Full Impact Pro World Championship Yoshi Tatsu (C) Vs Jack Swagger
After the shocking events of Death Before Dishonor where Sheamus cost Big Show the FIP Championship and Yoshi Tatsu won and became the new champ in one of the biggest upsets of wrestling history. Many people have been asking as to whether Yoshi Tatsu is nothing more than a fluke champion but these were to be addressed over the next few weeks before the Big Bang PPV. Over the next few weeks Tatsu was against some very good opposition from Chavo Guerrero to Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tatsu was able to get the victory in those matches but after each match Tatsu was attacked by of all people Jack Swagger. Since taking some time off to heal up a few nagging injuries Swagger came back and wanted to prove to everyone that he wants to become a champion again. Swagger would ask for some promo time to tell everyone as to his plans since his return. “Ladies and Gentlemen welcome back your All American American Jack Swagger, I am the man that will carry this company on my back, even when I was away everyone was wanting to talk to me and ask me for my opinions. Swagger is money and why did I take time out, well I had some injuries to heal up but also I wanted to revaluate myself. After losing at Rising Above I needed to chance my focus and Yoshi Tatsu you’re in my crosshairs. I want my championship back and then after that Randy Orton I am coming for you! Since March 2010 you have been champion but when I face you, your championship reign will be over! Swagger looks to leave the ring but then he takes Tatsu and lifts him up and down with the gutwrench powerbomb, giving an exclamation to his statement. Swagger leaves the ring cockily smiling going to the back. It was announced a week later on the ROH Website that at the Big Bang Jack Swagger would get his chance to be a champion as he faces Yoshi Tatsu for the Full Impact Pro World Champion.
Ring of Honor Pure Championship Chris Benoit (C) Vs Fit Finlay
Since Benoit won the Pure Championship at Worlds Collide II, Benoit has been in both the NWA and ROH defending his championship and cross promoting both brands. McGuinness has not been seen since he lost against Benoit at DBD tapping out too the crossface. Benoit however has been on ROH racking up wins but looks complacent after them. Until Benoit announces that he will explain his thoughts as Joey Styles conducts a sit down interview with Chris Benoit. “Well Chris the first question I will ask you is what is it like being contracted to NWA but being the ROH Pure Champion?” “What does it mean; it means I am the best wrestler alive today. It may not be the World Championship but this is a stepping stone for Chris Benoit. McGuinness I have beaten him twice, time for a new challenger and the person I have hand picked to face me is someone I have respected all of my life!” “Well Chris will you be able to tell us whom that person is?” “Watch ROH next week because I will go out there and show you who that person I will face is. But remember this, I will remain champion for a long time and that is that!” The following week on HDNet the returning Fit Finlay was facing Bobby Lashley in a back and forth match with Finlay getting the victory, after the match Benoit’s theme played and he comes walking down to the ring championship around his waist getting into the ring and getting a microphone “Do you remember what happened at 1st Year Anniversary for ROH last year, well I do. In the pure championship match three men put up something on the line, Anderson his career, McGuinness his title and Finlay his chance to face someone for the championship. Well that ruling was for Nigel McGuinness as champion. Seeing as he is no longer champion and a rematch I have wanted for many years. At The Big Bang Chris Benoit will defend his ROH Pure Championship against the legend that is Fit Finlay. The crowd are going crazy as Finlay looks at Benoit and both men shake hands in the centre of the ring; Benoit raises his championship high as Finlay looks focused and ready to go. Benoit smiles knowing he finally gets a chance at the rematch he has wanted for many years and it would go down at The Big Bang!
Ring of Honor Tag Team Championships London and Kendrick (C) Vs The Briscoe’s
The shocking turn of events at DBD which led to the end of the Austin Aries and Tyler Black as a tag team but also losing there championships to Paul London and Brian Kendrick. The shock of this win caused many to believe that London and Kendrick won the belts because of taking the opportunity of the attack of Austin Aries on Tyler Black, however many people have agreed that if they had the chance they would do the same thing. One team that believed that Kendrick and London need to prove themselves are the ROH Originals The Briscoe Brothers. They are the backbone of the tag division and are the measuring stick for all tag teams in ROH. Kendrick and London want to prove they are worthy of being champions so they offered The Briscoe’s a shot at the Tag Team Championships and this match was to happen at The Big Bang PPV!
Big Show Vs Sheamus
Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship Lumberjack Match: The Entire Ring of Honor Roster! Randy Orton (C) Vs Tyler Black
The two biggest occurrences happened at DBD for The Revolution. Sheamus was exiled from the Revolution but Orton was able to retain his World Championship against Christopher Daniels with help from of all people Tyler Black. But Black got the last laugh superkicking Orton down to the mat and raising the championship to end the show. After the PPV in a special video posted on the ROH website we see Orton being helped out of the ring by The Revolution and taken to the back as we Tyler Black just staring down at the fallen Christopher Daniels. The blood dripping down Black’s face. On the first show after the PPV we see Randy Orton in the ring alone with the spotlight on him with a microphone in hand sitting down on a chair. “Sheamus you were a good person in our group but you lost so your out. I wish I could reverse the decision but we all signed contracts based on this match so Sheamus your out. As for Christopher Daniels I beat him twice and showed him why I am the best in this business, I am still your World Heavyweight Champion. Tyler Black, what in your mind possessed you to touch wrestling royalty. I was the one that made you look good on these HDNet shows and I am the one that can break you. Tyler Black you want to attack the viper well I-“ From behind Tyler Black with a superkick to the back of Orton’s head. Black with brusing and cuts all over his body from the violent attack of Austin Aries. Revolution members come running down to the ring but Tyler Black with the steel chair is fending them all off. When Hunter from beind takes down Black and starts beating him down. The beat down turns into a four on one attack. No-one from the ROH locker room is coming out because of what Black has been doing to everyone. All of a sudden Sheamus comes running down into the ring with a steel pipe in hand and starts taking out members of The Revolution. Orton slowly rises to his feet and locks eyes with Sheamus who looks at Orton and then takes him down with the brogue kick. Big Show gets into the ring and goes right after Sheamus as both men are attacking each other. Both Orton and Black are down and out in the ring as we go to commercials Back from commercials we see officals and medics in the ring tending to both men as neither man has moved since the commercial break (Play Heyman) Heyman comes down the ramp and into the ring grabbing a microphone “Look I don’t care what you two do to each other but we are going to do it in this ring so look Tyler and Orton settle it in the ring NOW!” Orton and Black are in shock as the medics and officals start to leave the ring leaving one referee as he calls for the bell. Orton and Black just have a massive brawl going all over the place the referee letting it all slides. Black looks to get the win with his superkick but Orton ducks and takes Black down with the RKO. Orton looks to cover him but out of nowhere Austin Aries attacks Orton taking him down. Aries turns his attention to Black and like a shark tatsing blood goes right after him and just with vioent punches right into the eyes and nose of Black trying to disfigure him. The match is being thrown out as from behind Orton starts attacking Aries going for an RKO but Aries counters going for a brainbuster but Orton counters that into an inverted backbreaker. Members of the ROH Roster come flying out and start attacking Orton but The Revolution come out and a mass brawl starts out everyone wanting a piece of everyone else as we run out of time and the cameras fade to black.
The following weeks on HDNet see The Revolution and ROH Originals fighting back and forth with Tyler Black and Randy Orton being the focal point of the entire attacks. No single man is backing down but in every match there is all hell breaks loose as no-one can get a win or a loss. The control has been lost as it now resembles a prison riot. Big Show and Sheamus gets signed for the Big Bang PPV to sort out there problems but this biggest pain in the ass for ROH management is Tyler Black whom is insistant that he is being screwed out of a championship goes as far as to physically attack ROH management to try and get his point across. It goes so far as to him choking out Paul Heyman demanding a championship match. It actually goes into Black favour as he is given what he wants and gets a World Championship match aginst Orton at The Big Bang but Heyman gets the last laugh as he announces that the match will be contested under lumberjack match rules with everyone on the ROH roster being the lumberjacks. The matches have all been announced for The Big Bang, who will walk out the winner of the road to the 2nd Year Anniversary.

The Revolution could be experiencing there darkest moment, Randy Orton defending his Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship against the dangerous and out of control Tyler Black. Management was pressured into Black getting a title match tonight but after all the brawls we have had it was only right to make this match a Lumberjack Match in which every member of the ROH roster will be involved, that includes, managers, referees, champions and the entire ROH roster in it’s current state. Orton has been champion now for eleven months but will tonight be the final night that Randy Orton is champion.” “We will find out tonight Striker, both men have got a mean streak in them and even though it’s a lumberjack match neither man is going to be held back, this will be a fight for the ages, one of them at the end of tonight will be Champion, but we shall see who has the ability to back up there words but also in toe Big Show and Sheamus who have an extreme hatred for each other, after the events of Death Before Dishonor with Big Show losing his FIP Championship to Yoshi Tatsu, then Show costing Sheamus his place in Revolution, these two men have not been able to keep there hands off each other so tonight there going to settle it one on one in the ring, But lets send up to ringside and Bobby Cruise for the first match of the evening” “Ladies and Gentlemen the opening contest is Round Two of the Road To The Second Year Anniversary Tag Team Championship Tournament scheduled for one fall with a fifteen minute time limit” (Play KOW/Hawkins and Ryder) KOW are the firm favourites with the crowd in this match getting a great reaction from the crowd. This mean as of right now they lead the table with three points but with the other match still to come, will they be leading at the end of the night. “Tough breaks for Hawkins and Ryder tonight, not being able to pick up the victory means they are out of the running for the number one contender’s spot with one match to go against the World’s Greatest Tag Team next month but as for the KOW, this match could be the one thing that could help them win this tournament, what a great opening match for The Big Bang, KOW lead the table but will they be leading after the second tournament match of the night, we shall find out later but right now JB is backstage with his first interview of the evening” “Thank you Styles, ladies and gentlemen I am joined right now by the former FIP World Heavyweight Champion, The Big Show, after last month where Sheamus cost you the Championship and you cost him his Revolution spot, tensions have been running high between you two leading to tonight’s match. Finlay extends his hand out for a handshake like a respectful veteran but Benoit instead decides not to shake his hand, Finlay goes up to Benoit and with precision and power hits Benoit right in between the eyes with a closed fist and follows it up by choking Benoit down on the mat. Benoit is able to crawl free and attempt a roll up on Finlay but the veteran instincts of Finlay is shown when Finlay rolls through and goes for the Celtic Knot but Benoit gets to the ropes causing the break up straight away. Finlay gets the shoulder up. Benoit drags Finlay to the middle of the ring applying the headlock as Finlay gets to one foot then another hitting a side suplex with a cover for 1…2…NO! Benoit kicks out. Finlay picks up Benoit going for a powerbomb but Benoit counters with a back body drop but Finlay lands on his feet as Finlay grabs a hold of Benoit and german suplexes him to the mat to a great reaction from the fans cheering on a fellow ROH employee, Finlay keeping his hands around the waist hitting another german suplex still his hands around the waist going for a third but Benoit hooks his legs around Finlay’s legs as Benoit starts elbowing Finlay in the face as Finlay is seen hammering the back trying a third german suplex but Benoit rolls through with a small package for 1…2…NO! Benoit is announced the winner of the match as he slowly rises to his feet and is handed his Pure Championship to a great reaction from the crowd, having turned in favour of Benoit for the constant, outstanding performances that he gives. Benoit is celebrating his championship win when he turns around and gets drilled down to the mat with the jawbreaker lariat from Nigel McGuinness who slowly picks up the Pure Championship and proceeds to take the belt and leave the ring with it, Benoit and Finlay are out on the mat as the crowd are actually booing McGuinness for what he is doing with the belt as we cut to commercials once again promoting the epic three night event in April, the 2nd Year Anniversary show. Coming back from commercials we see Tyler Black getting ready for his match getting massive boos from the crowd, Black now shielded by armed security guards so that nothing can happen to him before his big title match tonight, as we go to ringside for the semi main event of the evening. “Ladies and Gentlemen the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships” (Play Briscoe’s/ London and Kendrick) London and Kendrick look right into the eyes of The Briscoe Brothers, handing the tag team championships to the referee who holds them high then giving them to the timekeeper calling for the bell, London and Mark stay in the ring to start the match. KOW VS Hawkins & Ryder
This was a solid opening tag team match. Loved the psycology of working the leg, Ryder being the face in peril. It certainly clmiaxed to a fever pitch in the last few moments and loved the finish. Right guys go over for sure.
Swagger VS Tatsu
Swagger was definatly being the submission artists here, trying to keep Yoshi grounded with submissions and suplexes. But in the end your dark hourse Yoshi gets the frogsplash out of nowhere after putting up one hell of a fight. Good stuff, Yoshi is going places.
Big Show VS Sheamus
This was on its way to being a HELL of a big man war, breaking down into weapons when...fuck you Black. Can't these two have one clean match? Hehe interesting to see what Big Show will do in retaliation. Black is the dick of ROH
WGTT VS Beer Money
Excellent exchange between the two teams. Beer Money the grounded powerhouses and WGTT more so speed combined with chopping them down. Tag match of the night for sure and the bridge finish allowed Benjiman and Haas to win without taking anything away from Beer Money. But damn will Beer Money ever get a push in ROH?
Finaly VS Benoit
Man! These guys had a ground based techinical classic. The start was interesting with the handsake and then...damn you Finaly! But yeah he got what he deserved as Benoit went over. Good stuff.
Briscos VS L & K
This was a face paced and as a result shorter match than the others. Really liked how they blended their styles together. Move after move after move. Again the leg working was in there which was nice with these type of guys but in the end they fought threw and finished with the 450...eventually hehe for the London and Kendrick win. Good stuff. All the tag matches were great and it really shows your division off having the main event tag matches like this.
Main Event
A good Lumberjack match that was well told. Revolution certainly were good as heel lumberjacks and you knew that situation was going to explode with the whole backstory of the war. My favourite spot was Orton saying "fuck it!" and splashing the Jumberjacks to take out black. So Black's dick behaviour finally catches up to him huh? Daniels did screw him but Black deserved it. And Orton retains AGAIN...man this is the best World title run of any of ours.
Think you could do with a main event that doesn't have a run in. But other than that a very enjoyable show that again builds to your big April event.
