WWF Raw July 23rd 2012
-Raw opens with Vince Mcmahon coming to the ring, he says that tonight is a celebration because let’s face it; he won! He then says that he has had enough of the biased commentary so allow him to introduce the new third man of the commentary team; Jim Cornette! Cornette banters with JR and King as he takes his place at the desk. Vince then fires RVD and goes on to say that tonight Jushin Liger will defend his IC title against a man of his choosing, and then he invites us all to join him in the ceremony later tonight where he will present the new WWF Champion John Cena with the new WWF Championship belt.
-Delirious VS KENTA VS Davey Richards: This is a face paced break neck paced triple threat match indeed. In the end KENTA nails the GTS and covers for 2 as Richards breaks it up and rolls back for an inside cradle for the 3 count.
-Backstage Chris Sabin is standing alone in the corridor when Dolph Ziggler and Velvet Sky walk up. They laugh and taunt him saying that he is missing something, gold, unlike Ziggler. He then says “I took your women, stopped you from getting this, they took your tag titles. What do you have left?” With that Sabin explodes, pushing Ziggler back into the wall and hammering away into him there. Yelling and shouting various members of the locker room and referees run in and pull the two apart, Dolph answering back with a few shots. The brawl finally broken, Sabin sneering as he is taken away.
-Trish Stratus VS Ayako Hamada: All the match Trish is looking over her shoulder in fear, almost waiting for Kong to come out and get her for her actions last night. This allows Hamada to dominate her, eventually Trish gets her head back into the game and it becomes a good competitive women’s match, Trish able to get a backslide and place her feet on the ropes for the cheap victory. Trish now stands and rushes out of the ring, grinning back at the furious Hamada as she backs up the ramp when…Kong’s music hits. Trish looks back wide eyed at the ramp as Kong comes out, running for it over the guard rail and up high into the arena through the crowd. Kong throws her titles belt at ringside and gives chase, heading over the barrier herself and following Stratus out of site. The heat is on here.
-Now back in Vince Mcmahon’s office when Chris Sabin comes in and demands a match with Ziggler. Vince reminds him that he tried this before; he doesn’t get to make demands. But if he goes out to the ring next he will send him a suitable opponent.
-Chris Sabin VS King Kobashi: Sabin fires hard, avoiding the hard chops and capture power moves using his speed and striking when he gets the chance. Towards the end of the match he heads to the top rope and flies off, down into Kobashi with a cross body, then goes over to pull himself up on the ropes when wham! Dolph Ziggler is there and nails him with the X Division Championship behind the refs back as he checks on Kobashi. Kobashi then grabs Sabin and drives him down with the brain buster for the 3 count. Kobashi leaves in victory, nodding over to Dolph as he has his hands raised high, heading up to the back. Ziggler looking in and broadly grinning at the out cold Sabin, the damage done again. He then kisses Velvet, grabs her and leaves as Sabin slowly pushes himself up off the mat and glares on.
-IC Championship: Jushin “Thunder” Liger VS the Rock: Liger is not happy about this at all as he stares over, his cocky opponent entering the ring and trash talking at him. The bell is then called for and we are underway. Before the last one has rang out Rock is across the ring hammering into Liger with open hands to the head and then going for the Rock Bottom to end it earlier, but Liger manages to get out of it and fire back with palm strikes beating Rock back now. Liger then takes control for the next few minutes with various holds and moves; Rock though manages to get back into it, hammering Liger into the guard rail and the ring post among moves and other impactful game changers. They continue to trade back and forth on offense for the next 12 minutes until Liger hammers into the up Rock in the middle of the ring and comes back for the Liger wheel kick, but Rock grabs him and turns it into a spine buster, standing and then hitting the Hollywood Elbow! Covering for 1…2….NO!!! The crowd explodes as Liger kicks out, as the does, in a tantrum of rage that is. Standing yelling various insults as his stomps away on Liger on the mat. He then grabs him for the Rock Bottom, but Liger is able to charge forward sending them back crushing the referee in the corner taking him out! Rock them hammers back and drives Liger down with the snap DDT, standing and then setting up for the Rock Bottom, looking for it…when bam! He is nailed with a spear from Goldberg! The crowd is going berserk now as Goldberg grins down at the fallen Rock, then slicing his throat and heads out of the ring, security running down the ramp and giving chase as he runs out of the arena. Back in the ring now Rock eventually groggily rises, the ref coming to as he spins around into Liger who heaves him up and down with the Liger Bomb for 1…2…3!!! Liger has done it again, thanks in a large part to Goldberg Liger is still the IC Champ, taking his belt and holding it up to a loud cheer before leaving just as he came.
-Backstage Vince is going nuts throwing things and yelling. He asks how the hell Goldberg got in here, Hogan calms him and says that he just got word that the boys have chased him out of the area and have him in handcuffs, he won’t be coming back. Vince yells that it’s a bit late for that, he then calms and says that he has another idea as we fade out.
-The Easy Ryders comes to the ring and challenger any tag team in the back to come out and face them. They get…Mankind and Abyss. Mankind and Abyss destroy them with power move and devastating strikes one after the other, finally finishing as Abyss nails the Black hole slam in Ryder, E running in for break it up but Mankind catches him in the mandible claw! The referee shrugs his shoulder, drops down and makes the 3 count. Mankind and Abyss stand, standing tall over the destroyed Ryders, Mankind then drops down into his rocking sitting position as behind him Abyss does his muscle flex pose with his chain. “Folks if there was ever a team I would not ever want meet it would be these two. This is scary” JR comments. “They should be locked up and the key thrown away. Least it will give Mick time to write his best selling, somewhat selling, 2 dollar sale selling books” Cornette replies.
-We get a subdued promo from Wade Barrett in which he talks about what happened to him last night and how Cena and the rest of them better watch their backs, because he has a new mission in life; payback. He says now he finally understands why Joe beat him so badly all those times, now he knows what it’s like to be screwed. He says he feels nothing now but hate.
-Cut to inside a lounge like locker room where the Rock, with a towel around his neck and Hogan, their newly won tag title belts mounted on the back of the sofa behind them as they are yelling at Vince. “Well the Rock says that you can let Goldberg in so the Rock can kick his candy ass, he is the best damn intercontinental Champion of all time and he ain’t about to let some power ranger take that from him because of that bald bastard!” “How did he get in the building! I’ve dealt with him before! Let me try again Vince!” Hogan adds. “No one will do anything, he’s in police custody and besides I have a much better idea about how to deal with him. Now tonight we won’t let our moods be spoiled, tonight we celebrate our success, the success of the plan perfectly last night! So what if Liger got away with his belt again, we will deal with him and his title soon enough. The rest if ours! Now go change, it’s coming up and we want this be a night to remember don’t we?” Vince asks, to which they both nod and walk off as he grins after them.
-The Londrick VS The Natural Born Killers: Solid grudge tag match here that whips the live crowd into a frenzy as amazing high flying offense is countered into massive, devastating power moves from the NBK as Estrada laughs and yells on from the outside. In the final moments Kendrick goes up onto the top rope but in comes Burchill to grab him off. But as he does, behind him London dropkicks Rekks down and then runs in sweeping the legs of Burchill as Kendrick drives off with a cross body press into a double pin for the 3. Londrick have beaten the NBK, they look more shocked about it that anyone as the boos sound out, they laugh, grabbing each other and backing up the ramp with huge grins on their faces. In the ring NBK is on tirade, livid as Armando tries to calm them down. “I think this rivalry is far from over for the Killers” JR comments as we go to break.
-Main Event Segment: Vince comes out with Hogan, Rock and Trish. All are grinning broadly as Vince makes a speech about how justice was served and finally his company is back on the right track. He then introduces Cena. Cena comes out and gives a long winded speech about his victory, what it means and how symbolic this “new” title is of returning to an age where the company’s priorities were in order. They then unveil a new WWF version of Cena’s spinner belt. He holds it up and continues to rant to loud boos when Shawn Michael’s music hits.
The crowd goes wild as Shawn Michaels, AJ Styles and Bryan Danielson come onto the stage. They glare into the ring at Legendary who spread out preparing for a fight. And they give it to them, charging down the ramp and into the ring, sliding in and charging it at full speed, fists flying back and forth with fury as the crowd roars. Trish is just standing back watching this, not sure what to do when Mickie James hits the ring, tackling Trish down and hammering into her on the mat, brawling her out of the ring. Back in the ring the fight is still toe to toe until to a cheer Wade Barrett runs down the ramp, he looks pissed and he wants some from what happened to him last night. Cena has just fought off HBK and turns around right into a hard lariat from Barrett taking his head off. Barrett now gets to his knees and hammers away. Then suddenly to a loud roar Samoa Joe is coming down, entering the ring and bowling Rock and Hogan over to loud cheers. Legendary are in trouble, being overcome here. Vince stands back watching this with wide eyes, looking very worried and yells out “Now!” The commentators wonder what or who he is calling for, but it is soon answered as to loud boos the Dudley Boyz come out carrying a table, sliding it into the ring. Then as Bubba joins the fight D-Von goes under the ring and gets another one and setting it up on the outside. Bubba runs in and hammers Wade Barrett back, then as he is distracted in battling the Rock Bubba grabs the table and runs in, Joe turning just in time of it to be driven down and break over his head! The crowd reacts loudly as Joe falls to the mat in a pile of wood. The Dudley’s have now set another table up in the ring and call for Hogan, who nods and throws them Bryan sending him right into a 3D through the table! But Wade Barrett is back and hammers into Hogan, the Dudleyz are right on him though beating him down with a double team fists from both sides. But behind them now rises…Samoa Joe, the crowd roaring as the table pieces part and his rises up from under them, throwing the last of them off of his head as he stands and glaring with red rage filled eyes as the 3D duo. But as comes in from behind comes the Miz! Smashing a steel chair off the back of the Samoan and then a couple more times, then slamming him down by the head with it into the mat and mounting him for mounted punches. But Joe still fights on! Pushing Miz off and then yelling out as he tackles him through the ropes to the outside of the ring, the two standing and now trading furious heated blows, brawling around the ring.
“Miz what are you doing!” Cornette yells out, but indeed the weapons have slowed Joe allowing Miz to stand somewhat toe to toe in the hatred filled back and forth, now spilling over the guard wall and out of sight into the crowd.
Back in the ring now Shawn Michaels now runs in and nails Bubba Ray with sweet chin music, but then turns right around into a Rock Bottom! Rock grins as he stomps away on HBK, Cena smiling over at this as he rises and then heaves up his new WWF spinner belt, running and smashing it down over AJ’s head. Hogan, Rock and Cena now regroup in the ring and Vince yells loudly and with venom for them to “punish those sons of bitches!” All three core Legendary members booting way on their downed foes.
GLASS BREAKS! AUSTIN’S MUSIC HITS
The roof is blown off the arena, the crowd jumping up and down as Stone Cold Steve Austin returns! Walking out onto the stage in a new 3:16 shirt and staring down with purpose at the men in the ring. All the action has stopped, his three only real peers in terms of stardom staring right back with shock and surprise, Cena, Rock and Hogan now lifting their fists ready for a fight. Austin marching down into the ring. He glares at all three men as they ready themselves to fight him, starting to mouth off now, shaking his head as various heated words are traded between him and Legendary. It looks ready to explode.
“No! No!” Vince yells out parting the three and steeping between them, backing them off, talking them down that he can handle it and then turns to Austin with a grin now, slowly walking forward and extending his hand. Thunderous boos as Austin glares down at it, the crowd pleading for this not to be true.
“No damit Austin! Don’t do it Steve, no matter what you cannot trust that son of a bitch, any of those sons of bitches!” JR yells on commentary.
“He’s going to do it Ross! Get ready to announce Steve Austin as the 4th core member of Legendary!” Cornette replies.
“Maybe” King agrees.
Austin looks at the hand for a few moments, then out at the crowd who yell their wanted response. He then looks back to Vince, all of Legendary looking on with caution as Vince pushes his hand forward to Austin a few more times emphatically, calling that he knows it’s where he belongs. Austin then breaks into a big smile matching Vince’s, bring his hand up to Vince’s, the two former enemies laughing together, legendary relaxing as Austin’s hand come up…then head with his other into Mcmahon’s face with double birds! Vince’s eyes grow wide, his face priceless but he doesn’t have time to react as Austin then boots him in the gut and delivers the Stone Cold Stunner! Rock, Cena and Hogan now running in…but from behind come HBK, Barrett, Bryan and AJ, hammering them down. Austin then turns and grabs Cena off HBK, battering into him, flipping him off and then giving him a mighty stunner as well. Meanwhile behind him AJ and Bryan lift Rock up and throw him over the top rope through the table on the outside. The arena has no roof left, the roaring cheer deafening now, the fans jumping for joy as Shawn waits on the rising Hogan and then blasts him with sweet chin music sending him tumbling out of the ring. Shawn then turns with all the others to look at Austin as he stands over Cena, Austin turns and looks at them. Shawn now coming in and extending his hand, Austin looks at it for a moment then boots him in the gut and gives Shawn a stunner as well! Many can’t believe it as Austin stands over the fallen Michaels; HBK’s allies taken back a moment but then finally come to and run in but from behind come the Dudley Boyz beating Barrett out of the ring, of which distraction allows Austin to closeline AJ and Bryan out of the ring. The Dudleyz then run in, Devon first into wham! A stunner…Bubba is next, misses a closeline and kick, wham! A stunner for Bubba as well sending him tumbling out of the ring. Austin stands as now Cena is pulling himself up on the ropes and groggily turns around right into a second Stone Cold Stunner leaving him laying out cold on the mat. Austin then walks forward, reaches down and picks up Cena’s new WWF title belt and then to a massive roar holds the title belt over his head in his signature pose as his music hits. The crowd is wild, cheering for Austin.
“Stone Cold is on the same side he has always been on and that’s his. But one thing is for certain. He is back!” JR calls.
Austin then spits on Cena’s belt and throws it on his, going out of the ring and grabbing the former world title belt, HIS WWF title belt that he held first and goes to the corner, being thrown and beer and cracking it on HIS belt, throwing it back as the logo appears and Raw fades to black.

WWF Raw July 30th 2012
-We begin Raw with John Cena and Mcmahon leading Legendary along with the Dudley Boyz to the ring. Vince first clears up that the Dudleyz are not members of Legendary, then have simply been paid to do a job handsomely and last week they did their job well…until Austin. Cena then cuts in and cuts a running down promo on Austin, his absence, he return and refusal. He makes clear that no one refuses Legendary, and Austin is running around without a contract as far as he was concerned since he never joined and breached his contract after Wrestlemania. But he personally would like to extend an invitation to Stone Cold to join himself and Vince, no one else, later tonight to give him one last chance. He finishes up saying is and will remain the champ, because the champ is here and he is here to stay. HBK, Bryan and AJ then come out. Shawn says that they have talked about this and they saw what they did to the Guns. He says that right now Bryan and AJ have something they want. AJ the mic and yells that he and Bryan want a Tag Team title shot! Rock now has the microphone and runs them down as only he can, Hogan joining in with it when Vince cuts in saying that sure…they can have their title shot, if they beat their contracted help the Dudley Boyz here tonight. AJ and Bryan agree and yelling continues as we go to break.
-Samoa Joe VS Jack Swagger: Samoa batters Swagger, suplexing him around the ring and then locks in the coquina clutch for the definitive tap out victory, not letting go however until Jack passes out. He then stands, sneering as he grabs a microphone. Joe says that what Miz did last week was stupid, that night his rage had deflected a bit onto Legendary but now it’s all back on him, but it always was because he says that he hasn’t nearly enough blood out of Miz yet. Miz comes out sporting a new rougher look with a slight beard and slicked back hair. He says that he beat Joe before and he did it by going to a dark place, it took some time, especially with Barrett and the title muddling things a bit. But Joe still hasn’t beat him since December. Got that win back. And now after last week, after Retribution he has found it again. And he will use it to destroy Samoa Joe once and for all. Joe begs him to try. Miz breaks off to come down after him, Joe readying for a brawl but to loud boos security run out on mass and get between the two, dragging Miz to the back as they yell at each other, Joe calling he is dead and meat and Miz calling back that it’s the other way around. To bring it.
-Vince is in his office, speaking into the camera and saying that he wants that IC title off of Liger, but all his players are busy right now. So, he will give 100 thousand dollars to the man to finally do it, this offer does not expire but he hopes it will be met sooner rather than later, perhaps at Summerslam. He says that the person who will get it will be the person who asks for it and then proves himself the man for the job, and that man will get a title shot at Summerslam.
-Daffney comes to the ring and says that she is sick of being locked over in this women’s division and that she will take on any women who comes out here to face her. KENDRA RETURNS! Daffney looks on in shock as her former Partner Kendra returns, Daffney does take it to Kendra with vicious offense but the beast powers her down at every turn, throwing her away and slamming her down. But just as she is ready to finish it Daffney bolts from the ring, running up the ramp and taking the count out. Loud boos as Daffney waves it off and heads up to the back, Kendra glaring on. “I don’t think this is over” JR comments.
-Backstage Christian runs into Vince who is on the phone apparently inviting Goldberg to meet with him next week. Christian waits then says that he is the man for the job, Vince tells him to go out there and prove it against Liger himself!
-Christian VS Jushin “Thunder” Liger: Christian certainly gives it everything he has, throwing all of his offense base at Liger, but Liger giving it right back in a great back and forth technical but heated wrestling bout. In the final moments Christian goes for the Killswitch but Liger throws him into the corner then catches him and drives him down with CTB for the 1, 2, 3. The crowd cheers heavily as Liger stands tall, the victory getting his hand raised with his 2 year reigning title belt in the other hand. Backstage we see a shot of Vince watching this on a monitor and shaking his head, tonight Christian is showed that he is not the man for the job.
-Dolph Ziggler comes out and cuts a promo on Chris Sabin, running him down and making out with Velvet to rub it in his face.
-Dolph Ziggler VS Alex Shelly w/ Chris Sabin: Sabin is in his partners corner for this and boy o boy is this one fierily match. As on the outside Velvet and Sabin yell encouragement and insults, egging it on and yelling abuse at each other even Ziggler and Shelly beat the living daylights out of each other. Bloody noses and buts lips come out of this from the very stiff and hate filled punched, but a costly misstep from Alex comes when he missed the frog splash, crashing on the mat which allows Ziggler to hit the Zig-Zag for the 3 count!
Ziggler rises grinning broadly down at Sabin who is livid, holding his head and slamming the apron in anger. Velvet then jumps into her mans arms, giving him his belt. The two point and laugh at Sabin and then passionately, graphically make up with each other. That is all he can stand, Sabin runs into the ring for yell out as he charges for them but Ziggler and Velvet run for it, Ziggler holding his X Division title belt in one hand and pulling Velvet up the ramp with the other as Sabin seethes on from the ring after then, tending to Shelly and helping him up but still glaring on and the wide eyed couple wisely take their leave.
-Trish Stratus VS Sarita: Sarita does give it all she’s got in a good bout, but in the end the Stratisfaction gets the three count for the cocky number one contender.
The only female member of Legendary stands, flicking her hair over her shoulders, dusting then off, blows a kiss to the camera with a smug grin and goes to leave when…Awesome Kong comes out, charging into the ring. Trish one again bails, heading out of the ring before Kong even gets into it, avoiding the champion but backs right into…Mickie James! The crowd roaring as Mickie hammers into her and then throws her back into the ring where Kong grabs her and drives her down with 3 Awesome Bombs! The crowd loving it, Mickie too grinning on as Kong stands over the out cold Trish and holds her women’s title high. “Hate to say it, but it don’t look like that women’s title is going anywhere” Cornette calls as we cut to break.
-AJ Styles & Bryan Danielson VS the Dudley Boyz: The Dudleyz mean business here, they have their marching orders, putting all they have behind their punches and rugged offense. AJ and Bryan however have skill on their side, the pure champion living up to it as he uses his technical skill to counter many attacks into submissions and impactful moves, AJ using his speed to avoid and counters attack and then hitting it big with high risk offense. But towards the end it doesn’t seem to pay off as AJ misses a springboard DDT, reversed into a Bubba Bomb! But it only gets a 2 count as AJ kicks out! Bubba now tags in Devon, yelling to him as they set up for the 3D! But Bryan is back and nails Bubba to a dropkick sending him out of the ring, AJ then nailing the Pele Kick on Bubba and covering for 1…2…NO! It’s broken up as AJ is jumped by The Londrick! Loud boos as the bell sounds for the disqualification, everything not booing just looking on in confusion as Brian and Paul beat down AJ and then turn to Bryan, double teaming him back across the ring and down. The Brian Kendrick now yells for the microphone snatching one from a ring hand. He yells that why should these men that aren’t even a real tag team get the shot! They proved themselves time over in the tag division here and that match at Summerslam against Hogan and Rock should be theirs. They continue to beat down on AJ and Bryan when NBK comes out! Estrada points the way down the ramp with his cigar as Burchill and Rekks charge into the ring and hammer into Londrick now, beating then down big time, closelining and power slamming them to hell. When…The Easy Ryders come out! They say why they should be overlooked! They deserve their shot too! They then join the fray, getting in cheap shots on anyone then can. MANKIND AND ABYSS and then come out! The two manic monsters charge into the ring, getting a piece of anyone that can and viciously throwing and beating them down, almost clearing the ring. On the outside the Dudleyz and AJ and Bryan watch this in confusion shaking their head at this all out melee in the ring between the four teams. Referees and security now run out on mass, losing a few numbers but eventually managing to get things stable, pulling the wild brawl apart, but it takes high numbers for these 8 men. AJ and Bryan are now ushered to the back with a couple of guards, the Dudleyz yelling they won nothing after them. Refs and security now work hard to calm the chaos, finally starting to settle it as we go to our final break.
-Vince and Cena comes out, first Vince saying that a DQ is not a way to earn a title shot and that there will be a tables match rematch on SD! He then goes on to calling out Austin. Austin comes out and cuts a promo on why he was away, why he came back and why he did what he did last week. He says he has always been on one side and one side only and that’s his, and even if it went against everything he wanted and all the logic in the world he would never align himself with Vince, Rock, Hogan or “the kids TV King gone after hours!” In reference to Cena. Cena then cuts him off and the two go back and forth verbally, Austin saying that he wants “his damn shot” the shot he says he is owed after what went down at Wrestlemania. Vince says that he has earn that title shot and he isn’t owed a “damn thing!” Cena agrees. SHANE MCMAHON then comes out, Shane says that the board know Vince is doing what is right for business but they hired him to keep him in line as Chief Operating Officer. He says that Mr. Austin does indeed deserve his title shot and he will get it at Summerslam. Vince counters that he can overrule anything, he is still the boss, but he will work with him on this. He will be diplomatic. Vince says he will give Austin his shot, Cena is livid but Vince talks him down, under one condition. If Austin losses then he must “take his rightfully place and join Legendary.” And he must stick to it, if he “takes his ball and goes home” he will breach his new contract that will be signed up should this deal pass and will sued for every penny he has got. Shawn says its Austin’s choice. Austin mulls it over for a bit but then says that they have a deal and extends his hand to Cena. Cena steps forward and takes it. Austin pulling him in and the two going to nose to nose in a heated stare down as Vince and Shane look on. Austin then flinches as if he is about to go for the stunner but stops and laughs as Cena as he has dropped his title and looks ready to go. The stare down continuing as Raw comes to an end.
Smackdown!
SD opens with Vince and Shane in Vince’s office saying that have come to an agreement about the tag team situation on Raw. They say that the number one contender tables match will go on as planned tonight; if they win they get the title shot. However there will also be a 4 corners tag team match to decide the next number one contenders between The Londrick, NBK, The Easy Ryders and Mankind & Abyss. If AJ and Bryan win then, which Vince adds they won’t, then that match will be at Summerslam as well. If AJ and Bryan don’t win then that match will be on next week’s Raw and the winners will face Rock and Hogan at Summerslam.
Awesome Kong VS Mickie James: A match obviously made by Mcmahon and it works as Kong destroys James, Trish watching on backstage with a broad grin as Kong Implant Busters Mickie from the top rope into the mat for the 3 count. Mickie is out of the game and Trish is happy, but Kong is still pissed and getting worse.
The Easy Ryders VS The American Wolves: The Easy Ryders via Ryder hooking Edwards tights and placing his feet on the ropes. As they leave they yell that they will be the next tag team champions.
King Kobashi VS Delirious: King Kobashi
Chris Sabin VS Doug Williams: Chris Sabin, after which he yells that he wants Ziggler.
The Miz VS KENTA: The Miz, after which he cuts a promo on Joe saying that he knows he wasn’t man enough to be here tonight but his day is coming next week on Raw.
Tables Match for the Tag Team No.1 Contendership: AJ Styles & Bryan Danielson VS the Dudley Boyz. Despite a hell of a battle, and attempted interference from Rock and Hogan which is thwarted by Wade Barrett and HBK lead out by Shane who orders them to the back. AJ and Bryan manages to send those Dudleyz through their own tables and get the win. AJ and Bryan are your number one contenders. Vince is outraged, Legendary and him yelling furiously at this, Vince firing the Dudleyz from the Legendary payroll as HBK holds his boys hands up, standing tall as Smackdown comes to an end.
WWF Raw August 14th 2012
-The show kicks off with JR telling us that Shane Mcmahon is not hear tonight for corporate reasons and HBK, Bryan and AJ have yet to arrive due to a public appearance in the next town over.
We then officially begin with Vince coming down with Legendary. Vince explains that the reason he added that stipulation to the contract is 2 fold; For one he wants to teach Stone Cold some humility and secondly the idea behind the core group of Legendary is to have the biggest names, the biggest superstars of all time join together to take back and rescue the WWF from the internet darlings and nerd nitch crap, and someone doing that without that final piece, that final person just isn’t right. He grins as he says he will be a very happy man, his life will be complete when he sees Steve Austin, the mighty Stone Cold have to do his bidding. Because if he doesn’t then he will be breaking his contract for the second time, that along with his suspension last year will be three strikes and not only will he be fired if he doesn’t do as he is told, but he will be sued for every penny that “I” ever made for him and gave him! Vince then calls out his special guest for tonights Raw: Goldberg. He thanks the sneering Bill for coming and then runs over a few things saying that he understand that Goldberg must have gotten frustrated that Vince took him off TV when he came back into power. But coming back and attacking Cena, costing the Rock, was not the way to go about it. Cena nods with a sneer, the Rock grabs the microphone from Vince and berates Goldberg calling him small minded among other things. Vince backs Rock off, calming him down but says he agrees with one of his points; Bill was narrow minded in attacking them. Not only does he threaten his job here in the WWF...Goldberg cuts him off yelling “what job? You mean being feed nobodies and worthless competition just to give me something to do! I made my debut against the Pope, who I should have gone after was the WWF Champion! But the previous powers that be didn’t let me! And you, you did worse, you took me off the road and TV altogether. I am undefeated since I came to this circus show! I dominated in the NWA before I came here, I was mister G1! They gave me chances to beat people....worthy people. You think I care about me job here? I can just go back to them!” “You could,” counters Vince “but you were a trade, and that means they are using the money they paid you on someone else and you would be a hell of a lot less than the big money deal that that idiot Dutton signed you to! That is all you care about in this business isn’t it Bill? Money?” Goldberg grows wide eyed, he looks like he wants to tear Mcmahon apart as he replies. “Just like before huh Vince? Its 2003 all over again! You didn’t make me. you didn’t want me and so you are going to take the guy that helped WCW beat you in the ratings, the guy who helped NWA beat this show in the ratings a number of times and bury me again! Because you know as well as I do, and they do, I can beat any one of these pampered over the hill centre pieces you got! Hell I beat two of them already...and the other...give me a chance and screw Steve Austin, I will take his belt, melt it down and crown myself the new World Champion!” He glares right into Cena’s wide eyes now as he says “I said you’re next Cena. It’s only a matter of time.” “You’ll face who I will tell you to face! And you can like it or you can go home, hell I’ll release you from your contract right now. You walk out and I will let you go. But I will have won. Look around Bill, you belong in this group, but just like Austin you are too narrow minded to see it. So...you will fight who I tell you until I figure out what to do with you. Now...get out of MY RING before I fire you.” Goldberg does not look happy, he does not look like he is going to leave but eventually uniformed security come down and encourage it. Vince yelling after him the whole time as he is taken away.
The glass then breaks and Austin comes out. He says that he heard what Vince says and that’s fine because it really doesn’t matter what kind of back up plans Vince has, they won’t matter because he won’t be losing at Summerslam. “At Summerslam in 13 days Stone Cold Steve Austin will walk into that ring, stomp a mud hole in that glittery wannabe black man piece of trash! Nail him with a stunner or 2, or however many it takes and walk out WWF Champion. And don’t worry about you little crappy little spinny belt, because I’ll just melt that piece of *beep* down, wear it around my neck and bring back the real WWF Championship belt!” Cena yells back “what the one from 98? Come back from the past old man!” “The past? Well hell son if anyone’s living in the past its you! If i’m living in 1998 then you are living in the 80‘s. because no one in the 21st century goes out looking like that!” “Coming from you Austin, snakeskin man, I really don’t think you can say anything about anyones fashion taste!” “Oh well see heres the thing boy wonder, the skin of this came from a real snake that I killed and skinned myself, which is exactly what I’m gonna do to your denim ass in two weeks!” “Oh really? Well try now! No? Shawn and his wrasslers aren’t here yet are they? You have the guys to come face us all by yourself!” Austin thinks about it for a second, looking to his pretend watch, out at the crowd to a loud cheer and then nods, throwing his cap off and charging down the aisle towards the ring.
As he slides in the people are going berserk, he charges in, ducking a closeline from Cena, hammering him away, then hammering the incoming Rock back, then Hogan, he keeps this up for a few moments until finally the numbers overcome him and to loud boos Austin is beating down into the mat, Rock Hogan and Cena hammering and stomping away as Vince yells for them to destroy him. But then the crowd errupt as Wade Barrett runs out charging into the ring and beating them back of Austin. And soon as Austin rises, their combined efforts plus the element of surprise alows for them to beat them back. Cena retreating under behest from Vince as Barrett and Austin closeline Rock and Hogan over the top ropes on opposide sides and out. They then back off right into each other, turning with a start and raising their fists at the other.
“Alright you want to play this game!” Vince yells out now with his mic in hand as he and Legendary retreat up the ramp “fine! I have a match made for tonight...and I beat you all know what it is. You think I’ll just team those two no good sons of bitches up against Rock and Hogan huh? Hell no! Shane isn’t hear tonight so I can do whatever I what. Tonight in that very right Wade Barrett you will face both of the Easy Ryders in a handicap match!” Barrett glares on, placing his hands on his hips and shaking his head. “But that not all...Austin. You like to take on a challenge, you like to be outnumbered...well tonight in the Main Event you will take on Manking and Abyss in a no disqualifcation handicap match! Not hit my music!” The crowd react to that as Vince’s music hit and he storms up the ramp, Rock, Hogan and Cena especially laughing back at them as they follow. In the ring Austin looks pissed, then looks up to Barrett who still with his hands on his hip slowly looks around, a heated stare down taking place until Barrett finally nods and leaves, Austin glaring on as we go to out first break.
Trish Stratus VS Daffney VS Ayako Hamada: This special three way dance kicks off to a heated start and never slows down. Action personified back and forth it goes until a break neck sequences of near moves including a closeline and DDT, a matrish and a samoan drop end when Hamada nails the AP Cross on Daffney to get the 1,2,3. Daffney is gone. Hamada stands from that and is grabbed from behind and driven into the mat with a reverse DDT from Trish for 2. Trish then nails the chick kick for a close near fall. She then finishes it with the stratusfaction...but Hamada reverses that into the Hamada-Chan cutter for 1....2....NO! Trish just kicks out! “What a match here kicking us off on Monday Night Raw!” We now see a dark shot of Awesome Kong watching this backstage with her title belt over her shoulder, glaring at the screen. Hamada now picks Trish up and sets her up for the AP cross but as she drops Trish drops down reversing it into a roll up for 1...2...3!
“Wow they don’t call her the best women’s wrestler ever for nothing Jim Ross!” Cornette exclaims “what a win heading into her title match for Summerslam.” “What a statement” King agrees. “Indeed” JR adds “indeed Trish is on a roll as of late. And after taking out Mickie James last week no one stands in her way but Kong...but its Awesome Kong folks.”
Christy Hemme now comes into the ring for a post match interview. “Trish! Trish! A heck of a win for sure, you certainly must feel confident going into next Sunday.”
“Why because of that? That honey is my job! I can do it any night of the week. As for Kong, I was always confident! That belt is mine at Summerslam, so that big dead weight better shine it up for me!”
“Will all due respect you weren’t saying that last week when she...”
“Oh really? You though that was me being afraid last week? Scared? Look women, did it ever occur to you that the reason I didn’t answer you last week is I was bored of your skank ass! Not go do your job somewhere else, and by job and I mean get your boobs out and look pretty while the stars talk!” The crowd reacts as Trish pushes her away and grabs the microphone, looking into the camera “Kong, I’ll see you at Summerslam! I am the sole Legendary women in the WWF. Remember what I said...shine that belt up!” With that she drops the microphone and holds up her arms in a swaggering pose to thunderous boos, swaying her hips as she steps out of the ring very proud of herself. We cut back to backstage where Kong is gone and the monitor she was walking has been punches in, destroyed and sparking.
We now cut to another part of backstage where we see Chris Sabin walking...right into Dolph Ziggler and Velvet Sky to heavy boos.
“Whoah hey!” Ziggler holds up his hands as Sabin raises his fists “I’m not looking for a fight yet bro, save that for later. I take it you heard about the match made for tonight?”
“Yeah. I can’t wait. A chance to kick your ass before Summerslam, a chance to kick both your cheap asses!”
Velevet screams out and goes to slap him but Dolph stops her, holding his hand up with a smug grin “hold up babe.” “But you heard what he...” “I doesn’t matter. Because tonights a mixed tag team match and the chalk board says that this losser gets to choose his partner. Well good look with that Sabin, cause as I proved months ago...no women wants to go near you! Good luck.” With that they couple laugh and walk off, Sabin sneering after them as we fade back to ringside.
Wade Barrett VS The Easy Ryders: The Ryders swagger out very confident and very happy with tonights match. Barrett comes out and he looks like he means buisness as the bell rings. E now goes on the apron, clapping and yelling that for Ryder as he goes in to lock up with Barrett but is pushed down to the ground. What follows it a series of closelines and hip tosses as Barrett throws Ryder from pillar to post. With a grimace on his face he then tags in E who gets his ass handed to him, until a thumb to the eye and few speedy moves and strikes allow him to beat on Barrett. Over the next few minuets the Ryders tags back and forth, their double team efforts finally beating Barrett down. But then the Barrett barrage gets going, he nails both men with side slams then his E with a running powerslam. But Ryder breaks that up at 2. Barrett stands from that and closelines him down, then turns and closelines Ryder inside out, turns and big boots E down then nails Ryder with the Waste Land for 1,2 3. “He did it! Wade Barrett beat 2 men, he cleaned house with them!” Annouces JR as Barrett stands tall. He holds himself a bit, but shakes it off, getting his hands raised and holding his arms up before leaving the ring. We see a shot backstage now of Vince glares on in anger at this result.
We then hurriedly cut to backstage where as the commition of people parts we see the Miz beating the hell out of the Samoe Joe in the backstage corridors, grabbing his head and driving into the drinks vendor and then the wall over and over again. Blood pouring as finally Miz is pull off of him “Scare of you! What do you think now!" He yells back at Joe as he is dragged away “you still think I’m scared of you now?” EMT’s who surround Joe to aid him as we fade to break.
When we come back we see Barrett holding himself as he walks down the corridor when a we hear a voice yelling his name, it’s HBK. Shawn runs up and asks what the hell is he doing? “What?” Asks Barrett. “Helping Austin? He made it clear when he stunned us that he isn’t into playing with a the team.” “Hey...look, I saw he charge in there as he does and I knew he had no chance against them. So I went down to help, it was the right thing to do. Are you telling me you and your boys wouldn’t have done the same were you here?” Shawn looks his heads for a moment with no reaction, sighs and then looks up and Barrett “Wade...just be careful. You won your match tonight and Steve...” “Steve has no shot! I beat my two but they were two Punks! He has two psycopathics monsters! We both know without help he hasn’t got a hope in hell. And it’s no DQ so...” “So stay out of it. I know your not with us Wade, offically, but you know the score and you are a good man to have at our backs. You have a score to settle with them just like we do. But later on as you watch that match, if you get even a though of going out there and helping him remember that stunner, remember his catchphrase; DTA. Don’t Trust Anybody. I’m just looking out for you kid” With that Shawn walks off as Barrett stares on in conflicted thought.
Mixed Tag Team match: Dolph Ziggler and Velvet Sky VS Chris Sabin & :
Dolph and Velvet swagger out and now stand grinning from ear to ear, Ziggler chewing gum as he stands in his pink cut off t-shirt and X Division title belt around his waist. The two are barely surpressing their urge to laugh, chuckling as Sabin stands on the stage alone. But he has a microphone.
“So look like I need a partner...I was told I could pick any women I wanted.”
“Yeah who? Whose gonna help you?” Ziggler yells up at him. Velvet and he laughing at him.
“Well Dolph, Velvet. Let’s just say that I may of had to go through different channels to get this one. But I found someone. Not exactly a chick I will be taking out on a date any time soon...but certainly a women good to have at my back in a fight!” KENDRA COMES OUT/RETURNS! Velvet and Dolph’s smiles have dropped completly off their faces as the monster storms out, to stand next to Sabin “She’s back...” King calls. Kendra then marches down the ramp with Sabin following, the grin now on his face as his choosen partner and himself get into the ring. The match is on.
And this folks is a shit kicking, Sabin just beating the hell out of Ziggler at every chance he gets, the crowd loving it as he takes every piece of revenge of of his silver trunked ass as he can. And when Ziggler finally manages to tag in Velvet...she yells at him, scared for her life, the color draining right out of her face as Kendra comes into the ring. But she refuses to get in, the referee starting to count but that isn’t nessesary as Kendra comes over and grabs her with both hands, throwing Sky into the ring and then proceeding to kick the living hell out of her with move after move after damn power move. FInally she then nails the tombstone piledriver as on the outside Ziggler tries goes to come in but Sabin dives through the ropes onto him, hammering away as in the ring Kendra covers for 1...2...3! Sabin stands and grins into the ring as the slowly rising Kendra as she gets her hand raised, smiling even more broadly at the destroyed Velvet under her. But that momentary distraction of victory has allowed Dolph to grab his title belt and scamper, run around the ring and away. Leaving his girlfriend out of it in the ring as he hugs his title belt to himself, backing up the ramp as Sabin joins Kendra in the ring. Both staring on as Sabin yells and gestures that the title will be his.
Quick backstage promo with AJ and Bryan about the next match saying that last week they almost had it done when those “yahoos” interfered. Tonight they will beat the Dudleyz in their own match!
Tornado Tag Team Tables Match for the No.1 Contendership: The Dudley Boyz VS AJ Styles and Bryan Danielson w/ HBK:
They pick up right where they left off last week right from the outset this is a fight, the brawling may by more fast past and involve more jumps and techinical skill from AJ and Bryan by it is very mcuh and fast pace heated brawl that battles back and forth with many close calls on for 9 minuets. On the nineth AJ is able to hit the Pele Kick on D-Von on the top rope sending him falling down through headfirst with a forward roll through a table to eliminate him. The battle continues with the fan favourites in firm control until Bubba managaes to nail both men with a tables, dispossing of Bryan to the outside and then calling for the rising Devon, throwing AJ up into him to 3D AJ through the table! AJ is eliminated! Bubba now grabs the downed Bryan, throws him into the steps hard and then rolls him back into the ring. He and Devon beat down on him and then Devon suplexes and table onto Bryan. Then doing the same to AJ. Shawn now yells on the outside for his boys to get up as the both now set Bryan up, throwing him to the ropes for the 3D. But Bryan as he drops in it, stops himself with his hand on the tables, and drops forward off of it sending Bubba into Devon with a hurrincanra. He then stands and to loud cheers heaves Bubba up and drops back to back suplex him through the table...but Devon moves it! The Dudleyz now takes back control until AJ is back, flying off the top rope with a diving double dropkick sending them both down with one leg and piece. AJ then grabs Devon and nails him with the Styles Clash as Bryan heads to the top rope. But Bubba is back up and beats AJ down then runs over to join Bryan on the second rope, hammering into him perched on the first. But Bryan hammers back and then nails him with several straight kicks to the chest and then reeling back and nailing him with one final powerful roundhouse to the head sending Bubba tumbling back and down through the table for the victory! Shawn now jumps into the ring hugging his guys as they gets their hands raised, they hold themselves, badly hurt but they have done it, they will get their title shots at Summerslam.
When we come back its to backstage where Vince is marching up and down cursing and yelling in the background as Okerlund tries to interview the Rock and Hogan on their reaction. Vince cuts in saying that the Dudley Boyz are done as their security, they are off that bonus payroll, then storms off. Rock and Hogan react not worried, cutting AJ and Bryan with deep comments and then saying they look forward to beating them at Summerslam.
Miz comes out for a match next but is jumped by Samoa Joe, throwing off a a bloody towel and hammering into Miz with rage in his eyes, hatred in his face, pure hatred as he hammers away. An army of security run out, separating the two, Joe yelling and punching a few of them down then grabbing Miz and throwing him hard into the staging before finally being subdued. Yelling out like a fierce beast being forced back into its cage as he is dragged backstage. Miz looks on as he is helped up with wide eyes, he did not expect to see Joe again and the look in his eyes in defiantly fear.
We now get a shot as we come back of Shawn Michaels, AJ and Bryan exiting the building towards the parking lot carrying their bags. “Shawn wasn’t kiddin earlier. They’re leavin!” JR comments. “Good!” Snaps back Cornette.
We get a recap of Jushin Liger defeating the Pope, Paul London, Brother Ezekiel, Paul Burchill and KENTA. All of whom tried to beat Liger at house shows over the past week to bet he one to get the shot against him at Summerslam and get the chance at the belt and the bounty money.
Jushin “Thunder” Liger VS King Kenta Kobashi:
Liger looks on, he knows that this one will be a challenge. Kobashi is on a hell of a roll as of late and maybe this will be the lucky one who gets the shot. What follows is a pure Japanese wrestling fans wet dream, a technical masterpiece that lasts almost 13 minutes. Chops and palm strikes slapping back and forth ending with very raw chest from both men, even through Ligers now ripped costume. In the closing moments Liger goes for the brainbuster but Kobashi reverses it into his own for 2! Kobashi now sets Liger up for the Burning Sword Chop, but Liger grabs the incoming arm, twisting out with it and reversing it into a Liger Bomb...but Kobashi sends him over with a back body drop. He then grabs Liger as he rises to all fours, pulls him in and then hits the Orange Crush Suplex for 1...2....3!
Kenta Kobashi has beat Jushin Liger! The crowd and the commentators can’t believe it. And as the victories one gets his hand raised he calls down at Liger in Japanese that he will be the one to finally beat him, to end his reign and his legend. Then as the IC title is brought in Kobashi snatches it from the official and holds it up high with one hand and rubbing his fingers together signalling money with the other. He then leaves Liger down, leaving the winner and the man who will get that shot.
We come back seeing footage from moments ago as Kong has found Trish Stratus and threw her up against the wall of the corridor. Through gritted teeth she tells her that the only reason who won’t destroy her now is because she will do it on the big stage in front of the world at Summerslam. She then lets go, letting her down to the floor and leaving as security arrive to break it up too late. Trish grabbing her throat, coughing as she looks on after Kong with wide eyes.
Main Event No DQ Handicap Match Mankind and Abyss VS Stone Cold Steve Austin:
As the match starts off JR tells us that Abyss and Mankind may not want to do McMahons dirty work but they won’t pass up the chance to do what they do best, hurt someone, in the spotlight like this. The bell rings and right the way Austin charges out of the corner and hammers Mankind back, turns and hammers back the incoming Abyss, then closelines him down and goes back for Foley. Mankind swings with a closeline but Austin ducks it, as Mick turns flips him off and then closelines him over the top rope to the outside. Austin hammers Abyss down some more then comes to the outside and throws Mankind into the steps, the ring post, the barrier, then grabbing a steel chair and bashing it over Mankind’s head to send him down. He then heads back in but Abyss is right there and kicks the chair back in his face. From there they have the advantage and it’s virtually academic. At first Abyss just destroys Austin beating him down move after move, then is joined by Mankind and the two wails away on Austin savagely double teaming him into a pulp in and around the ring. They then bring in the chair and beat away on Austin’s bad neck, before Mankind then nails the double arm DDT and covers...for 2! The crowd goes wild as Austin kicks out! “He won’t give up! Austin will not give it up!” JR calls. Abyss and Mankind then beat him down some more brutally as backstage we see a shot of Wade Barrett watching this on a monitor, looking down at his feet so as not to watch it. Abyss then hits the black hole slam! Mankind now coming in and locking in the mandible claw, but as Austin starts to pass out he let’s go. The referee yells at they be the deranged duo have other plans, Mankind heading to the outside and taking a barbed wire base ball bat out from until the ring. We cut back to monitor backstage...and no one is there. The crowd is not reacting, the buzz and yells building and Abyss drags the barely awake Austin to stand, Mankind reeling back to strike...when Wade Barrett hits the ring to a huge cheer! Clubbing Mankind down and then hammering away on Abyss before Big booting him back into the ropes. He then turns back to Mankind and body slams him onto the steel chair. He then turns as Abyss runs in for him and catches him, driving him down with the Wasteland. Behind him Austin is now up, frowning over at Barrett and then turns back to the rising Mankind who turns around right into a boot to the gut followed by a mighty Stone Cold Stunner! Austin now drops over Mankind hooking the leg for 1...2...3!
The crowd goes nuts as Austin’s music hits. Barrett standing with his hands on his hips, nodding over as Austin struggles to stand and gets his hand raised. But this doesn’t last long as Legendary charge out, entering the ring and beating into them both to loud boos. But then from the crowd who goes berserk now comes Goldberg! Sliding into the ring as Rock just turns and is speared in half! Hogan and Cena now grab Rock and retreat as the threesome stand tall in the ring. Goldberg now heading out and into the crowd from where he came, disappearing. Vince now comes out in a fit of rage, slamming his jacket down on the stage and raising a microphone.
“Ok, Ok Barrett you want to be involved? Fine! I said I would decide Goldberg’s matches and I have decided his next one. At Summerslam he will take on YOU Barrett! You’re next!” Vince sneer curls up into a grin, his veins popping as he glares on. In the ring Barrett shakes his head at this, sighing and turning...right into a boot from Austin who gives him a stunner! The Commentators reiterate DTA as Austin stands mouthing off. He then yells up at Cena pointing at the title belt, Austin standing tall but standing alone as Raw fades to black.
Smackdown!
Mankind and Abyss (in very bad moods) destroyed and defeated the Brisco Brothers
Chris Hero defeated Doug Williams in a great technical bout
Dolph Ziggler defeated Eddie Edwards and after the match cut a promo on Sabin saying that he now has to hide behind a woman! But that woman won’t help him at Summerslam!
Wade Barrett came out and called out Steve Austin to no avail as Shane Mcmahon comes out and regrets to inform Barrett that he isn’t here but if he looking to blow off some steam he has the perfect opponent in mind:
Wade Barrett defeated Rob Van Dam with the wasteland
The Natural Born Killers got the win via count out over the Easy Ryders when they ran away
And in the Main Event Bryan Danielson battled King Kobashi for the Pure Heavyweight Championship. This one tour the house down until it went to a 30 minute time limit draw. Exhausted Bryan stood and cradled his title as Kobashi, equally fatigued looked on. But then Bryan was jumped by the Rock and Hogan, beating him down to loud boos until AJ and Shawn hit the ring for the save chasing them off to close the show.
