NWA Great American Bash 2012 Build Up

Week 1
"Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Monday Nitro off of the heels of New Blood Rising, what an excellent pay per view that was much more than what we had expected, non of the title holders lost their belts but the big news floating around right now is Ricky Steamboat has a major announcement at the end of the night, we know his battle with Brock took a lot out of him, hopefully he's not taking time off or dropping the belt but we shall find out at the end of tonight."
[Play Out]
Hell yes, Sin Cara going one on one against Taka Michonoku and yes the title belt was on the line as these two tore up the ring and each other with high flying spills and audience thrills, Sin Cara having the stronger game out of the two, able to drop Taka with La Mistica, going for the cover when he was pulled to the floor by Sin Cara Nergo whom smashed the back of his head against the steel stairs, reaching over and removed his mask from his head, leaving him face down and left ringside, the ref quickly running to Cara's aid grabbing a towel to hide his face, Cara rising up and moved to the back.
Cameras catch up to the back as Priceless and Del Rio were walking into the arena in well pressed suits, some women coming up asking for autographs as they would sign them, laughing all the while as Kevin Kelly walked over to them.
"Excuse me guys first off congradulations on defending your titles, Eric Bishoff is looking for you guys about The Great American Bash."
"Tell him, the Greatest Tag Team in the World and the highest paid athlete in the world will see him after we're done talking to our press."
"Press what press?"
Heenan would then interject.
"Mr. Del Rio and Priceless have conferences, a charity function, a book signing and I think a movie roll at five so so tell Mr. Bishoff we'll get to him soon enough."
Heenan would move them along, Kevin just looking flabbergasted as DiBiase Sr. stepped into view.
"Here, give this note to Mr. Bishoff and tell him that money talks and our champions walk."
With that we cut back to ringside.

Big bad Tamina after her big win over Beth Phoenix was going one on one with Natalya whom looked a bit nervous but ready to take on the world. She found out quickly that Tamina was the stronger of the two, pushing Natalya around with ease, forcing her to wrestle her down to the mat. After ten minutes of trying Tamina dropped her with the rolling Samoan Drop then the big splash for the victory. Tamina wouldn't even grin or anything, just rolling out of the ring heading to the back; Where MsChif had been watching when Serena came into view.
"So when the hell am I getting my title shot? You've been ducking me ever since becoming champion, what you afraid I'm going to hurt you?"
"No I think the issue is I'm not in charge of booking matches, you want a match, how about win one for a change and maybe the General Manager will actually realize whom the hell you are."
MsChif walked off as Serena would scowl at her, we move back to ringside.
Cameras move to the back where Ricky Steamboat is seen talking with a few wreslters, he looked pretty banged up but in high spirits, walking from them as he would come to a stop and went face to face with Bret Hart. He rose his glasses up and spoke only one sentance.
"Six months down...six months to go."
With that both of them walked off as we cut to Kevin Kelly.
"Ladies and Gentleman what a hell of a night last night was I'm here with Tully Blanchard and Babydoll and..right off the bat I have to ask what happened to BabyDoll it appears she has a black eye or something."
"You want to know what happened to her, the back of my hand is what happened. If this stupid bitch would have actually did her job last night maybe she wouldn't have screwed me out of my match against CM Chump. He got goddammed lucky last night and I can tell you this, he's a deadman when I see him."
"Oh am I really?" Punk came into view. "I see you finally found an opponent you can take on, only problem is I'm not a real big advocate on hitting women and I can see your ass is still sore from the raping I gave you last night. Feeling frisky, I'll fight you again tonight."
"You know what you little street rat, not only am I sending you to the hospital, I'm putting you straight into the morque."
They broke off as we were forced to go back to ringside but it appeared the fight, the rematch, was on and Nitro went to a break.
[Play Out]
Jeff Jarrett came down to the ring all grins and smiles as he stood tall and proud, getting a hold of a mic.
"Ladies and Gentleman, your People's Champion Jeff Jarrett is 7 and O, that's right I'm undefeated and tonight will surely be the same. You send anyone out and I'll destroy them limb from limb. Go ahead time me."
[Play Out]
Well this was new as fresh from the draft Hiroshi Tanahashi was making his debut against Jeff Jarrett as the bell sounded. Jarrett walked over with a grin as Tanahashi caught him right in the nose with a leaping tiger knee then a vicious elbow smash to the head, coming off the rope with a cross body then a vicious spin kick over the head. Jarrett was busted open over the nose as Tanahashi picked him up and slammed him with a sit out brainbuster and beat Jarrett in 26 seconds. Tanahashi rose up, looking down at a beaten Jarrett and left the ring, fixing his hair a bit and rose his hands up with one hell of a debut and Jarrett stumbled to the back.
Finally Bishoff got a hold of the Tag Team Champions having them in his office.
"Alright you two, needless to say you got lucky last night and I know you guys are proclaiming to be the greatest tag team champions in the world so we're going to do something at the Great American Bash that has never been done before."
"Sell out a pay per view venue?"
Priceless would snicker at that one as Bishoff continued.
"No, we're going to have a Tag Team Invitational Guantlet, all of the tag teams that we have in one huge match, the winners walk out, tag team champions."
"Whoa hold the phone there Bish that's, eight tag teams we might have to go up against."
"No Ted, there's Ten Tag Teams that you MIGHT have to go up against, everyone will draw numbers of course and the last team standing will either remain or become Tag Team Champions. And the best part people actually actually know whom these tag teams are, not like they came from some Indy Promotion. But that's your match at The Great American Bash, if I were you two, I'd start training...and hard."
Priceless rose up and they were non too happy with this decision, walking off in a rage as Bishoff grinned, asking for Del Rio to come in but was told he...left early and that didn't make Bishoff at all happy as we cut back to ringside.

Speaking of tag teams it was MNM against The Hart Dynasty whom had been looking to get a bit win here tonight, Natalya recovered from her match earlier and made sure to keep Melina in check whom was barking and screaming out orders. Just like clockwork Melina got on the apron and Natalya pulled her down though this time, MNM were able to score the Snapshot on Kidd scoring the win. Melina ran into the ring to celebrate with her boys as Natalya complained they cheated, Melina pie facing Natalya whom tackled her down and a fight broke out. MNM and Dynasty going to war with each other. It was a fist fight as refs flew down to stop it, Dynasty getting pulled to the floor as they were jumped by The Anderson's whom now started to put a pounding on them, pulling out crowbars to finish the job when LOD flew from the back, their blood fued with the Anderson's etched in stone as now they started to fight, security flying down to just stop this brawl as Nitro cut to a break.
"Whoa welcome back ladies and gentleman, a battle ensued out here just a moment ago as Dynasty and MNM went to a fight, The Anderson's came down for revenge over last week and LOD obviously still wanting a piece of the Anderson's and we wish we could tell you it stopped here but once it got to the back it really got out of control, local police were forced down to break it up, it appears the tag teams are now starting to stake their claim at the titles already as we've been told that on Main Event, The Andersons, LOD, Dynasty and MNM will be in a four corners tag bout, I cannot wait."
"My lord they were tearing each other apart out there a moment ago weren't they? I'd say the tag team champions have a lot on their plate right now Grisham."
"Well yes they do, right now lets take you to the main event, Eric Bishoff has promised on one hell of one indeed."
[Play Out]
Hell yes, The Phoenix Hayabusa against Ultimo Dragon, just the name, Phoenix vs. Dragon had a mythical name to it as the match was on and this was pure art, poetry and an orgasm in the ring as these two went to complete war with each other. Busa obviously was out classed by Dragon though Dragon was surprised with some of the death defying tactics that were being pulled off from the challenger. The match carried out for ten full minutes as Ultimo went for the Asai DDT but it was blocked, Hayabusa countering right into a Victory Roll Snapbomb Pinning combination for three.
That was a huge surprise right there as Hayabusa slowly rose up, exhausted from the bout as he rose his palm in victory and went to leave the ring as Ultimo pulled him back inside and shook his hand for a job well done, Busa nodding his head in a bow and left the ring with Dragon to follow as we go to the Main Event.
[Play Out]
Out came CM Punk but he was jumped by not only Tully but also the Anderson's as they put a beating on Punk, beating the hell out of him with lead pipes and it was even worse as they dragged him to the back, more so the parking lot, the Anderson's beating Punk to a car and held his face by a tire as Tully got into the car, he was going to shred and peel the reved tire over Punk's face as he started the car. Tully was ready to step on the gas but thank GOD security flew down just in the nick of time to save Punk's life from what they were about to do, Tully getting out of the car as security quickly pulled them away, Tully breaking away from them and smashed Punk's head through the windshield.
Security pulling them away as EMT's quickly flew to aid Punk as we cut to a break.
"My god Ladies and Gentleman we apologize for what we just saw here a moment ago I'm being told right now that we are not even allowed to replay what was just shown on TV a moment ago, the status of CM Punk is unknown at the moment and Eric Bishoff is said to be livid over what just happened, we promise you we will keep you posted."
[Play Out]
Oh boy, Kojima against Mutoh and the tension was already thick as these two locked up and went to war with each other, Koji sticking to submission high intensity while Mutoh kept to a more striking counter game, almost making this evenly matched as the match carried on. Koji got the upper hand with some stiff kicks, trying for poison orange mist but Mutoh blocked and caught Koji with the red mist, blinding him and caught the shining wizard for three. Mutoh rose up but was blasted over the back with Gotoh's staff whom started to beat the hell out of him, setting him up for the DragonSlayer when Chono flew down to the ring, tackling Gotoh to the mat and started to fight him off, Mutoh fighting back against Koji as they made a hasty retreat, the rivalry seeming to continue on as Nitro cut to a break.

The fans were going crazy chanting out Steamboat's name over and over again, they refused to let him talk as they were proud of their champion for defending so well against Brock Lesner, Ricky taking a moment to soak it all in.
"Thank you."
[Play Out]
Sting, NWA World Heavyweight Champion Sting made his way down to the ring and the air was very, very heavy as he walked around the ring, getting a hold of a mic and stepped into the ring, having the World Title draped over his shoulder.
"Congradulations. For the last five to six months, you've had to defend your title twice a week and on pay per view while I've defended mine in wars of fatal four ways, handicap matches and no disqualification bouts. I've been quiet up until now, and it's more so up the fans on whom the better World Champion is. I'm laying down the challenge, Champion vs. Champion, Title for Title, Great, American, Bash."
Steamboat would look down to his title then to the crowd, hearing them chant out for it then looked over at the Bash Banner hanging above, taking one deep breath and spoke out.
"Sting, you're on. Title...for title."
Just like that, the Main Event For The Greatest Summer Show in all of the World, The Great American Bash, was made, both men standing in the middle of the ring looking at each other raising their title belts up as the show would fade to black.
Main Event Results
Main Event blasted the doors down with a recap of the big main event announced for Great American Bash, showing a video package of Ricky Steamboat retracing his roots and training for the big fight and Antonio Inoki already claiming that Steamboat would be the one to win the match. It was then announced that the main event promised would be changed as MNM, Dynasty, The Anderson's and LOD were fined and suspended for the week due to the brawl on Nitro.
First match of the night saw Hayabusa go one on one with Psychosis in one hell of a bout for the ages, just when you thought you've seen it all these two showed the crowd just how intense things could get with Psychosis nearly scoring the win but Hayabusa finished him off with a capture powerbomb for the win.
Serena was on a one woman crusade and said she wanted a title shot but her opponent for the night was Sista Sherri once again and these two women nearly killed each other in and out of the ring. However unlike last time, Serena using an exposed turnbuckle was able to hit Sherri with a school girl for the victory, proclaiming she was coming for the title belt.
Third match would see Priceless going up against the RE-Vengers in a quick paced tag team bout that would see Priceless score the win using cheap, dirty tactics proclaiming they will be the grace of god and the devinity of the devil retain at the Great American Bash.
Final match of the evening pitted Tully Blanchard going one on one with the recovered CM Punk and it was No DQ and Tully, and Punk, used chairs, pipes, stairs and anything they could get their hands on. Within moments Punk was busted open ear to ear as Tully nearly scored the win though Punk turned things around with a roundhouse kick until the Anderson's made their way down to the ring to destroy the remains of CM Punk. Though Punk got some allies in the form of the Legion of Doom whom went right after the Anderson's, keeping them at bay as Punk was able to score the win on Tully to finally end the bout as Main Event came to a close.

Week 2
"Ladies and Gentleman of Monday Nitro, I'm Eric Bishoff, General Manager of Monday Nitro, seeing as how Mr. Del Rio chose NOT to see me in my office I am going to divulge what will be happening over the next three weeks. The United States Championship needs a number one contender and in the spirit of Equal Opportunity and the American Spirit, we are going to hold an 8 Man Tournament with the winner being number one contender. I wish the 8 wrestlers good luck, because they're going to need it."
[Play Out]
First round match here as Owen Hart went one on one with Tiger Mask IV, both of them shaking hands as they moved around the ring having one hell of a Jr. Heavyweight bout, Tiger Mask having the power while Owen the speed, using submission style when he could but Mask started to fight back, hitting heavy bombs and nearly scored the TigerDriver but Owen wrapped his legs around in a hurricanrana putting his weight down and scored the win. Owen rose his hand up advancing to the next round, Mask rolling out of the ring dejected as Owen celebrated in the ring.
"Ladies and Gentleman I'm here with CM Punk, now tonight you have a big match up with Tully Blanchard in the main event this of course being made over the weekend as we see here on the screen you and Tully were going at it in the ring and he clocked you over the back of the head with a pipe and scored the win, tonight is the final encounter, but it's a six man tag, any thoughts going in?"
"Only thoughts I have going right now is that tonight I'm going to end Tully Blanchard and hopefully ram that lead pipe or tire iron or hell even baby doll straight up his ass. I don't know what strategy he has for tonight but I promise you, tonight, Tully Blanchard is going down."
"Oh and real quick, the big main event at Great American Bash, whom do you feel is going to win, Sting or Steamboat?"
"Speaking from a guy who's wrestled them both, if I was a betting man..I'd have to put my money....on Steamboat."
We cut back to ringside.
[Play Out]
Justin Gabriel against Billy Kidman, second match of the tournament, Kidman now wearing a sport jacket and rose tossing them out to the girls as Gabriel was all business, hitting hard shots to the jaw and ribs but Kidman turned up the pressure with his hard hitting offense. The match progressed on as Kidman took a pounding almost getting locked in Purgatory but he kicked free, Gabriel knocking him down and went for the 450 but when he landed Kidman smashed his foot right into his face, finishing him off with the Fireman's Carry Neckbreaker for the victory. Kidman did a little dance, rolling out of the ring and advanced to the next round with a grin, tossing the rose from his coat to the fans and headed to the back.
Cameras move to the back as we see a limo pull up and with camera flashes abound came out Alberto Del Rio. He was dressed like he was on a night on the town, draping his title over his shoulder grinning as he walked to the arena.
"Mr. Del Rio Mr. Del Rio ah you're not scheduled to be here tonight a bit of a shock actually why are you here?"
"I'm here to grace the people of the NWA, I defeated Kane at the Pay Per View and now I've come to be the champion that I am, I'm going to sign some autographs, take some chicas out on a date and maybe watch some of the tournament and prepare myself for the Bash."
"Real quick, whom do you feel is going to win at the big event at the Great American Bash between Sting and Steamboat?"
"You're really asking me that question? To be honest, who cares, neither one of them have the natural wrestling ability or heritage that I do -- but since I have to make a choice....I give it to Steamboat."
Del Rio pushed him aside and headed inside the arena yelling out in Mexican that he arrived as Nitro cut to a break.
[Play Out]
Wow, the man they call Vader going one on one with Mr. Perfect, finess vs. power this was a main event quality bout, Perfect getting tossed around the ring through most of the bout but he was able to out wrestle Vader, having to use leverage when he could and off the rope tactics, able to get Vader down a few times and would apply the pressure. The match carried on after ten minutes, Perfect trying for the PerfectPlex but was rammed to the corner, Vader coming down with the Vaderbomb to secure the victory. Damn, that was a big big win there for Vader as he rose his hand up, on a huge winning streak as he rolled out of the ring, Perfect needing help to the back.
We move to the back Tully Blanchard was walking down the hallway telling Babydoll to hurry along he had a match to prepare for when he was stopped by Kevin Kelly.
"Mr. Blanchard we know you have a big match up tonight against CM-"
"Don't mention that name around me, it already brings down my stock. You want a comment so your writers can masturbate over twitter about what I said, here's a statement, CM Punk is going to have to change his name to R.I.P. I'm not letting that street rat disgrace the good name of Tully Blanchard because I'm going to bust open his head and sign his death certificate with it. I'm a thoroughbread Stallion he's nothing more than a runt of a litter that should have been made into dog chow. Tonight is our Final Encounter and Punk, after tonight, the crucifiction of Christ is going to look like a puppet show compared to what I do to you."
"A-also one more thing Mr. Blanchard if I could ask, big talk going around whom do you see winning the big match at The Great American Bash."
"You know as a Horseman, I cannot deny either one of them, but put your money on the former Horseman Sting."
With that Blanchard pushed Kevin out of the way as we move back to ringside for the Final First Round Match up for the US Title.
[Play Out]
Whoa, Chris Benoit agaisnt Randy Macho Man Savage, what a hell of a match up this was going to be one hell of a wrestling match with Savage having a game in techniqual and Benoit being the submission artist this match couldn't go wrong. For fifteen hard shot minutes Savage and Benoit created poetry in the ring, Benoit trying time and time again for the crippler crossface but Savage was able to break free each time, dropping Benoit with a bodyslam, climbing the top rope and missed the flying elbow, Benoit quickly latching on with the crossface but Savage was able to roll and place his shoulders on the mat for three.
Randy rose his hand up in victory, advancing to the next round as Benoit hit the mat in frustration, so close yet so far as Savage headed to the back as from the Press Box Del Rio was watching...a rematch from last years Great American Bash, could happen as he gave a scowl and sat back down popping open a bottle of champange as we cut to a break.
[Play Out]
Serena in action tonight as she was going one on one with Natalya and she knew the Champion was watching, hell they needed a number one contender and this was a great way to go above it as these two locked up. While Natalya had the strength and submission style Serena sure was able take one hell of a beating, even after being busted open over the mouth, Serena was able to drop Natalya with a Modified Dominator/Code Breaker combination, Serena covering for three. A shocked crowd stood stunned at the severity of that move as the ref checked on her, Serena raising her hand up in the air and left the ring, yelling into the camera, she was coming for that title.
In the back Bret Hart was watching on screen, shaking his head some in disappointment.
"Mr. Hart if I could ask a question, heartbreak tonight for Natalya, we're all walking around asking the same question, whom do you feel will win the big Main Event at the Great American Bash?"
"Truth be told it's hard to really tell and I already have a match with Steamboat at Starrcade and I think it would be real cool, if it was Bret vs. Steamboat....for the title. Therefore, I'll say Ricky Steamboat."
With that said we then fade to a break prior to the Main Event of Monday Nitro.
[Play Out]
The Andersons and Tully against CM Punk and The Legion of Doom, this was going to be brutal. The match started with Punk and Tully going to war with each other, Tully easily schooling Punk around the ring until Punk was able to outsmart him, getting in a few good shots until missing the rising knee, Tully tagging out as Arn came in, starting to destroy Punk with his power and by god speed.
Punk was lucky enough to catch Arn in the face with a knee and tagged in Hawk whom pound for pound this was nothing more than a who can slam whom harder type of bout. Arn had the advantage for a small while until Hawk pushed him out of the corner and nearly took his headoff, Hawk continuing to put the pounding on him until Ole was tagged in, proving to be the stronger of the two.
That was until Hawk tagged Animal in and now the war was on between strength and power, both of these men hitting spine busters and powerbombs that made the ring cry. After a couple of minutes of that things really started to turn as The Horsemen would use double and triple team tactics to keep the advantage in their favor while Punk and Animal would make quick tags to keep alive.
The match progressed on as Punk and Tully were in the ring going to war with each other, Punk taking the brunt of the abuse but still held in there as he was able to catch Tully in the Anaconda Vice. That may have did it if Arn didn't break it up which lead LOD to spill into the ring, taking the Anderson's to the floor. The ref quickly made a signal as a few more refs came down before it turned into a war.
Punk had Tully set up but he was pushed off, the ref getting smacked in the eye as Babydoll got on the apron to distrace Punk whom ducked, Tully accidentally smacking into her as Punk set him up for the GTS. Tully then revealed hidden under his forearm a leadpipe as he bashed it over Punk's head, landing on his feet then bashed it one more time over his skull, tossing the pipe away as Babydoll winked at him and concealed the weapon as Tully covered for three.
The Horsemen stole this one that was for sure, Tully not quite finished with Punk yet though LOD came in with steel chairs as they fled the ring, replay showing Babydoll passing Tully the pipe during the 'scuffle' as he walked backwards with a grin, Punk holding his head was his wristtape was dabbed in blood as Nitro would fade to black.
Main Event
The show opened up with Sin Cara Negro with Sin Cara Azul's mask on going one on one with Taka Michonoku. The title was indeed on the line and Negro was very aggressive in this match taking it to Taka the only way he knew how, going for La Mistica but Taka made him spin off and connected with the Flash Kick for the three. Taka retained and the real Sin Cara came down to the ring, dropping Sin Cara Negro with La Mistica then quickly removed the blue mask off of him, Negro quickly fleeing from the ring and did a great job covering up his face, Azul standing proud with his old mask back.
The second bout featured Serena proclaiming she was going to be women's champion as she went one on one with Maryse of all people. While most wouldn't call this a great match up Mayrse actually had a finess style to her and gave Serena a run for her money but one big powerslam changed all that with Serena scoring the win.
Third match Jeff Jarrett yelling that Tanahashi cheated in their bout and wanted a rematch and it was granted though this time Tanahashi scored the win in 20 seconds time.
Fourth match now with time to spare saw Harlem Heat go one on one with Gotoh and Koji. An odd mix here indeed as Heat kept up the pressure with their double team offense but Gotoh and Koji proved to be a little too strong for them, Koji hitting the orange mist right in Booker's Face to blind him for the win.
And in the Main Event of the night, Tully Blanchard proclaimed he could defeat anyone on the roster and he was done with CM Chump, putting up $50,000 of his own cash when he battled against Bret Hitman Hart. Oh wrestling couldn't get any better than this as it was stiff, techniqual and counter crazy with these two. Babydoll would hit the apron once again only to distract Hitman, Tully having powder in his tights though Punk came from the crowd and caught Tully, smacking the powder in his eye and quickly rolled out of the ring, Hitman catching Tully in a small package for the victory and most importantly, the 50 Grand. Tully was pissed as he saw Punk in the crowd grinning at him, having a soda and ice cream bar in his hand, Tully proclaiming he was going to kill him as Main Event came to a close.

Week 3
"Good evening wrestling fans talk about the road to the Great American Bash we just got a huge announcement, tonight we're going to have a Cruiserweight Invitational, the winner gets a shot at Taka Michonoku at The Great American Bash, the continuation of the United States Championship Tournament and Bishoff has guarenteed we will have a number one contender for the women's title tonight as well in fact that match believe it or not is right now."
[Play Out]
All of the women made it down to the ring but oddly enough they cleared a path of Phoenix and Tamina as they stared at each other then started to tear into each other, the rest of the angels going to war with each other, kicking, punch, scrapping towards each other, over the top rope rules and it was going to be hard getting some of them out, Maryse being the first girl eliminated, followed up with Melina soon thereafter.
The bout continued on with Beth and Tamina still going to war with each other, Phoenix going for a GlamSlam but somehow Tamina broke out of the hold and clotheslined Phoenix out of the ring. Tamina stood strong as she continued to dominate the ring, there wasn't an angel alive that could drop her down, Tamina getting a hold of Lita, pressing her over her head though she got caught in the eye then tackled down by Natalya then blasted in the face with a kick from Toyota, all three of them trying to toss her out but she pushed them back getting right into the face with Sherri.
She would push her back and Sherri tackled the bitch down, starting to wail on her, pulling her up and almost tossed her out but Tamina irish whipped RIGHT into a clothesline, tossing Sherri up and over to the floor, getting a hold of Lita, raising her up and tossed her hard to the floor.
Tamina was a woman on a mission as Toyota went for a back suplex until she was hiptossed off then clotheslined to the floor, Tamina turning and locked right into a greco roman with Natalya, laughing a ther as Nattie slowly dropped to her knees, shaking her head and slowly rose to her feet, trying to fight out of it as she rose to her feet, breaking out of the lock and locked up with Tamina, her legs shaking violently as Nattie took three steps back, Tamina almost pushing her to the corner as Nattie gave one hard heave, sending her on her ass.
Tamina rose from that shock and took one hell of a clothesline going up and over to the floor below, Natayla getting a standing ovation for that until she was dumped up and over to the floor by Serena.

She may have won the match but that wasn't the story as Tamina got a hold of Natalya, beating the hell out of her and laid her on the announce table, climbing up the top rope and did a super fly splash right upon Nattie through the table. She rose up without a scratch on her, leaving Nattie in pain on the floor as she made her way to the back, refs flying down to help her.
We cut to Bishoff's office where there was some arguing going on, cameras sneaking up from behind as Tully was yelling at him.
"I want CM Punk tonight, I don't care where you have to get him, I want his ass tonight."
"I can't do that Tully Punk and a couple of others are doing promotional work for the new NWA Video Game-"
"F*ck the video game, I want his F*cking ass here tonight so I can put an end to this once and foreall."
"First of all Tully you don't come marching in here telling me-"
Tully then grabbed him by the collar and pulled him up to his level.
"No I don't think you understand Bishoff, I'm a Horseman born and bred and if I don't get CM Punk tonight, there's going to be hell to pay. There are two things you need to know, you don't F*ck with a Horsemen and rule two, you don't F*ck with a Horsemen, get on the phone and get him here."
Tully pushed him back into his chair and walked off, Arn and Ole just giving Bishoff a warning look and with that, we move back to ringside.

Owen Hart against Billy Kidman, high flying all abound as Owen had to be careful of Kidman's feet, getting socked a few times as Kidman stuck to his roots. Owen went for submissions though Kidman had the strength over him, qutie a bit in fact as he had control over most of the bout, going for a knock out kick, Owen Side Stepping and went for a Victory Roll, Kidman smacking him face first into the buckle, picking him up for the Fireman's Carry Neckbreaker, Owen countering that right into a stunner then his patened spinning wheel kick..for three. Almost a surprise victory there as Kidman had the match in his favor, Owen rolling out to the floor and headed to the back, two down, one to go.
We cut to the back as cameras catch up with a massive brawl was going on between Gotoh and Koji against Chono and Mutoh and they had completely destroyed the backstage area, it was a complete gang war as officials were pulling them apart, Bishoff getting right in the center of it.
"Alright enough of this, the four of you have been fueding for months now, I'm putting an end to it, both teams not only entered in the guantlet but also both teams will be facing one on one, Great American Bash, the four of you, hit the showers."
Bishoff wasn't kidding around anymore as they pushed them back, Kevin Kelly getting in the middle of it.
"Mr. Bishoff real quick, so much chaos going on here tonight, real quick for NWA.com whom do you feel is going to win the big Main Event at Great American Bash?"
"Speak from a business perspective...Sting and I'm not just saying that because he's my champion, I'm saying it because it's the truth."
We then cut back to ringside.

The match that was promised from Main Event taking place tonight, Hart Dynasty, LOD, The Anderson's and MNM, four corners tag bout and holy hell was this a mess. It was easy to see whom wasn't going to get along, Dynasty proving to be the underdogs of the bout but gave it their all with MNM doing the most double team damage, LOD having the power game and The Anderson's picking their spots when needed, knowing how to win a match.
Things got hot and heavy once Melina and Natalya got scrappy on the floor giving LOD and the Anderson's to take a chance and beat at each other, turning the match in their favor as it would spill into a controlled brawl. By some act of God Dynasty had knocked Arn and Hawk out of the ring, causing them to get into a blood war, Dynasty tangling with MNM until Animal made the blind tag in the later bit, destroying MNM, setting Nitro up for the Doomsday Device, Mercury stopping it just in time, The Anderson's getting in some cheap shots as Dynasty went to war with them, Animal getting his bearings straight going for a powerbomb as NItro countered landing on his feet and connected with a Nitro blast....for the victory.
Melina flew into the ring and scissored Nitro in a hug, screaming out she knew he could do it, screaming up and down they were going to win the tag team titles as Nitro scoring the win over Animal from LOD had to be the shock of the world, Nitro, after a kiss from Melina, actually had a smile on his face, MNM leaving ringside as Nitro cuts to a break.
Once we come back MNM were in the back with champagne, Melina dousing both of them with laughs and grins.
"Excuse me MNM if I could get a word, congradulations on the victory tonight, some post comments if possible?"
"Oh my god did you see my boys out there? Like a well oiled rippling machine they took it to the max and took out all three of them. My boys are going to the top of the NWA and take those tag team titles, oh my god what a rush."
"And real quick before I let you go, your thoughts on the big main event?"
Mercury would answer.
"Ah we had this discussion at my beachhouse the other day and while we could honestly care less for a couple of hasbeens whom could only live and dream to be just like us, we've all decided that it'll probably be Sting by some kind of shenanigans cause lord knows he can't win a wrestling match without the corporation in his back pocket. Now if you'll excuse us, we have some high life we have to get back to."
With a loud cheer they would walk off as we moved back to ringside.

Here we go, Big Van Vader against Randy Savage and all eyes were on the match, Savage stretching with the rope and Vader working his arms in the air as the bout began. Vader obviously had strength but Savage had the agility and the ability to absorb a lot of pain, just ask anyone as the match carried out. While Vader held the advantage through most of the bout, Randy having to dig in deep to knock Vader down and keep him down, Savage starting to out wind him, Savage able to drop him down and climbed the top rope, hitting the flying elbow but Vader caught him, rising up with superior strength and dropping him with a powerslam, climbing the rope and came down with the Vaderbomb..for three.
Wow, big surprise there as Vader grinned, rolling out of the ring flexing his big arms as he headed to the back where Owen had been watching on monitor, shaking his head a bit.
"Owen a big big win here not only for you but also it seems for Vader as well as you'll be going up agaisnt him next week in the finals, your thoughts?"
"Well Vader is big, he's strong but one thing he's not is a Hart, I have speed and stamina, it's going to be a hell of a climb but I'll get him."
"Before you leave Owen, your thoughts on the Main Event?"
"I think Sting has something more to prove out there in two weeks time so I'll say Sting."
With that we cut back to ringside for the Main Event #1 Contendership for the Cruiserweight Title.

That wasn't a cruiserweight that was Tully Blanchard and he came down to the ring with a crowbar in hand, a few officials coming down to stop him but he pushed them out of the way, getting a hold of a mic.
"Earlier tonight I asked Eric Bishoff for one thing and obviously just like the dead ass that he is he couldn't deliver just like he couldn't deliver in WcW. I asked for CM Punk, he's not here and I promised there was going to be hell to pay, so your cruiserweight match is canceled until I get Punk signed and delivered for right here. No don't boo me because all of you people just like babydoll forgot your place. 8 months ago The Four Horsemen came back to the NWA to save this company from the NWO and after we get done with that we get shoved to the background like an afterthought. I'm F*cking Tully Blanchard, a Goddammed Horsemen and my reward for showing up in this company is a paycheck and a push out the door. This F*cking company holds a United States Tournament and I'm not even F*cking in it? You would think they'd put Tully Blanchard in it, heaven forbid you actually get a champion you could respect instead of some border hopping chollo whoh's only claim to fame is that he's related to a wrestler no one outside of Mexico cares about. Until Tully Blanchard and the Horsemen get recognized around here-"
[Play Out Del Rio]
"Excuse me Senior Blanchard but if you ever talk about mi familia like that again I'll burry you in the wrestling archives where we won't hear from you until a Hall of Fame. Don't pride yourself on being a US Champion when I've brought more prestigue to this title than you have in your entire career. So do us all a favor and go away before I put you away.
"Try it you chollo and I'll bash this crowbar over your head and hope that candy comes out your ass."
"Haha if you try Tully, I'll turn you from a Horseman into a foal."
That was it as Tully to a swing and Del Rio tackled him down, a melee breaking out between the two of them as refs flew down to the ring to restore order and control as Nitro would cut to a break. Once we came back Tully and Del Rio were actually having a match, Dustin Rhodes said he would watch over the bout, Del Rio sticking to a submission game while Tully did a grapple strike tactic, actually cutting Del Rio over the eye.
As much as Tully could dish out, Del Rio was able to take and give it right back, almost getting the cross arm breaker applied a few times, Tully fighting out at each turn trying to finish Del Rio off with a piledriver but Del Rio fought out. As the match progressed they went to the floor, Rodriquez coming over to assist Del Rio taking a shot in the mouth, Del Rio able to get into the ring and scored the ensiguri only scoring a two.
Del Rio moved to the floor, grabbing the US Title and went to blast him but Dustin pulled it away, Del Rio taking a crowbar to the skull, going for the pin but Priceless flew down to the ring , Dustin easily throwing the match out as the Anderson's came down to deal with Priceless. Rhodes getting punched in the mouth to the floor as he stole a cell phone from a fan and made a quick phone call as the insurane policy came in, Gotoh and Koji made their way to the ring to deal with the Horsemen....but that didn't last long as Chono and Mutoh flew down to the ring, it was mass chaos as refs flew down to the ring to stop the anarcy and chaos.
Tully was able to make a hasty retreat towards the back but he was tackled down by CM Punk whom came from out of no where, punching at Tully as now company officials came down to seperate them, Punk and Tully wanted to tear each other apart as did the tag teams in the middle of the ring, Bishoff flying from the back trying to restore order as Nitro would fade to black.

Main Event Results
The show opened up cruiserweight action, the big fight going on at Nitro it was great to warm up as Psicosis, Dragonkid and Suicide were in a triple threat bout for the ages. With each man bringing something to the table with their high calibur offense, Kid almost having the win as Psicosis caught him with Caida Los Muertos and scored the big win.
Tag action as the second bout would see Hart Dynasty go up agaisnt Harlem Heat, obviously a big win would grant them further momentum heading into the Bash as these teams would lock up. Tradition meets style as both of them were pretty evenly matched, Dynasty almost scoring the win but big bad Stevie Ray turning things around in the last seconds, Heat winning in the end.
Third match would pit Justin Gabriel squaring off against Playboy BIlly Kidman whom tossed roses to the girls and danced down to the ring. Kidman though wasn't fooling around int he ring, taking it to Gabriel in the worst of ways, almost scoring the win until Gabriel locked him in the CobraVice, latching it on and forcing Kidman to pass out.
The big main event would be Tamina still angry over losing on Nitro going one on one with Natalya whom was still sore over what happened. The match carried out and Tamina deffinately had the power game but Natalya refused to give up, almost locking her in the sharpshooter but she was kicked off, smacking off the buckle then dropped with the Samoandrop and big splash for the one two three. Tamina would grin down at her next victim, leaving ringside as Natalya struggled to her feet as Main Event came to a close.
Week 4 Go Home Show
"Good evening ladies and gentleman we're praying this week goes a lot better than the last, big cruiserweight bout going on tonight to determing the number one contender, the United States Championship Finale, a huge steel cage main event and the big contract signing between Sting and Ricky Steamboat, so much going on tonight so strap yourselves in."

Here we go big time cruiserweight bout, all of the cruiserweights involved, over the top rope elimination and everyone was extremely careful with the high flying moves knowing one wrong slip or move could really turn the tides in the wrong favor. First one eliminated over the ropes was Hurricane sadly, hitting the mat in frustration towards the evil Sin Cara Negro whom turned around and was kicked right in the face by Azul whom knocked him out of the ring.
Cara rose his hands up and went back to combat when he was jumped from behind by Negro whom tossed him out of the ring and started to brawl with him towards the back. The battle raged on as Hayabusa took the skies but was caught by Kidman whom dropped him with a samoan drop then a superkick to the face, Busa falling to the floor. Kidman commented about his neck, mocking him as he would then get Sucide eliminated.
On the other side of the ring Tiger Mask and Ultimo Dragon were going to war fighting back and forth, almost getting each other out but still no go, Gabriel having a work out with Dragonkid on the far side, tossing him over the top but Kid scissored the legs and pulled him out to the floor and rolled back inside. Kidman was back on the offensive but took one hard kick from Psicosis whom got dumped over by Suicide.
Suicide was the big man now but that only lasted a moment or so as he was knocked out of the ring by TigerMask IV. Now TigerMask was on a roll, taking down his opponents one by one having full control until a superkick from Kidman caught him and sent him over the rope to the floor. Kidman was in full control now, dropping Suicide with the Fireman's Carry Neckbreaker then an inverted wheel kick , Suicide falling to the floor.
Kidman grinned until he was caught with a double dropkick, Dragon and Kid doing a doubleteam upon him, chopping and kicking at him, tossing him to the ropes as then dropped him with a big time move, going to dump him over though Kidman lowbridged, Kid falling to the apron as Dragon took a kick to the jaw and was clotheslined to the floor. Kidman raising his hands up as he turned, Dragonkid springboarding off the rope with a dropsault as Kidman went up and over to the floor.
"Ladies and gentleman here is your winner and number one contender, Dragonkid."
In 15:24 Dragonkid won his way right to the cruiserweight championship. He was on a rollercoaster high, jumping up and down as Kidman yelled out for retribution, Dragonkid raising his hands up in victory as Nitro would cut to a break.
"Ladies and Gentleman I'm standing here with former NWA World Champion, Mitsuharu Misawa. We know you have a big match up here in just a moment we just wanted to get your thoughts on the big Main Event at Great American Bash seeing as how you have faced both champions in the past."
"Base upon previous fight, winner will be...Sting."
With that Misawa walked past Kevin as we move back to ringside.

Whoa, big time match here as Misawa went one on one with Tanahashi, old vs. young you could say as they moved around the ring, both of them high class wrestlers, with Misawa having the power and Tanahashi having the striking game the crowd was stunned when Misawa was busted over the nose at the two minute mark. Tanahashi almost seemed to be outwinding Misawa whom was inhaling a lot of oxygen at the five minute mark but a few good counters turned things back in Misawa's favor. The battle raged on as Tanahashi dropped him down with a brainbuster as the bell had sounded, the ten minute limit had expired, Tanahashi rolled out of the ring with a grin upon his face, Misawa holding head and rubbed his nose, almost growling down the aisle giving him the evil eye.
We move to the back as we see Ricky Steamboat seeming to conduct an interview with NWA.com, the audio was cut so no one could disturb them, the IWGP Title worn proudly over his shoulder and camera flashes were all over the place as cameras move to another side of the arena and Sting was seen, with the World Title signing autographs and answering questions, again, the audio was cut as we move back to ringside.
"Ladies and Gentleman I'm standing here with The Macho Man Randy Savage, a big heart breaker last week as Vader was the one whom took you out of the tournament and one hell of a dark match you gave us earlier tonight against Hirooki Gotoh in which you took the win, our thoughts of course whom you feel will win the Tournament and the Big Main Event."
"Ooh yeah Macho Madness runnin' wild on Nitro yeah, unfortunately the Messiah of Madness fell a little short last week but even the greatest of all time has to fall eventually so fear not because the cream of the crop will rise to the top once again. As far as who'll win the tournament, Vader is big and strong and bad yeah but I tell you what, it may be a longshot but I'll put all the chips in and lay out my cards because Owen Hart will take it all the way yeah. And as far as the Main Event at The Great American Bash, yeah, well I can only judge from what I know and what I know is worth more than the richest prize in the world yeah, so the madness will stand behind The Dragon in Ricky Steamboat. Oh Yeah!"
"Thank you again Macho Man, congradulations on your win earlier tonight, lets get back down to ringside."
[Play Out Priceless.]
"Yes yes I know you're all dying to know whom is in the great big tag team guantlet, well, thanks to our sources we have the full, compiled list of every team...and...a present for each of them. For Demolition we got them a ballgag and furry handcuffs. For the team of The RE-Vengers, a copy of Batman and Robin. For the Legion of Doom we got them bike chain oil and a bell for their bicycles. For the Anderson's, since they're Horsemen, we got them...assless chaps. Harlem Heat already got our gift basket but we did get them a gift certificate to KFC. For MNM we got them a bag of Skittles, mainly it's for Melina since now she can taste the rainbow instead of them melting in her mouth not in her hand. For Gotoh and Koji..the check is in the mail. For Hart Dyansty, they're used to getting nothing so we got this pink thong for Natalya, I'll expect pictures at my e*mail address. We know the Hardy Boys are in it but chances are they won't show so they get nothing. And the tag team of Chono and Mutoh, a coupon for Panda Express."
"Now that we've pissed off the entire roster, just remember, this Sunday it doesn't matter if we're number one or 11 because the fact of the matter is and always will be this, if you're not Priceless, just like every tag team that has come before and after us, you're worthless-

Chono and Mutoh heard enough, starting to make their way down to the ring but they were jumped from behind by Koji and Gotoh, Priceless laughing it all up until Chono and Mutoh started to fight them back into the ring. Priceless went to assist until they were taken down by Hart Dynasty. The ring quickly filled up with The Anderson's flying down along with LOD, Harlem Heat, The RE-Vengers, MNM, Demolition, all of them going to complete war with each other as refs and officials flew down to try and maintain order, Nitro cutting to a break.
Nitro came back on air after all that chaos and carnage, camera men even set their equpitment down to assist in the restainment of the brawl, Nitro finally restored back to order as we prepare for the US Title Finale.

Owen vs. Vader only one could win and all bets were essentially on Vader as the match started off hard and heavy with punches and power offense, Owen playing a very defensive role, working on the leg, knee and arm the best he could. He found out why Vader was a beast, hurting a limb ended up costing Owen a lot of wasted motion as Vader began to completely take control, countering every since attempt Owen tried, he even went for a sharpshooter and it didn't work and his wheel kick was a complete joke compared to Vader's size. Vader had pummeled him down long enough to move him to the corner, going for the Vaderbomb...but missed.
Owen rolled out of the way and connected with the wheel kick, grabbing the legs and somehow through an act of god, locked in the sharpshooter. He knew pinfall was out of the question but submission, no way Vader was going to tap out as Owen latched on tightly, using all the leverage and strength he could, leaning back the best he could and with the other arm latched Vader in the Sharpshooter Clutch. Vader again refused to tap out, the ref checking on him time and time again but Vader broke out, rising but was on dream street, Owen again trying for the finish but Vader came back strong. He dropped him down and tossed him to the corner, going for the big splash and missed, Owen catching him off the top rope with a wheel kick covering....for three.
"Ladies and Gentleman here is your winner and Number One Contender for the US Title, Owen Hart."
Owen rose his hand in victory at the 22 minute mark what a shocking upset as even Vader was surprised , offering a handshake to him and left the ring, Owen hitting each turnbuckle, raising his hands up and signaled the title belt was coming home to him.
We move to the back and there was even more commotion as both Sin Cara's were in a brawl, refs flying down to break them up as Bishoff flew down to seperate them, yelling out.
"Alright enough is enough, it's been on and off with the two of you, this Sunday, Great American Bash, there will only be ONE Sin Cara at the end of it, now get outta here."
Both of them were pulled away as Bishoff ran his hand through his hair, going back to his office to prepare for the contract signing.
"Ladies and Gentleman I am standing here with Nature Boy Ric Flair, very special visit here tonight Nature Boy many asking why you are here."
"That little man is NONE of your business but if you and the whole world wanna know then listen up. I'm here for two reasons, the first one, is to see my fellow horsemen Tully Blanchard beat CM Punk to a bloody pulp. And the second is that the Natcha Boy, stylin' and profilin' doesn't have a match at the Great American Bash, so I came down here tonight to let everyone know, that if you order the pay per view, 30 minutes before show time you are going to see a Fatal Four Way of the Ages, The Man They Call Vader, Randy Macho Man Savage, Bret Hitman Hart and yours truely, Natcha Boy Ric Flair, Wooo. You people try to stream it you don't get to see it. You, must, order, this, pay, per, view, to, see, it, Wooo."
"Speaking of the Great American Bash you're the only one we haven't heard from, your thoughts on the main event."
"Sting, a man whom I have taken in as a Horseman, have fought against time and time again, my last match in WcW, Ricky Steamboat, my greatest opponent ever, wrestled him, thousands of times, and only ONE can be undisputed heavyweight champion of this world? Well if it ain't going to be The Natch, it's going to be.......Sting."
With that we cut to ringside.

Taka and MsChif teaming up for tonight as they went up against Jeff Jarrett and ironically enough Tamina whom he was calling his new 'pet project' saying this company screwed her just like they screwed him and the match was on. While Taka was tossed around by Jarrett and teased through the match, once Taka got his stride Jarrett found himself getting beaten by a 200 lb Cruiserweight, forcing the tag out to Tamina, getting MsChif involved in the bout. MsChif was tough but overpowering Tamina was out of the question, Jarrett barking out orders, even slapping MsChif over the back of the head once which got him Mysted in the face.
MsChif was on the offensive as Jarrett came in with his Guitar, Taka tackling him to the mat but it didn't matter as Serena entered the ring, swinging a steel chair but MsChif moved out of the way, Tamina getting blasted over the skull. The ref threw the match out as Serena was dropped with a spinning headscissor to the floor, hitting the barricade in rage and sid that title was coming home to her, MsChif daring her back into the ring but Serena would flee to the back.
"Well Ladies and Gentleman talk about a stacked card for this years Great American Bash, check this out, Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara the loser must leave the gimmick forever. NWA Tag Team Titles on the line in an 11 Team Tag Team Guantlet, good luck Priceless. Speaking of Tag Teams this match announced, Chono and Mutoh face off against Koji and Gotoh, this rivalry started Post Starrcade and still is boiling over. NWA Women's Championship Serena faces off against Champion MsChif, these two do not like each other at all. Cruiserweight Title on the line, Taka Michonoku defends against Dragonkid. United States Championship Alberto Del Rio faces off agaisnt Owen Hart. And the Big One, Ricky Steamboat against The Icon Sting, Title for Title, Champion vs. Champion, it's going to be huge."

Punk vs. Tully in a steel cage with the Horsemen banned from ringside but that didn't stop Babydoll from going down, only way to win was via escape and the match was on. Tully stuck to his wrestling game, wearing Punk down as Punk kept to a striking counter game, knowing he couldn't outwrestle him, even using the cage to kick off and drp him with slams.
Tully started to turn up the pressure smashing Punk into the cage, raking his head over it and went for the door though Punk stopped him, pulling him back inside and the match continued. Punk had full control now starting to keep Tully grounded, locking in the Anaconda Vice and knocked him out, moving to the door to escape but Babydoll blocked him from doing so giving Tully plenty of time to recover and drop him with a slam.
He moved to the door but Punk pulled him by the leg, Tully blasting him with a leadpipe and now Tully began to beat the hell out of him. He used the pipe over and over again on Punk's head, choking him with it, leading him into the cage with it. Within moments Punk was a bloody mess but Tully refused to stop, hitting over the back of his head, over his back and knee, tearing off the buckle and bashed his head in, tossing the pipe away and yelled at Babydoll whom handed him a steel chain with a padlock, swinging it around some and started to use it as a flail over Punk's back.
Over and over again he would beat upon Punk with it, the ref asking if he wanted to give up as Tully dropped him with a loaded uppercut. He picked up the leadpipe and climbed to the top of the cage, waiting for Punk to rise. He came down as Punk dropkicked him in the face, the pipe smashing to his face. Tully held his face, his nose busted open as Punk grabbed the chain and wrapped it around his knee, pulling Tully up and dropped him with the GTS, moving to the door but Babydoll refused to let him out, Punk deciding to climb up and over. Tully was slowly crawling to the door, on dream street.
Punk was up and over, starting to climb down as the door was open, Tully starting to crawl towards it as Punk reached with his foot, hooking the door and slammed it hard on his face and dropped to the floor. Punk won the match and finally this went to an end, slowly pulling himself up,bloddy and all as he made his way to the back, making sure to give Babydoll a kiss on the lips first just to add more insult to injury. He didn't have a match at the Bash but this sure as hell made up for it, Tully holding his face from the pain he suffered as Nitro cut to a break.
Once we came back, Bishoff and Inoki respectively were in the ring, each of them having to sign the contract for this big match.
"Ladies and Gentleman will you all please welcome IWGP Champion Ricky Steamboat and World Heavyweight Champion, Sting."
[Play Out]
Both of them came down to the ring, placing their titles over their shoulders as each of them went over the contract, Bishoff explaining it when photographers all around the ring snapping photos.
"This match is for both IWGP and NWA World Championships. The winner will be undisputed World Heavyweight Champion. Myself and Mr. Inoki have agreed to merge the two title belt rules into one meaning the champion must defend under an open challenge clause, prior to a pay per view the champion must have seven days rest before the bout, No DQ on the floor and for only the World Title, there will be no Count Outs applied. For this match there are three provisions, Item One is this bout will have No Set Time Limit. Item two, there will be no count outs. Item three for the sake of good sportsmanship the title will only change on pinfall or submission. Both of you have gone over it, please sign."
Sting and Steamboat would sign their names on the contract, handing them over to Inoki and Bishoff whom went over them, signing their names as all four of them stood in the ring for a quick photo op, Bishoff and Inoki moving to their champion, Inoki telling Ricky he had this bout as Bishoff said Sting had this bout, competition using both champions might as well as they let the champions speak, Steamboat taking the mic first.
"Two years ago, I defeated you at Starrcade, ironic that at the same time, we became champions and took down the figurehead and leader of the NWO and now at the greatest event in this companies history, we find out just whom is the best. The Legend vs. The Icon, The Respected vs. The Loyal, Sting, goodluck, because you're going to need it."
Sting took the mic from Bishoff, staring into the eyes of Steamboat.
"This company and some of these fans may have turned their backs on me but rest assured I am the only living wrestler whom never defunted to another company. I stayed loyal to the NWA colors and I wear it's title proud. This Sunday Steamboat, it's not a wrestling match, it's not a fight, it is the resolution to all the doubts. Steamboat..goodluck...because I don't need it."
Both of them would stand nose to nose to each other, camera flares flying all over the place as these two were ready to fight right now, Inoki and Bishoff pushing them back gently not wanting it to erupt into a brawl, Sting actually cracking a smile at him as the Legend vs. The Icon II was only six days away as Nitro would fade to black.
Main Event Results
The show was centered around the Great American Bash Fan Festival that took place over the three day weekend, the Champions having a special booth for Q/A with the fans and autograph sessions, Del Rio being fashionably late and continued to bash the fans with Priceless during the session.
Fans were treated to photos as well as tale of the tapes, the cruiserweights having a section where fans could try on masks though Kidman put a stop to that in mid session, saying the evil Sin Cara was going to win the big match as Taka superkicked him out of the booth.
The Angels had a section dedicated to the history of the women's title, Serena proclaiming she was taking the title home with her and she already had a spot dedicated for her, starting to rile up fans as security had hauled her off.
There were some live matches at the showing as Ultimo Dragon defeated Justin Gabriel, Randy Savage defeated Jeff Jarrett and Bret Hart defeated the big man Vader whom took his aggressions out on Bret Post match.
The Final segment of the evening saw Steamboat and Sting shaking hands and doing a big time press conference, each saying they were going to win dispite Del Rio yelling from the back that he was going to retain The United States Championship and no one wanted to see crippled old hasbeens fight for two titles no one cares about, security pulling him off as Sting and Steamboat would stare eye to eye one more time as Main Event came to a close.
