Do NOT read too much into this. This is a work. This is a complete work because NO ONE knew about the Invasion Angle that they were doing on RAW, getting rid of Daniel Bryan is another way to get the Smarks erect with anger just so they can pull the wool over their eyes. Trust me, they could have fired ANYONE from NXT and no one would have cared, ONLY the smarks would get pissed about Brian getting 'fired.' Trust DM, this is and will be a work.

There is two things that WWE has done with this
1) Created an extension to an already intreguing storyline, allowing Danielson to return in the near future, after Raw they set up a feud between Cena and Himself pretty damn quickly. What they potentially have done is made you double think about why they have released DANIEL BRYAN and not BRYAN DANIELSON. notice wwe.com said Daniel Bryan but in brackets say Bryan Danielson, just saying is all
2) Danielson was the only one that people ever cared about in NXT, come on people admit it, it was true, no-one cared about any of the other rookies really until Danielson got eliminated! so by doing this they have told the smarks we have had our fun with him go back to the Indy's which people say is a huge mistake and it is but look at both sides of the fence, WWE would not be able to market Danielson in a way that can draw the big bucks, AND BEFORE you say that Punk is getting over for what he is doing. LET me remind you that Punk's gimmick he is doing on WWE right now is a carbon copy of what he was doing in ROH just on a PG level show! So by letting go of Danielson it does create alot of questions and controversary both good and bad but we shall see what happens.

Exactly James thanks for making the argument a lot stronger. One other thing to mention is this, the NXT Rookies were competiting for a contract with WWE, so 'kayfabe wise' Bryan cannot be released from his contract...if he didn't win it. This is very smart booking on WWE's terms and a great way to get even the smarks going.

The firing is legitimate, but probably temporary. Apparently, some pussy with a lot of power complained about the "violence" that the kids saw on TV when Danielson choked Roberts with the tie. But there's a fatal flaw in that argument: The shit that happens between the ropes is violent as well! Jesus christ...
Anyway, I don't expect Danielson to be gone long.

i just want to add that i will watch raw this week, this is 1 shot for them to redeem themselves to me, i will only watch sd because theres wrestling on there and im interested in the kane storyline. i may watch nxt occasionally when im able to, but raw has pissed me off enough.

It's legit, and he's released as a scapegoat. Danielson is already looking for work on the independent scene again. He won't be returning to WWE any time soon.
WWE cannot be blamed for this, because unfortunately, they had no choice. You have to look at it from their perspective, and their backs are against the wall here.
I hate it just as much as anyone else... but there's really not too much else we can do. It's just a fucking shame that the Danielson/Cole build up, PLUS the NXT invasion are now going to be severely, severely damaged.
John Cena WANTS Danielson back in the WWE as well. He's signed an online petition to get him back in, and if I knew where the hell to sign it, I'd nail my name on that fucking thing too.
So right now... we have to wait and see.

There are a lot of rumors floating around that it was an exec from Mattel that made the comment, however again I almost want to call kayfabe because if you're not allowed to 'choke someone' with a rope...why does Christian have a move where you're dangling on the rope and he stands on your back?

The impression within WWE among most is that Daniel Bryan didn’t know about the “Chris Benoit protocol” where talents aren’t supposed to choke each other with objects. Word is that the protocol was something that was talked about in meetings and some of the talents who have been around for a few years knew about but it wasn’t something that was talked about regularly. There is said to be a lot of sympathy right now for Bryan.
Several people have pointed out that WWE has done choking storylines since the Benoit murders, most notably at the 2008 Royal Rumble when Chris Jericho strangled JBL with ringside cables.

No BM I can blame WWE because they are cowards and care more about sponsers than the television product.
My point is there shouldn't be a scapegoat, WWE should just appolgise that they didn't know Matel or whoever were stuck up tight pricks and move on without repeating that part of the attack.
And the whole "benoit rule" is horseshit. So what just because he hung himself they can't have choking spots? And yeah as Jason pointed out they have had main eventers do it!
Back when I loved the WWF they stood for giving the middle finger to authority, now they are overly produced watered down kids stuff with only occasional good wrestling and decent storylines to keep us going.
Oh and you wait till I start the thread about Raw this rant hasn't even begun. Fuck this company!

I seriously disagree with blaming WWE. I don't think they had much of a choice here, mainly because someone with a lot of power complained about the entire fucking thing.
I'm sure WWE will bring him back, it's just a matter of when. Everyone in the back wants him back, all the fans want him back... Vince isn't stupid. After all, he re-hired THE WARRIOR. So I'm sure he'll rehire Danielson once this entire fucking thing blows over.
WWE has done far worse, and regardless of what this does to them, the rest of the product is undamaged. The wrestling aspect is still good, the entertainment is still there... it's just a small dent in the armor, and I'm sure it'll be repaired.
We'll just have to wait and see.
