Okay if I don't get this out of my system, I'll end up writing a death angle.

I am seriously at this point of no return with WWE. When I mean no return, I mean, I'm really starting to see through the wool. WWE knows they can't sell Wrestlemania this year so what are they going to do, use ALL the star power they have to sell it from HBK to The Rock, tonight, proved that point.

Tonight they had a HUGE chance to do something great (And no it's not because I'm pissed Morrison lost) and new for a change, but instead they kept to the status quo. Here's my problem, Cena AGAIN is in the Main Event, this will be the 7th Straight Time, this is more than Hulk Hogan and more than Triple H, the problem, Triple H is actually watchable where as Cena has been stale since around '08. For the forth year in a row they're pulling the "I need to get to Mania' Bullshit with Cena, how many 'comebacks' does he need? Nothing and I mean nothing at this point can save Wrestlemania except for CM Punk (who'll lose to orton) and Money in the Bank (Which they'll scrap) so there's no point in watching.

WWE NEEDS to push their talent NOW, and I mean...NOW. They're not pushing Miz, they're destroying him, he was MORE of a contender as US Champion than he is as WWE Champion. He can't beat lawler without help, can't beat Orton without help, lucky to win A MATCH without help and is just living off of a catch phrase. I'm sorry, but being hated does NOT make you credible. Randy Savage was hated..AND he could back it up! They need to push Bourne, Morrison, Shaemus, Drew, Ryder (yes I said that) Barrett, Punk and ANY OTHER FUCKING NEW TALENT that shows up and hasn't had a title push since 2004!

I'm sorry but I'm not being fooled into it, The Rock is just a way to say "Hey remember when things were good...well that's just a memory now" and HBK is saying "Yeah, remember wrestling? We're retiring that" and with Austin and Trish being coaches what they're really saying is "Just because they're super over, doesn't mean we care anymore."

For 26 Mania's I've watched and have either given a thumbs up or down and I'm sorry, there is NO WAY IN HELL this Mania will get a thumbs up, they would Never....EVER allow Miz to beat Cena. I am within an earshot of not watching Mania for the first time ever and sadly, I don't think I care. Am I going to watch it...with hope that they'll ACTUALLY do SOMETHING with Del Rio but I'm very doubtful.

Lately it's been "Oh my god this is a good show.....FUCK CENA WINS" "Wow this is a really good show, they're...FUCK CENA WINS" "Okay now they're starting to...FUCK CENA WINS" that is how it's been and I know they've been doing that since 2005 but when you have the crowd CHEERING A HEEL! That's when the product is failing and fast. I don't care if they were a 'smart crowd' the proof was, they cheered when Orton was gone and went dead silent when Cena won..I mean....dead fucking silent, there was more noise during Owen Hart's death than Cena winning the chamber and I"m not fucking kidding. Fruity Fucking Pebbles? REALLY? WHOS WRITING THIS SHIT A FIVE YEAR OLD? WHOEVER IS....FUCKING STOP IT. STOP IT! FUCKING STOP IT! IT"S NOT FUNNY! I know everyone is going to say 'well it was obvious that Cena was going to win come on' but literally, cena did the LEAST AMOUNT in that chamber and he wins. *Sigh* really people from now on, anytime Cena is on the tv, I'm changing the channel and I think if everyone started doing that, MAYBE WWE will get the hint.

Thank you WWE for making a pretty dammed good PPV into a Pretty Dammed Good PPV with a raping. It's like going on a date and being slipped a ruffie, sure the drink and dinner was nice but really?

Right now there's a poll on the Raw-part of wwe.com asking the question "Should WWE Champion The Miz be worried about his WrestleMania XXVII opponent, John Cena?"

At the moment 74.10% of the pepople voting has voted for the option "No way. The Era of Awesome will continue past WrestleMania." against 25.89% for "Yeah! Cena will earn his eighth WWE Title at The Show of Shows".

74.10 is a pretty high vote of confidence in a cowardly heel-type character as the Miz. I believe that says a lot about the situation surrounding John Cena.

As long as Cena is going to be booked as superman in the foreseeable future though, I think he might as well get the belt. At least that might make the title worth more...

that might be true but WWE doesn't use stats or votes as any kind of bias. Even if 100% of the vote said Miz was going to win they'd just have Cena win for 'shock value.' My big problem is I have no problem with Cena as a person but my main problem is he's built up so high that anyone that beats him isn't noteworthy. Just because Edge, Orton, Punk, Triple H, Wade Barrett and Shaemus may have beaten him a number of times, multiply that number by three and that's how many times Cena has (with the exception of Punk...give it time) beaten them. There's no value in John Cena anymore, him winning a match is about as impactful as getting a handjob from your sister, where as beating him is a 'shock surprise' but we all know the one that beats him won't go anywhere (Look at Shaemus whom beat him and look at Orton and Edge, where have they gone -- dispite being World Champions, did their value go up...no.) Yes they are doing the Hogan thing with Cena but the real problem is, while Hogan beat opponents they STILL went on and had careers and did very well in the long run where as former Cena opponents are stuck repeating the same story for six years.

We'll see where they go with this but unfortunately even if we got to see Rock/Cena it would be too little too late and there would be no time or not enough time invested for anyone to care. Hell, if we hadn't had seen Cena/Miz a year ago, I think I would care more for it, but lets face it, Cena destroyed him the first 2 times they actually squared off, so there is no hope for Miz actually beating him at Wrestlemania.

Now I'll admit, I may be wrong, but come on people, out of Triple H, Batista, Edge and Big Show, HBK, Randy Orton, and JBL, Miz beats him? Really?

I agree with everything you say here.

My point was that the numbers in the poll indicate that the frustrated fans are no longer just a minority of "smarks", but is becoming mainstream. Sooner or later it's gonna hurt WWE financially to ignore that. But sadly, it will probably still take years before anything changes (in this regard, some other things are changing allready, albeit to slowly).

I still think that it makes sense to give Cena the title (though they could have waited til after Mania with giving it to him to give someone else (and I think we both agree it should be morrison) the spotlight at Mania). If they're not gonna change the way they book him, at least give the guy who finally beats him a belt for the effort. Maybe the title will have some more weight that way.

This is REALLY the big issue. Sheamus' carreer should at this point be close to Undertaker's carreer in late 91', instead he's jobbing to Mark Henry - the ultimate jobber (even Santino gets a bigger push these days). Morrison is upper midcard, Swagger is totally squashed...

If WWE could realize that these potential stars should be in the main event, superbooking Cena (and even worse, the boring face-version of Orton) wouldn't be as annoying. I never really liked Hulk Hogan, but his booking never annoyed me this much either. Probably because - to use an example of what you said more generally - when 'Taker finally took the title from him at Survivor series, we knew 'Takers carreer was made. That was a powerful impact - and the match wasn't even won clean (both Paul Bearer and Ric Flair got involved).

I have no hopes of Miz winning at Mania. But I have a slight hope he won't be totally squashed afterwards. And there is still hope for Del Rio, I believe. If Edge is added to the list of men with Super as a prefix to their name, smackdown is fucked as well.

But really - WWE hasn't gotten worse in the last year, it's got better. It's just that the change is happening to late, and to slowly - and one more year of (almost) the same is pissing us off more than the last - even if the last one was worse. In 2010 they started many great stories - the Nexus thing, the Taker/Kane story reloaded, Daniel Bryans feud with Cole and Miz, etc. In 2011 maybe the storylines will have good middle parts as well, and maybe in 2012 or 13, they'll even have good endings.

little by little it's getting better yes I"ll admit that but the major issues are things that should never happen. Yes they're having a youth movement, but what are they doing with them? Little to nothing while the top three main event guys keep getting their push. Should a young talent get a title, it's worthless as they book them as horrible champions (I'm sorry but a 20 something champion beating a 50 something competitor is not strong) that lose on free TV and can barely get it done on PPV. Swagger, Shaemus and Miz are victims of this hugely. I mean thank god The I.C. Title still has a bit of prestigue to it and the U.S. is just barely holding on, but some of the main focus, being a champion, is considered a 'placement' rather a value.

So yes things are getting better but at the same time they're shooting themselves in the foot with a lot of these major issues. People can argue that a certain brand has the best wrestling around but when the title holder is just a 'prop' there's no sense in 'believing'. We'll see what WWE has up their sleeves but with Cena headlining Mania again...things are not looking good.
