"Ladies and Gentleman welcome to lovely Ceasars Palace, welcome Night One of NWA's G1. It's been a long while indeed and the wait is finally over as tonight we will see whom is going to the grand championships at Sin for Block A, Hello Everyone I'm Gorilla Monsoon and with me tonight, maybe it's a blessing or perhaps a curse, Jessie the Body Ventura." "You know I thought I was rid of you once and foreall but for some reason the good lord wants to punish me. Either way tonight should be jam packed with stars galore and we don't even know whom we're going to see tonight, god I can't wait." "Very good there Jessie, lets get down to ringside." "Ladies and Gentleman welcome to night one of G1. The following contests scheduled for one fall will have a ten minute time limit." [Play Out] DDP and Hakushi would start things off as the bell would ring as both of them moved around the ring, Hakushi keeping him back with his feet as DDP locked up, being the stronger of the two and pushed him to the corner, breaking. Page went for a punch though Hakushi ducked and kept him in the corner, punching and kicking at him with fast combinations, hitting the middle rope and started to slug over his head. He came down with a double axe then an armdrag, locking in a sit down armwrench, holding it in. Page slowly rose to his feet and tossed him off, ducking for a backbody drop though Hakushi flipped over, bouncing off the rope and caught him with a stiff dropkick to the face, charging in though Page dropped him with a clothesline, picking him up and connected with a suplex, then a bodyslam then clotheslined him out of the ring. He rose his hands up with a 'BANG' as Hakushi rolled back inside, locking up and got behind him, Page blocking and got behind him, raising him up for a german though Hakushi blocked and rolled forward, tossing him off, hitting the ropes and connected with a spring board flying elbow then a hard kick to his chest, locking in a front face lock. Page would suplex him over, hitting the rope and tackled him with a flying clothesline then a running dropkick, tossing him hard to the ropes and caught him with a death valley driver, pulling to his feet and dropped him with a ddt, going for the cover though was kicked in the head, Hakushi springing to his feet, hitting the rope, ducking a clothesline and hit a handstand backspring elbow, rolling to his feet and dropkicked the knee, hitting the rope again with a kick. Page ducked and rolled, quickly getting to his feet and caught him on the rebound with a powerslam, covering only for two. Page rose up having to work fast as dragged him up, locking him in for a double underhook suplex, pulling him up though Hakushi countered with a hurricanrana, leaping off of the rope with a straight kick to the chest, grabbing him with a chicken wing suplex with a bridge only for two. Both men rose, Hakushi coming in with a spin kick as Page ducked, slugging over the head to the ropes and tossed him though pulled him right back for a clothesline. Hakushi ducked and slid underneath, springboarding off of the rope with a wheel kick as Page ducked, catching him from behind and locked in a full nelson. Hakushi jumped, using his feet to kick off the rope and spin his body, tossing Page off, coming at him full speed with a cartwheel cross body though Page held on quickly countering with a fallaway slam. He rose up, moving to the apron as Hakushi pulled himself up, nearly getting suplexed the hard way but blocked with a knee to the head, quickly moving to the top rope and leapt with a missile drop kick as DDP caught the feet and quickly would slingshot him across the ring, Hakushi hitting the mat. Page rose up, going after Hakushi whom kicked him in the gut, hitting the rope and would slingshot with a corkscrew senton though Page quickly countered RIGHT into the Diamond Cutter. Holy crap it was just that fast, going for the pin though Hakushi's foot caught the rope, Page slowly pulling him him out of the way and went for the pin but quickly Hakushi would lock him in the Koji Clutch, wrapping his legs around his neck and wrenching on the arm. Page would try to fight out of it but Hakushi had it locked in nice and tight, squeezing the air out of him as the ref would lean over, not even checking the arm and would ring the bell. Page was out cold as Hakushi would advance to the next round, emotionless and cold as he would start to head up the ramp leaving Page in the ring, refs quickly attending to him as they had to move fast for the next match. [Play Out] This time it appeared to be Cody Rhodes squaring off against Ted DiBiase Sr. as he would move around the ring some, having the speed on his side, DiBiase the technique. They went to lock up but the hold broke, DiBiase mocking him as Rhodes would hit him with a stiff jab to the face, ducking a punch then started to jab along him, hitting the rope and slid under a clothesline, connecting with a standing dropkick then a drop toe hold, locking in a hammerlock. DiBiase got to his feet, reversing it though Rhodes would counter by rolling forward, ducking a clothesline and dropped him with a spinning neck breaker. He rose and hit the ropes, coming at him with a cross body and covered for two. He rose and stomped at him, dragging him to his feet though DiBiase tackled him to the corner, ramming his shoulders into his ribs, pulling back for a fifth as Rhodes sprang up and over, hitting a sunset flip for two. Both rose as Rhodes dropped him with two armdrags and went for a dropkick though Ted moved aside, locking in a sleeper. Rhodes fought to his feet, breaking out with his elbows and hit the ropes, missing a crossbody and rolled to the floor. DiBiase obviously the smarter of the two as he moved to the floor, ramming Cody into the steps then the barricade, tossing him into the ring, slamming him down and came down with three DiBiase fists, hooking the leg for two. He rose and tossed Cody to the corner, ramming his knee into him then climbed up, hitting ten solid punches over his head then placed him on the top, climbing up slow and came down with a superplex, covering again for two. DiBiase would grab him from behind, trying to lift him up though Rhodes would block, getting behind him trying to roll him up but DiBiase blocked, locking in a full nelson. Rhodes would kick off the rope and flipped back able to pin Ted's shoulders to the mat..only for two. Both men rose as Cody took a stiff punch to the face getting knocked to the ropes, DiBiase tossing him as Rhodes countered with a sunset flip only for two. They rose again as Cody came off the rope with a springboard kick though Ted ducked, quickly locking in the Million Dollar Dream though Rhodes had it scouted, hitting him with a mule kick since the refs position was perfect, quickly pulling him in for a small package, hooking the tights...for three. Rhodes quickly rolled out of the ring, smirking as he was able to outsmart DiBiase whom hit the mat in rage, arguing with the ref about the tights but you can't call what you can't see as Rhodes would head to the back. [Play Out] What a stroke of bad luck as The Patriot was locked in the eyes of Arn Anderson as the bell sounded, both men moving around the ring, locking up as Arn was the stronger of the two. Patriot would tackle him down by grabbing the legs, slugging to his head and rolled off, coming at him with a flying shoulder block then another one, knocking Arn to the floor. Patriot moved quick as he would suicide dive through the ropes, tackling him into the barricade then rolled back into the ring. Arn would take a standing six count before coming into the ring, locking up but was taken down with a fireman's carry then an overthe shoulder takedown, Patriot locking in a sitdown armwrench. Arn hit the mat, frustrated as the hold was broken, Patriot taking him down with an armdrag, hitting the rope and connected with a dropkick, running at him again with a running tackle though Arn blocked, picking him up with his brute strength and slammed him down with a vicious powerbomb. Arn would call him up, kicking at him some as Patriot pulled himself to his feet, Arn picking him up from behind and dropped him with a spinning back suplex, coming off the rope and came down with a knee over the face, locking in a headlock. Arn pulled him to his feet and would toss him hard, watching him hit the mat then clotheslined over the top to the apron. He pulled him up adn went to ram him into the steel post though Patriot blocked, ramming Arn into the turnbuckle and quickly climbed the top rope, coming down with a missile dropkick, rising up and slugged over his head, tossing him to the ropes though Arn countered with an irish whip, tossing Patriot with a backbody drop though he landedon his feet, waiting and kicked Arn in the gut, locking in a double underhook suplex with a bridge only for two. Arn would yell out as he was jackknifed over, his legs and belly in pain as Patriot held it tightly, keeping his feet away from his hands. Arn would yell a bit as his weight was a bit much, Patriot letting go and prepared to end the game, coming at him with a spear though Arn would then counter right into a Spinebuster right in the center of the ring, covering...for 3. Arn would raise his hand in victory only for a moment, rolling out of the ring after shaking his head but did dodge a bullet on that one, heading to the back as Patriot needed help out. [Play Out] Oh now it was going to get good as Benoit and Mr. Perfect moved to the center of the ring, talking trash already. They would lock up, each of them jocking for position though neither man broke their stride. Benoit came in with a kick, trying for a suplex though Perfect blocked and caught him with him, charging in with a clothesline as Benoit ducked, catching a school boy for two. They locked up again, Perfect tossing him to the ropes though Benoit ducked the clothesline, coming for one himself as Perfect backbodydropped him but Benoit countered with a sunset flip, Perfect rolling out and did a standing dropkick, Benoit grabbed the legs and quickly turned that into a figure four. Perfect grabbed the rope, both men rising as Benoit dropped him with an armdrag though Perfect fought out, locking in an armwrench as Benoit rolled and fought out, countering with an armwrench himself. Perfect would then fight out of it, tossing Benoit to the ropes then chased after him, bouncing off the rope a few seconds afterwards and caught Benoit with a sunset flip bulldog, locking in a headlock. Benoit fought to his feet, pushing him off and slapped over his chest. Perfect would then slap back as Benoit fought back with a chop, then Perfect, then Benoit, then Perfect, then Benoit, then Perfect kicked him in the gut, dropping him with a suplex then went for a sleeper. Benoit used his knee to fight out then would headbutt him to the corner, starting to chop the shit out of Perfect. He went for perhaps the 11th one but Perfect kicked him in the face, hitting the middle rope and came down with a double axe though Benoit countered with a belly to belly suplex. He watched him rise and caught him with a german suplex, then another, and another then finished him off with a climb up ensiguri, moving to the top rope and leap with the headbutt and caught the mat as Perfect moved out of the way. He rose up, dropping Benoit with a release back suplex, dragging him to his feet and bashed his head into the turnbuckle, placing him on top then placed him in the tree of woe position, backing up and dropped him down with a dropkick to the face. Perfect would then place him back on top, climbing up and came down with a super reverse suplex, quickly covering Benoit only for two. Perfect pulled him up though took a jaw jacker, falling back as Benoit came in with several more chops to the chest then a headbutt, tossing him to the ropes though Perfect irish whipped him back then hit a knee to the gut, picking Benoit up for a powerbomb though he countered with a hurricanrana only for two. Both men rose as Benoit caught him with a suplex, then a second, then a third, trying for a quick snap DDT though Perfect countered with a northern light suplex only for two. Damn that was close as they rose as Benoit grabbed the leg for a jackknife pin for two, Perfect with another small package for two, Benoit coming back and caught a german suplex for two, Perfect quickly locking in a ministrol cradle for two then Benoit a roll up for two. "One Minute remains" The fans went nuts with just 60 seconds to go as they would lock up again, Benoit dropping and flipped him over, hitting the rope though Perfect caught him with a powerslam that Benoit quickly countered into the crossface, almost having it locked in as Perfect fought out, rolling his body and caught him with a dropkick. "45 Seconds." Perfect moved fast for a pin though Benoit swept the leg, tying again for the sharpshooter though Perfect fought out, both of them hitting the ropes, Perfect baseball sliding right into the knee, going for a pin though Benoit caught him with a fujiawa armbar. "15 Seconds." Perfect quickly moved for an oklahoma roll though Benoit blocked it, rising to his feet and quickly locked him in for the sharpshooter but then flipped over with a pin, 1.....2....3! Wow what a counter that was as Benoit rose to his feet with just seconds left on the clock, turning around and would shake the hand of Mr. Perfect, they would rematch that was for sure as both of them left the ring on their own valition. [Play Out] La Parka up against Mr. G1 the odds on favorite to win this match as Parka would walk up to him, offering a handshake as Chono would just look at him, reaching to shake it as Parka just slapped him over the face, doing a little strut as Chono would jump him, tackling him down and started a flurry of punches over his face, literally beating the mexican out of him, dragging him to his feet and rammed him shoulder first into the steel post then flung him hard to the ropes and dropped him with the dambest powerslam god ever heard. He picked him up and bashed his head into the turnbuckle then placed him on top, dropping him with a super release german suplex then finished him off with a Yakuza kick, covering....for 3. Dragon rose and started to kick along him, Saturn blocking the best he could, taking a kick right to the face, knocked to the corner as Dragon rushed in with a dropkick but missed. Saturn quickly locked in a spinning leglock, wrenching on it. Dragon would crawl back, using his free foot to kick over his head, springing to his feet and took him down with a headlock takedown, wrenching on the head. Saturn broke out of the hold, tossing him to the rope and caught him with an inverted atomic drop then a standing dropkick, clotheslining him out of the ring. That was a bit vicious even for him as he tossed him back into the ring, climbing the top rope as Saturn held his back in pain and was dropped with a dropkick, Dragon then stomping and working to the back, Saturn trying to keep away. He pulled him up though Perry fought back with a stiff uppercut then a headbutt, slamming him down and came down with an elbow though missed as Dragon moved away, quickly locking in a triangle choke. Keiji rose dragging Malenko to his feet then hit a headbutt, moving him to the corner then chopped to his chest a few times, sliding out of the ring and would trip Dean, moving him to the turnbuckle and would lock in an inverted figurefour using the post. Dean tried to pull away but he was on his belly, Mutoh doing damage to the knee as he let go at the count of five, rolling back in the ring at seven. Dean tried crawling up though Mutoh stomped at the knee, having a plan in mind, working at both of his knees, Dean fighting out, trying to rise to his feet though Keiji would sweep at the knee to keep him down, locking in a spinning leg lock. Malenko would fight out with his free leg, rising up as Mutoh would kick at both of his knees, Malenko quickly countering with a standing insiguri, kicking him to the ropes and locked in a waistlock then a german suplex though his knees locked up, unable to hold it. Keiji rolled up, dropping Dean with an armdrag then slammed both of his knees into the mat. He rose up slow and dragged him to the rope, placing his leg over and dropped a few elbows, rising up and went to sit on it though Malenko kicked him out of the ring. Keiji hit the apron, pulling himself up as Dean grabbed him, trying for a suplex though Keiji blocked and would suplex him to the floor, hanging onto the apron then came down with a double axe. He pulled Malenko to his feet and dropped him on his knees right upon the steel stairs, rolling into the ring as the ref continued the count. Malenko would refuse to give in, just able to get into the ring at the count of nine, rising to a knee and took the shining wizard right in the face, Keiji covering for three. Keiji would roll out of the ring after raising his hand, having a plan in mind as he was able to outsmart Malenko on that one, heading to the back as Dean hobbled his way back. [Play Out] It was the final match in round one and it was Ricky Steamboat against Riki Chosyu. This wasn't going to be easy as he would start with a few chops to his chest to no effect. He would then try a clothesline but Riki just stood there with a grin. Steamboat came at him with a dropkick but again, nothing. Steamboat then went for a punch but it was knocked away as Chosyu hit him with a headbutt then clotheslined him down. He continued dropping elbows over him, pulling him up and tossed Steamboat to the ropes, ducking for a backbody drop. Steamboat would leap over him, springboarding off the rope and connected with a chop over the head, the big man was wobbly. Ricky went to bodyslam him but he was knocked down and kicked to the corner, quickly avoiding a bit splash and locked in a sleeper, wrapping the legs around. Chosyu would walk with him, slamming him into the turnbuckle a few times, Steamboat letting go but hit the rope and came down with a bulldog, or at least tried as Chosyu stood his ground. Ricky fought back with a stiff kick to the face and came down with a cross body though it was countered right into a powerslam, covering for two. Chosyu dragged him up and would suplex him, holding him in the air like it was nothing then came down forward, Steamboat landing on his front then forced back up being rammed to the corner. Chosyu would ram his shoulders into his stomach then placed him back ontop, climbing up and would drop Steamboat with a super double underhook suplex, crashing down hard. Chosyu would cover for two, picking him up by the throat and tossed him with force to the corner then splashed upon Ricky with a running clothesline. He would fling him hard to the other corner but pulled him back and went for a short arm clothesline though Steamboat ducked and quickly locked in a crucifix armbar, wrenching tight upon him. Chosyu would grunt a bit, able to fight out and dropped Ricky with a schwien, covering him for two. He dragged him back up, tossing Steamboat to the ropes and rose a boot though Ricky quickly caught it and caught an insiguri, cracking it over the back of his head, Chosyu still not falling. Steamboat would try chopping and punching at him but still no avail, having enough as he would dropkick him then kicked to the knee, ducking a punch and went for a backsuplex, Chosyu blocking with a Russian LegSweep. He rose up and grabbed at the knee, twisting and spinning it. He kept that applied for a little bit, refusing to let go as Steamboat kicked himself free, rising to his feet and was chopblocked back down as Chosyu dropped heavy elbows and knees over his leg, trying for a figure four though Steamboat kicked him free, rising up as Chosyu went for a leg tackle, however missing. Steamboat grabbed a hold of him from behind though he was flipped over upon his back then hit with a legdrop, Chosyu rising up and signaled he was about to end it, dragging him up and hit three belly to belly suplexes then called him up, bouncing off the rope and came like a freight train, leaping with the Riki Lariat though in an act of god Steamboat caught him and hit a flapjack right upon the turnbuckle. Choshu was still dazed a bit as Steamboat quickly climbed the top rope and leapt with a flying chop, connecting over his head as slowly...Choshu fell upon the mat. Finally he got the big man down but he only had a few minutes left, watching him rise then chopped to his chest, leaping off the rope with a flying clothesline, knocking him down again as he rose, getting behind him and caught him with a german suplex, getting the momentum as he came off the rope with a cross body block, rolling to his feet and kicked over his head, watching him rise and locked in for a DDT though Chosyu countered with a spinebuster, backing away and ran full speed, trying for the lariat again though Steamboat dodged, Chosyu hitting the rope as Ricky quickly caught him with a japenesse rolling clutch with a bridge....for three! Thank god he was able to pull that off, rolling out of the ring and held his leg some, rubbing it as he would limp to the back, Chosyu dejected and swore, walking up soon after as G1 went to a quick five minute break before coming back to ringside.

Benoit laid on the floor as the ref was forced to count as Dragon rolled after him, picking him up and tossed him into the barricade then followed up with a dropkick, the camera catching that Benoit was cut over the head. Dragon then would slug to his head and bashed it into the post, rolling him in at the count of 13, springboarding off the rope and dropped him with a dropkick, climbing the top rope and came down with a moonsault, covering for two. Slowly he dragged him up, hitting a headbutt then a kick to the gut, laying him over the middle rope and ran, standing on Benoit's back then leapt over with a handstand falling legdrop over the back of his neck then dropped him with a springboard snap DDT, covering again only for two. Dragon pulled him up with a headlock, squeezing the life out of him, wrenching on the head. Benoit fought to his feet, breaking out with his elbow and hit the rope though Dragon caught him with a capture falcon arrow, stomping at the head and rolled him over, rubbing it along the mat then locked him in a dragon clutch, scissoring the legs around the throat and pulled the arms back with his hands. Benoit refused to give up, blood trickling down his head as he would fight the best he could. Dragon had it locked in tightly, having his hands clutched as Benoit used his strength to get one hand free and got his neck free, rolling to his back and kicked him off. Dragon came in though Benoit surprised him with a leaping cross body block, quickly covering for two. Benoit rose steady, shaking his head but was dropped with a release dragon suplex then hit with a baseball slide in the ribs, Benoit rolling to the floor. Dragon bounced off of the rope and hit a spaceman running tiger sault, splashing down upon Benoit with a loud ovation. Dragon rose up, kicking along his body and connected with one to the face, climbing the apron and would wait, calling him up, leaping with a senton though Benoit caught him and quickly alley ooped him right into the steel stairs. Both of them rose and entered the ring though Benoit struck first with some hard kicks, pushing him to the corner and tossed him to the other, chasing after him as Dragon would moonsault off, catching Benoit on the way back, covering for two. Now he dragged him up, placing him upon his shoulders then would twist him with a powerful sit down powerbomb, rolling to his feet and hit Benoit in the face with a running kick, getting behind him and applied the Dragon Sleeper. Benoit was no stranger to this hold, using his foot to break out of it, cracking it over Dragon's head and rose up, ducking a kick and dropped him with a capture suplex. Benoit rose and went after him, locking him in for a front face lock but then turned it into a double underhook suplex, grappling from behind and hit a german, then another, and then the third releasing though Dragon flipped to his feet and would hit a reverse springboard off of the rope, rolling and leap catching Benoit with a hurricanrana covering for two. Holy crap that was close as Dragon shook his head, knowing this was going to but tough but Benoit refused as he dragged him up, setting him up for a TigerDriver though Benoit quickly countered that into a Hurricanrana, rolling to his feet and charged in, dropping him with a cross body block, a back suplex, a spinning back suplex and then a brainbuster, crossing his throat as he climbed the top rope, poising himself though Dragon quickly rose, hitting the turnbuckle and caught him with a super hurricanrana though the momentum must have been too much as Benoit countered with a sunset flip powerbomb, both men hitting the mat to a huge roar. Benoit was the first to his feet, a bit woozy from the blood loss and pulled Dragon to his feet, picking him up for a brainbuster though Dragon blocked with his knee, coming down and kicked Benoit in the gut, dropping him with a pile driver then pulled him back up, tossing him to the ropes and caught him with a titlawhirl pile driver, covering for two. He hit the mat in frustration a bit, rising as Benoit grabbed the arm and nearly locked in the crossface though Dragon rolled out and connected with a kick right to his face, hitting the top rope and saulted with an asai moonsault but missed as Benoit moved out of the way, picking him up and would capture three more german suplexes, the last one he released as he climbed the top rope and leapt with the flying headbutt, crashing skull first into Dragon and covered....for 2! Benoit rose to his feet, trying for a sharpshooter though Dragon pulled him in for a small package for two, rising up went for another kick over the head though Benoit blocked with his arm, countering with a gutwrench suplex but was rammed to the corner, Dragon punching at the head, opening him up a bit more as Benoit pushed him back, holding his head in pain as Dragon would springboard off the rope with a crecent kick but it was a plot as Benoit caught him and quickly locked in the sharpshooter. Holy crap that was fast as Dragon would swear in Japanesse, reaching for the rope as Benoit tried to sit down to apply the lock, his face just covered in blood and he yelled out in rage though Dragon was able to twist his body, breaking out of the hold. He rubbed his leg and rose as Benoit charged in but was flapjacked right into the turnbuckle, falling back and held his face in pain as Dragon signaled that it was over as he would kick along Benoit's body, connecting with the last to his face, making him unsteady as he would then lock his head, leaping for the Asai DDT and on the way down Benoit grabbed his arm and forced him down, locking in the crossface. Dragon was stuck in the middle of the ring as Benoit latched it on tightly, refusing to let go, blood staining his face as his eyes screamed out for a victory as Dragon would roll but Benoit kept it locked in. Dragon would flail with his feet, reaching for the rope and rolled again though Benoit held on it not latching on tighter as Dragon rose his hand and tapped out! Benoit would let go of the hold, raising his arm up in victory as he wiped the blood from his head, heading out of the ring for medical attention for sure as Dragon hit the mat dejected, there was always next year. [Play Out] Cody Rhodes against Keiji Mutoh, well this was going to be a test for sure as he actually took this seriously, locking up with him but was pushed hard to the corner as Keiji charged in with a running knee, tossing him to the other corner though Rhodes blocked with his foot and stopped him with a back elbow then knocked him in the face with a leapfrog crecent kick, kicking him in the gut and actually went for a...Pedigree though Mutoh suplexed him over then dropped him with a climb up armbar, Rhodes yelling out "Oh my god that hurts." as he fought. Rhodes struggled to his feet, pushing Mutoh off and came in with a clothesline though was dropped with a neckbreaker as Mutoh rose, dropping him with a droptoe hold, rising as Rhodes charged in again and was lowbridged to the floor below. He hit the mat some in frustration and slid back in, pushing to his chest as Keiji pushed back, Rhodes connecting with a hard slap to the face, Keiji countering with a spin kick over the face, sending Rhodes back to the floor with a roll. Rhodes rose up, holding his cheek a bit and moved back into the ring, a bit stumbled as Keiji dropped him with a headlock takedown then a release belly to back suplex, Rhodes staggering to his feet as Mutoh caught him with a running leg lariat, hitting him to the corner and charged in though Cody ducked a clothesline and rolled him up for two. He rose and dropped him with a spinning neck breaker then went for a springboard crecent kick though Mutoh ducked, hitting a springboard backspring elbow right to his face, rolling up and started to kick along his body, finishing him with a dropsault to the chest. Rhodes came off the rope, sliding under Mutoh's legs and was at the apron, hitting a rope guillotine then climbed the top rope, coming down with a double ax and finished him with a bodyslam. Rhodes came at him with a cross body though Mutoh hit the canvas as Rhodes missed and rolled to the floor. He rose up slowly though Mutoh hit him with a baseball slide right into the barricade, climbing out and started to chop over his chest, tossing him back inside. Mutoh rolled inside and would dropkick the knee then started kicking along it, Rhodes trying to avoid it as Mutoh charged in with a high knee to the face, moving him to the corner and slugged over his head, placing him on the top rope though Rhodes fought back, punching to his head and kicked him off, gaining his balance and leapt with a bionic elbow over Mutoh's head. Rhodes then slammed him down with a suplex then clotheslined him out of the ring to the apron. Cody would grab him and suplex him into the ring though Mutoh countered by flipping over and caught him with a german suplex for two. Keiji rose up and kicked along his ribs and knees, coming off the rope with a flying elbow then caught him with a release falcon arrow then kicked him hard over the back of the head, climbing the rope and waited. Keiji came down with a dropkick as Rhodes dodged, punching him over the head, jab, jab, jab then he did the dusty dance and finished him with the bionic elbow, tossing him to the ropes and dropped him with a powerslam, bouncing off the rope and dropped a kneedrop over the head. Rhodes sprang and grappled trying for Cross Rhodes though Mutoh pushed him off, ducking a haymaker and dropped him with a release sambo suplex then a dropsault, Rhodes falling to the apron. Keiji would grab him, trying for a suplex inside though Rhodes countered by landing on his feet and locked in a school boy only for two but that was close. Rhodes caught him with a back suplex, climbing the middle rope and came down with a double ax, bouncing off the rope and tried a crossbody block though Keiji caught him and quickly countered it into a powerslam, rising up slow. Keiji pulled him up though Rhodes fought back with a hard uppercut, knocking him to the corner and charged in though Mutoh caught him and tossed him up. Rhodes caught his balance and leapt with a moonsault though Keiji countered with a dropkick to the gut, Rhodes landing hard and held his stomach. Keiji rose up, stomping at him a bit and pulled him up, tossing him hard to the ropes and would drop him with a release flapjack then finished him up with a release german suplex, kicking at the knee and ran for the shining wizard and leapt, though Rhodes ducked and rolled away, ducking a punch from Keiji and quickly grabbed him, hitting him with The Cross Rhodes, going for the cover....NO only two. That was too close to call as Cody would look to the rope, slowly starting to climb it and would leap with a moonsault again though Keiji rolled aside. Rhodes slammed hard upon his stomach and then was dropped with the Shining Wizard as Keiji covered him...for three. Mutoh would advance to the next round as he rose his hand up and rolled out of the ring, Cody dejected but there was always next year as he rolled out of the ring. [Play Out] Down the ring came two of the stiffest workers in the NWA, Masahiro Chono and Arn Anderson. Both of them met in the center of the ring, having bad blood due to the locker room war indeed. They would just stare at each other as the fists would start to fly. Arn would win the exchange, hitting him to the ropes though Chono fought out with a stiff uppercut then a headbutt, tossing him to the corner though Arn countered with a irish whip. Chono bounced off the ropes as both of them collided. They would push at each other, eventually going back to a fist fight as Chono kicked him in the gut, ramming his head into the turnbuckle and would blast him with haymakers. Chono came in with a running boot as Arn moved aside, Chono straddleing the rope as Arn pulled at the other leg, forcing Chono to split and hit the mat. Arn rolled back inside and did a wishbone, splitting the legs then kicked Chono down, hitting the rope and came down with an elbow over the throat, pulling Chono up and tossed him out of the ring, wiping his hands clean. Chono would climb the apron though Arn pulled him in hardway with a suplex, coming off the rope with a hard clothesline over the throat, locking in a spinning leg lock.Chono would fight out of it as Arn came in, tackling him to the corner and rammed his shoulder into his ribs then started to slug over his head, placing him on top and dropped him with a superplex, covering for two. Arn dragged him up and slammed him down, coming off the rope with a Ric Flair knee to the face, dragging him back up and tossed him to the rope, catching him with a backbody drop then another clothesline out of the ring. Arn would just look down at him as Chono sprang, grabbing him by the ankle and dragged him to the floor then rammed him into the apron. Chono then pulled him up and tossed him hard into the barricade then the post then nearly kicked his head off, hitting the post with his foot as Arn tossed him into the stairs. He got in a few cheap shots then tossed him back into the ring, going to work on that bad ankle by locking in an ankle lock, Chono kicking him off with a free foot. Arn charged back in but was hit with a drop toe hold as Chono quickly locked in the STS. It bought him some time as he rolled off, hobbling a bit on the ankle as he went after Arn whom did a hammer punch right to the ankle, rising up and dropped him with a release northern light suplex. Arn watched him crawl up and hit a chopblock to the knee, stomping at the ankle though Chono with his free foot connected with a hard kick right over Arn's face. It gave him a chance to rise up as he slammed Anderson into the turnbuckle face first, turning him around and kicked to his gut a few times, placing him on top and dropped him with a release double underhook suplex, covering for two. Chono wasted no time on punching to his head to keep him down, rising up and connected with hard shots to the face with his knees, hitting him with a big boot then a german suplex for two. Chono rose up and tossed Arn to the ropes, missing a clothesline as Arn flew with a shoulder tackle right to the face, rising up and went for a figure four though Chono kicked him off. Arn came at him him with a dropkick, kicking him to the ropes and rushed in, both of them going up and over to the floor. Both of them rose, chopping to each other until Arn stomped at the ankle, tossing Chono into the ring and would climb the top rope, coming down with a doubleaxe but took a hard kick right in the face, Chono yelling out since that was his bad foot he kicked with. Slowly he rose though Arn surprised him with a tackle, punching to his head viciously then would quickly lock in a figure four. Chono would swear out, sitting up and would drag himself to the rope, grabbing a rope as Arn let go. The damage was done as Arn dragged him back to the center of the ring, pulling him up and set him up for the spinebuster though Chono blocked with a hit to the back, countering with a powerbomb. He staggered to his feet, poising himself and waited, coming in for the Yakuzakick though Arn moved out of the way, dropping him with a sidewalk slam, coming off the rope hard but missed the elbow. Both men rose as Chono was quicker, grabbing the tights and sent Arn flying to the floor to buy him some time. He rose slowly, bouncing off the rope and would suicide dive to the floor, crashing upon Arn whom broke his nose. Chono rose with a grin, punching at the face of a bloody Anderson, tossing him into the ring, getting half way in as Arn kicked the middle rope right into Chono's crotch, watching him drop like a stone. Arn rubbed his nose a bit, blood coming down as he dragged Chono up with a headbutt, dropping him with a DDT and signaled he was going to end this, hitting him with a release back suplex, watching him roll up and hobble then came in with a burning clothesline, stomping to his head as decked Chono with the stiffest haymaker over the head, tossing him to the ropes and ducked as Chono countered with a sunset flip, coming off the rope with a Yakuzakick though Arn countered with a capture spinebuster but Chono countered that RIGHT into a spiked DDT, covering...for three. Chono would roll out of the ring, yelling some about his ankle but would start to head to the back, grinning a bit towards Arn Anderson, knowing he was just two victories away from reaching the grand championship, things were looking good for Chono thus far. [Play Out] The final match in Round 2 and it was Hakushi against Rick Steamboat whom slightly favored his knee. They went to lock up though Hakushi kicked at the leg and knee, getting him down a bit then would lock up, ramming his knees into his face, locking in a front face lock while also locking the arms overhead. He held him there for a moment or two, tossing him to the ropes then caught Ricky with a dropkick, quickly locking in a spinning leg lock, working on that knee of his. Ricky would grab the rope as Hakushi let go, hitting him with a running knee down to the floor. He would sault over the ropes with a plauncha, crashing down below. Hakushi was the first one up, kicking along Steamboat then tossed him into the ring, climbing the apron and waited, leaping over the rope with a dropkick then would literally hold onto the rope and springboarded off with a moonsault covering for two. Hakushi rose, continuing to kick at that knee, slamming it a few times against the mat, watching him rise then dropkicked the knee right out of him. Hakushi heard the jeers and dropped a few knees over his leg, keeping him down as he wrapped it around the rope and started to twist, the ref counting to five as he let go, Ricky pulling away trying to get to his feet. He was kicked down then placed in a side headlock, Hakushi trying to wear him down as Steamboat fought out with a headscissor. Finally he got to a vertical base and took Hakushi down with an armdrag, then another, then another, chopping over his chest to the ropes. Steamboat tossed him to the ropes though Hakushi countered with an irish whip, Steamboat countering with a crossbody and hooked the leg for two. Ricky rose up and grabbed him by the head, leaping for a bulldog though he was pushed off, smacking off the rope as Hakushi caught him with a backelbow, rolling to his feet and went for a kick to the jaw. Ricky was able to grab a hold of the leg though took an insiguri to the back of the head and covered for two. Hakushi rose up, watching him rise and went for a dragon suplex though Ricky blocked, using his foot to kick off the rope and flip behind him and countered with a reverse ddt. Ricky rose up then caught him with a bulldog then a dropkick, coming him with a rush as Hakushi flipped him out of the ring. Steamboat held on, leaping over the rope and connected with his flying chop, rolling up and tackled him with another cross body. Rising to his feet he dropped him with an atomic drop then a snap suplex, clotheslining him out of the ring. Hakushi staggered a bit, rolling into the ring as they would lock up, Ricky getting behind him though Hakushi did a reverse handstand snapmare then kicked to his spine then went for a kick to the face though Ricky ducked and quickly grabbed the ankle, going for an anklelock but was kicked off. Both of them came at each oher as Hakushi went for a clothesline, Ricky ducked with a backslide for two. They rose as Hakushi spun with a kick though Ricky caught it and would sweep the other leg, going for a Scorpion Deathlock but was pulled into a small package for two. They rose again as Hakushi caught him with a Tigerkick, knocking him loopy then went for a northernlight as Ricky slid out countering right into a german suplex for two. They rose again, Hakushi sweeping the leg and did a standing moonsault though Ricky held the knees up to block as Hakushi countered right into a figure four. Steamboat yelled out, not wanting to be in this move as his knee was killing him, crawling towards the ropes though Hakushi had the weight advantage, telling him to quit. Ricky would fight the best he could, slowly turning his body and was able to counter it, holding him in the hold for a moment as they both rolled to the rope, the ref forcing the hold to break. Ricky stumbled up as he was dropkicked right in the knee and fell flat as Hakushi would then quickly apply the Koji Clutch, wrapping his legs around knowing on one bad leg Ricky couldn't push himself free. Ricky would struggle though his energy was depleating quickly in this hold, using his good leg to start and push himself closer and closer to the ropes. Hakushi squeezed tighter as Steamboat's face was turning a dark shade of red, raising his hand to tap as he started to use it to crawl if he had to, able to push himself and roll over, Hakushi's shoulders firmly on the mat, 1...2...NO so close as he quickly let go of the hold. The damage was done as he rose up, dragging Ricky to his feet and hit him with hard shots to the face, pushing him against the corner and climbed, looking for a double underhook tornado ddt, leaping though Steamboat pushed him off. He charged in as Hakushi countered with a Straight Kick though Ricky slid under him, climbing up and hit a victory roll for two. Both of them rose up as Hakushi went for another kick as Ricky caught the leg going for an ankle lock. Hakushi countered with an insiguri though Ricky ducked as Hakushi came back with a mule kick as Ricky avoided that, locking in a halfjackknife pin..for two. Both of them rose again as Hakushi caught him this time with a straight kick to the face, quickly climbing the top rope and came down with a bodysplash and connected, covering for two. Too close to call as he dragged Ricky up, kicking right at the knee and the gut, setting him up for a powerbomb, picking him up and came down as Ricky quickly slid out and countered that right into a cutter, rolling to his feet and called him up, getting a head of steam. He rose as Steamboat blasted him with several shots across the chest, tossing him to the ropes and connected with a powerslam, rolling to his feet and climbed the top rope, rubbing his leg and poised, leaping for the flying chop though Hakushi quickly leapt and turned it into a spinning fujiawa armbar, slamming down hard upon the mat. What a counter that was as Ricky was in pain, trying to fight out of it the best he could, Hakushi letting go then started to kick along his body, setting him up in the corner and hit a charthwheel back elbow, climbing the top rope and leapt with a moonsault, splashing down...1...2...OOH that was way too close to call there as he rose up, angry at the ref and waited. He charged in at Ricky with a spinning cresent kick though he ducked, grabbing him from behind though Hakushi countered with slicedbread from the corner and it would have worked if Ricky hadn't pushed him off just in time, charging in for a spinning headscissor though Hakushi countered getting him upon his shoulders for an electric chair though Ricky countered that into a japanesse rolling clutch...for three. Wow that was a close call but Ricky was awarded the winner as he panted out, holding his knee a bit in pain and shook his head, two down, two more to go, but only one more for the night as he rolled out of the ring, Hakushi dejected and angry as he stormed out of the ring. "Well what a tournament we've had thus far ladies and gentleman, only four men remain as we only have two matches left tonight, Ricky Steamboat, Chris Benoit, Masahiro Chono and Keiji Mutoh, only two of them will advance to Sin where they will battle it out then go to the grand championships, any thoughts Jess?" "First things first Gorilla I think right now Keiji is the only one not injured, Ricky has a bad knee, Chono's ankle hurts and Benoit is actually going to wrestle his last match of the night win lose or draw with 16 stitches in his head. If anything he has the advantage." "Also lets not forget about night 2 of G1 that will feature such stars as Ric Flair, Sting, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, John Morrison and lets not forget John Cena and that just might be Cena's last stand in the NWA." "Well I hate to see him go but if John does win G1 that means he still has a job but if you want my opinion out of that whole bunch I see Ric Flair taking it and out of these remaining two, I see, honestly, Rick Steamboat." "So you're saying Steamboat and Flair in the Grand finals? That sounds like a match to witness Jess, as for me I'm going to go the opposit way and say based upon whom we know that is still in it, I see John Morrison against Ricky Steamboat in the Grand Finals to be honest or perhaps we'll see Steamboat against Sting one more time at Sin." "The rematch from Starrcade at Sin, well you just might be right Gorilla." "Ladies and gentleman break time is over and it's time for the final two matches of Night One lets take it down to ringside." "Ladies and Gentleman, the following contests are the final Two matches of the evening with the winners going to Sin to face off in the Grand Championships for a shot at the Vacant NWA World Heavyweight Championship and they have a 30 minute time limit."

Oh wow it was Masahiro Chono against Chris Benoit, this was going to be good as they went nose to nose. Benoit started with a headbutt, chopping to Chono to the corner, chopping and chopping and chopping away then started to kick to his ribs then hammerblows to his back, tossing him right back into the corner then started to punch over his head, going crazy on him. He pulled back and dropped Chono with a snap suplex, then a gutwrench suplex, clotheslining him out of the ring. Chono smacked into the announcers table some as Benoit would fly through the rope with a suicide dive, tackling Chono nearly breaking the table. Benoit grabbed him and rammed him into the steel stairs then tossed him into the ring, climbing the top rope and came down with a missile dropkick, then caught him with three suplexes, releasing on the last one. Benoit then climbed the top rope, this wasn't the smartest of moves as he would leap with another dropkick right to Chono, grabbing the legs and went for the sharpshooter though Chono would hit right at the head with his fist, kicking Benoit off. Chono rose up and hit him with a running knee to the gut, hitting him a few more times then finished him with a vicious powerbomb. He grabbed his legs and would slingshot him to the corner, Benoit smacking into the turnbuckle as Chono grabbed him from behind and locked in a release german suplex, Benoit flipping and landing on his front. Chono would rise, backing up some and would watch him pull himself up as he ran, punting him right over the head, pulling him to his feet and tossed him shoulder first into the steel post. Benoit would dangle as Chono dragged him to the floor, ramming his head three times into the steel stairs, slamming him into the barricade then back into the ring, rolling inside and yelled at him to 'get up.' Benoit pushed himself up as Chono dropped him with a chickenwing suplex, mounting him and started to punch over his head, obvious what he was trying to go. Benoit would kick him off with his foot, rising up as Chono tackled him to the corner, punching over his head until Benoit fought back, three hard body chops to the chest. Chono would grab him and viciously tossed him chest first into the corner, Benoit boucing off and rubbed his pectorale. Chono dropped three elbows over the throat, dragging him up and would clothesline him of the ring, Benoit landing on the apron. Chono went to suplex him in though it was blocked, Benoit slugging him over the head and went to ram him to the turnbuckle though that was blocked as Benoit was smashed head first into the post, falling to floor. He smirked to himself, Benoit crawling back inside as Chono stomped to the back of his head to keep him down, letting him rise and blasted him with a running knee then a spinning neck breaker, coming off the rope and came down with a knee over the head. He picked him up by the head, ramming his knees into his head and face, tossing him to the ropes and kicked him with a bicycle kick to the chest right into the corner. Chono slowly moved up, placing him on top and went for a superplex though Benoit fought back, hitting ten full on headbutts, dropping him down. He shook his head some and leapt with a tornado DDT and made sure to spike it, Benoit rising to his feet, some blood trickling down the side of his head as he caught Chono and dropped him with a piledriver, covering for two. Benoit rose as he stomped upon him, tossing him to the ropes and caught him with a tiltawhirl backbreaker then finished him with both knees to the ribs. Benoit would hit him with a a shin breaker then started to jerk at the ankle, twisting and wrenching on it. Chono was able to fight out with a stiff kick to the face, rising up and caught Benoit with a hiptoss whom quickly countered with a crossface though Chono quickly blocked and countered with a clothesline that Benoit countered with a crucifix ddt, covering for two. Both men rose though Benoit struck first, kicking in the gut then caught him with a Tbone suplex then a gutwrench suplex, finishing with a snap suplex, locking in a butterfly lock. Chono shook his head, using his feet to crawl a bit and caught the rope, Benoit letting go though hit him with a climb up dropkick, knocking him to the corner. Benoit came in, climbing the rope and started to punch over his head though Chono countered with a running powerbomb, rattling the ring. Chono rose up, pulling Benoit with him and cracked him with a headbutt, tossing him to the ropes and dropped him with a backbody drop then knocked him down with a running boot over the face, dragging him back up and dropped him with an electric chair. Chono crossed his throat in mock fashion, smirking as he pulled Benoit up and came down with a piledriver, locking in a side headlock, using one of his hands to punch at his head. Benoit fought to his feet, using his elbows to fight out and tossed Chono to the ropes, ducking a clothesline and captured a release belly to belly suplex. Benoit rushed in though Chono caught him with a flapjack right into the ropes, whipping him back and took him down with a burning clothesline, turning him around and went for the STS though Benoit blocked with a back elbow. Both of them rose as Benoit ducked a punch, tackling Chono to the corner and rammed his shoulders hard to the ribs though Chono countered with a hard knee to the face then pushed him. Benoit would push back as Chono swung, Benoit grabbing the arm and nearly had the crossface applied though Chono rolled out, going for a clothesline as Benoit countered with a roll up for two. Both men rose though Benoit quickly dropped him with a german suplex, then another, and another, and another, then another, and another, and another, hitting Chono with a total of ten german suplexes, crossing his throat and slowly climbed the top rope, leaping with the headbutt, smacking into Chono's skull, his stitches now ripped open. Benoit covered Chono, not caring about the pain, 1............2........No! Benoit rose up, growling some as he just bled all over his face and chest now, he just didn't care as he dragged Chono up, slapping over his head, chopping and chopping, cutting some meat there as he would toss him to the ropes though Chono would irish whip him, catching him with a tilt awhirl backbreaker but Benoit somehow was able to flow with the momentum and got behind him and quickly locked in an ankle lock. Chono tried to kick him off but Benoit had it locked in, scissoring the legs around. Chono yelled out, crawling to the ropes if he had to though Beoit latched on like a ravid wolverine. Benoit had him locked in real tight, Chono shaking his head as he would continue to crawl, yelling out in pain and dragged him if he had to, grabbing the rope. The ref broke up the hold as Benoit rose up, stomping along his back and head, pulling Chono up whom hobbled on his ankle and would headbutt him, hitting a snap suplex then a fullnelson bulldog, Benoit going right for the sharpshooter though Chono blasted him right in the head then kicked him off. He rose and caught Benoit with a kick over the head, stopping him in his tracks then bashed at him with his knees, dropping him with a double underhook ddt, rising up slow and would connect with the Yakuza Kick dead on, covering Benoit, 1..........2.........NO! Chono was in a bit of shock, Benoit just kicked out as he rose up, pulling Benoit to his feet and would lock him in and dropped him with the ChonoTrigger, his patented Doubleunderhook Falling TigerDriver, covering Benoit, 1............2..........NO! Chono looked at the ref as if to say "What the hell?" Chono would grit his teeth, mounting over Benoit and started to literally punch at his head, viciously making sure to hit the open wound. Over and over and over again he would punch, his fist just covered in Benoit's blood as it would spray out and slam against the mat and dripped down his face. Chono would up for one final punch and came down as Benoit would block and quickly pulled him down right into the Crossface, locking it in. The arena exploded as Benoit had him right where he wanted in the center of the ring. Benoit locked on tightly and clamped as Chono couldn't move even if he wanted to. Benoit would wrench and pull, tugging as hard as he could, nearly ripping Chono's head off as he refused to let go, Chono fighting the best he could, slamming his fist to the mat in frustration. Chono tried to push off but Benoit refused to move, squeezing even tighter if that were even possible, Chono reaching to pull the hair but that didn't work. Chono would push up with his arm and rolled but Benoit held on. Chono would try again, and again, and again and again, Benoit wouldn't let go if God told him to. Chono was getting frustrated as he would fight and dig in deep, giving one final push and was able to get Benoit on his back, the ref counting, 1.......2........No! Benoit had to let go to kick out, Chono holding his arm in agony as he rose up slowly, side stepping and dropped him with a onehanded backbody drop, going for a bodyslam but his arm gave up, Benoit dropping him with a release snap suplex, climbing the top rope but was a bit woozy from the bloodloss. Chono was able to kick the rope and have Benoit crotch it, slowly climbing up, looking to drop him with a superplex though Benoit fought back, headbutting him right down. He poised himself and leapt with the headbutt though Chono rolled out of the way, Benoit bouncing up, holding his head then was blasted in the face with the Yakuza kick, Chono covering, 1....2......3. Chono refused to raise his arm as it hurt like hell, raising the other arm and just shook his head down at Benoit, rolling out of the ring as he made it to the end, now all he had to do we defeat Steamboat or Keiji than the winner of Block B...and G1 belonged to him. Benoit staggered up, shaking his head and got a standing ovation for that, shaking his head as he left the ring, dejected but for the Pure Heavyweight Champion, he did quite well even after wrestling three wrestlers just two weeks prior. [Play Out] This was the final match as Steamboat and Keiji stepped in the center of the ring. The smarks were going crazy and the rest of the fans knew, this was going to be epic, two icons of their respective companies were about to lock horns, Keiji extending his palm as Ricky would shake it, an act of respect as the bell would sound. Slowly they would grapple, pushing against each other utnil the hold would break. They would lock up again, each of them almost getting momentum though the hold broke, neither one gaining ground. They would try for a greco roman, both of them pushing against each other, even on Steamboat's bad leg he was able to push back and hold his ground, each of them giving in and let go, realizing this was going to be tricky. Keiji moved quick and took him down with a firemans carry, Steamboat rose and came back with a hip toss, Keiji with an armdrag, Steamboat with an armdrag, Keiji with a tomoe flip, Steamboat with a standing monkey flip, Keiji with a dropkick, Steamboat with a dropkick, Keiji with a headlock takedown, Steamboat with a snapmare, Keiji with a drop toe hold then Steamboat with a legsweep, both of them rising up getting a round of applause. They would lock up again, Keiji kicking to the leg to get the advantage, dropping Ricky with another tomoe toss then a headlock takedown, wrenchng upon the head. Ricky rose up and tossed him off, leapfrogging then caught him with a gorilla press though Keiji countered that with a falling DDT, rolling to his feet and came off the rope, knocking him with a flying shoulder block, rising up again and came at him with a flying elbow, moving to the top rope and came down with a super sunset flip neckbreaker. Keiji kicked to his back and chest, dropping him to his knee and finished him off with a dropkick to the face, covering for two. He rose, pulling him up and caught him with a release fisherman suplex, hitting a running leg lariat, kicking him to the corner. Keiji ran with a cartwheel backelbow then came down with a bulldog, watching Ricky rise and kicked him hard over the back of the head, quickly climing the top rope and leap with a moonsault, coming down hard, 1...2...3NO! Whoa that was very close, Mutoh nearly had him there as he would wait for him to rise, coming at him with a leaping neckbreaker then a clothesline, locking him in a dragonsleeper. Steamboat would kick a little bit, getting to his feet and would leap up then dropped, tossing Keiji off of him, watching him come off the ropes and caught him with a powerslam, continuing with a dropkick then a dropsault, hitting him to the corner. Ricky came in with a bodysplash then tossed him from the corner, taking him down with a rolling spinebuster then a quick jackknife pin for two. Ricky rose though took a hard kick to the knee, backing away as Keiji sprang up, punching to the head and kicking at the knee, moving him to the corner and rammed his knee into the gut then hard kicks to the chest. He pulled him from the corner and dropped him with a suplex, a dropkick then a hard cresent kick right to the face, locking in a spinning toe hold than an inverted figure four. Keiji wasn't fooling around as Steamboat grunted out, struggling to break free though the hold was applied perfectly. Steamboat would grab the rope with a free hand, Keiji letting go but was able to sweep him off of his feet, landing a few well placed knees over the head and grappled from behind, dropping Steamboat with a release chickenwing back suplex, Ricky landing on his front and rolled to the floor. He rubbed his leg some as Keiji moved to the floor, picking him up and slammed him leg first onto the stairs. Ricky would hobble some, Keiji kicking at the knee as Steamboat rolled into the ring, Keiji grabbing the ankle as Ricky went for a mule kick. Keiji moved out of the way and quickly locked in an STF. Ricky would stuggle a bit with that one, fighting out of it with a back elbow, rising up though Keiji hit a hard kick right to the back of the knee, slamming it down to the mat and locked in a spinning legdrop three times. Keiji picked him up, raising him for a gorilla press then dropped him with a capture cutter, the fans 'wowing' at that, rolling him over only for two. Keiji rose and kicked along his body, bouncing off the rope and dropped him with a bulldog, watching him rise and hit him with a stiff shot to the face, Ricky stumbling back to the corner as Keiji came in with a rolling dropkick, flippng back and came in though Ricky rose his foot. Keiji caught his foot and dropped him with a dragonscrew not just once but twice, making it hard for him to even stand, stomping at the back then front of the knee, watching him stagger and locked in a chickenwing suplex, covering for two. Keiji would drag him back up, locking him in an eagle stretch, holding him in place now putting pressure on the ribs. He held it on nice and tight, Ricky shaking his head, his fist and arm starting to shake, he seemed to be getting angry as he would hiptoss himself out of the hold. He rotated his arm and caught Keiji with a deep armdrag then a snapmare, grabbing him by the throat with both hands and pulled him up, slamming him down. Keiji rolled to his feet and came off the rope with a spinning wheel kick, Ricky able to grab him and counter that right into a release reverse capture fallaway slam. Ricky rose up, grappling from behind and came down with a backsuplex with a bridge for two. Ricky rose and started to chop and punch at Keiji, adding in a few kicks then spin kicked him right in the jaw to the corner. Ricky came in with heavy chops then tossed him to the other corner, watching him bounce off and caught him with a bulldog, rolling to his feet and hit a dropkick, and another, then another, an armdrag, a release belly to belly suplex, a hiptoss then finished him off with a backbody drop. Keiji rose up and took an inverted atomic drop then a bodyslam, Ricky getting a full head of steam and caught him with a crossbody spinning DDT, covering for two. Ricky would look up to the clock, ten minutes left as he would try to kick it into overdrive, going for an armbar but Keiji pulled him in for a small package for two. Both men rose, exchanging kicks now, back and forth they would kick, then punch, then chop, then back again trying to wear the other down. Keiji caught the leg though he and Ricky would hit an insiguri, hitting each other's ankles. They rose and locked up, Ricky leaping up for an hurricanrana though Keiji countered by pulling him back up for an alley oop though Ricky countered that with a sunset flip to which Keiji rolled back, coming in with his foot as Ricky ducked and quickly grabbed him from behind. Keiji switched positions than Ricky then Keiji than Ricky again, raising him up for a german though Keiji rolled forward quickly covering Ricky with an inverted crucifix pin for two. They rose again, Keiji pulling him down with an armdrag that Ricky countered into a snapmare somehow, rising up came at him with a spinning headscissor, Keiji countering right into a tiltawhirl backbreaker, holding him down over the knee and would apply pressure, Ricky fighting out by kicking with his feet. Ricky rose though Keiji caught him with a sunset flip facebuster, rising and moved to the middle rope, leaping with a missile dropkick though Ricky sidestepped, coming off the rope with a cross body block, pulling him up and rose him for a piledriver though Keiji flipped him over, bouncing off the rope and missed the clothesline, coming back and was backbody dropped though landed on his feet, catching Ricky with a hiptoss whom flipped out and dropped Keiji with a hiptoss as he landed on his feet, both of them hitting the rope and dropped each other with a double clothesline. Slowly they would start to rise at the count of seven, Ricky going in though Keiji kicked right at the knee and lowbridged him, Ricky catching his throat on the middle rope then planted hard upon the mat with a reverse suplex, Keiji then quickly applying the Mutalock. Ricky would try to fight out of it though he was a master at this hold for sure, Keiji holding it in tightly as the clock continued to tick down. Two minutes and Ricky was stuck in this hold and Mutoh wasn't going to let go, Ricky forced to crawl towards the ropes, dragging Mutoh if he had to. Another minute passing as Ricky got a hold of the rope, Keiji letting go but quickly caught him with an oklahoma roll for two. He grabbed at the leg, dragging him to the center though Steamboat kicked him off, rising up and ducked a straight kick to the face, catching Keiji with a neckbreaker, rising up again slowly, rubbing at his throat and grappled him with a hammerlock, Keiji rolling forward to get him off. Ricky used that momentum to come off the rope and catch him with a sunset flip snap powerbomb, quickly covering for two. Both men rose, Ricky kicking to the ribs though Keiji caught the leg, dropping an elbow over it and caught him with a wheel kick to the jaw, backing away and was ready, charging in for The Shining Wizard, swinging hard though Ricky would duck and quickly countered with an STF. Keiji would struggle on this one, taken by surprise as he was able to get a hold of the rope with only four minutes left. Ricky rose and struck first with a kick to the gut, picking him up for a powerbomb though Keiji countered with a hurricanrana, covering for two. They rose again as Keiji caught a hard chop against Ricky's chest, chopping him to the ropes then picked him up for a suplex but then dropped him against the rope, using it like a trampoline and forced him back up and would spin, dropping Ricky with a falling capture brainbuster, covering...for two. Keiji got a bit frustated, grabbing Ricky and dropped him with a double underhook powerbomb then covered again for two. It didn't work as he dragged him back up, hitting him with a side back breaker three times then rose him up, dropping him with a leaping electric chair, moving to the top rope and leapt for the moonsault, again only for two. Three minutes remain as Keiji rose, anger taking over as he went right for a figurefour though Ricky kicked him off, hobbling just a bit as Mutoh came back with a vicious wheel kick, Ricky ducking and rolled, springing off the rope and caught a chop right over his head, covering quickly, NO only a two and that was too close. Ricky rose and went for a suplex though Keiji fought out, landing on his feet and slugged him right in the face with a fist, Ricky bouncing off the rope with a kick to the gut then a double underhook suplex, rising up and caught him with a dragonsuplex with a bridge for two. Keiji rose and caught Ricky with a flatliner DDT, Keiji rose up and waited for the right moment and connected with the Shining Wizard, covering, 1....2.....NO! Two minute warning! Keiji shook his head as he and Ricky rose, starting to slug it out now, only one was going to win and time was crucial. A punch, a chop, a punch, a chop, back and forth these two would strike and each strike got louder and harder, Keiji hitting him with a vicious haymaker, Ricky coming off the rope with chop after chop after chop, knocking Keiji back to the rope whom came back with a heavy haymaker, Ricky catching it and quickly rolled him into a ministrol cradle...NO Only two. Ricky tried for a german though Keiji flipped out of it, smacking to the corner as Ricky charged in. Keiji rolled as Ricky hit the top turnbuckle but was dragged down and placed in the tree of woe position and stomped heavily with only 60 seconds left. Keiji went to pull him off but took a hard shot right to the face with his foot, Ricky mounting the top rope and leap with a moonsault though Keiji caught him, having him poised for a vertical piledriver, ready to drop as Ricky bent his body back if he had to and rolled forward taking Keiji with him doing an insidecradle victory roll, covering, 1..........2...........3NO! 30 Seconds left! That was too close and time was ticking away, a draw meant they both lost and now it was gutcheck time, Ricky pulling him up though Keiji quickly dropped him with a flapjack, a release german suplex then a spinning wheel kick with ten seconds left on the clock. Keiji bounced off of the ropes and came in fast with the Shining Wizard though Ricky caught the leg and quickly rolled forward with a half jackknife pin, 1....2......3! "Holy hell Gorilla, Steamboat had 2 seconds left to spare and he was just able to defeat Mutoh by countering his own move, what an amasing spot." "I've seen a lot of matches in my day but that had to be one of the best I've seen and we still have one more night of this Jess, I don't know if I can take it." Ricky rose up winning the final match of the night, all that stood in his way now was Masahiro Chono and whomever won in Block B, turning around and would shake the hand of Keiji whom rose his hand up and rolled out of the ring. Steamboat looked exhausted going through Riki Chosyu, Hakushi and then Keiji Mutoh, all of which excelled in their craft. Ricky sweating from head to toe as the fans obviously now picked their winner, chanting his name as Ricky was then turned around, going eye to eye with Masahiro Chono, the man that Dominated this tournament. Chono bar none had to be the biggest obstacle so far but he would smirk at him, removing his glasses and rose Steamboat's hand up in a matter of respect, knowing that at Sin, they were going to have one hell of a match and only one of them could advance further, giving Ricky the spotlight as he looked on, Night One of G1 would then fade to black.

Night 2
For the second night in a row, a monster fireworks display lit up Caesar's Palace as the crowd erupted for Block B of the G1 Climax, as Chono and Steamboat already punched their tickets to Sin, who would repeat the process tonight? "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to night two of the G1 Climax, I am Gorilla Monsoon, alongside Jesse "the Body" Ventura and Bobby "the Weasel" Heenan!" "That's "the Brain", ya big ape! Don't get on my case tonight!" "I'm fired up, I'm glad to be back here with Monsoon, last night was a real treat to bring you back in, and I'm glad that it's you and not that dork Grisham anymore!" "Well, the festivities are just about to get started, lets take it up to Justin Roberts!" "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to night two of the G1 Climax tournament!!! The rules are as follows, this is a single elimination tournament, with the first round matches having a ten minute time limit. The quarterfinals will be 15 minutes, and the semi-final matches will be 30 minutes in length. At NWA Sin, the finals of Block A and Block B will be contested under a 60 minute time limit, and the Grand Finale to determine the winner of the G1 Climax will have no time limit! Without further adieu... This is a first round match up scheduled for one fall!" (Play Flair) "Introducing first, from Charlotte, North Carolina, weighing in at 235lbs, "The Nature Boy", Ric Flair!" (Play Ole) "And his opponent, accompanied by Eric Bischoff, he represents Camp Jarrett, weighing in at 250lbs he is one half of the NWA World Tag Team Champions, Ole Anderson!" As soon as Ole got into the ring, Flair sprang forward and wailed away on him like a wild man, Ole didn't even have a chance to take the title belt off as the bell rang, Flair going absolutely crazy. He backed Ole into the corner and began to chop away repeatedly, chopping and punching and chopping and punching until Ole came out of the corner, Flair giving him a hip toss. Ole got to his knees and turned around, starting to beg off, Flair stopping in his tracks. He offered his hand to Ole, and Ole reached out, but Flair took his hand back and ran it through his hair, strutting his stuff and wooing right in his face. Ole got back to his feet as the two men locked up in the center of the ring, Flair getting behind Ole and locking in a waistlock, trying to bring the big man down. Ole brought back an elbow into Flair's face and knocked him down. He went to drop an elbow, but missed as Flair rolled out of the way. Ole slowly got back to his feet as Flair chopped him again, then hit an inverted atomic drop, then chopped him again, knocking him down. Flair backed into the corner and started to strut out again, dropping his signature knee right onto Ole's face. Ole got back to his feet as Flair was waiting for him, going for the chop block, but Bischoff got up on the apron, distracting Ric. Ric turned around and grabbed him, going to bring him into the ring, but Ole got the cheap shot from behind. He hit a big time suplex and went for the cover, but only got a two count. Ole picked Flair up and delivered a reverse knife edge, which Flair retaliated to. Ole hit a headbutt on Flair to slow him down and threw him to the corner. Flair flew up and over and ran to the other turnbuckle, climbing it. He leapt off with an ax handle but was caught in mid-air, Ole driving him down with the Spinebuster! He covered Flair quickly for 1..... 2..... NO! Flair's foot hit the rope! Ole got back up and argued with the referee, and even Bischoff got on the apron to scream at him, while Flair rolled outside and grabbed a pair of knucks, slipping them on. Ole dragged him back inside the ring, Bischoff still yelling at the referee. When Ole picked Flair up, Flair delivered a loaded fist straight into Ole's balls, knocking him down! He threw the knucks away and covered Ole, the referee turning around! 1.... 2.... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, advancing to the quarter finals, Ric Flair!" "What a way to go, eh Monsoon?" "I say it's very underhanded by Flair, but it's payback, for sure." "You're just happy because it happened to Ole." "For the first time, Weasel, you're right!" Flair rolled out of the ring, stylin' and profilin' as Bischoff got on the apron, threatening to sue the referee, but the decision stood, Ric Flair advanced into the quarter finals, as Ole needed help leaving the arena, the next match about to get under way. "The following contest is a first round matchup scheduled for one fall!" (Play Taka) "Introducing first, accompanied by Mr. Fuji, representing the Rising Sun Dynasty, he weighs in at 190lbs, Taka Michinoku!" (Play JoMo) "And his opponent, from Los Angeles, California, he weighs in at 220lbs he is the NWA United States Champion, John Morrison!" Morrison had a lot on his mind, being attacked by Dynasty left and right, perhaps it was time for him to get some revenge as Fuji jumped up on the apron, distracting JoMo for just a second as Taka took advantage, the bell ringing. Taka came in strong in the corner, hammering away until Morrison fired back with right hands of his own. Morrison said screw the flashy offense and threw Taka straight over the top and followed out. He grabbed Taka and launched him back first into the stairs, then face first into the post! Morrison had enough of the sneak attacks, so he turned his attention to Fuji, who started to back off. Taka came from behind but JoMo saw this coming and hit a pele kick to Taka's head, throwing him back into the ring. He rolled in after and hit a standing shooting star, hooking the leg. 1.... 2.... no, Taka got out of it. He rolled to the outside, Fuji coming to his aid. Morrison hit a baseball slide into Taka, knocking him into the first row at ringside as Fuji hit him from behind with the flag. Morrison felt nothing, as the adrenaline was pumping. He pushed Fuji down on his ass and broke the flag in half, the crowd erupting. Taka was coming back into the ringside area as Morrison leapt off the stairs and hit the Flying Chuck straight into Taka's face, knocking him back into the fans and rolled into the ring. The referee began to count and got to six before Taka got back to ringside. 7..... 8...... 9...... Taka barely slid back into the ring as Morrison hammered away, wanting to destroy Taka. He ran to the ropes as Taka slowly got back to his feet. He backdropped a charging Morrison over the top, but Morrison landed on the apron. He springboarded off the top, but Take caught him with a spinning heel kick, knocking him out of the air, as he had begun to take the momentum away. Morrison sat up and was met with a dropkick straight into his face, as Taka rolled over for the cover, getting a quick two. Taka ran to the ropes as Morrison was rising, hitting a flying leg lariat, knocking the US Champ down. He picked Morrison back up and threw him to the far side, hitting a hip toss. Morrison landed on his feet and went for a clothesline, but Taka ducked underneath it and hit the ropes, flipping forward and hitting a reverse handspring back elbow, nailing Morrison in the face. He covered for another two count and began to stomp away. Morrison rose to his feet and began to fight back, the two exchanging right hands. Taka went for a spinning heel kick, but Morrison ducked and reeled back, hitting his spinning heel kick to the back of Taka's head. Morrison leapt up to the top rope and flew off with Starship Pain, but missed, Taka rolling out of the way. Morrison was able to land on his feet. Taka kicked JoMo low and went for the Michinoku Driver, but Morrison went up and over, and when Taka turned around, *BANG*! Nitro Blast right into the face, Taka landing flat, as Morrison hooked his legs. 1..... 2..... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, advancing to the quarter finals, John Morrison!" Morrison grabbed Taka and launched him straight over the top to the outside, screaming "Get the hell out of my ring!" as he grabbed his US Title and raised it high into the air, advancing into the quarter finals as he left the ring triumphantly, the next match getting ready. "The following contest is a first round matchup scheduled for one fall!" (Play Psicosis) "Introducing first, from Mexico, weighing in at 200lbs, Psicosis!" (Play CM Punk) "And his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, weighting 220lbs, CM Punk!" Punk got a rousing ovation from the crowd as the CM Punk chants started to be heard as the bell rang. Psicosis ran hard, but Punk sidestepped him, sending him to the ropes. Psicosis springboarded off the second rope with a moonsault, taking Punk down for a quick one count. They rose back to their feet as Psicosis hit the ropes again, getting back body dropped, but landing on his feet. He ducked a clothesline on the return, and came off with a cross body block for another one count, Punk tossing him to the outside on the kickout. Psicosis rolled up to the apron and springboarded with a dropkick which tied Punk in the ropes, and then delivered a clothesline, taking Punk up and over. Punk hit the apron in anger, not expecting that as Psicosis came off the ropes, leaping over the top with a plauncha, but Punk sidestepped him, Psicosis landing flat on the floor! Punk rolled Psicosis into the ring and covered him for a quick two. He picked him up and scoop slammed him hard, before driving an elbow straight into the face. Punk got up and measured him, delivering another one to the head, covering again for two. Punk rose to the top rope and waited for Psicosis to get to his feet, delivering a double ax handle to his head. He tossed Psicosis to the corner and charged in with a rising knee, holding on and going for the bulldog, but Psicosis scouted it and threw Punk off. Punk hit the second rope and flipped backwards, over Psicosis who turned around into a solid kick in the face, knocking him straight out of the ring! "Wow! He may not get up from that, Body! He took that kick straight in the side of the temple!" "The side of the where?" "The temple, Jess." "There IS no side of the temple, Gorilla!" "Sorry I mentioned it..." Punk left the ring and tossed Psicosis back into the ring, going for the cover. 1.... 2.... no! Somehow, he kicked out of it. Punk picked him up and came down with a snap suplex, floating over for another cover. 1.... 2.... no! He went to pick him up again until Psicosis sprang to life with a dropkick to Punk's face, knocking him into the corner. He flew forward with a monkey flip, then rose to the top rope, going for a moonsault. Punk got to his feet as Psicosis leapt off, but Punk caught him in midair and without a wasted motion, dropped him down with the GTS! Punk wasted no time, going for the cover. 1..... 2..... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, CM Punk!" CM Punk had his hand raised in victory as the crowd applauded the excellent counter. Punk took a small bow with a little evil smirk as if to say "You're welcome, I know I'm good." He left the ring as Psicosis was just starting to come to, Punk had advanced to the quarter finals. In the back, Jeff Hardy was looking on a monitor, seeing Punk advance to the quarter finals, his music hitting, he was up next. (Play Hardy) "Ladies and gentlemen, this is a first round contest scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at 215lbs, the Charismatic Enigma, Jeff Hardy!" (Play Rey) "And his opponent, from San Diego, California, he weighs in at 180lbs, Rey Myste-" Jeff Hardy flew over the top rope with a Swanton plauncha, landing right on Mysterio before he even entered the ring! He threw Rey into the stairs as the referee tried to get him to stop, the match had to be started. "What is that? He didn't even let him get into the ring!" "Mysterio tripped!" "What the hell are you talking about, Brain?" "It's obvious that with that mask on, he didn't see where he was going and tripped and fell into the stairs!" "Will you stop??" Jeff Hardy reached under the ring and grabbed a steel chair, blasting Rey straight in the face, busting him wide open, as the fans booed him severely. He went up to a little kid and ripped his Rey Mysterio mask off and reached into his pocket, pulling out a lighter. He then burned the mask right in front of the kid and threw Rey into the ring, the bell FINALLY ringing. Mysterio turned around right into a Twist of Fate from Jeff, being knocked completely out. Jeff slowly walked over and went to cover, but stopped. He picked Mysterio up and threw him into the ropes, launching him high into the air and came down with a super high angle Twist of Fate, Rey's body bouncing off the mat. He then walked over to the top rope and leapt off with a new finisher, a Swanton guillotine legdrop to Mysterio's throat called the Enigmatic Execution. He hooked Rey's legs for 1..... 2..... 3. "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Jeff Hardy!" The fans booed wildly, but there was nothing anyone could do, Rey Mysterio was just crippled by the hands of Jeff Hardy, a new attitude for sure as he just put the entire NWA locker room on notice in less than a minute, this new Jeff Hardy was not one to be screwed with, taking out Evan Bourne and Rey Mysterio thusfar, advancing to the quarter finals by hook or crook, Mysterio being carried out of the ring on a stretcher as Hardy laughed at the carnage he caused. Kevin Kelly quickly caught up with Jeff Hardy in the back. "Jeff Hardy, what the hell was that, you should be ashamed of yourself!" "Oh I should be, huh? That's funny, I feel pretty damn good right about now. What you just saw was the start of a new regime in the NWA. Jeff Hardy is not one to be screwed with. Oh... and just because I know a special someone is watching... Good luck Punk. I'll be rooting for you." After the ring was cleared, Justin Roberts was given the go-ahead. "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall and is a first round contest with the winner to face John Morrison in the quarter-finals." (Play Bam Bam) "Introducing first, accompanied by Luna Vachon, from Asbury Park, New Jersey, weighing in at 360lbs, the Beast From the East, Bam Bam Bigelow!" Bam Bam entered the ring and hit the ropes, almost breaking them, being such a big monster as he awaited his opponent... What a surprise! Alberto Del Rio is the surprise opponent for Bam Bam Bigelow. He entered the ring with arrogance and finesse as the bell rang to signal the start of the match. He charged in and attacked Bam Bam, but was easily pushed off and manhandled into the corner. Bam Bam went for a body avalanche but Del Rio quickly got out of the way, going behind the Beast from the East. He kicked at the backs of his knees to try and take him down, then slowly started to work on the arm, locking in an arm wringer. Bam Bam quickly countered this with a short arm clothesline, taking Del Rio down. Bam Bam went for a splash, but missed as Del Rio rolled out of the way. He got back to his feet and stomped on Bam Bam's head, trying to keep him down. Bam Bam got to his feet and shoved Del Rio off, who came back with a flying climb up enziguiri to the back of Bam Bam's head, but he still stood tall! Del Rio came off with a clothesline, but couldn't knock the big man down. Finally, a dropkick to the jaw took Bam Bam off his feet as Del Rio went for a cover. 1..... NO! Del Rio was tossed off with authority! Del Rio got back up and was enraged as he started to work the arm some more, bringing over to the corner and blasting it into the turnbuckle, Bam Bam pulling away, playing defense. Del Rio was relentless, locking in a hammerlock, but Bam Bam was able to power out of it, running backwards and crushing him in the corner. Bam Bam reeled back with an elbow to Del Rio's nose and pulled him out of the corner. He hit a front slam, pushing all his weight onto Del Rio and went for the cover, but only got a two. Del Rio got back up and was taken straight out of the ring by a clothesline, landing right in front of the announce table. He got back up and dusted himself off, groggy, trying to shake the cobwebs loose, as Bam Bam came after him. He charged at him, but Del Rio ducked underneath a clothesline, Bam Bam's arm hitting the post. Del Rio grabbed his arm and wrapped it around the post hard, rolling back into the ring, as the referee continued to count. He got to eight before Bam Bam slid back into the ring, Del Rio like a hawk, going straight to work. He went for a side armbar, but Bam Bam was just too strong and delivered a monster of a headbutt that rocked Del Rio hard, almost knocking him clean out. He threw him to the ropes and leapt up with a 360-pound spinning heel kick! "Holy shit, Monsoon! Did you see that!" "I certainly did, Jesse! Beatifully done by the 350+ pounder!" "I can do that in my sleep." "Yeah right, Brain." "I can! And then I wake up!" Del Rio was knocked out cold as Bam Bam signalled for the end, going to the top rope for a moonsault. He leapt off big time, but Del Rio rolled out of the way thank god, as Bam Bam got back to his feet. Del Rio then locked in the cross arm breaker, taking Bam Bam down! Bam Bam had no choice but to tap out! "Cabos y caballeros, el ganador de este partido, y el ganador del Torneo G1 .... Alberto Del Rio!" What a debut for Alberto Del Rio, making the big Bam Bam Bigelow tap out, the first quarter final match was set, Alberto Del Rio one on one with a game John Morrison! Alberto went to the back as he turned around telling the cameraman that "My destiny is to win G1! But you already know that!" With that, he left with a wink as he turned around to the back. "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a first round matchup with the winner to face Jeff Hardy in the quarter-finals!" (Play Drew) "Introducing first, from Ayr, Scotland, weighing in at 256lbs, Drew McIntyre!" McIntyre hit the ring with intensity, wanting to get back to his winning ways since losing the US Title, and this was the way to do it as he waited for his opponent. (Play Cena) "And his opponent, from West Newbury, Massachusetts, weighing 253lbs, John Cena!" Cena was in a must-win situation as if he won G1, he'd still be in NWA, as he had a title shot that he could cash in, but if he lost, he was gone. The bell rang as Cena wasted no time locking up with Drew, both men jocking for position. Drew pushed Cena back to the corner and swung hard, but Cena ducked underneath it and started delivering bodyblows, then rose up to Drew's head. Drew answered back with bombs of his own, the two men trading blows from the corner all the way to the center of the ring, no one getting any advantage. Cena took Drew down and started hammering away at his head, until Drew turned it over and mounted Cena, punching away at his face. The two got back to their feet and butted heads, tempers flaring for sure. The referee got between them as Cena shoved him back, Drew using the opportunity to get a cheap shot in and locked Cena in a headlock. Cena pushed him off to the ropes and Drew shoulder blocked him down. He went to step on Cena's fingers, but John was fast as he caught Drew's foot and tripped him down, locking in the STF! Drew frantically fought out of it and hit the ropes, grabbing the bottom one before the hold could be fully applied, the referee calling for the break. Drew got back to his feet and looked at Cena who just cracked his knuckles and called him on, not wanting to waste any time. Drew came back in and locked up with Cena again, Cena this time locking in the headlock and then switching behind to a waistlock, hitting a release german suplex. Drew bounced off the mat and rolled to the outside, but Cena ran after him, sliding to the outside and clotheslined him down. Cena screamed at him "You're not goin' anywhere!" and tossed him inside, rolling in after him. Drew used this opportunity to hammer at Cena's back, keeping him down. Cameras cut to the back as we saw Jeff Hardy watching the match on a monitor intently, having a vested interest in this match. Cena was down and hurt as McIntyre continued to put the boots to his back, just relentlessly kicking and hammering away as he picked Cena up and fired him into the corner hard. Cena came out of the corner in pain as Drew locked in a bearhug to try and wear him down. Cena wrapped his hands around McIntyre and countered with a belly to belly suplex, bringing Drew down to the mat. He came off the ropes with a flying shoulder tackle, but Drew intercepted him in midair with a big boot to the face. He picked Cena up and hit a DDT, floating over for the cover, but only got a two. He picked Cena up and went for a suplex, but Cena blocked it. Drew tried again and Cena blocked it again and hit a small package, quickly getting a two count. Drew went for a massive right hand but Cena ducked underneath and hit a protoplex. "You can't see me!" Cena hit the five knuckle shuffle on Drew, wanting to end this quickly. He called for the F-U and lifted Drew up, but Drew gouged his eyes and came off Cena's shoulders. He went for the Future Shock, but Cena pushed him off, Drew hitting the referee. The ref went down, but wasn't hurt as it was just a small bump, he was gonna be all right. Drew turned around straight into a low blow from Cena as he picked him up and dropped him down with the F-U! He covered Drew, hooking both legs for 1..... 2..... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, John Cena!" Jeff Hardy was seen in the back smiling evilly... he already had a victory over Cena at Starrcade, as Cena's hand was raised in victory. A tarnished victory, but a victory nevertheless for Cena, a man who had to do anything to win tonight, as he could NOT afford to lose even one single time. "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a first round matchup scheduled for one fall with the winner to face Ric Flair in the quarter-finals!" (Play Vader) "Introducing first, accompanied by Eric Bischoff, from the Rocky Mountains, he weighs in at 458lbs, The Man they call Vader!" (Play Sting) "And his opponent, from Venice Beach, California, weighing 250lbs, "The Icon" Sting!" It was obvious who the crowd was for as it was ALL Sting, the bell sounding to begin. Vader began to back Sting into the corner and swung hard, but Sting got out of the corner and moved to the center of the ring. Vader closed the distance again, backing Sting into the corner and again went to swing hard, but Sting got out of the way, playing keep away from Vader. Vader tried one more time to back Sting into the corner as Sting tried to get away, but Vader caught him and launched him to the corner, wailing away with heavy haymakers to the chest. He fired Sting out of the corner and avalanched him as Sting... just walked out of the corner! Vader was in utter shock as he couldn't believe what he just saw, shoving Sting to the corner and avalanching him again, this one having some adverse effect. Sting walked out and was sidewalk slammed down to the mat, Vader covering for two. He picked Sting up and sent him into the corner and charged in, Sting bringing his foot up to meet the Mastadon's face. Vader reeled back as Sting kicked low in the gut and went for a body slam, but Vader was just too heavy and fell on top of Sting. 1.... 2.... no! Sting got a shoulder up and squirmed out. Vader came off the ropes with a big time splash, crashing down on Sting. He hooked the legs, 1..... 2..... no! Sting still kicked out of it. Vader was the aggressor for sure as he locked in a reverse chinlock, putting all his weight down on Sting's neck, as Bischoff willed him on, already losing Ole tonight. Sting was able to fight back to his feet, elbowing Vader a few times, but Vader refused to let go. Sting grabbed hold of Vader's waist and muscled him up for a suplex, breaking the hold! Vader was up first as Sting was still reeling from the wear down hold. Vader went for a leg drop, but Sting rolled out of the way and kicked Vader square in the face, bringing the big man down. He quickly went for a cover, but was shot off at 1. Sting punched away at Vader's face, but Vader continued to rise, shoving Sting to the ropes. Sting came off with a clothesline, but couldn't take Vader down. He came off with a second one, Vader starting to reel. Sting ran off the ropes for a third time, but Vader came forward with a lariat that almost took Sting's head off, knocking him out. He covered Sting but still only got a two count, as Bischoff screamed at the referee, asking if he knew how to count. Sting slowly rose up in the corner as Vader charged in, Sting was able to get out of the way, Vader hitting the turnbuckles. Sting came from behind and chop blocked Vader down, going for the Scorpion Deathlock! Vader kicked him straight off and out of the ring. Bischoff came from the other end but Sting had reached under the ring and grabbed his ball bat, threating to beat the shit outta Bischoff if he came closer. Bischoff ran to the other side of the ring as Sting dropped the bat and climbed up on the apron. Vader caught him and suplexed him inside the hard way, covering Sting again, only for two. Sting was getting beaten down by Vader and was picked up, being sent into the corner again. Sting was able to somehow reverse Vader into the corner and hit the Stinger Splash... but to no effect, as Vader just came out of the corner and blasted Sting with a monster avalanche. "The Splash had no effect, Monsoon! He's still weak from his battle against The Undertaker!" "Well, you got that right, Sting's ripe for the pickings right now, Jess." "What does that even mean?" "You should know, Weasel, aren't you the Brain? Use it sometime." "You don't have to talk to me like that." "Then you can leave." "I'm needed here." Vader picked Sting up and dropped him down, going for the VaderBomb. He started to climb the ropes and bounced, but stopped. He then climbed up one more rope, all the way to the top, going for a VaderSault! He was gonna make Sting a permanent part of the canvas as he rose up slowly. However, Sting started to rise, a fire glowing in his eyes as he hit a low blow on the big man, stopping all momentum. Sting then climbed up with him and locked him back, hitting the Scorpion Death Drop from the top rope! Sting rolled over and got the cover! 1..... 2..... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, "The Icon" Sting!" Sting's winning ways from SuperCard continued onward as he got the hell beaten out of him, but was able to overcome Vader and head to the quarter-finals against longtime rival, Ric Flair! "Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final first round matchup in the G1 Climax tournament, with the winner to meet CM Punk in the quarter-finals!" (Play DiBiase) "Introducing first, accompanied by his father, Ted DiBiase Sr., from Palm Beach Florida, weighing 215lbs, Ted DiBiase Jr.!" "Now hold on just a minute. I'm out here, not to wrestle, but to win. It doesn't matter who my mystery opponent is, because I will crush them like a bug and go on to win this tournament. G1 Climax is the most prestigious tournament in all of professional wrestling, and it's just appropriate a DiBiase, the wealthiest family in all of wrestling wins the most prestigious tournament ever held. And soon after, Ted DiBiase Jr. will be the new NWA World Champion, because whoever holds that title is merely doing that... holding it, until I get my shot. So whoever it is, you're so screwed." DiBiase handed the referee a $100 to lace up his boots as he waited for his opponent, the crowd buzzing as to who it could be, so many surprises in G1! (Play Goldberg) Holy shit! It was Bill fucking Goldberg as Justin Roberts couldn't even announce him as he was in stunned silence, as were the DiBiases! The bell rang as Goldberg speared the hell out of BOTH of them, Ted Sr. rolling out of the ring as the crowd erupted in cheers, the roof exploding! Goldberg picked up Ted Jr. and lifted him high into the air, drilling him with the Jackhammer! 1..... 2.... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, Goldberg!" Holy shit what a return for Goldberg, crushing Ted DiBiase Jr. in a matter of 17 seconds! No one had seen or even heard from Goldberg in months, and he arrived on the scene, leaving the DiBiases in crumpled heaps at ringside, leaving the arena just as quickly as he entered, as CM Punk looked on the monitor with determination: He had one hell of a mountain to climb. "All right Jesse, let's take a look at the standings right now." "Well Monsoon, as you can see right here, we've narrowed it down to eight, and any one of these men can easily win G1. We've got Ric Flair vs. Sting, John Morrison vs. Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk vs. Goldberg, and John Cena vs. Jeff Hardy." "Whoa, what a tournament this is shaping up to be, just a recap of last night, the standings right now are finals, Masahiro Chono vs. Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat!" "You don't have to tell 'em the standings, Gorilla, I think they watched last night too." "Brain, I'm gonna knock you out so hard you'll be viewing this year's Starrcade!" "I'm being told that we've got Kevin Kelly in the backstage area with someone, Kevin, who is your guest?" "Thank you Jesse, I'm standing here with none other than... CM Punk. CM Punk, just a quick question before I ask you about your opponent, what are your thoughts about that despicable attack of Rey Mysterio by Jeff Hardy?" "Well, if I said that it was loathsome, and that I was above that, I'd be lying. G1 is an important tournament, and Jeff Hardy thinks he doesn't have any respect back here, and he's demanding it. Well Jeff, by pulling stunts like that, you don't gain respect, you lose it. It's obvious now that Jeff Hardy's not one to be messed with, but that's not my concern right now. My concern is with Goldberg, because he's my opponent right now. NOT Jeff Hardy." "About Goldberg, he just crushed his opponent in 17 seconds, are you worried?" "Worried? Are you kidding me? I'm CM Punk. I'm a two-time NWA World Champion, and a three time World Champion in that crappy WWE before it was taken over by someone with less creative ability than Vince McMahon and renamed WWF again. I beat the mighty John Cena before anyone else could even lay a hand on him, and I proved time and time again that I am the greatest wrestler in NWA, or the world for that matter. Yes, I'm better than Randy "I need help to win all my matches" Orton. Hell, AJ Styles got the sh*t beaten out of him by Mason the Mutilator, for sh*t's sake! I will NOT be another statistic on Goldberg's record. And if you don't believe me... just watch the match." Punk shoved Kevin Kelly off camera and walked off as Justin Roberts was given the go-ahead to start the quarter-finals. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is a quarter-final matchup scheduled for one fall!" (Play Morrison) "Introducing first, the NWA United States Champion, John Morrison!" (Play Del Rio) "Cabos y caballeros, bienvenidos una vez más, el hombre que va a ganar G1 e inevitablemente convertirse en el NWA World Heavyweight Champion, la esencia de la excelencia, Alberto Del Rio!" The bell sounded to start the match as Morrison and Del Rio locked up in the center of the ring, Morrison quickly going to the side headlock. He switched behind to a hammerlock quickly, but Del Rio scouted this and reversed into a hammerlock of his own. Morrison tried to find a way out of this but couldn't, reaching for the foot and feigning an elbow, before finally reversing it into another hammerlock. Del Rio was smart and hit a drop toe hold on Morrison, breaking the hammerlock and taking him down to the mat. Del Rio hit a half boston crab on Morrison, but Morrison rolled onto his back and broke it quickly, kicking Del Rio off. Morrison kipped up to his feet as Del Rio was bouncing off the ropes, hitting a spinning heel kick to the jaw. He covered quickly for one, as Del Rio got to his feet, backpedalling away, but Morrison continued the chase. Del Rio left the ring as Morrison chased after him, Del Rio sliding into the ring. Morrison got back into the ring as Del Rio went for a boot, Morrison catching it. Del Rio went for an enziguiri, but Morrison ducked underneath it, going for an inverted figure four, ANOTHER move he picked up from HBK! Del Rio had this scouted and kicked Morrison off, Morrison falling through the ropes to the outside, but landing on his feet. Del Rio rolled backwards onto his feet, keeping away from Morrison, as both men were equal in the early going. Del Rio held the ropes open for Morrison and winked at him, inviting him into the ring as Morrison cautiously entered the ring... Del Rio actually being sportsmanlike and let him in. Morrison winked back at him and posed for the crowd, as Del Rio laughed at him, as if to say "Really? You're better than me?" Instantly, Del Rio's demeanor changed as he charged forward and cold-cocked Morrison in the side of the head, hammering away at his face viciously. Morrison was down and Del Rio was beating the hell out of him, the referee finally pulling him off as Del Rio was fuming, showing the aggressiveness that lay within. He picked Morrison up and fired him into the corner, setting him up on the top rope. Del Rio then walked outside to the apron and grabbed a hold of Morrison's arm. He pulled downward, guillotining Morrison's arm on the ropes as Morrison sprang back into the ring, holding his arm in pain. Del Rio grinned sickly, injuring his target and was going to zero in on it. Morrison pushed the referee off, he didn't want to give up as Del Rio entered the ring, cocky as ever. He stomped at the arm repeatedly and locked in a side armbar, dragging Morrison down to the mat. He drove repeated knees into the elbow, continuing to just work away at the arm, keeping Morrison down on the mat, being in complete control. Morrison rolled forward onto his back, then rolled backwards, springing onto his feet, Del Rio still holding onto the arm. Morrison cartwheeled forward, but Del Rio STILL held onto the arm, until Morrison brought his foot up and blasted Del Rio in the side of the head, which sent him back into the ropes. Morrison hit a dropkick into Del Rio's face, sending him up and over the top to the outside, Morrison getting a small reprieve. Morrison got back to his feet and looked to the outside, Del Rio was getting back to his feet. Morrison grabbed the top rope and saulted over, but Del Rio sidestepped. Morrison landed on the apron and kicked Del Rio dead in the face, knocking him back. He leapt off with an asai moonsault, but Del Rio caught him in midair with an arm drag STRAIGHT out of the air to the floor below, Morrison screaming in pain, holding his arm as the referee checked on him. Del Rio pushed the referee away and picked Morrison up, long darting him into the steel post shoulder first! Finally, the ref was able to get Del Rio to get back into the ring as he checked on Morrison, asking if he wanted to surrender. Morrison shook his head defiantly, and slowly got to his feet, a look of intensity on his face was masking the pain he was feeling, as a cocky Del Rio called him on. Morrison got back up to the apron, essentially with one arm and entered the ring, as Del Rio zeroed in on the weak spot, kicking and hammering away on it, until Morrison was able to rally back with his free hand, punching and kicking away, knocking Del Rio back! Morrison ran off the ropes but got a knee to the midsection, as Del Rio drilled him down with an armbreaker DDT! He could've separated Morrison's shoulder right there, as he rolled him up for the cover. 1.... 2.... no! Morrison fought out of it. Del Rio didn't seem too bothered by this as he picked Morrison up and threw him to the corner. He grabbed Morrison's weak arm and draped it over the top rope and began to pull it underneath, posting Morrison's body back with his foot. The referee got to four before Del Rio broke the hold, then pulled Morrison out. He then sent Morrison shoulder first between the ropes, straight into the ring post! "Come on referee, get in there!" "He's not doing anything illegal Monsoon, don't be crying because Morrison can't take it. He's a champion, he's got to be able to dish it out as well as take it." "Yeah but Jesse, this is ridiculous, he's trying to break his arm!" Del Rio then quickly went for the cross arm breaker and locked it in, but Morrison rolled toward the injured arm on top of Del Rio, punching away at his face with his free hand, breaking the hold. Morrison got back up and clotheslined him down with his free arm, then came off the ropes with a spinning leg lariat, and a standing shooting star press. 1..... 2..... no, Del Rio fought out of it. He got back to his feet and was sent off the ropes by Morrison, who delivered a back body drop. Del Rio quickly got back to his feet as Morrison went for the Flying Chuck, but Del Rio ducked underneath it, pointing to his head, saying he was smart. Del Rio went to Morrison's head to pick him up, but Morrison brought his foot up and kicked Del Rio straight between the eyes, knocking him down and out, as he rolled over, getting an arm over him. 1..... 2..... no! Del Rio still kicked out, but was still knocked senseless. Morrison got to his feet as Del Rio was on his knees, Morrison delivered a punt kick straight to the chest, springing Del Rio to his feet, reeling back into the corner. Morrison charged in with a spinning heel kick which knocked Del Rio down, as he was in perfect ring positioning for Starship Pain. Morrison had one arm but two legs, as he leapt high into the air and springboarded off the top, connecting with the splash! He hooked the leg for 1..... 2...... no! Del Rio's foot had found the bottom rope! Morrison grabbed Del Rio by the arm and dragged him to the center of the ring, but Del Rio pulled him forward and rolled Morrison up! 1..... 2..... no! Morrison barely kicked out of it, almost being caught by surprise as the two men got back up. Morrison kicked Del Rio low and went for the Moonlight Drive, but Del Rio delivered an elbow to the injured arm of Morrison, and locked in the cross arm breaker! Morrison was in trouble, but rolled towards Del Rio, covering him and hooking the head with his free arm! 1..... 2..... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, John Morrison!" John Morrison hit a surprise victory over Del Rio, who went to the well just one time too many, as Morrison was able to quickly counter the cross arm breaker into a pinning predicament, just squeaking by Del Rio as he was now in the semi finals. Del Rio was incensed to say the least, being embarrassed in his first night in NWA, as Morrison was handed his US Title, two matches under his belt, he just had one more tonight if he wanted to win. "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a quarter final contest scheduled for one fall!" (Play Hardy) "Introducing first, The Charismatic Enigma, Jeff Hardy!" (Play Cena) "And his opponent, John Cena!" Jeff Hardy charged forward at Cena before the bell rang, but Cena scouted this and back body dropped him over the top straight to the floor below! Cena wasn't about to be another victim as he went to the outside and tossed Hardy into the stairs, then the railing, then finally into the ring, covering for a two count. He threw Hardy to the corner and charged in with a clothesline, setting up for the F-U! Hardy quickly slid out of it and flew from the ring, scared shitless as he couldn't even touch Cena at this juncture. Cena slid out of the ring and grabbed Hardy by the hair, blasting him face first into the ring post, and then back into the ring, Hardy continuing to backpedal away. Hardy backed into the corner and went to kick at Cena, but John caught his foot and pulled him out of the corner. Hardy hit the mule kick, knocking Cena back, finally giving him some space, as he pulled himself back into the corner. Cena charged forward and went for a spear in the corner, but Hardy moved out of the way, Cena's shoulder smacking the post. Hardy rolled him up quickly but only for two. Hardy saw a weak spot and started targeting the left shoulder, locking in a cross arm breaker, keeping Cena down. Cena reached for the rope and got it, forcing the break, but Hardy continued to crank up the pressure, until the referee pulled Jeff off. Cena got back up and charged forward, but Hardy hit a drop toe hold and immediately dropped elbows and knees on the weakened arm, turning him around and locking in a short arm scissor. Cena was in this hold for a while, Jeff screaming at him to tap out and leave NWA to him. Cena rolled toward his arm, pressing Hardy's shoulders to the mat for two, but Jeff rolled back, putting more pressure on the arm. Cena did it again, and once again got a two count, but this time, got to his feet, and lifted Jeff off the mat, high into the air! Hardy broke the hold and came down Cena's back, turning him around and kicking him low, going for the Twist of Fate! Cena countered this by pushing Jeff back and going for the STF! Jeff frantically got to the ropes and pulled himself out of the ring as Cena got back to his feet, an adrenaline rush surging through him, although still favoring that arm. Jeff took a nine count before rolling in and rolling back out, making Cena wait. He took another nine count and broke the count once again, Cena starting to get frustrated as he chased after Hardy. Jeff ran to the other side of the ring and rolled inside, waiting to ambush him when he came in. Cena rolled in after him as Jeff came from the other side and went for a cross body block, but Cena caught him in mid air and hit a fallaway slam, Jeff rolling to the outside in pain. Cena went back to the outside and rammed his head into the apron before tossing him back into the ring, hitting a vertical suplex, then a fisherman's suplex, and an atomic drop before finally taking Jeff down with a monster of a clothesline. Hardy pulled himself up in the corner, seeing Cena charge at him and lifted a boot straight into Cena's face, knocking him back. He quickly ascended the top rope and leapt off with a missile dropkick, taking Cena down. He went for the cover, 1.... 2.... no! Cena kicked out, but Hardy was still on the offensive, going back to the top rope. He leapt off this time with a flying back elbow to Cena's jaw, taking him down again, and rolling for another cover. 1.... 2.... no! Cena kicked out again! Hardy picked Cena back up and shot him into the corner, but was reversed. Jeff quickly leapt to the top and went for Whisper in the Wind, but Cena caught him in midair and powerbombed him straight to the mat, Jeff's body bouncing off the canvas! He hooked the leg, 1.... 2.... no! Somehow, Hardy kicked out of that one! Cena rose his hand up in the air, "You can't see me!" as he came off the rope for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Hardy got out of the way, Cena punching nothing but canvas. He quickly rose up, shaking his hand in pain as Jeff Hardy grabbed him and launched him shoulder first into the post again, Cena coming out in pain. He kicked Cena low and hit the Twist of Fate, hooking the leg! 1.... 2.... NO! Cena kicked out somehow, Hardy couldn't believe it! He ran to the outside and grabbed a steel chair, bringing it into the ring, as the referee told him not to do it. He pushed the referee down and wound up heavy, but Cena countered with a chain-wrapped fist to the face, knocking Hardy clean out, as he quickly tossed the chain away! He covered him for 1.... 2..... 3-NO! Hardy was barely able to get his shoulder off the mat as he was busted wide open from the chain shot. Cena could barely get to his feet as Hardy saw his own blood and exploded in anger, charging full speed at Cena, just wailing away at him with punches and kicks in the corner as the referee was forced to pull him off. Cena walked out of the corner groggy as Hardy hit ANOTHER Twist of Fate in the center of the ring, but didn't go for the cover. Instead he went to the top rope and rose his middle finger in the air, mocking John Cena by doing it with just the finger. "You can't BEAT me!" He leapt off the rope for the Swanton, but missed it as Cena rolled out of the way, Hardy crashing into the mat! Cena rolled over Jeff, getting an arm over him! 1..... 2..... NO! Jeff still kicked out of it! Cena rose up slowly and waited for Jeff to get to his feet as Jeff turned around and was loaded up for the F-U! Hardy fought out of it and turned Cena around for another Twist of Fate, but as Jeff turned, Cena lifted him straight into the air and hit a REVERSE F-U, driving Hardy's bloody face into the canvas! He rolled Hardy over and covered for 1..... 2..... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, John Cena!!" Somehow, John Cena was able to pull off the victory over a very game Jeff Hardy, as Cena was one step closer to regaining his career in NWA, and a world title shot at any time he wanted, as he headed to the back, Jeff Hardy was just starting to come to, coming within inches of beating Cena again, but this time, Cena got the three count. "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a quarter-final match with the winner to face John Morrison in the semi-finals!" (Play Flair) "Introducing first, "The Nature Boy", Ric Flair!" (Play Sting) "And his opponent, "The Icon", Sting!" This was definitely a tough match for the fans, as half of them were chanting "We want Flair", and the other half, "We want Sting". The bell rang as both men locked up in the center of the ring, Sting taking Flair down with a headlock takedown, keeping him on the mat. Flair was able to squirm out and grab Sting's arm from behind, locking a hammerlock on while still on the mat, as Sting rose to his feet, trying to break the hold. He grabbed Flair's leg and tripped him, but was quickly kicked off to the ropes. Sting ran and jumped over Flair, who got back to his feet and hip tossed Sting down hard. He turned around and started to style and profile when Sting got back to his feet behind Flair. Flair turned around and quickly fell to his knees begging off, as Sting called out to the crowd. He picked Flair up, but was caught with a thumb to the eye, as Flair locked in a side headlock. He switched to a hammerlock, then to another headlock, then to a drop toe hold in one swift motion, bringing Sting down to the mat, then blasted his knee into the canvas twice. Sting held his knee in pain as he got back to his feet, kicking Flair away. Flair hit a signature reverse knife edge on Sting and threw him out of the corner, but was reversed, going up and over the top! Flair landed on the apron and ran to the far corner, leaping off with a double ax but getting clotheslined for his efforts. He got back to his feet and was clotheslined out of the ring, and landed on his feet! He walked for a little bit and then fell flat on his face, being knocked senseless. Sting followed him out and chopped at Flair, who retaliated with one of his own, a chop war ensuing between the two. Flair again caught the advantage with a thumb to the eye as he rolled Sting back into the ring, kicking at the leg again. He went for the figure four early, but Sting caught him in a quick small package for two. Sting got back to his feet and was met with a reverse knife edge from Flair to no effect. Flair delivered another one with the same result, as Sting was getting pumped up, slapping his own face, telling Flair to deliver his best shot. Flair came off the ropes and was caught by Sting who military pressed him over his head and dropped him down with a body slam. Flair got up in the corner as Sting leapt for the Stinger Splash, but missed, as Flair got out of the way and rolled Sting up! 1.... 2.... NO! Sting was able to kick out, the match with Vader still having an effect on him. Flair chopped at him again and hip tossed him out of the corner, dropping a knee onto Sting's head and then went right back to the leg, pulling at it and elbow dropping it a couple times, the ref asking if Sting wanted to give it up. Sting said no and tried to fight out of the leg grapevine, but Flair broke it up and continued to work the leg with a spinning leg lock. Sting kicked Flair off the ropes and quickly shot to his feet, hitting a leaping clothesline, but couldn't capitalize because of the pain in his knee. The fans started to rally behind Sting as he tried to get back to his feet, Flair already in the corner recuperating. Sting charged forward, hitting a clothesline, then mounted Flair for a ten punch, hitting all ten of them as Flair pulled out of the corner. Sting picked him up and hit a back body drop, then a backbreaker, AND a stalling vertical suplex all in succession, going for the Scorpion Deathlock! Sting had it halfway applied when Flair pulled at his hair, flipping him over and breaking the hold. He threw Sting off the ropes and went for a back body drop, but Sting hit a massive knee lift, Flair getting hit straight in the nose, rocking him back. He took a clothesline down and was covered, but kicked out at two. Sting got back to his feet and picked Flair up, who came out of nowhere with an inverted atomic drop, and then a reverse knife edge chop to knock Sting down, who got right back up! Flair chopped him down again, and again Sting rose up immediately! Flair kicked Sting in the gut and tossed him to the ropes, but was reversed. Sting went for a big boot, but Flair ducked underneath and chop blocked Sting from behind, quickly grabbing the leg and strutting a little bit before locking in the figure four! The fans exploded in the image rich in NWA tradition as again, Flair had Sting in the figure four in the center of the ring, Sting fighting to get out of it. He rolled over to the left, but Flair was fighting it hard, trying to prevent Sting from rolling him over. Sting then shifted his weight to the right, trying to use momentum to get Flair over, but still couldn't do it. He tried one more time to the left, and was ALMOST over, when Flair brought him back down to the mat, having the figure four synched in tight. The ref counted Sting's shoulders down 1.... 2.... NO! Sting rose up, forgetting that his shoulders were down. Flair screamed at him to tap as once again, Sting tried to roll over, but couldn't get it done. The ref counted his shoulders down again 1.... 2.... NO! Sting rose up again, a look of intensity on his face, as in one swift motion, he rolled to the left and reversed the figure four onto Flair! Flair screamed out in agony, cursing audibly as he didn't want to surrender. Flair rolled Sting back onto his back into the ropes, forcing the referee to break the hold as Flair and Sting both gingerly got back to their feet. Flair charged full speed at Sting and went to shoulder block him, but it was like running into a brick wall as Sting just stood there, going for the Scorpion Deathlock once again! Flair kicked him off into the corner and rolled back to his feet, charging in, but Sting moved out from the corner, running off the ropes and connecting with a big time Stinger Splash! He rolled Flair up in a small package for 1..... 2..... 3-NO! No? Flair kicked out of the Stinger Splash? Sting couldn't believe it as he looked up at the referee, convinced that it was indeed a three count, as Flair slowly started to stir, grabbing Sting's tights and rolling him up, hooking the tights! 1.... 2.... NO! Sting kicked out but barely, getting back to his feet and launching Flair into the corner again, hitting ANOTHER Stinger Splash, then pulled Flair out of the corner and connected with the Scorpion Death Drop! He covered Flair for 1.... 2.... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, "The Icon", Sting!" Another great match for Sting and Ric Flair in NWA, as it took Sting two Stinger Splashes and a Scorpion Death Drop to beat Flair on this occasion, as the two men shook hands in mutual respect, Flair leaving the ring to allow Sting only but a moment of glory, Sting had one more match tonight, and three more in total if he wanted to win G1, as Sting left the ring, calling out to the crowd as he headed through the curtain, the last of the quarter-finals was about to begin.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is the last quarter-final matchup scheduled for one fall, with the winner to face John Cena in the semi-finals!" (Play CM Punk) "Introducing first, CM Punk!" The crowd started to chant "Punk is Next! Punk is Next!" Punk immediately discounted these chants as he was 100% focused on his adversary. (Play Goldberg) "And his opponent, Goldberg!" The two men locked up in the center of the ring as Punk was pushed down to the mat, Goldberg easily overpowering him. They locked up again with the same result, this time Punk being sent to the outside of the ring, trying to regain himself. Goldberg stood in the center of the ring, unmoving, establishing his dominance as Punk hit the apron on a count of four, cautiously getting back into the ring. They locked up again and Punk quickly hit the ground, dropping Goldberg with a drop toe hold. Goldberg sprang up in anger as Punk backed into the corner. Goldberg charged in but Punk got out of there and hammered away quickly on Goldberg. He was pushed out and started to pepper Goldberg with left and right jabs. Goldberg swung hard, but Punk ducked it and connected with elbows to the head and kicks to the legs and chest. Goldberg swung again and Punk ducked underneath him, hitting a rising knee to Goldberg's chin, knocking him into the ropes. Punk ran forward and was backdropped over, but landed on the apron. When Goldberg turned around, Punk springboarded off the top and connected with a knee to the jaw, knocking him down. He got a quick one count before he was powered off. Goldberg charged at him with a clothesline, but Punk ducked it and dropkicked Goldberg through the ropes to the outside, Goldberg landing on his feet. Punk was unable to get touched, he was way too fast for Goldberg as he came off the ropes from the far side and hit a suicide dive through the ropes, taking Goldberg down. He rolled back into the ring and told the referee to start counting. He got to a six before Goldberg charged back into the ring and went to run straight through Punk, but Punk leapfrogged over him, going to hip toss him on the return. Goldberg was able to counter it into a hip toss of his own, slamming Punk down hard on the mat. He pulled himself up in the corner as Goldberg charged forward like a freight train, but Punk got out of the way, Goldberg hitting the turnbuckle hard, Punk rolling him up for a two! "What do you make of this, Jesse?" "It's simple, Gorilla, we all know Goldberg's a destruction machine, but that doesn't mean anything if you can't CATCH your adversary. Punk's gotta use his speed and quickness to neutralize any offense Goldberg can bring, because if Goldberg can't touch you, he can't Jackhammer you." Indeed, Punk was unable to be touched, he knew that he couldn't let Goldberg get a hold of him, or he'd be done. He locked Goldberg into a side headlock, but Goldberg picked him up and launched him across the ring, Punk able to land on his feet! Goldberg charged forward, but Punk intercepted him with a stiff kick to the temple, the same exact kick that took Psicosis down. Goldberg however, remained on his feet, Punk started to punch at his head, hitting a spinning backhand, then went for another kick to the head, but Goldberg caught his leg and roared, hitting a capture suplex, almost bending Punk in half. He picked Punk up and shot him into the corner, coming in with a big time clothesline. He grabbed Punk by the throat and then pressed him over his head, walking out from under him, letting him drop. Punk was able to get his feet under himself and land on his feet, chop blocking Goldberg from behind! He quickly went to the legs, keeping Goldberg down, as he went for a figure four. Goldberg kicked him off, straight over the top rope to the outside. Punk was undeterred as he grabbed Goldberg's weak wheel and slammed it into the ring apron a couple times, keeping him down. He slid back into the ring for a cover, only for two. Punk was keeping Goldberg down, using his speed and quickness to neutralize any offense Goldberg had, as Goldberg rose to his feet and pushed Punk to the ropes. Punk came off with a shoulder block, but Goldberg stood tall. He came off with a flying elbow, Goldberg still stood. He went for a cross body block, but Goldberg caught him and put him over his shoulder, going for a front powerslam. Punk was able to slide his way out and kicked Goldberg in the back of the knee, then sent him shoulder first into the ring post, moving the ring! Punk called for the end, going for the Anaconda Vice, but Goldberg elbowed him in the head, breaking the attempt. He grabbed onto Punk's hand and went to shoot him off the ropes, but pulled back and hit a short arm clothesline. Punk got back to his feet quickly, but was wobbly. He walked forward into a back body drop, a snap suplex, then a release German suplex, Goldberg was rallying back. He charged for a spear, but Punk jumped over him and rolled him up! 1.... 2.... no! Goldberg was able to get out of it as Punk came off the ropes, going for a spinning heel kick, but was caught in mid air and powerbombed down to the mat, Goldberg hooking the legs. 1.... 2.... no! Punk got his shoulder off the mat somehow. Goldberg hooked Punk up for the Jackhammer and got him up, but his shoulder gave out, Punk able to go up and over on him, turning him around and connecting with a knockout roundhouse kick straight between his eyes. Goldberg hit the mat lifeless as Punk went to cover... 1.... 2.... NO! Goldberg had kicked out, despite being knocked silly. He wobbled up to his feet as Punk went for the GTS, but Goldberg was able to fight out of it, pushing Punk to the ropes and connecting with a knee to the midsection, Punk flipping all the way over the knee. Punk was on his knees as Goldberg kicked him in the chest, rising him up as Goldberg hit a scoop powerslam on Punk, staying on top of him. 1.... 2.... no! Punk kicked out again, back and forth action throughout the match. Goldberg was back in the driver's seat as he roared at the crowd and hit one of the corners, poising for the spear. Punk turned around and sidestepped Goldberg as he charged, sending him into the post again! Punk then ran forward and hit Goldberg with a knee, chaining it into his bulldog. He covered him for 1.... 2.... NO! Punk picked up Goldberg and turned him around, going for the GTS, lifting him off the mat, when Jeff Hardy came down the aisle at full speed, getting up on the apron! Punk immediately dropped Goldberg and swung at Jeff, ALMOST getting him but Hardy jumped off the apron before Punk could get his hands on him. Punk was shouting something at Hardy when he turned around into the spear from Goldberg! Punk was almost split in half as Goldberg signalled for the Jackhammer, picking Punk up and sending him high into the air, coming down with it in the center of the ring for 1.... 2.... 3. "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner and advancing to the semi-finals, Goldberg!" Jeff Hardy slowly walked up the ramp, quietly laughing to himself as CM Punk rolled out of the ring, staring up the ramp in anger, Goldberg celebrating in the ring. Punk got back to his feet and started to run after Hardy, but didn't get very far as he fell to his hands and knees, the spear and the jackhammer still taking its toll as Jeff slowly walked away to the backstage area, getting ANOTHER mental victory over CM Punk. Goldberg continued to celebrate in the ring as the standings were now, John Morrison vs. Sting, and John Cena vs. Goldberg. Goldberg looked up at the tron and pointed all the way to the crown icon on the screen, looking into the camera and saying "Cena... you're next!" "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a semi-final matchup scheduled for one fall!" (Play Morrison) "Introducing first, the NWA United States Champion, John Morrison!" (Play Sting) "And his opponent, "The Icon" Sting!" Sting and Morrison looked at each other as Morrison extended his hand to Sting in a matter of respect as Sting shook it, but Morrison kicked Sting in the gut, getting the quick advantage! Fans booed at this, as Sting threw him to the ropes and hip tossed him hard, Morrison got back to his feet and shrugged his shoulders as if to say "Hey, you would've done it too." Sting smirked at him, as the two locked up in the middle of the ring, Sting going to the side headlock. Morrison was able to squirm out of it and go to a hammerlock, which Sting reversed into a hammerlock of his own. Morrison grabbed Sting's head and leapt up, over and behind him, hooking in a quick sleeper hold, which Sting broke by sending him off the ropes. Sting hit the ground as Morrison leapt over him, Sting leapfrogging on the return, hitting Morrison with a standing dropkick as Morrison came from the other side. He went for a quick cover, getting a two before Morrison rolled back to his feet, Sting being right on top of him, not allowing him to get any time to breathe. He sent Morrison to the ropes again but pulled back, going for a short arm clothesline, but Morrison ducked underneath it and hit a side kick to Sting's face, pushing him back. He then hit a Lou Thesz press and started punching away at his head until Sting pushed him off. Morrison got back to his feet and hit a dropkick, taking Sting down. They both got back up and Morrison hit another dropkick to Sting's face, as both men rose up again. Morrison hit a THIRD dropkick, Sting being taken straight out of the ring as Morrison had the crowd rolling. Sting got back to his feet and took a baseball slide to the chest, crashing back first into the railing, Morrison having all the momentum. Sting walked forward, holding his back, as Morrison leapt over the top rope with a corkscrew tope, taking Sting down. He rose to his feet and posed for the crowd, some cheering, some booing, but all taking camera shots, as he picked Sting up and rolled him inside. He went for a cover, but only got a two. He sat Sting up and placed him in a reverse chinlock, posting his back with his knee. Morrison got up and drove the knee repeatedly into the back, keeping Sting on the mat. The crowd started to rally for Sting as he slowly got to his feet, decking Morrison a few times in the stomach to break the hold, but Morrison wouldn't falter. He then locked Morrison's head and hit a modified Stone Cold Stunner, breaking the hold, as Morrison rolled to his stomach, holding his chin in pain. Sting slowly rose up to his feet and closed the distance, picking Morrison up, who answered with a right hand to Sting, who answered with one of his own. The two traded bombs back and forth, fighting back to the center of the ring until Sting fired Morrison over the top to the outside, Morrison landed on the apron. He jumped over the top and flipped, hooking in a hurricanrana onto Sting, hooking the legs! 1.... 2.... no! Sting kicked out! Morrison hit the ropes and springboarded with a cross body block, but Sting ducked underneath, actually able to get an arm drag out of it and locked in an armbar, the crowd applauding that excellent counter. Sting had the pace of the match slowed down as he was working on the arm, keeping Morrison down. The ref asked Morrison if he wanted to give it up, the answer obviously being no as Morrison nipped up to his feet and reversed it, hitting an arm wringer on Sting. Sting used the opportunity to pull Morrison in and hit a rolling spinebuster, taking him down. He covered him for a two count, then brought him up in the corner, hammering away on him. He launched Morrison to the other side, who jumped up to the top and came off with a moonsault, catching Sting by surprise! 1.... 2.... NO! Sting almost didn't get out of that as Morrison took him down with a side elbow and hit a standing shooting star press. 1.... 2.... no! Sting still kicked out. Morrison was taking the fight to the Stinger as he hit a climb up enziguiri to the back of Sting's head, taking him down again. He dragged Sting over to the corner and leapt for Starship Pain, coming off, but Sting's foot rose and caught Morrison right in the face, knocking him straight out! Sting couldn't capitalize as both men were down, the referee beginning his count. Both men started to stir at a count of six, both men getting up at eight. Morrison was up first, hitting a dropkick into Sting's face, knocking him to the corner, as Morrison came from the other side, and hit... a Stinger Splash! Sting came out of the corner enraged, as he lit up Morrison with chops and punches and kicks, just completely destroying the hell out of him, sending him to the ropes and back body dropping him. Morrison rose up and was clotheslined over the top to the outside, right in front of the announcer's table. Sting was pissed as he blasted Morrison's face into the announce table, then threw him into the stairs, unhinging them, taking Morrison down. He threw him into the ring and got back in himself. Morrison started to get back to his feet as Sting grabbed him and hit a vertical suplex, holding him in the air for five seconds before dropping him down, floating over for the cover. 1.... 2.... no! Morrison kicked out, but was picked up immediately and hit with a northern lights suplex! 1.... 2.... no! Sting was undeterred as he threw Morrison to the corner and charged in with a big time clothesline, and then a bulldog! He called out to the crowd as he set Morrison up for the Scorpion Death Drop! Morrison reached up and grabbed Sting's head and leapt up, hitting a high angle snap mare, breaking the hold! Sting rolled up in the corner as Morrison charged forward and leapt for another splash, but Sting got out of the way, Morrison landed on the second rope. He jumped up and leapt backwards with a cross body, but Sting caught him and powerslammed him hard, hooking the legs! 1.... 2.... NO! Morrison STILL kicked out! Sting couldn't believe it and even questioned the referee, not believing what just happened, as Morrison held his back in pain. Sting picked Morrison up and fired him into the corner, going for the Stinger Splash, but missed as he hit the turnbuckles! Morrison ran behind Sting and went for the Nitro Blast, but Sting caught his foot and pushed him down, quickly locking in the Scorpion Deathlock! Morrison had nowhere to go as he was stuck in the middle of the ring, frantically fighting to get to the ropes. Sting had this locked on nice and tight as the crowd continued to erupt, until finally, Morrison tapped out to Sting! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner by submission, "The Icon", Sting!" Sting was in the finals of Block B, after three hard-fought matches tonight, each one getting harder and harder as Morrison was helped up to his feet, holding his back in pain. Sting went outside and grabbed the US Title, handing it to Morrison and shaking his hand in a great show of respect, allowing Morrison to have the stage as Sting quietly bowed out in victory, heading to the back. Morrison looked on at Sting until from behind, Hakushi hit him in the back of the head with a kendo stick, taking him down! He leapt up to the top rope and hit a body splash right onto his back, once again sending a message to Morrison! He quickly left the ring and escaped through the crowd. "What is that? What a Pearl Harbor job by that man!" "He's making a statement, Monsoon, he wants that US Title, and I think that he'll get it sooner or later, he's been staying one step ahead of Morrison." "What happened?" "What do you mean what happened, Brain? It was right in front of you." "I was doing my job and paying attention to my monitor, and I didn't see anything on it." "I'll make you pay attention to me knocking you out if you don't knock it off." "I didn't do anything, it was Hakushi!" "I thought you said you didn't see anything!" "I didn't! I'm going by what you just said." "Oh, give me a break... we're gonna take you back to Todd Grisham, because I can't take it anymore! Take it away, please, Todd!" "WHO?" "Ladies and gentlemen, my guest at this time... John Cena. John, you're about to step into the ring against a man who leaves a path of dominance in his wake, Bill Goldberg. Also notwithstanding, there's a lot of pressure on you, because if you lose any match of this tournament, you're out of NWA for good." "You see, let's just stop right there for a minute. Everyone right now is talkin' about Bill Goldberg. Well, check this out: Let's look at what's happened tonight, what happens when John Cena comes to fight. I went to the ring, and Drew tried to take me down, but that's not how it works when you gamble in town. I put Drew down, put him in his place, and then later, I broke Jeff Hardy's face. For Goldberg, it's about winning, and for me, it's for survival. Because John Cena's career in NWA is in the middle of a revival. So sit down Todd, grab some popcorn, and enjoy yourself out there. Because rest assured John Cena isn't goin' anywhere. Word motherf*ckin' life!" "Ladies and gentlemen, this is the last semi-final matchup scheduled for one fall, with the winner to face Sting in the finals tomorrow night at Sin!" (Play Cena) "Introducing first, John Cena!" (Play Goldberg) "And his opponent, Goldberg!" The bell rang as the two men looked at each other eye to eye, a metaphoric Clash of the Champions indeed, as they backed away, cameras flashing everywhere. "Two ugly people just looking at each other, that's real exciting." "Will you knock it off, Heenan?" "What are you talkin' about, Heenan's right on the money, looking at your opponent's not gonna get it done, you've gotta get in there and fight!" "Don't make me throw you out of Nitro like I threw you out of Raw, Brain, same goes for you, Jess." The two men locked up in the center of the ring, jocking for position, both men trying to outmuscle the other one. Goldberg pushed Cena a step back, then Cena pushed Goldberg back, until Cena shoved Goldberg off, pushing him back a couple feet. Goldberg smirked at him and invited him back in, as they did it again, pushing like two wild bulls, testing each other's strength. Cena pushed Goldberg back almost to the corner, and then Goldberg launched Cena off, sending him on his ass, halfway across the ring. Cena looked up in disbelief, no one had ever manhandled him like that before. Goldberg stood in the center of the ring, defiant, as Cena came in with a right hand, Goldberg retaliating, both men just exchanging rights and lefts, as Cena went for a waistlock, pushing Goldberg off the ropes. Goldberg ran through Cena with a shoulder block, then picked him up and went for the Jackhammer, but Cena pushed him off and flew from the ring, Goldberg playing some mind games. Goldberg came outside and greeted Cena with a punch to the mouth, then sent him into the steps hard. He picked Cena up and dropped him chest first over the railing and then tossed him into the ring for a two count. Cena got back to his feet in the corner, as Goldberg charged in, firing Cena to the other side. He whipped him back to the near corner, back and forth to all four corners, working the back hard, as Cena held his back in pain, Goldberg finishing off with a backbreaker and a cover, only for two. He picked Cena up and pressed him over his head, then dropped him, catching him and slamming him down hard on the mat. Cena got back up and was clotheslined over the top to the outside, Cena was just utterly being dominated in the match. The referee started his count, and Cena wasn't about to get back up, but Goldberg broke up the count, telling the ref he didn't want to win that way and went outside to grab Cena. He tossed him back into the ring and locked in a bear hug, Goldberg establishing the dominance. Cena was trapped, he had two tough matches behind him as Goldberg only really had one, Goldberg was much fresher. Cena punched away at Goldberg's nose, making his eyes water, breaking the hold. He came off the ropes but was taken down by a stiff-arm clothesline, like running into a steel pipe. Cena couldn't get any offense in as Goldberg tossed him to the ropes and back body dropped him from high above, covering for still a two. He tossed Cena to the corner and charged in, but Cena got a foot up, blasting Goldberg in the face. He came off the second rope with a cross body, but was caught in midair and powerslammed down hard, Goldberg staying on top. 1.... 2.... no! Cena kicked out again! "All these near falls, guys, you wonder if this is taking some psychological toll on Cena." "You might be right, Monsoon, Cena hasn't been able to get any offense in." "Well if Eminem was smart, he'd have come out second. That way, when Goldberg was standing in the pyro, WHAM! Waffle him in the back of the head with the chain. Now he's just gonna go on a rap career that'll be as successful Goldberg trying to grow hair." "WILL YOU STOP?" Goldberg hooked up Cena and hit a delayed vertical suplex, dropping him down hard. He hit a headlock, then brought him over with a monster takedown, sitting him up and hitting a surfboard stretch, using his knee to post Cena's back. Cena was in major trouble as he got in little to no offense against the mighty Goldberg, Cena trying to rally up to his feet. He got to his feet, but Goldberg kicked him in the back and turned him around, hitting a big scoop slam. Goldberg stuck to his power game as he picked up Cena and whipped him with an Alabama Slam, Cena rolling out of the ring in pain. Goldberg was getting angry, Cena was taking all the time in the world to recover as he went to the outside, where Cena met him with a low blow, tossing him into the post, knocking him down. Cena got a burst of adrenaline and picked him up, hitting a fisherman's suplex on the outside, then tossing Goldberg back into the ring, covering for two. Cena was getting some momentum as he fired Goldberg's head into the turnbuckle twice, then hammered on his head and body with haymakers. Goldberg came out of the corner and received a hip toss, a dropkick, and a body slam all from Cena in succession. He picked Goldberg up and fired him into the corner and Goldberg lifted his boot, but Cena ducked underneath and grabbed Goldberg's legs from behind outside the ring, pulling him crotch first into the ring post! No one expected that from Cena as he was fired up, the adrenaline coursing through his body as Goldberg was slowly getting to his feet. Cena came off the ropes with a shoulder tackle, then another one. Goldberg got to his feet and swung wildly, Cena ducked underneath and hit the Protoplex, raising his hand in the air. "Don't waste any time you dumb ham and egger! Just do it!" "You can't see me!" Cena bounced off the ropes and was intercepted by the Spear from Goldberg!!! Goldberg covered him and hooked the legs, it was over! 1.... 2.... NO! Cena kicked out of the Spear, to Goldberg's disbelief! He got back up and argued with referee Charles Robinson, who constantly insisted that it was just a two count. Cena slowly got back up to his feet as Goldberg poised for another Spear, Cena rising up in the corner. Goldberg sprang forward as Cena sidestepped him, Goldberg hitting the post shoulder first! Cena got behind him and hit another Protoplex. "You can't see me!" Cena hit the ropes and connected with the Five Knuckle Shuffle and rose to his feet, picking Goldberg up and delivering the F-U! He quickly covered him for 1..... 2..... NO! Goldberg kicked out! Cena rolled to his back, exhausted, but determined as ever, he knew he had to do more to put Goldberg away. He pulled himself up by the ropes and waited for Goldberg to rise, lifting him up and delivering a reverse vertical suplex, driving Goldberg face and chest first down. He covered for 1..... 2..... NO! Goldberg wasn't done yet, as Cena looked to the top rope. He climbed up to the top and waited for Goldberg to get to his hands and knees, looking for that legdrop as he rose his hands up once again, shouting out "Word life, bitch!" He leapt off the top.... and was Speared in half again by Goldberg, intercepting him in mid air! Goldberg covered Cena for 1..... 2..... 3-NO!!! Damn it, somehow, Cena was still kicking out! Goldberg got up and picked the referee up, screaming at him that it was a three, and actually sat Charles Robinson on the top turnbuckle. He was furious, almost TELLING him that it was a three count, but the ref continued to insist that it was just a two! Goldberg went back over to Cena who answered with a low blow as the referee was getting back down off the rope, he didn't see anything, as Cena locked in the STF in the center of the ring! Goldberg was a long way to the ropes as he struggled, crawling inch by inch to get to them! Cena had this locked in perfectly, as Goldberg couldn't reach the ropes, starting to fade away. The ref was right there as he lifted Goldberg's hand, but it didn't drop, not even once, as he struggled and crawled............ finally getting the bottom rope, as Cena broke the hold. Cena laid on his back, cursing himself quietly as he couldn't put Goldberg away, an F-U, nor the STF could do it. He picked Goldberg back up and loaded him up again, hitting ANOTHER F-U, planting him hard! He couldn't capitalize as he was just as exhausted as Goldberg was, the two just being unable to beat each other. Cena crawled as best as he could and got an arm over Goldberg, he was sure this was it. 1.... 2.... NO! Goldberg kicked out of it! Cena sat up, looking up, starting to wonder if this was the end for him. He sat in the corner, thinking to himself if he could beat Goldberg, as Goldberg started to rise up. Cena picked him up for a third and final F-U, but Goldberg fought out of it. He threw Cena to the ropes, but Cena reversed it, Goldberg going for a third Spear, but Cena quickly hit the floor and hit a drop toe hold, locking in the STF again! Goldberg was NOWHERE near any of the ropes, and he wasn't going to get to them at all, Cena was determined, and had this locked in tight. Cena was heard screaming at Goldberg to tap, tap, tap, but Goldberg was unwavering in his determination. Goldberg actually pushed himself up, giving himself enough room to actually pull himself up to his foot, standing on one leg, with Cena still holding onto the STF! Goldberg jumped and fell backwards, crashing onto Cena, breaking the hold! Both men got back to their feet as Goldberg delivered a third Spear, springing up to his feet and signalling for it! The crowd rose to their feet as Goldberg lifted Cena up, cameras flashing everywhere... connecting with the Jackhammer! 1..... 2...... 3! "Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner.... Goldberg!" Bill Goldberg had beaten John Cena and advanced to the finals of the G1 tournament's second block. He had to go through two more matches if he wanted to win the entire thing as he headed to the back, Cena sitting up in quiet contemplation... Goldberg had just ended his career, officially, in NWA. Goldberg was up on the stage, and took one last look at Cena before turning to the cameraman and speaking out... "Sting... you're next!" Cena stood in the middle of the NWA ring for the last time, as the crowd gave him a standing ovation for an incredible career in NWA, being the first two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion since it's revival, being the first one to stand up to Jeff Jarrett, and now, finishing his career against one of the greatest in Bill Goldberg, as the show fades to black, NWA Sin is just 24 hours away...
