Ring of Honor Take No Prisoners 2011 Build Up

The shocking events of 2nd Year Anniversary were still being felt, everyone still couldn’t believe that Randy Orton was able to walk away as Champion and in the show down between Taz and Triple H, it was Hunter that got the victory, albeit with a pedigree into the steel chair, it looked as if The Revolution made good on there word of taking over ROH, after losing out due to Undertaker losing at Supercard, many questioned as to whether Revolution could still remain strong but we found that out at the show. Many questions were yet to be answered, including the condition of all four men Orton punted in the skull during the event. A lot was to be answered on the first show after the Anniversary but there was also the new prospect of new talent entering ROH, rumours had circulated around the internet that a big name was coming to help ROH and could help provide financial support and stability, we got a message which was posted on the ROH website that said:
“Finally Ring of Honor will feel the growth of money, courtesy of the Financial God himself
”
There was a lot of comments and speculation over whom it could be and on the first HDNet after the Anniversary it was announced that he would debut so when it came to the show everyone was in anticipation of whom it could be as Tony Chimel was in the ring.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the newest member of Ring of Honor, he is a Wall Street Journalist and a self made man, He has a financial book that has sold millions, he has a fantastic Radio Show, He has a portfolio that has beat the stock market, seven out of the last seven years, Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the saviour of America…”

JBL gets a mild reception from the crowd who are shocked that JBL is here in ROH, JBL walks down the aisle way with his cowboy hat on, wearing only the best suit, custom tailored for him. JBL gets onto the ring apron and wipes his feet, then getting into the ring giving the longhorns pose, getting cheers from the crowd who are now starting to chant for JBL who gives a toothy smile and asks for a microphone, the music dies down and the crowd chanting for JBL more who is in the ring and laughs and claps his hands.
“It’s a dawn on a new era, the John Bradshaw Layfield era. I did not get traded as some people thought, I bought my contract meaning I was my own man once again. I am a money maker, I love the green stuff. When I heard of a promotion in Philadelphia at the time called DGUSA, I thought I could make myself some money, I have watched old tapes of Dragon Gate in Japan and I was impressed, but when I got too DGUSA I was shocked to find what had been going on, I was putting my money in a company that couldn’t even run itself. It tried running in the most famous arena there is, Madison Square Garden. I was the man that paid for that show, I regret it. I have made millions in my lifetime and yet going to that company I nearly lost a whole lot of my investment. I could not take it anymore so I brought my contract out making me a free agent in a world where everyone wishes they could be like me!”
The crowd pop for JBL, and are booing DGUSA now EWF for taking a lot of JBL’s money away. But JBL nods his head in approval and begins to speak
“Don’t worry though, fairytale endings always happen to good people, I went back to my ranch in Texas and was on a hunting trip, all the while still making money, I got a phone call from a guy named James Buchanan. At first I ignored it because I thought it was a prank caller, but then he started emailing me and I searched this guy up and found out he was running Ring of Honor. I rang James up and asked what he wanted from me, James told me that he was looking for someone who can financially support Ring of Honor and help them grow into a better business. I did tell him about the story of DGUSA, but he assured me that ROH was different, he said he was going to send me DVD’s of recent ROH shows and that I could decide for myself as to what I wanted to do”
The crowd chanting for James and ROH as Bradshaw smiles again and tips his hat to the crowd.
“So these DVD’s came through to my secretary in New York who sent them straight to me, I sat down one afternoon and I watched these DVD’s. Seeing matches like Low-Ki Vs Christopher Daniels, Randy Orton Vs Austin Aries and Beer Money Vs Kings of Wrestling. Watching these matches showed me that there is a small company that can be saved and brought to the next level. I rang up James that evening and accepted his offer, James also told me that I would not be bound under a contract and I would not be locked down into anything, he allowed me to be my own man and the financial consultant for Ring of Honor. Three weeks later, here I am, JBL the saviour of ROH and if quiet down everyone because even from here you can hear the chants from all over the world, can you hear what they saying? There chanting, JBL, JBL, J…B…L!”
The crowd are now chanting loud and passionately for JBL who just nods his head in approval.
“I am your saviour, I will take this company to the next level because I am JBL not only a Financial God but also a WRESTLING….GOD!”
JBL drops the microphone and lets the crowd soak up the atmosphere, JBL leaves the ring but goes over to the broadcast table and shakes hands with Striker and Styles, JBL then goes over to the timekeeper and ring bell assistant and shakes hands with them, JBL then shakes hands with Tony Chimel, just showing his support to everyone that works at Ring of Honor, JBL then leaves ringside and goes up the ramp giving the longhorns taunt again and then walking to the back as we go to a commercial break.
Match Card
1.) Triple H Vs. A hand picked opponent of Taz’s Choosing
The shocking outcome out the huge match between Triple H and Taz was something that no-one saw, Triple H came out the victor and Taz who was so close but just missed out. Since the Anniversary Taz has not been seen anywhere, Triple H on the other hand has been walking around with his sledgehammer just threatening anyone that looks at him or has a match with him. Becoming the bully of Ring of Honor. Hunter was in a match against Yoshi Tatsu and in a hard back and forth match, Triple H got the victory with a sledgehammer shot to the head followed by a pedigree. Hunter pleased with his win as he gets to his feet but then the lights go out and came back on and Hunter is just laid out with the number thirteen written on his chest as ROH goes off the air.
The next week Hunter is just outraged just attacking anyone that gets in his way, even as close as nearly attacking his Revolution members, Hunter was not a happy man. But he was in match later in the night, this time facing Matt Morgan and Hunter with the same outcome, a sledgehammer shot to the head and then a pedigree. Hunter with the victory but he gets right to his feet and grabs the sledgehammer waiting for the lights to go out and calling on Taz to get his ass to the ring but nothing happens, Hunter begins to smile as he leaves the ring and the lights go out, they come back on and Hunter has been laid out again but this time Triple H has got the ace of spades playing card placed on his chest, otherwise known as the death card! As ROH goes off the air
The next week ROH starts with Hunter just in the ring pacing back and forth with his sledgehammer in hand just shouting for Taz to get his ass down to this ring so he can kick the living shit out of him. Taz doesn’t come out as Hunter on the search for blood just leaves the ring and runs backstage just smashing doors and windows with his sledgehammer trying to find Taz. Hunter thinks he sees Taz and launches the sledgehammer hitting him in the face and knocking him down, when Hunter goes over he sees it was a writer for ROH. Hunter just ignores him and carries out trying to find Taz when from behind Taz with tazzmission just choking Hunter out, he slowly drops the sledgehammer and falls down, Taz just wrenching on the hold tighter and tighter as Hunter seemingly looks knocked out. Taz then looks down as the prone body of Hunter and mouths that this isn’t over for a long, long time, Taz just leaves Hunter and walks away taking the sledgehammer with him as we go to a commercial break
The final week before the PPV and tensions are running so high between Triple H and Hunter that extra security has to be drafted in to contain this situation, it was announced that Hunter and Taz were to have a face off in the ring before the PPV.
Both men were in the ring, Taz holding Triple H’s sledgehammer and it didn’t take long until all hell broke loose, both men just attacking each other and not letting up, security comes in between them to break them up, the crowd booing but Taz gets free and goes right after Hunter again, security are falling down trying there best to contain both men but neither man wants to let go, Triple H with hard violent shots to the eyes of Taz trying to blind him but Taz just biting away at Triple H. it has turned into a real street fight as security push Taz away but Taz comes running at Hunter right into a sledgehammer shot just knocking him down. Hunter looks down at Taz and laughs as he slowly raises his sledgehammer high. Triple H looking tall before the PPV.

“Whoa, wait just a minute there Hunter, you think that you two are going to fight again at this weekends Take No Prisoners, I’m sorry that is not going to happen, you see Taz came to me with a little stipulation known as pick your poison so over the next two PPV’s you two will pick each other’s opponents and well seeing as your in a fighting mood, Taz will get to pick your opponent for Take No Prisoners so Hunter good luck or as Taz would say, Beat me if you can, Survive if I let you”
Hunter looks menacingly at James and then looks down at Taz who it slowly moving, Hunter drops the sledgehammer and quickly takes Taz to his feet and drives him down with a pedigree. Hunter gets down to the face of Taz and shouts at him that he will never be as good as him, Hunter gets to his feet to huge boos from the crowd holding his sledgehammer high getting the last laugh before the PPV.
2.) Beer Money Vs. Kings of Wrestling – Parking Lot Brawl
The events of 2nd Year Anniversary for Beer Money is something they would want to forget, they had the Elimination Tag match one but Claudio Castagnoli from Kings of Wrestling cost them the match allowing them to pick up the victory. Many people have said that Beer Money have been screwed time and time again, but the one thing that everyone knows is that Beer Money will always come back and fight harder and stronger. During the course of the next few weeks on HDNet Beer Money were in a variety of matches, One week they faced London and Kendrick in a tag team match which they won after a DWI onto Paul London, but after the match Beer Money were attacked and left lying by Kings of Wrestling. The following week James Storm faced Kofi Kingston and lost after Hero got involved and hit Storm with the loaded elbow pad followed by the trouble in paradise from Kingston. The week after that Robert Roode was in a match with Edge which Castagnoli come down towards ringside and distracted Roode long enough for Edge to get the win with the spear. Every time Beer Money was close to a win, Kings of Wrestling always seemed to interfere and cost them the match or get themselves the last laugh.
The final week before the PPV, it was the Kings of Wrestling in a tag team match against Hawkins and Ryder, even before the match could start Beer Money came running down into the ring with steel chairs and started beating the holy hell out of Hero and Castagnoli, just laying in the chair shots, Roode and Storm almost looked possessed as they slammed the chairs together like a high five and then nodded there heads. They set up the chairs opposite each other and picked there target, picking Hero taking him to the centre of the ring and lifting him and driving him down through both steel chair with a DWI. Castagnoli at ringside just shocked at what happened but shouting that he will get revenge. Roode just looked right at Castagnoli and flipped him off then grabs a microphone
“Lets cut the bullshit aright, you cost us four matches now, we beat you at Survival of The Fittest in October but you couldn’t let that slide, you had to get your revenge and you did, you should be proud, but you forgot one thing, you left Beer Money alive. So Kings of Wrestling you want to have a good old fashioned fight fair enough, but may I remind you that you’re going up against the Kings Of Fights! So how about this, at Take No Prisoners, you bring your sorry asses to the parking lot and we will have ourselves a Parking Lot Brawl and we shall see who is the true Kings of Wrestling, because boys….it pays to be ROODE!
Roode just looks right into the eyes of Castagnoli and throws the microphone to Storm who had grabbed a beer from the cooler he brought down to the ring and is slowly drinking it whilst laughing
“You see KOW, Beer Money is not a throw away tag team, we will fight and claw our way back to those Tag Team Championships. No-one is going to stop us so Castagnoli and Hero welcome to our domain where we like to fight, boys let me and the crowd tell you what has just run out”
Storm points to the crowd and counts to three as Storm shouts into the microphone and the crowd shout as well
“SORRY ABOUT YOUR DAMN LUCK!”
Storm throws the microphone at Castagnoli as Roode and Storm just look around, the crowd chanting heavily for Beer Money as Roode and Storm bend over, the crowd getting ready as Storm jumps up shouting BEER! And then Roode jumps up shouting MONEY!. Kings of Wrestling on the outside wondering what they can do as Beer Money look more focused then they have ever been before and now that KOW is facing them in a Parking Low Brawl, the future of KOW maybe in jeopardy.
3.) ROH TV Championship – Yoshi Tatsu (C) Vs. Chavo Guerrero – Ladder Match
After what happened with Chavo Guerrero and Yoshi Tatsu at 2nd Year Anniversary, many people are wondering what is next for the FIP Champion. Tatsu was becoming a major player in Ring of Honor, speculation had being growing as to whether it could be Tatsu’s time to get a Title Shot against Randy Orton, however ROH management denied these rumours stating that Yoshi Tatsu himself had said he is not mentally prepared to face Randy Orton. Tatsu did show on HDNet that he could move up into the main event after he had an excellent match with Prince Devitt lasting almost half an hour and Tatsu just getting the win. After the match thought Chavo Guerrero came running down into the ring and started beating down Tatsu just viciously trying to get payback for what happened at the Anniversary show. Guerrero gave the exclamation to the statement with a gory bomb onto the championship belt. Guerrero picking up the belt and taking it with him as he leaves the ring holding Yoshi’s title belt as we cut to commercials.
Ring of Honor management and officials were frantically trying to get Guerrero to give the belt back but Guerrero kept refusing instead he took the FIP World Championship belt and threw it in the trash saying that if he can’t have it, no-one can. ROH management were so angry at Guerrero that they got security and threw him out of the arena and had suspended him indefinitely with no pay. Once the news got to Tatsu he was feeling pretty bad, the title that he won in January and has held with so much pride now thrown into the bin. Many were asking why Tatsu didn’t just pick the belt back up, but much like Japanese wrestling, disrespecting a title like that is such a horrible thing to do, it’s better to just leave it behind and move on just respecting what was the legacy of the championship. The last image we see is Tatsu just looking down at the trashcan and bowing down to it, giving his last respects to the FIP Championship and slowly walking away bowing his head in sadness.
The next week on HDNet, it was heard that James had an important announcement regarding this whole situation and during the show he came out to address the situation coming down to the ring holding a black drawstring like bag, getting into the ring and looking at the bag and smiling
“As you all know Chavo Guerrero, done one of the most heinous things in wrestling history, throwing a championship belt into the trash. For that action he has been suspended without pay indefinitely. But as for Yoshi Tatsu, he said that he didn’t want to disrespect the title anymore by picking it out of the trash and so he left it alone and wanted to protect is legacy and everything behind it, so Yoshi Tatsu I would like you to come out here because I have a present for you”

Tatsu comes out still looking quite sad over what Guerrero did, the crowd cheering on Tatsu and applauding him just showing him the respect that everyone has given him since he has joined ROH, Tatsu gets into the ring and bows at James but he nods his head in disapproval and tells him that he doesn’t need to bow at him, he shakes hands with James as both men smile, James begins to speak
“Tatsu I have all the respect in the world for you, your one of the few wrestlers that has respect for everything thing in this business, after what happened last week I felt so bad for not only you but for everyone who has ever held that championship. I have taken your word and it will remain true, the FIP Championship is officially retired and the legacy will remain that Yoshi Tatsu was the last champion of that title”
The crowd chanting for Tatsu and he bows to the crowd and thanks them
“But Yoshi, what’s not fair is that you don’t have a championship belt anymore, you are still a champion Yoshi. So that’s why after some discussion over what title we could bring to Ring of Honor we choose on this”
James takes the black bag and opens it up and pulls out a brand new championship belt, it’s very blue but Yoshi begins to smile and is really excited
“Ladies and Gentlemen introducing the NEW Ring of Honor Television Championship Title Belt! And Yoshi Tatsu, I am here right now to crown you as first ever ROH TV Champion so Yoshi please accept this belt with honor and dignity and uphold your belief of professional wrestling”
James hands the championship to Yoshi who graciously takes the belt and raises it up high getting a great reaction from the crowd, Tatsu starts to well up a little as he goes to hug James, Tatsu just looks at the title and smiles but from behind Chavo Guerrero attacks Tatsu, security are rushing into the ring but Guerrero bolts as he takes the TV Title with him, everyone chasing after him as Guerrero is running towards a bin but we see Big Show, Matt Hardy and Sheamus all stand around the bin as Guerrero sees them. Those three men may not like each other but they respect the FIP Title that each of those men once held. Guerrero slowly begins to step away but all three men begin chasing after Guerrero who hightails it back into the ring where he gets taken down with a roundhouse kick and then a frog splash from Tatsu who takes back his championship belt. Yoshi just looks down at Guerrero and just walks past him as Tatsu goes over to James and whispers something in his ear. James smiles as he takes the microphone
“Ladies and Gentlemen even though Chavo Guerrero is suspended, Yoshi has asked if his suspension can be lifted so he can have a match with him at Take No Prisoners and I say that yes, it will happen”
The crowd cheering in approval and then chanting for Tatsu and the TV Title
“But it won’t just be any type of match, Yoshi has asked me that he would like to defend his newly acquired TV Title against Chavo Guerrero, in a Ladder Match!”
The crowd are going crazy as they start cheering for Ladder, Tatsu just shaking his fist in the air as he raises his TV title high and then looks down at Guerrero. A sign of things to come? Yoshi Tatsu looks to get revenge on Chavo Guerrero and this time Yoshi has the momentum on his side.
4.) ROH World Tag Team Championships – Worlds Greatest Tag Team (C) Vs. Londrick
World’s Greatest Tag Team did what they said they would do and that’s win the World Tag Team Championships in a great match at 2nd Year Anniversary, London and Kendrick whom where just getting into there title reign felt almost dejected and were annoyed at themselves that they let the pressure get to them and because of that they lost there titles. But before either team could move on and forge a new path, because of the praise there match got, it was announced there was to be a return match at Take No Prisoners in which London and Kendrick would get a chance to regain there titles as they go up against the current Tag Team Champions in World’s Greatest Tag Team.
5.) ROH Pure Championship – Benoit (C) Vs. ? Vs. Lesnar Vs. Edge – Gauntlet Match
6.) ROH World Heavyweight Championship – Randy Orton (C) Vs. Austin Aries W/ Edge
Coming of the heels of the biggest event in ROH History, the fans were talking wildly among themselves and with each other of what was to come out of the event. The most talked about point though was Randy Orton retaining his World Heavyweight Championship, Orton now Champion for a little over thirteen months and looking strong. The influx of new talent was discussed as well, Edge making his debut at Night Three facing off against Chris Benoit for the Pure Championship, coming up short but came very close to winning the championship. A lot of questions were yet to be answered but it wasn’t long until the first HDNet show after the three night epic, and boy were sparks going to fly.
HDNet opens up with the crowd ready for a night of great action as the new ring announce Tony Chimel announces the arrival of one of the biggest stars ever to work in Ring of Honor

Much like the reaction he got at the Anniversary show, the crowd go ballistic for Edge who comes through the curtain in his trench coat just bouncing up and down and walking down the aisle way with a purpose, raising his arms and giving the corona symbol, Edge then runs and slides into the ring smiling towards camera, the crowd just cheering madly for Edge who gets on the turnbuckle and just soaks up everyone’s admiration for this man. Edge then grabs a microphone as his music dies down, the crowd still going crazy as Edge just smiles and flips the microphone in his hand getting a great pop from the crowd.
“This feels good, this feel really good. What can you say except ROH is about to become Rated-R!, Everyone thought that me being traded to this company was going to be a bad thing, people thought that Edge wouldn’t fit in this company, let me say this. Watch Night Three of the Anniversary show and then tell me that I don’t fit, because I don’t care if I am wrestling in front of fifty people or fifty thousand, because I am doing what I love and that is coming out every single night and giving you my best. The thing is though, I feel a little naked here, I have mu trench coat and I have my T-shirt, but what I don’t have is a championship belt, more detail is a World Championship Belt. I came to ROH to win championships, I came become a legend and Randy Orton right now you are that legend, you have been champion for just over a year, I think it’s time I end that. Orton we have been friends but you have something that I want and you know I will take it, so Orton your on notice because as my entrance says, On this Day I See Clearly, Everything Has Come To Life, and Randy, My life has been about world championships, and I can see very, very clearly!”
Edge drops the microphone and smirks raising his arms and giving the corona sign, the crowd cheering for Edge as he looks to leave the ring
(Play Revolution)
Out comes the Revolution, being led by the Reigning Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, all four men are in smart suits with sunglasses on, Triple H walking a little slower after his match with Taz, RVD and Hardy walking alongside Hunter as Orton is out in front looking right at Edge who is standing in the ring, Revolution slowly get into the ring, the boos have not stopped since the music started. Orton gets into the ring and takes off his glasses and looks right at Edge who is pointing towards the championship. Orton smirks as he grabs the microphone off Edge
“Another challenger, another victim to the Viper, Edge I admire your courage I really do, but your over your head boy, I have been Ring of Honor Champion for over one full year, At 2nd Year Anniversary only two percent of people thought I would walk away as champion and guess what I did, I don’t make empty promises I just end careers, McGuinness, Low-Ki, Daniels and Tyler Black are all injured from a punt kick to the skull. No-one is good enough to face me, Edge you need to know what you’re getting into, we know the problems with your neck; don’t let it be your downfall!”
Edge just stands there looking quite bemused at what Orton had said, being flanked by his cronies. Edge just takes the microphone away from Orton and looks towards the crowd whom are cheering for Edge
“Are you done there skipper, feeling all confident with your henchmen behind you, lets see we have hoo, haa and hee and you must be Bo Bo the clown because every time you get in a ring its hilarious to see had bad you wrestle. I’ve been watching your matches when I was a part of the WWF, every time you were close to losing, your henchmen would sabotage the match to make sure you won, I thought this was Ring of Honor, well where is the Honor in that Orton. You have been champion for over a year, but I can only count on one hand championship defences that had you win cleanly.”
The crowd giving an “Ohhh” as Orton just stands there moving his mouth and just sniggering as he has been given a microphone by Matt Hardy, Orton turns to the crowd who are flipping him off and booing him, Orton then slowly turns and looks at Edge about to speak
(Play Aries)
Austin Aries comes out to a great reaction from the crowd, Aries wearing an ROH shirt with the faces of McGuinness, Daniels and Low-Ki paying his respect as all three men are out with injury from the hands of Randy Orton. Aries comes right down to the ring and gets in and looks at Edge, extending the hand as both men shake hands, Edge giving the microphone to Aries, his music dies down and everyone waiting to see what Aries is about to say, Aries begins by pointing at his shirt he is wearing.
“You did this you sick son of a bitch, three of my closest friends are in a hospital bed, two of them with severe whiplash and a fractured jaw, I shouldn’t been standing here and saying what I am going to do to you, Instead I should be sending you into a back of an ambulance and making sure that your career here in Ring of Honor is over forever!”
Aries drops the mic and goes nose to nose with Orton who starts pushing Aries back, both men not battling down, Aries’ mouth is quivering the anger inside of him is boiling over, Orton pushes Aries away right into Edge who catches Aries. Both men look at each other and then look at Orton; by this time the other three members of The Revolution have got in front of Orton to protect him.
Orton just smirks at both men whilst behind members of the Revolution, Orton slowly drops the microphone down and pushes Hardy and RVD to the side, taking a step forward and looking eye to eye with Aries but Aries is not having any of it as he just goes right after Orton taking him down and beating the crap out of him, Revolution start attacking Aries in a three on one assault but Edge comes to help Aries starting to take out his long time rival Matt Hardy, with stiff punches and then an Edgecution, Edge gets to his feet and waits for Hunter to turn around and runs across the ring and takes him down with a spear. Aries has got to his feet and is beside Edge as RVD and Lashley see this, Orton is sitting in the corner as the other four men just go right after each other, Edge taking it to Lashley and clotheslining him over the top rope to the outside. Aries is beating down on RVD kicking him in the gut and taking him down with a brainbuster. Aries gets to his feet and smiles turning around and getting drilled with an RKO from Orton, Edge sees this and runs at Orton going for the spear but Orton sidesteps, Edge goes into the turnbuckle and stumbles back into an RKO from Orton, who slowly slithers to the corner, he has Aries and Edge in his sight but which man will get the punt kick. The crowd booing as Orton slowly lifts his head up and just gives such an evil glare to the crowd. Orton takes a deep breath and runs and punt kicks of all people RVD!!
The crowd go kind of quiet as Orton gets on his knees and looks at RVD, Orton slowly takes the microphone from the mat
“Nothing but trouble, nothing but a loser, nothing but a cheap two dollar CUNT!, RVD just got taken out by R…K…O!”
With that Orton slowly gets to his feet and holds his World Championship in his hands, he slowly drops the belt to the mat and looks to walk away but he turns around and runs across the ring and punt kicks RVD in the skull a second time and then a third time. Orton closes his eyes and smiles, picking up the World Championship and placing It across his shoulder. Orton leaves the ring with the remaining members of The Revolution having got the upper hand once again, Edge and Aries are left in the ring motionless as we go to a commercial break.
Later in the night Edge was to have his first match on HDNet and his opponent was to be one of the best in ROH and that being Doug Williams, Edge being managed to the ring by Austin Aries, both men still feeling the effects of the RKO earlier in the night. In a back and forth respectful match between the two which had lots of holds and counter holds, and near falls but Edge was able to get the win with a spear with authority. After the match Edge helped Williams to his feet and shook his hand in a sign of respect and raised his arms high, the crowd applauding in respect but it was short lived as Revolution rushed the ring and starting taking out Williams and Edge. Aries gets into the ring but gets taken down as the four on three assault is too much for them. Revolution having there way once again as the crowd are just booing heavily and stuff is being through into the ring, cups and wrappers also bits of ice anything that can be thrown is being thrown. Revolution have the upper hand as Orton is there just smiling in the middle of the ring holding his World Heavyweight Championship high.

Out comes Paul Heyman and next to him is one of the hottest trades ever in history as Brock Lesnar is in ROH again, but not as challenger from a different promotion, Lesnar has just signed a new multi-year contract to ROH, Orton sees this and is just gulping like crazy, Revolution members flank Orton as Lesnar makes his way down the aisle way, the crowd going crazy as Lesnar gets right into the ring. Revolution start attacking Lesnar but the sheer power of him is immense as he pushes them away. Hardy comes at Lesnar and gets a judo throw over the top rope to the outside taking him out. Lesnar turns around and gets kicked in the gut as Hunter goes for the pedigree but Lesnar counters with a back body drop as Hunter gets to his feet and swings at Lesnar who ducks and takes Hunter to his shoulder and down with the F-5! Lashley attacks Lesnar from behind as Lesnar smiles towards camera and turns around going eye to eye with Lashley. The crowd loving this, both men just staring off with each other, Lashley throwing the first punches stumbling Lesnar into the ropes but Lesnar comes back with hard right hands stumbling Lashley who goes for the spear but Lesnar kicks Lashley in the gut and lifts him up onto his shoulders, the crowd going mental for Lesnar as he nods his head in approval and takes Lashley down with an F-5! Lesnar turns around right into an RKO from Orton as the boos reign down on him but Orton loves it, he just picks up his World Heavyweight Championship and smiles at the crowd, he goes to leave the ring but gets taken down with a spear from Edge who is holding his hair and just has this savage look on his face. Edge slowly picks up the World Heavyweight Championship and raises it high, looking at the belt and then looking at the crowd whom are cheering for Edge as we fade to black.
The following week on HDNet the show opens up with an announcement from the returning owner James
“Ladies and Gentlemen as you can see last week Paul Heyman has started to manage Brock Lesnar to the ring, because of this he has resigned from his post as General Manager but don’t worry because I have returned and I will make sure that ROH will run as great as it always does, also tonight you will see a six man tag team match as Aries, Edge and Lesnar team up to face The Revolution, thank you for watching ROH On HDNet and I hope you enjoy the show”
The first match though is Chris Benoit facing off against Sheamus in a great back and forth match but Benoit gets the victory with the crossface making Sheamus tap out. Benoit after the match asks for a microphone as he wants to air some views over what has been happening.
“I thought you people wouldn’t forget what I said at the 2nd Year Anniversary, I maybe an NWA employee but I hold this ROH Pure Championship which makes me a part of this company. If you remember the stipulation I put on my matches at 2nd Year Anniversary then you know that in June I will be getting a World Championship match against whomever is champion at the time, So Randy Orton, Austin Aries, Edge or Brock Lesnar or whomever it is that is champion come June, be prepared because The Crippler is coming to add more gold to not only Chris Benoit but also the NWA!”
Benoit drops the microphone and he leaves the ring the Pure Championship over his shoulder as he walks to the back and the show goes to a commercial break.
Later in the night the huge six man tag team match takes place, it’s not long before all control is lost and everyone is trying to get the advantage over someone else. Lesnar is just dominating anyone that comes near him taking Hardy down with a huge pumphandle suplex, Hunter goes after Lesnar but gets drilled down to the mat with a big time powerslam. Edge waiting for Orton goes for the spear but Orton moves out of the way as Edge spears Aries. The crowd in shock as Edge looks at the fallen Aries turning around as Orton goes for the RKO but Edge pushes Orton away right into Lesnar who picks Orton up and drives him down into the mat with an F-5! The crowd are cheering for Lesnar when out of nowhere he gets taken down with a spear from Edge who slowly gets back to his feet and raises his arms in the air, but Edge gets taken down with a german suplex from Chris Benoit, a second and a third. Benoit looks towards the crowd and gives the gut throat gesture climbing to the top turnbuckle and jumping off with the diving headbutt onto Edge. This time it was Chris Benoit standing tall at the end of HDNet, enforcing his statement from earlier on in the evening as the cameras fade to black.
With days to go until Take No Prisoners, the focus of people had become more intense, the World Championship match signed earlier in the day on the ROH website as Austin Aries would go one on one against Randy Orton for the World Championship at the PPV, so the pressure was now on Aries. Only The Briscoe’s and Doug Williams were left as the true hardcore ROH originals, the rest having been taken out by Orton at the 2nd Year Anniversary show. This along with the rise of new talent was really starting to get to Aries as Edge walked into the locker room. Aries looks like he was going to snap but Edge calms him down and explained that what happened last week was an accident. Both men seem to agree on one thing and that is taking Orton and The Revolution down. So Edge said that he would manage Austin Aries at Take No Prisoners so that should anything happen Edge will be there to help Aries. He may not be an ROH original but Edge respects the people that made this company what it is.
Meanwhile in the GM office, James is sitting away browsing the internet on his computer working out where next to take ROH, on its rise in wrestling, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman come into his office and Heyman starts to speak to him.
“Excuse me James, I have an idea that could put a lot of money in ROH’s back pocket!”
“Well please go on then Paul, I’ve always admired your ability to make great ideas so I can’t wait to hear this one.”
“Okay well if you want to start things off right then look at this man, unrelenting, unrestrained, just raw animalistic power, if you put this man in the main event not only do we guarantee victory but you will get the highest buy rate in ROH history, what do you think about that?”
“As good as an idea that is, Austin Aries is already confirmed for the World Championship match and as for June, Benoit is involved in the World Title match so until July there is no space available, I do apologise but I will take your idea under advisement”
“That’s fair enough James but I hope Chris Benoit doesn’t see us between now and Take No Prisoners otherwise he may not even make it out of ROH in one piece ever again, Brock wants his revenge on Benoit from 2nd Year Anniversary and I know this time Brock can beat him!”
“Paul, do you know what, that’s a great idea, at Take No Prisoners it will be the return match from 2nd Year Anniversary as Brock Lesnar will face Chris Benoit for the Pure Championship.”
“Thank you so much James you won’t-“
“Who said I was finished Heyman? As I was saying, It will be Brock Lesnar going against Chris Benoit going against Edge, going against a mystery opponent for the Pure Championship in a four way gauntlet match”
“Why would you do that, that gives Brock less chance of winning that’s not fair!”
“Or is it, you see if Lesnar beats not one but THREE challengers, wouldn’t that stake his claim even more as a number one contender to the World Championship?”
“I see now James, I like your idea, and by the end of Take No Prisoners you will have a new Pure Champion I can assure that!”
James smiles at Heyman who seems pleased at what is going to happen just looking at Lesnar at smiling, both men leave the office of James’ as James gets back to browsing the internet.
Later in the night Brock Lesnar was in a match against Prince Devitt, who never really stood a chance as Lesnar just battered and destroyed Devitt just wanting to show everyone that he will be the next World Heavyweight Champion. After the match was over, Edge slowly gets into the ring and waits for Lesnar to turn around going for the spear but Lesnar sees this and picks Edge up taking him down with the F-5! Lesnar gets to his feet and motions for the belt, turning around and sees Benoit on the entrance way just holding the belt high, Lesnar pointing at the belt and then motioning for it again, Benoit just laughing at Lesnar as we go to a commercial break.
The final segment of the night was the contract signing between Austin Aries and Randy Orton to make the match official. Both men were in the ring and sitting down, the contract was on the table and both men signed the contract, they were both asked if they had any final words as Aries takes the microphone.
“Both times I have had a title match I was this close to winning, but I always made that one mistake, no-more! I have watched match after match, studied hour after hour and observed interview after interview to try and find any weakness I can exploit, Orton I am not only physically ready, I am mentally ready. Take No Prisoners, there won’t be any prisoners after I am done, I will save ROH from the Revolution and put you down for good!”
Orton just stares right at Aries and slowly takes the microphone off of him, the crowd booing Orton but he just ignores it all, like it is nothing
“Aries you need to realise something, I haven’t been champions for over a year for nothing, I simply cannot be beat. I take everyone’s best attributes and I kill them one by one, Aries you good I cannot deny that, but you’re not Randy Orton good, the last two people to try and stand before me have been sent to a hospital bed, most likely never to return. You dear friend Daniels was the result of three hard nights of wrestling and I just give him his reward. As for Tyler Black. He just at the wrong place at the wrong time. Aries there is only one person left that I need to the out and this company will be mine, that you! Take one good look at this place Aries because it will be your last”
With that Orton slams the microphone down and stands up, Aries stands up as well, both men just looking eye to eye with each other as Orton raises the World Heavyweight Championship high, Aries not backing down just glances at the championship then looks back at Orton who out of nowhere takes Aries down through the table with an RKO, the crowd booing Orton as he just tilts his head and soaks up the crowd. Orton then takes the microphone and kneels down looking at Aries
“You say you studied me! You just made another mistake, the final mistake comes in a few days, Austin Aries Rest in Peace, courtesy of Randy Orton, Legend Killer”
Orton drops the microphone as he slowly gets to his feet and raises the championship high to huge boos from the crowd, Orton slowly leaves the ring and just turns around and smirks walking back up the aisle way, Edge and EMT’s come rushing down to check on Aries as Orton has got the last laugh heading into the PPV
