and already Two Main Event matches scheduled for tonight, the debut of La Sombra, Bret/Steamboat III, a big announcement to be made and so much more."
[Play Out]
First match up of the night featured Lita squaring off against Natalya and both of them were ring ready, wanting to impress whomever was watching and wanted a title shot, knowing Del Rey had struck a nerve with a few of them as of late. Lita ever the graceful high flying couldn't match Natalya's power counter game, lucky enough to avoid the big submissions and avoided the Anivl Tackle right into a schoolgirl for the victory.
Lita rose her palms up, knowing that was one big win in the right direction, slapping the palms of the fans as she made her way up, yelling out that she was coming for Del Rey.
[Play Out]
Harlem Heat against The Rhodes Brothers and Dusty was barking out orders telling them to stay focused tonight, Sherri on the outside leading her team on whom obviously had the power game in this one. Cody taking a sheer beating in the first five minutes of the match, unable to match Booker or Stevie Ray's power, just getting tossed like a ragged doll, Dustin not even entering the ring to break up a count forcing Cody to do it on his own.
Cody was able to avoid a double team move, taking them down with a flying clothesline, tagging in to Dustin whom put style and power into the mix, that roughneck offense surely putting Heat on Ice, Heat completely lost in the shuffle as Dustin nailed the Lonestar...ALMOST scoring the win there, Cody tackling Booker to the outside.
Dustin would tangle with Stevie, unable to match that power, getting tossed to the buckle after a few moments but fought out, tagging out to Cody as now they were working as a team to keep him down and grounded, Stevie completely lost in the shuffle couldn't keep up with anything that was going on, Cody going for the Disaster Kick but he missed, accidentally hitting Dustin, cursing out as Stevie and Booker dropped him with a spinebuster neck breaker combination, covering for three.
Heat won it real big here tonight as Dustin kicked the stairs, completely frustrated that Cody again screwed this whole thing up, leaving ringside while Heat Celebrated.
"Congradulations to Harlem Heat, I'm Kevin Kelly with the road report and while we were gearing up for Halloween Havoc we did have one big House Show in Edmonton, Hayabusa put down Joey Mercury, Harlem Heat whom we just saw in action battled down the Hart Dynasty, Tamina defeated Lita and Natalya in a triple threat bout, Bret Hart had a 21 minute match classic with Misawa but the real big story folks was Eddie Guerrero's win over Mr. Perfect in a very controversial fashion, hooking the tights and using the rope, my guest at this time, Mr. Perfect and Curt I gotta say, you were not happy."
"You dammed right I wasn't happy about it, that cheater not only hooked my tights and put his feet on the rope but post match he went on saying he defeated the Perfect one, well I got news for ya pal, in a Perfect World I'm King and nobody beats Mr. Perfect and in just 2 minutes time, you'll see why."
[Play Out]
The Rematch from the Road as Mr. Perfect squared off against Eddie Guerrero and what a hell of match this was. Techniqual against High Flying style, Eddie knowing how to piss him off and used that to his advantage, able to hook Perfect three times almost scoring the win. The match progressed on as Eddie made only a few mistakes but enough to allow Perfect a chance to turn things around, Eddie able to counter his offense, dropping him down and went for the frogsplash but Perfect kicked the ref into the ropes, causing him to crotch and drop down.
Perfect put the heavy on him, going for the Perfectplex but Eddie slid behind him, leaping with a victory roll but Perfect rolled and pinned Eddie, grabbing the rope...for the victory. Wow, Perfect cheated to win, grinning as he rolled out of the ring, Eddie saying that 'he cheated essa' but of course ref didn't see it. Just desserts there as Perfect was able to even the odds here tonight.
"Tough luck there for Eddie, that ends the first hour of our program, we're going to take just a quick break and when we return the big announcement that has called President DM to the ring...and joining us back to the booth Bobby Heenan, you look a little sick."
"Del Rio is gonna die, I don't know what has gotten into his head, this is Ric Flair, I've begged and pleaded with him, Del Rio I know you're listening but listen to reason, you have a Million Dollar contract, don't blow it on facing Flair tonight please God for once answer my prayers."
"Bobby you're salavating at the mouth."
"I'm scared humaniod Im gonna have to sell my house, my cars everything after this fight tonight, I'm ruined."
[Promo/Intro]
"Well thank you for that warm reception. I won't take up too much of your time cause we have a long show to get to. Over the past few months I have been watching not only Monday Nitro but also the 'other' channels and see what they're up to and they are doing a lot of innovative things that spark my attention. Over the course of the last two drafts, something real apparent came to me and that is our roster is heavily saturated with top tier talent but the divions, not so evenly dispersed. So therefore, starting next week, for the first time ever, both Eric Bishoff and Antonio Inoki are going to brand which divisions they want for their respective shows. The IWGP and World Champion are the only two whom are allowed to appear on both shows and on Open Fight Night, any champion can be challenged on that night. So next week, it'll be the NWA's Brand and New Japan's Brand with two exclusive divisions giving the roster, more depth and more of a chance to compete-"
[Play Out Devitt]
Devitt came down to the ring, alone in his usual swagger holding the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship over his shoulder, entering the ring like he had the biggest dick in the world, leaning back against the turnbuckle casually.
"Don't worry President DM I'm not going to hurt you, I just got a blowjob from one of the Angel's so I'm feeling pretty good right now. But, I'm going to tell you right now that I don't care of it's Nitro or All*Star Wrestling I'm on, Prince Devitt is taking that division hostage and holding it up at gunpoint until I get what rightfully belongs to me and that's the Cruiserweight Championship. See I have a personal grudge with this company as back in April you drafted me then released me before I could get my foot in the door, creative differences and then when you're Immortal Taka was running out of opponents, you signed me to put him under and so the ratings can tip in your favor. Well let me tell you, I don't give a F*ck bout ratings, I care about fighting and tonight I'm going to destroy your pet project La Sombra. Now if you'll be so kind, get out of my ring before I drive your skull right through it with my knee."
DM not one to throw a punch held his hand up, leaving the ring and made his way up the ramp, Devitt leaning against the ropes calling the Space Sentinal on.
[Play Out]
Surprise surprise who he wanted and what he got were two different things as CM Punk made his way down the ring, knowing his hired guns weren't here tonight and he was just a sheep to the slaughter tonight, the ref making it official and called for the bell.
Oh man, Punk/Devitt III and there was no way Devitt was getting out alive tonight, Punk taking it him real early, hitting him with knees, elbows, back fists and wrestling, forcing Devitt to retreat on more than one occassion. Punk chasing after him, quickly sliding out of the ring avoiding the jump attempt, proving he was smarter than that, and fought Devitt tooth and nail on this one, actually catching him over the eye with a kick busting him up.
Devitt had to dig deep on this one, fighting right back to Punk, those heavy knee strikes cracking him over the nose causing Punk to bleed but it only made him stronger it seemed, raising him up for the GTS but Devitt countered into a hurricanrana, lining up his shot and went for the Silver Bullet running knee but Punk caught him right in the Anaconda Vice!
Devitt was trapped in the center of the ring, trying to fight out of it but no way was Punk going to let go of this one, moving in a small circle in the center of the ring as Devitt would kick, trying to get out of it as Punk would wrench back on him...and was then jumped by...Serena?
The ref rang the bell as Serena started hammer into Punk, clawing and punching at him like a wild woman, Punk raising up and pushed her off of him but was then blasted with the Silver Bullet over the skull. Devitt looked down at him, shaking his head and rolled out of the ring with Serena in tow. Apparently, they were an item now as Serena would follow after him, the fans equally puzzled.
"Excuse me Prince Devitt, what in the hell is going on here, again you screwed CM Punk tonight-"
"Screw? SCREW!" Serena yelled into the mic "CM Punk did not get screwed, I did when this company traded off Christopher Daniels WITHOUT my permission! Now he's off galavanting up North and the only thing keeping me sane was that bald headed Judas to my cross. But now...now...NOW that this company has shown it's real intensions, I got with a man, a real champion whom this company also tried to screw over early in the year. He is the Revolver, his hired guns are the bullets, and I....I'm the Crosshair that'll strike right between the eyes of any man or woman that dares try to F*ck with us. Now this goes out to Sara Del Rey, you little bitch! You broke my arm, I'm going to rip out your heart and serve it to the starving orphans. I'm calling you out and this time I swear upon the gravestone I'm going to burry you with, this time, you're not going to survive."
"I told you..Prince Devitt and his Bullet Club are taking the NWA by storm...and all we need..is just one....shot."
Devitt would walk off with Serena whom pushed an NWA crew member on his ass, Kevin Kelly just shaking his head as we had to cut back to the ring.
[Play Out w/ Promo]
Joey Mercury was the man called up to face off against the debut of La Sombra. From a huge fog that rose from the ground and a crack of thunder once it disapated stood the Mexican Luchador himself, dressed in black and silver, removing his ring gear as the match began.
Mercury had no idea what he was getting into as Sombra surprised him with corkscrew moonsaults, inverted 450's, spinning armdrag takedowns and more aerial moves we can't even pronounce. Thank god for Melina as Mercury was able to turn things around in the later half, least for a small while raising him up for a powerbomb but Sombra countered out with a flip ducking a punch and caught him in a Gorry Special Submission, holding him for a moment then flipped him over, driving him with a Gorry Special Stunner, coming off the top rope with a split legged corkscrew moonsault, coming off the rope with a spinning headscissor dejavu Stunner, covering..for three.
Talk about a debut right there as he put Joey away in just under 11 minutes, leaving the ring in grand fashion, the newest star on the horizon and his name was La Sombra.
"Hell of a debut there for La Sombra we've been waiting for months for him to turn up, we are just closing the second hour, actually bleeding some into the final hour as we speak, two big matches still lined up for tonight we hope you stick with us. Those of you that watched Halloween Havoc last night saw the huge bout between Sting and Kane and those wonder, doctor's rushed Sting to a local hospital, we are being told he had paralysis on the left side of his body, we're looking into recovery time, we wish him a speedy recovery."
Cameras move to the back seeing Punk walking down the hallway, absolutely losing his mind, grabbing a hold of a table and flipped it over, grabbing a hold of one of the backstage monitors and flung it across the hall, Bishoff having to rush down there to calm him down.
"You know I'm sick of this Eric! For a month I've been trying to battle that Japan reject Prince Devitt and he either chooses not to fight or I get jumped from behind by his cronies or some bitch who needed to change a tampon three years ago. I want that son of a bitch in a fight next week and I'm putting this to an end."
"Or you'll do what...walk out of the NWA and go to another company that doesn't want you or have a place for you? How about this, how about, you're suspended for 30 days for unsportsmanlike conduct and language not fitting a cable program where children could be watching."
"Are you serious! You're going to suspend me while that jackass tool Prince Devitt gets to walk around like nothing happened?"
"30 days Punk starting right now, and if you try to come down and stir up garbage, you'll be fired on the spot."
Bishoff walked off as Punk kicked the camera in a fit of rage, we having to go back to the ring.
[Play Out]
Christ here we go, Bret Steamboat III who cares what was on the other program or if a PPV was going on, this was the match to see, the rubber match for the ages as these two men just went at it, knowing they had more than enough time tonight to get it on.
Steamboat had the early advantage with his locks and speed, Bret having to slow the pace down with his rest locks and techniqual game, unable to really match power with Steamboat dispite the one pound weight difference.
Ricky started to chop away at Bret in the corner and gave him a world tour of the ring but Bret countered getting him tossed to the outside, Bret working right on those legs of his, putting pressure right on them and slamming him down. Ricky had to retreat into the ring as Bret continued to work at that leg, Ricky having to dig deep and was able to counter wrestle him slightly, ramming Bret's shoulder into the steel post.
Stemabot tried to act fast but his legs wouldn't move fast enough, having to rework on Bret before dropping him with a northernlight suplex for two. Bret laying flat, holding his shoulder telling the ref something was wrong, Ricky walking over and Bret pulled him in for a small package for two. Both of them turned it up, the ref already wiping his brow as we pass the 30 minute mark, neither man wanting to give it up tonight knowing this was for the final win, Steamboat hitting a fireman's carry then dropped him with a DDT, climbing the top rope and leapt off with the flying chop...but Bret caught the legs and locked in..the SharpShooter.
Steamboat was trapped, unable to fight free trying to work his body to the ropes or counter it, but Bret had it locked in perfectly. Half the crowd cheering the other hand urging Ricky on, trapped in the hold for close to two minutes, raising his hand up to make a decision-
[Play Out]
But the posts caught ablaze as the Big Red Monster Kane made his way down to the ring, Bret trying to prevent him from gaining access inside but when he was hit in the ribs by Silent Justice, he dropped like a brick. The ref called the match off as Kane entered the ring, hitting Bret to the corner and started to beat upon him with jabs with the ballbat, finishing him off with a chokeslam and kicked him out of the ring.
He slowly turned, watching Steamboat rise up slowly holding his leg and pointed the bat at him, charging in and cracked the back right over his ribs. Kane was relentless just hitting him over the back and over the ribs with the ballbat, dropping him down to his knees and cracked it over his skull. Steamboat was busted open and knocked out, Kane standing over him holding that bat preventing anyone from getting into the ring, including Bret who tried to get inside, Sullivan having a mic.
"This....is the next cancer that will be rid of the NWA. We told you that heroes do not exist, we took out The Angel of Justice...now...we take and slay the Dragon. Those of you whom praise our gospel and chant Kane's name are the worst offenders of them all. All you want is destruction and all Kane wants is acceptance. You only see the Monster and refuse to accept him into your society as a man. So until you do, one by one, your heroes, your false idols are going to fall and when your cheers turn to screams, and your screams turn fear....then, it will be the Genesis of the rebirth of Kane. Kane...finish him."
Kane would then turn Ricky over on his back, placing a boot on his throat and slowly rose the black ball bat up, Sullivan keeping the refs at bay wanting everyone to witness this.....when the bat was jerked out of Kane's hand by....Richie Steamboat! The young dragon started to fight hard at Kane, avoiding a punch and dropkicked him out of the ring. Sullivan grabbed him by the hair but Richie would toss him out of the right. Officials quickly flew inside trying to tend to Ricky, Sullivan pulling Kane along knowing now wasn't the time but it seemed they had a newer...younger target in Richie Steamboat as Nitro would cut to it's final break.
We came back and EMT's were helping Steamboat to an ambulance, Kevin Kelly trying to get a word when Richie spoke up in turn.
"What happened tonight is never going to happen again. My father is not a sacrifical lamb to this stupid game Sullivan is playing. Next week, I'm taking the puppet master out and cutting the head off of the serphent."
He hoped into the back of the ambulance and rode off, Kevin not knowing what to say after that, as we moved to the ring for our Main Event.
[Play Out]
Del Rio against Ric Flair, he had fifteen minutes to pull this off, Flair blowing kisses to the fans as Del Rio winked at him as the match began.
Right off the bat Del Rio took it to Flair, using some of his lucha libre background to keep him guessing, Flair having to retreat to the outside, kicking the railing a bit as a still drunken JJ Dillion told him to go after him, Flair whom probably shouldn't had been drinking earlier was easily dropped, Del Rio making sport of him and even gave a woo to the crowd, catching him with an ensiguri over the head getting a two.
Flair at the seven minute mark was able to gouge at the eye turning the tides in his favor, giving Del Rio a taste of Horsemen offense and what a true champion in the ring does, Flair making sure to Woo and strut his way across the ring every chance he had, chopping Del Rio in the corner, tossing him away but didn't expect him to fire right back, catching him off guard sending him to the floor.
Couldn't win on the outside as Del Rio tossed him back in, Dillion going after him to distract him but Del Rio hard Ricardo take care of him, re entering the ring but dammit was Flair fast on the draw, clobbering him on the way back in, working to that knee.
Flair wanted him to tap out, getting kicked away ramming into the buckle, Del Rio dropping him with the El Dorado Suplex covering only for two but it was very close, moving to the corner knowing he was going to try and break Flair's arm, running at him for the cross arm breaker, Flair weasling out, dropping him with suplexes and more hard chops, charging in but Del Rio tossed him to the floor.
Dillion told him to give this fight up already, Del Rio catching both of them with a baseball slide, rolling to the floor hitting Flair with hard uppercuts though Flair would bite at him, tossing him hard right into Justin Roberts, the time keeper and a poor cameraman whom were all just trying to either film the match or watch it peacefully.
Flair pulled him up by the hair and slammed him into the post, tossing him into the ring and climbed up to the top rope though didn't expect Del Rio to quickly climb up and catch him with an ensiguri over the head. Both men hit the mat, Del Rio slapping his arm with a grin, going to charge when Dillion caught his leg from the outside.
Del Rio kicked him off but was splashed in the corner, Flair chopping to his chest then tossed him to the other buckle with an irish whip back smacking into the ref whom dropped holding his eye.
Flair catching Del Rio with a low blow as Dillion slid in a lead pipe, Flair grinning towards the camera and would swing but Del Rio caught him with a low blow. Flair dropping the pipe as Alberto picked it up, looking to clobber Flair with it as Dillion hit the apron, Del Rio swinging but missed as Dillion laughed at him but got tackled by Ricardo, Flair able to gouge the eye of Del Rio getting possession of the pipe and would swing but missed, Del Rio catching him with an ensiguri the a slingshot right into the steel post.
Flair bouncing off and was caught in the El Dorado Suplex, the ref counting, 1-2-........3!
What the hell just happened? Alberto Del Rio with Ricardo screaming into the mic just announced him as the new World Heavyweight Champion. Bobby Heenan leaving the broadcast table, literally ripping the belt away from the dazed time keepers palms and handed the belt over to del Rio while jumping into his arms like a lost lover.
Del Rio slapped his chest raising the title belt up while Ricardo sung his praises, The Horsemen coming down to the ring in a mad fury as Del Rio rolled to the floor and into the crowd. He would back peddal screaming out The Del Rio Fury was back in the NWA and he was the New NWA World Champion and had literally just stolen the richest prize in the NWA.
As monday Nitro would fade...to black.
All*Star Wrestling
Nothing Inoki could do would be able to follow up what happened on Nitro but he was going to damn near try having the first bout feature Hayabusa square off against Frankie Kazarian and while Kaz came close three times, it was Hayabusa whom was able to score the victory with the Falcon Driver.
The second bout had featured The Legion of Doom battle against The Hart Dynasty whom were dead set on getting back in the swing of things. While they may have had the techniqual game, Hawk and Animal were sheer beasts in the ring, able to defeat them with the Doomsday Device.
Third match had featured Tamina against Serena whom was dead set on winning tonight. These two animals nearly tore each other apart, Serena getting sliced over the cheek with a hard claw strike but dispite all of Tamina's offense, one mistaken shoulder tackle into the ropes cost her as Serena scored the Victory with the Fall From Grace, screaming that Del Rey was next.
And in the Main Event it had featured Kenta/Chono and Mutoh against Three of the Four Horsemen and yes this was indeed a brawl to say the least. As much as the twenty minutes of chaos was enough to feed the fans it turned into an abolute riot once Ric Flair came down to the ring to stir the pot up, still enraged over what happened on Monday Nitro, the match getting tossed out and the entire arena became a battlezone with these seven men, Inoki sending out security to break this up the very best he could, saying he was going to put an end to this war once and foreall, as All*Star Wrestling, came to a close.
Week 2
[Play Out]
"My name, my name is Alberto Del Rio and I am your World Heavyweight Champion. Last week your hero came down to the ring and put a quick end to the title reign of Ric Flair and I just couldn't wait to come out here and grace you people-"
{Bish]
"Hold on there Del Rio, there is something we need to discuss and it is vital to you winning that World Championship, I want everyone to please look at the footage on the video wall."
[Play Video footage]
"You see Del Rio, while the referee was able to perform his job, you were tossed into the Time Keeper whom was knocked out and unable to perform his. After reviewing the tape and taking detailed notes from bell to finish, you actually pinned Flair at 15 minutes 18 seconds and you only had a 15 minute time limit. Therefore, by my order, I am releasing you from the World Heavyweight Championship."
Del Rio was furious, telling Bishoff it was bullshit but Eric had some hired security with him just in case, able to subdue Del Rio and took the belt from him.
"Now, later tonight in the Main Event I am going to have a rematch between you and Ric Flair, that is a fair decision that I am willing to make and just to make sure that nothing happens again, I will be at ringside with Cole and Heenan keeping track of time as a secondary. Mr. Del Rio please leave my ring."
Del Rio pulled from the guards almost stirking Bishoff but instead said something in spanish and left the ringside area, heading to the back where Eric was grinning, glad to have the belt over his shoulder.
"Alright folks tonight is the Title Brand Draft, Mr. Inoki has been kind enough to wait for me here on the stage, I have been told to start this Draft with a coin toss and I'll show that it is a two sided coin, and there you can see on the video wall the Four Branded Champions that we'll be fighting over, Mr. Inoki I've been asked to flip and you call it in the air...and I beieve you called head....dammit...alright fine you get the first division pick."
Inoki would shuffle through papers seeming to have a list of whom was in which division, looking up at the video wall at the champions whom were ready to defend their title belts tonight at the very moment their division was called. Inoki made some scratches on the paper and spoke into the microphone.
"New Japan Pro draft....Cruiserweight Division."
[Play Out]
First bout here tonight was Taka Michonoku the champion of that division defending against Joseph Mercury, Melina screaming out on the outside barking out orders as Mercury was able to avoid most of Taka's offense, actually rolling to the outside to slow the pace down.
Mercury would use his strength against Taka, the only way he was really able to keep him grounded and used some of his unorthodox style and kept him guessing, dropping him with powerbombs and snap suplexes, coming off the rope with a moonsault but only scoring a two.
Mercury would get some cheapshots as Melina distracted the ref, kicking him in the corner and tossed him to the other getting booted in the face, Taka now turning the dial up hitting Joey with hard offense, nearly breaking his neck with a brainbuster, Melina climbing the apron, Taka ignoring her but the ref was distracted, Mercury hitting him with a low blow then dropped him with the Mercury Rising SitOut Powerbomb!
The ref would count....ONLY for two, Taka barely kicking out of that as Mercury rose up looking to give him another one, raising him up but Taka rolled forward, off the ropes and blasted him with a dropkick in the corner off the rebound connecting with the Flashkick, the ref checking...and he was out! Taka had retained his title belt here and was Noah Bound, raising the title belt up and pointed towards Inoki, heading up the ramp. Nitro cutting to a break.
[Starrcade Promo]
"Well, nice effort there by Taka, that was one of the divisions that I actually wanted Inoki and you stole it right from under me, but that's okay because I'm going to steal right from you and that is, The United State's Champion Masahiro Chono and it's Division!"
[Play Out]
Chono against Kenta? Oh Bishoff knew exactly what he was doing, flexing his muscles on the kind of matches you COULD be seeing in Nitro as these Japan powerhouses went right at it, it didn't matter if they were allies, a title belt was on the line and these two weren't about to play nice, in fact you'd think they were rivals with the punches, elbows and kicks they were throwing each other.
Kenta proving he was the stronger of the two, able to drop Chono with more of a wrestling striking game, Chono having to reserve his strength and actually use submissions to try and wear him down.
Kenta knowing his wrestling game was able to weasle out and caught him over the head with a kick to the head, Chono rolling to the outside to catch a breath, Kenta going after him and both of them would brawl on the outside, Chono winning that exchange and tossed him into the ring, hitting the big time offense but missed the Yakuza Kick, Kenta picking him up but unable to drop him with the Burning Hammer, both of them catching each other with clotheslines as the ref rang the bell, the match going to the 15 minute draw.
The fans not too happy about that as both of them rose up...and went face to face, oh it looked like Chono was willing to defend it a second time against Kenta whom told him in their native tongue next time, leaving the ring rubbing his jaw as Chono looked ready for round two.
"Well two picks down two more to go folks plus the Main Event Rematch from last week still coming up, when we come back it'll be Richie Steamboat against Kevin Sullivan and everyone within the sound of his voice is trying to talk him out of this bout but it will happen reguardless of what anyone has asked of him, right now lets take you to part one of a two part interview with Eric Bishoff and Kevin Kelly."
"Good evening folks we are here at NWA Headquarters I'm sitting here with Eric Bishoff, two big questions going around everyone's minds, right now we'll focus on the first issue at hand and that is this sudden..turn on John Morrison."
"Well first off let me say there is no turn on John Morrison, you see as a United States champion he was great but as a World Champion, not so much. I mean come on, with Samoa Joe and Stone Cold Steve Austin as Champions how in the hell does someone like John Morrison stack up to those names? So I did what ANY promoter would do and that's promote the hell out of him every possible way I can, but to call him a respectible World Champion, please I think not."
"But Mr. Bishoff the man won triple threats, fatal four ways, Kane and Vader respectively you have to give the man some credit."
"He wins multiman matches anyone can do that and lady luck kissed his forehead twice, hey he lined my pockets and I made him a champion the fans wanted, the one time he was given a challenge with Flair I told him no. I was protecting him just like that old guy from Rocky, the fans didn't want to see him lose, they wanted to keep their champion and I was trying to protect him, protect them from that happening. He went over my head, made a fit about it, got what he wanted and now, I'm the bad guy because now that Flair is Champion we're never getting that belt off of him and it's not like I can fire the guy, he's contracted for life. No, the fans have the luxury of booing me out of the building and that's okay, but in about five years, maybe ten they're going to look back and see the entire time, I was just doing what was best for business, I made John Morrison their champion and if he would have followed my orders and not faced Flair he'd probably still be Champion now, so don't boo me, boo him because he wanted something more than being a World Champion, he got greedy, self righteous and I don't feel bad about him what so ever."
[Play Out]
Sullivan against Richie whom was more than ready to fight, hearing the bell sound and went after him, using his speed and striking game trying to finish Sullivan off quickly though one uppercut and bodyshot completely turned the tides in Sullivan's favor.
The Taskmaster Sullivan was just ripping Richie apart, using wrestling, actual modern wrestling, dropkicks, elbows and slams to keep him down, slapping him over the face time and time again to fight back, pushing him in the corner and dropped him with a superplex, covering only for two as Richie started to fight back.
Oh he had the same fighting spirit as his father, dropping Sullivan to the outside and spilled to the floor with a diving crossbody, Sullivan however using his power and just flung him hard into the barricade then clotheslined him down. He tossed the young dragon into the ring and came off the rope with a diving shoulderblock, actually busting Richie over the mouth, relishing it and splashed him in the corner, tossing him around and finished him off with a clothesline lariat.
He signaled the end of this bout raising him up and dropped Richie down with a suplex capture cutter that he called Guillotine. Covering Richie...for three. Sullivan grinning as he put the young dragon down, rolling out of the ring moving over to Kane and gave him a nod, walking up the ramp with him and stopped half way. He turned seeing Richie rise up and told Kane to 'finish him.'
Kane moved into the ring, now full on attacking Richie whom had little to no chance in surviving this. Taking ten exposed buckle headshots was busted open, Kane dropping him with a clothesline then rolled to the outside, getting a hold of a chair and placed his head within it. He rose Richie up and dropped him with the Last Ride Powerbomb, the chair snapping shut over his throat forcing Richie to spit up blood.
Officials flew down trying to stop this but Kane left once Sullivan gave him a slight nod, knowing...that was enough for now, EMT's quickly flying down to the ring to assist Richie whom was very worse for the wear, Nitro having to cut to a break after that.
We came back as EMT's were moving Richie to the ambulance having to get him to a hospital quickly as he was barely able to breathe bleeding from the throat, ready to move him inside as they were pushed aside, Kane wrapping his big black mit around his throat, squeezing him preventing him from breathing as Sullivan yelled at a barely living Richie.
"Tell your father...this is the LEAST of what we can do...and if he returns we won't hold back."
Kane then let him go forcing him to gag for air, walking off as EMT's had to move fast as we move back to ringside.
"Well that kind of lets the air out of everything doesn't it? Good thing I didn't sign him. Alright Inoki we're down to two divisions and you've been scribbling for the last twenty minutes, we need your pick."
Inoki was on the phone hanging it up making a huge X with his pen, leaning towards the mic.
"Final draft choice is.......Angel Division."

Sara Del Rey against Serena whom was going psycho already, pushing the ref out of the way and jumped her before she got into the ring. She hit her with clubbing blows and knees to the face, blasting her with an uppercut then a headbutt breaking Del Rey's nose.
Serena tossed her hard to the buckle, charging in but Del Rey rolled out of the way, on the rebound catching Serena in a Kimoralock but instead of holding it, she immediately broke the arm.
She released the hold as Serena cursed out, rising up holding her arm as Del Rey picked her up and drove her down with a brainbuster covering for three. Wow, in one minutes 17 seconds Del Rey just crushed Serena whom was on the outside, holding her arm, the ref throwing up the X symbol as obviously Del Rey broke her arm again..and maybe her neck, Bishoff speaking up.
"Way to go Inoki, draft the Angel's division and one of your women are already taken out, smart move. You literally gave me the Tag Team Division along with the Horsemen so you enjoy your crippled Angel's Division-"
[PLay Out]
Holy Shit, what a pop as Del Rey stopped on the ramp as coming from the curtain was, FINALLY Trish Stratus. Inoki was grinning from ear to ear, Bishoff absolutely losing his shit not knowing Inoki had JUST signed her a few moments ago, Del Rey walking up to the stage and went eye to eye with Trish, raising her title belt up to prove her point and walked passed her.
"Wow, what a powerplay by Inoki, it seemed tonight he just screwed Bishoff, he may have the Horsemen but Inoki was able to sign perhaps the greatest woman wrestler in pro wrestling today and on his show, oh the ratings are now going to shift in his favor. That ends the draft with Bishoff having to take the Tag Team Champions by default and the Tag Division I gotta say this is getting interesting lets take you to the ring for our Semi Main Event of the Evening."
[Play Out]
Horsemen against Harlem Heat, finally this match was going to happen and the Horsemen were already pissed off that of ALL the champions they were picked last granted the division alone giving both sides extra fighting power. What a powder keg of a match this was, Horsemen a bit blind with rage here as Heat were able to trick them using their tag team power offense to completely cut the ring in half.
Sherri screaming out orders in jive, Dillion having no idea what she was saying trying to get his team back together. It took some time but the Horsemen were starting to fight back, Tully more so doing the ground work against Stevie, injuring his shoulder in the process cutting the power off, Arn and Tully working on him getting in some cheap shots, NOT a wise move as Stevie turned it around, tagging out to Booker whom went crazy, taking both members down dropping Arn with the Bookends.
He went for the pin but Dillion climbed the apron, distracting the ref but Sherri pulled him down, Dillion slapping her over the face, Sherri responding by smashing his head into the steel post. Oh she wasn't fucking around but from the back came Barry Windham whom grabbed her by the hair and open palm slapped her over the face.
He then finished her off with the Widowmaker Clothesline but that was the least of his troubles as Booker spilled to the floor, starting to battle with him as the ref had no choice but to toss the match out. It was three on two here as the Horsemen completely destroyed Harlem Heat, leaving them a beaten wreck as they took their tag titles and headed up the ramp.
Cameras move to the back where Del Rio was wrapping his wrists up, Kevin Kelly approaching.
"Excuse me Mr. Del Rio if I might just get a word prior to your match here tonight, what is your strategy against the, techniqually still World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair?"
"I beat him last week, time limit or not the ref counted three proving I can beat him, tonight will be no different cause I will beat him again and become, again, the new World Heavyweight Champion...but you already knew that."
[Play Out]
The rematch from last week and this time Bishoff whom was still upset over the draft, had been watching, Flair and Del Rio going at it but this time Flair not only was sober but was a lot more focused. It didn't help that Del Rio was upset over the events from earlier tonight, chops, punches and kicks started off the bout, Flair and Del Rio almost going into a slugfest until Flair gouged the eye, keeping the pace in his favor.
Flair kicked him to the floor yelling at him to stay down but Del Rio slid back in at the count of six, now hitting Flair with his lucha libra offense, catching him over the head with an ensiguri, Flair no selling it and walked around the ring on the outside, blowing a kiss to a fan and flopped upon the floor.
Del Rio would chop to his chest and tossed him back into the ring, Flair kicking the middle rope on the way in causing Del Rio to get crotched, Flair using every trick in the book that he could but Del Rio was crafty, able to drop Flair with back suplexes and dropkicks from all over the place, Dillion having to scream out orders getting Flair back in the game.
Flair on the first chance he had climbed the top rope but Del Rio caught him over the head with a kick, stunning him and climbed up, dropping him with a superplex. Del Rio moved to the corner, signaling it was over, going for the Cross Arm Breaker but Flair weasled out pushing him right into the ref, Flair going for a low blow...but Del Rio caught the fist and turned it into the Cross Arm Breaker.
Flair would kick and curse out, wanting the hell out of that move, Del Rio rocking back and forth knowing he had it this time, no way was he letting go, Flair kicking and dragging himself able to get his foot on the rope. Del Rio let go knowing to wait a moment, going for the El Dorado Suplex but Flair blocked, tossing him to the buckle as both of them collided against the head.
Dillion hitting the apron saying Flair was hurt, the ref making to push him down as Ricardo jerked him down, Flair digging into his tights and blasted Del Rio behind the refs back with the brass knuckles. Del Rio was out cold, Flair covering...for the victory.
Flair won and retained officially the World Heavyweight Championship, slowly rising to his feet and rose his title belt up in the air, The Horsemen coming down to the ring but instead of celebrating, beat the hell out of Del Rio.
Stomping and kicking at him harshly, Bobby Heenan climbing into the ring begging them to have mercy on him as they finished Del Rio off with mercy via a spinebuster. They left him beaten in the ring as Flair took his World Title and left the ring, kicking the railing open and grabbed four women out that they were going to enjoy for the night, wooing out to the crowd as Bishoff just shook his head with a grin as Monday Nitro would Fade To Black.
Final All*Star Wrestling
It was the Final All*Star Wrestling as Inoki said next week they would blast off with a brand new show so tonight he was putting on a super show.
The first match up was Joey Mercury, Frankie Kazarian and Hayabusa in a triple threat bout, Hayabusa scoring the victory of Kazarian with the Falcon Arrow.
Second bout featured Trish Stratus on commentary watching over Molly Holly, MsChif and Manami Toyota whom came in as a spitfire mixing it up with MsChif via submission style. The match carried on for ten minutes with MsChif scoring the win over Molly Holly via Molly-GoRound countered into a powerbomb.
The third bout was cruiserweight action once again featuring La Sombra squaring off against Eddie Guerrero and what a hell of a match this was, so many flips and falls the crowd just ate it up, La Sombra scoring the win just barely via roll up.
The Fourth bout all part of Inoki using his new division called in Prince Devitt facing off against TigerMask IV, the bout didn't go too long until the Bullet Club spilled into the ring though Mask had a little bit of unlikely help in the form of Ultimo Dragon and Hayabusa, Inoki turning it into a Six-Man tag with Ultimo Dragon scoring the victory of Kojima via Asai Moonsault.
And in the Main Event for the final time Masahiro Chono came out with Great Muta, teaming up to face off against Tag Team Champions Arn and Tully. While the bout was as good as it could get, it eventually turned into a four on two brawl. The Horsemen continuig to battle them on as Kenta and Misawa flew down to the ring to try and turn the tides, actually breaking some parts of the ring and the set, Inoki calling out security to maintain control as the final All*Star Wrestling came to a close

[Play Out]
Sara Del Rey against Serena whom was going psycho already, pushing the ref out of the way and jumped her before she got into the ring.
