"Good evening everyone, welcome to Washington DC, welcome to the final war of 2010 World War! I"m Todd Grisham and standing here to my left, Bobby The Brain Heenan."
"You know I don't understand what's worse, the fact that this is essentially the end of the world or the fact that ROH has invaded NWA."
"Indeed Bobby if you take a second you can actually hear some of the fans as we speak..."
The cameras panned out to the crowd but on the hard screen was Sting whom was sitting within a dark room, just listening to the echoes as all you could see was his pale white face.
"Ooh now that's a scary site but lets get this show underway as we send it down to Justin Roberts."
"Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest, is the Angel's Battle Royal! Now in this contest, all the women will enter the ring, and the match will begin. The only way to be eliminated is to be thrown over the top, with both feet hitting the floor. The last Angel remaining in the ring will be the winner, and will receive an NWA Angel's Championship match at Starrcade!"
(Play out all women)
"Whoa whoa hold on there girls, before we start off tonight I told you all that I had a special guest ref whom is going to be supervising this match, and indeed I found one, someone whom is going to be impartial and is the only man that can handle all of you women at one time. So ladies, I introduce to you your special referee."
[Play Out]
It was the real man's man William Regal whom came down slowly, getting a rounding ovation from the crowd, almost smirking but would enter good and slow, looking at all the women and told them the rules of the match, letting it get started.
The match was about to begin when Vampress walked out and stood on the ramp, surveying the match, as she had a vested interest in it, wanting to know who her opponent at Starrcade would be first hand. The bell rang and all the women paired up, Victoria with Melina, Serena and Luna, Lita and MsChif, and Nattie with Beth. Beth picked Nattie up and launched her over the top, almost eliminating her early, but Nattie was able to hang on and slide back into the ring, taking Beth's power for granted. MsChif and Lita exchanged rights and lefts, the Scream Queen meeting the Queen of Extreme. Victoria was trying to attack Melina, but she was too quick as she continued to evade all her attacks, tripping her down and locking in a headlock, as Serena suplexed Luna down.
Beth picked Luna up by the hair and tossed her to the corner, charging in. Luna got a foot up though and nailed Beth square in the jaw, and answered with a clothesline, knocking the powerhouse down. Lita and MsChif clotheslined each other, both nipped up to their feet, and MsChif was able to catch Lita coming in with a drop toe hold that she chained into a double leg Muta Lock, wrenching back on Lita. This was broken up quickly by Natalya, who started to work on MsChif, backing her into the corner and choking her. On the other corner, Victoria was trying to eliminate Melina, as Serena came to her assistance, the two of them trying to get her out, as Melina was snake-like, coiling around the ropes, trying to stay in the match.
Luna pulled Serena off of them and punched her dead in the face, rocking her hard into the ropes. She picked her up and went to dump her out, but Serena poked her in the eye, blinding her, and tossed her over the top, Luna being the first Angel eliminated. Luna was not too happy about this, as the referees told her to leave the ringside area, as Serena backed into... Beth Phoenix. Serena turned around as fear overcame her eyes, as Beth picked her up and pressed her over her head. She moved towards the ropes, but was taken down by both Lita and Natalya, as they chop blocked both of her legs out from under her, Serena landing on top of her. MsChif jumped off the top rope with a splash on top of Beth, as Melina then hit a standing moonsault, follwed by Victoria leaping off the rope with a guillotine legdrop, all six of them trying to keep Beth down.
Serena got back to her feet and was tossed over the top by Victoria, asserting herself by saying "The bitch is here!", looking psychotic while doing so. Victoria then turned around and kept Beth down by locking in a boston crab, but this didn't last long as Beth powered out of it. Natalya tried her luck with the Sharpshooter, but couldn't even get it on as Beth powered out before Nattie could get it synched in, kicking Nattie into Victoria, knocking the two of them down. On the other side, MsChif and Melina were exchanging rights and lefts as Lita was taking a breather. Beth got back to her feet as she charged at MsChif and Melina, going to clothesline them both. Melina and MsChif though, BOTH bent backwards, Beth's clothesline missing both of them as Lita intercepted Beth with a dropkick to the face, knocking her back down again. The crowd cheered at MsChif and Melina's incredible display of flexibility, as they finally got back to their feet, only to be taken down by a cross body from Nattie, taking both of them down. Lita picked Nattie up and went for the Twist of Fate, nailing it in the center of the ring.
"What a dumb redheaded bimbo."
"Bobby! How dare you!"
"She's a moron! You've gotta throw them over the top, not knock them out! If she got a better education she'd have known that, but coming from Mexico, what'd you expect?"
"I'm gonna have you taken outta here."
"Yeah right nerd, you need me out here to show people that you actually hang around people with clout and money, not that you're some basement dwelling loser."
Lita went to pick up Nattie, who was dead weight from the Twist of Fate, but Lita was grabbed from behind by Beth, who flung her over the top, but Lita landed on the apron. Beth went to knock her off, but Lita slid under her legs and dropkicked her, ALMOST getting her out. Lita called to MsChif to help eliminate Beth, as they tried to get her up and over. Beth headbutted Lita and punched MsChif in the face, breaking up any attempt at elimination. On the other side, Victoria was trying to get Melina out, their history dating back a long ways, as Melina was almost out. Melina landed on the apron and kicked Victoria hard in the gut, but was answered with a stiff punch to the face, Melina barely holding onto the rope. She punched Victoria again in the head, turning her around. Out of nowhere, Beth Phoenix charged in with a clothesline, which Victoria ducked, but Melina didn't, knocking her off the apron and out to the floor. Victoria then ran to the other side and attempted to charge at Beth, but she was back body dropped OVER the top rope, right onto Melina, Beth eliminated two women in a matter of ten seconds.
It was down to four as Natalya started to stir as Beth closed in on Lita and MsChif in the corner, trying to eliminate both of them. She easily tossed both of them over, but both of them landed on the apron. Lita sunset flipped over Beth, but couldn't get her over, as MsChif spat the green mist in her face, causing Beth to let go of the rope and get taken over by Lita, MsChif flying over the top rope and splashing down on Beth. MsChif got up and screamed out loud, but was quickly taken down by a stiff spinning clothesline from Natalya, who was back in the fray. Lita kicked Natalya in the gut, going for ANOTHER Twist of Fate, but Nattie had it scouted and pushed her off, answering Lita coming in with a stiff shoulder block. She dropped an elbow on her head as Nattie rose up, being the only one on her feet. Beth got back to her feet as she stared a hole at Natalya, who refused to back down, calling Beth on. From behind though, MsChif climbed up on Beth, locking in a sleeper hold, as Lita got back to her feet, trying to help take her down by dropkicking her knees. MsChif let go of the hold as Nattie dropkicked Beth in the face, taking her down, as all three women tried to keep her down.
MsChif whispered something to Lita, as they went to opposite corners of the ring, and ascended the top ropes. Lita did her signatue pose as MsChif screamed out to the heavens as they both leapt off with a DOUBLE moonsault onto a prone Beth Phoenix, the crowd exploding in delight over what they just saw!!
"Wow!!! What a pair of maneuvers, Bobby!"
"I've never seen anything like that, stereo moonsaults from two fantastic female wrestlers. This is what I love to see."
"The only thing you love to see is a fat stack of cash."
"That's not a problem, is it?"
MsChif and Lita got to their feet, holding their stomachs in pain, as Nattie took the two of them down with a double clothesline, once again, being the only one on her feet. This didn't seem to be too bright as, somehow, Beth Phoenix was moving, and getting back to her feet, and Nattie knew she couldn't take her one on one, nor could any other woman. Nattie did the smart thing and ascended the second rope and came off with a double ax to Beth's back, keeping her down, as MsChif and Lita got back to their feet. They clotheslined Nattie back down to the mat then started to go at each other once again! MsChif came off the ropes and leapt with a cross body block, which Lita ducked out of the way of. When MsChif got back up, Lita went for a Twist of Fate, but when she turned, MsChif turned the other way, and in a flash, grabbed her arm and locked it with her leg, and set up for the Desecrator! She hit it in an instant, the fans not even having time to take camera shots, it was that fast.
All four women were down as the crowd started to rumble, as Vampress was now half way down the ramp, looking even closer at all four of these VERY credible contenders to her title. The first one to her feet was MsChif, followed by Beth Phoenix. MsChif charged in with a clothesline, but couldn't take Beth down. She ran off the ropes and hit another one, Beth still standing. MsChif screamed at the top of her lungs and ran off the ropes one more time, and leapt for a cross body. This was a mistake, as Beth caught her in mid air and held her. She backed up near the ropes and did a fallaway slam, sending MsChif over the top, right to the floor below, MsChif hitting the mat hard, being eliminated emphatically! The fans booed at this, MsChif being one of the favorites to win, as she received an ovation when she got back to her feet.
Beth zeroed in on her remaining two adversaries as they got to their feet, having to work together to get rid of the dominant Beth. They both charged at her and rocked her back to the ropes, trying to get her up and over. Lita and Nattie picked her up by the legs and tried to get her over, but Beth was just too powerful, as she pushed the two of them off. Lita came flying back with a spinning heel kick that rocked Beth hard, as Lita tried getting her over! The crowd was into it as Beth was halfway over! Lita almost had her out, as the crowd was willing her on wildly, but Beth was able to somehow get back into the match, tossing Lita over the top, Lita ALMOST being eliminated, having one foot hit the ground. Beth turned around into a dropkick from Nattie, as Lita was getting back to her feet, she pulled the top rope down, causing Beth to fall over and hit the ground, being eliminated!
The crowd exploded, as Beth Phoenix was eliminated, with a little bit of help from Lita, albeit unintentional. Nattie punched at Lita, who refused to let go, as she shoulder blocked Nattie and came back into the ring. They charged at each other and hit a double clothesline, both girls going down, as the crowd rumbled again. Lita got back to her feet and took her shirt off, climbing the top rope for another Litasault. She leapt off, but Nattie was able to roll out of the way, Lita crashing into the canvas! She got back to her feet and held her stomach, and was clotheslined up and over the top, hitting the ground, being eliminated as the bell rang!
"Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner and No. 1 contender, Natalya!"
Natalya finally was going to get her shot at Vampress at Starrcade, as she had won the battle royal, outlasting seven other excellent contenders, as the Angel's Champion entered the ring, applauding slowly. Natalya walked forward as Vampress held her hands up, wanting no trouble. She simply extended her hand, as Natalya shook it, the match officially being set in stone, as Vampress walked out, blowing Nattie a kiss, raising her Angel's Championship in confidence, as Natalya motioned around her waist, telling her that she would be the new champion.
The cameras would move back towards the back as Ricky Steamboat was sparring a bit, preparing for his match against Punk and Sting though didn't want to be bothered with any post match commontary.
"Ladies and gentlemen, this is tag team turmoil! The rules are as follows: two teams will enter the match and the match will begin. Once a team has been eliminated, another team will enter the ring, and the match will continue. This will continue until all the teams have been entered into the match. The last remaining team will be the winners and will earn a No. 1 contender's match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship at Starrcade!"
The crowd popped, being excited for the match.
"And now ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to introduce to you..." Justin Roberts shook his head in disbelief... "...the greatest World Tag Team Champions in professional wrestling history, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase, Priceless!"
(Play Priceless)
"Well, how about this, Brain? We're gonna have the NWA Tag Team Champs come on out and join us on commentary for this match!"
"I think it's great, the tag champs are gonna scout out their competition and provide us with a little insight on each team, this will be fantastic."
Priceless came down and shook hands with Todd and Bobby as they put on headsets and sat down.
"Isn't it great to be joined by us?"
"It is a pleasure yes, Ted. And I bet you're excited to see who your competition next month is going to be."
"It doesn't really matter who it's gonna be, because much like we did last year, we're going to retain the titles at Starrcade, and there isn't a damn thing any team can do about it."
Back in the ring, Justin Roberts was ready to announce the participants.
"And now, introducing team number one..."
(Play Patriot)
"At a total combined weight of 490 pounds, Justin Gabriel, and The Patriot!"
"So what do you think about this team winning and facing you at Starrcade, they've beaten you before?"
"Let's face it Todd, Captain America and his buddy Bucky over there don't stand a chance. They may have beaten us on Nitro, but when it counts, they choke. There's no way these two will win."
"And now... introducing team number two!"
(Play Beer Money)
"At a total combined weight of 470 pounds, Robert Roode, James Storm... Beer Money!"
"WHAT???" Cody and Ted stood up and threw their headsets off in disbelief, screaming at the top of their lungs!
"Bobby! It's Beer Money!"
"I know who it is, it's those ROH rejects who can't make it in a real wrestling promotion!"
Beer Money entered the arena, as ROH was apparently in attendance tonight, as they came down to the ring, with a massive amount of cheers. Storm and Roode walked around the ring and stared straight at Priceless, telling them that those titles would be theirs, and they'll take them back to ROH, as Priceless, at this point, was powerless to do anything. They cracked open two beers and left them on the announce table, taunting the champs as they sat back down and put their headsets back on.
"Look.... it doesn't matter. These ROH jackasses won't last five minutes against us. If, and that's a huge if, they make it to Starrcade, we'll wipe the floor with these jokes."
The bell rang as Beer Money clotheslined Patriot and Gabriel down hard to the mat, ROH invading NWA World War. The Patriot was quickly dispatched with a double clothesline over the top rope to the floor as Storm quickly set Gabriel up for a powerbomb. Roode was right behind him and they hit DWI right then and there, pinning Gabriel for 1.... 2.... 3! Priceless stood up in anger as Beer Money looked down at them, destroying Gabriel and Patriot without even trying in less than 15 seconds. They pointed at the titles and called that they were "coming to ROH with them!"
(Play Benoit)
"Team number 3... Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko!"
Beer Money turned around to see two of the four Radicalz coming their way, knowing that this would be no blowover like the first team. Benoit charged and slid into the ring, going blow for blow with Storm, as they exchanged right hands in the center of the ring. Benoit shot Storm off the ropes and hit him with a knee to the midsection, flipping him over. He went for a quick cover, but Storm kicked out at one. Benoit wouldn't let Storm move as he locked in an armbar, but Storm was too strong and got back up to his feet, breaking the hold by throwing Benoit into the ropes. He went for a clothesline, but Benoit ducked behind him and hit him with a german suplex, still holding on. However, Roode came in from behind and broke up the triple german attempt, giving Storm enough time to hit a neckbreaker on Benoit. Storm got back to his feet and tagged Roode in, the two starting to double team on Benoit.
They set him up for a double suplex and hit it hard in the center of the ring. Roode covered Benoit for a two and locked in a reverse chinlock, keeping Benoit grounded. Benoit reached for Malenko, but he was still too far away, as he struggled to get back to his feet. Roode hit him with a knee in the lower back, dropping him back to the mat. Roode looked back at the champs, smiling at them with confidence, gunning for them, since they mocked them a few weeks ago, Beer Money obviously took exception and invaded NWA because of it.
"I don't know what those two jackasses are doing here."
"Well, you made fun of them, Cody."
"No, pea-brain, they were simply telling the truth. Beer Money is one of the most overrated tag teams out there."
"Thank you, Brain. It's good to see that not everyone is a blind, brainless moron."
Benoit finally got back to his feet and broke the hold with repeated elbows to the gut. He sprinted off the ropes and nailed Roode with an elbow to the chest, knocking him down. He began to viciously kick and stomp at his face, wanting to win the match for the Radicalz, wanting revenge for WarGames. Malenko tagged in and they whipped Roode to the ropes. They set up for a double back body drop, but Storm came in from behind and bulldogged Benoit down as Roode kicked Malenko in the face, the action losing control very quickly. Roode charged back in towards Malenko, but was caught with a drop toe hold, which was quickly chained into the Texas Cloverleaf! This didn't last long however, as Storm superkicked Malenko straight in the face, breaking the hold before the referee finally got him and Benoit out of the ring.
Roode crawled over and tagged Storm back in who quickly covered Malenko after the Last Call. 1.... 2.... no! Malenko kicked out after the superkick. Storm picked Dean up but was countered straight into a small package! 1.... 2.... no! Storm shot his shoulder up off the mat and rolled to his feet. Malenko pulled himself up in the corner as Storm charged in. He got dropkicked in the knees, causing his face to hit the top turnbuckle. Malenko was right there as he rolled him up. 1.... 2.... no! Storm kicked out again! As he got to his feet, Malenko went for a superkick of his own, but Storm ducked it and hit a dragon suplex, holding his shoulders down! 1.... 2.... NO! Malenko kicked out of that, so many near falls in such a short time span.
Storm pushed Malenko to the ropes and shot him off the other side, Malenko held onto the ropes as Benoit dropkicked the knees from behind, hitting a blind tag from Malenko, which Storm didn't see. Malenko left the ring as Benoit was left to pick the bones, stomping hard on the knees, wearing them down. He went for a figure four, but was kicked off into Roode, who lowbridged Benoit, sending him sailing to the outside. Storm tagged in Roode, who went to the outside and tossed Benoit back into the ring.
Roode picked Benoit up by the legs and hit a wheelbarrow facebuster, holding onto the legs. He lifted him up one more time and nailed a wheelbarrow suplex, sending Benoit's back crashing into the mat. He covered Benoit. 1.... 2.... no! Benoit kicked out, his foot draping across the bottom rope. He picked Benoit up and loaded him up for a suplex. Benoit fought out of it a couple times but was eventually lifted. He went up and over and backed into Malenko, who tagged in. Benoit charged back in and was hiptossed, but Malenko came from behind and set up for a german suplex. Roode fought out of it and went behind Malenko, picking him up and hitting a sinister back breaker on him. He covered him, but Benoit was right there to break up the pin attempt. Storm came back in as he picked up Benoit from behind in a Samoan drop. Roode then leapt into the air and hit a flying neckbreaker, knocking Benoit out.
Malenko rolled Roode back up and hit another Texas Cloverleaf, and Storm once again went for a superkick. This time, Malenko caught his foot and tripping him, hitting a figure four in the center of the ring! Storm was tapping out, but the referee couldn't make the call, Roode being the legal man. He let go of the figure four and ducked a clothesline from Roode, turning it into a Dragon Sleeper! Roode was fading, and fading fast as his arm dropped to his side. The referee checked it once, and it fell like a weight. Twice... and down it went. Third time... it dropped, but not all the way, Roode still having some fight left in him. He tried to fight out of it but couldn't as he was back down again, but this time, Storm arrived with a massive clothesline, breaking the hold and knocking Malenko over the top.
From behind, Storm was caught with a german suplex from Benoit, as he held on. He suplexed him again, still holding on, and hit the third german suplex on Storm, both teams being battered around in the match. He cut his throat, and was turned around by Roode who caught his legs and catapulted him into the turnbuckles. He was caught by the legs again and catapulted clear to the other side of the ring, where Storm hit him with a monster of a superkick, all four men dropping as the crowd applauded loudly. Storm and Roode were up first, as they looked around at the massive pro-NWA crowd, as they stomped around on the ground, finally calling "Beer! Money!" The crowd cheered wildly, but Malenko was back as he dropkicked Storm to the outside, right in front of the announcer's tables.
Malenko followed him out but was kicked in the back of the head by a baseball slide from Roode, knocking him down as well. Roode went to the outside to help Storm, but when he turned around, Benoit came from the ring with a suicide dive, nailing all three of them, rocking the announce table, spilling one of the beers on Ted DiBiase's suit. This angered him as he took the other beer and tossed it at Benoit, which angered him. DiBiase and Rhodes took their headsets off and tried to retreat, but all four men started pounding away at the tag team champions, as they began to fight back.
"The champions have gotten involved in this match, Bobby!"
"They ruined his suit!"
"It was an accident!"
"THEY RUINED HIS SUIT!"
Storm was blasted into the steel post by Malenko who then tossed him back into the ring, as Benoit rolled Roode into the ring as well. However, Priceless wasn't done yet as Ted DiBiase charged, being locked in the Crippler Crossface again! He started to tap out, as Cody Rhodes broke up the submission, but was placed in the Crossface himself! Malenko rolled back into the ring into the waiting arms of Beer Money who, once again, hit DWI in the center of the ring, this time on Malenko! Roode and Malenko were the legal men, as Storm prevented Benoit from getting back into the ring with a massive superkick, knocking him off the apron to the floor below. Roode covered Malenko as Storm hit the mat, being exhausted. 1.... 2.... 3!
Beer Money had taken down two teams in tag team turmoil, being the dominant players until...
(Play Andersons)
"Team number four, Arn and Ole, the Andersons!"
For the love of god it was the Andersons, coming to pick apart an exhausted Beer Money. Arn wasted little time as he got into the center of the ring and beat the hell out of Roode, as Ole went to the outside, pulled Storm out and blasted him into the steel steps. Ole slid into the ring as Arn tossed Roode to the ropes, but Roode leapt over Arn, who went for the back drop... into the arms of Ole. Ole held him as Arn went for a massive clothesline, but Roode was able to sidestep it as Arn nailed Ole Anderson! Ole was knocked down and out of the ring, as Storm was able to slide back in and readied. Roode turned Arn around and kicked him low in the balls and set up for a powerbomb! He turned around and picked him up, as they hit DWI on Arn! This was it! 1.... 2.... NO! The referee was pulled out of the ring by Eric Bischoff!
With Bischoff having the referee distracted, Ole came back into the ring with a tire iron and nailed Storm over the head, knocking him clean out. Once Roode got back to his feet, Ole nailed him in the head as well with it, and placed Arn over him. The referee turned around to see Arn covering Roode! 1..... 2..... 3.
"Son of a bitch, Bobby! What the hell do you call that!"
"I call that intelligent wrestling! Once again, Bischoff outsmarts another team, this time the drunken rejects of ROH! They can go back to chugging their beer and throwing up in the trash cans that they belong in!"
Priceless had finally gotten back to their feet and saw that they had good news and bad news. Beer Money had been eliminated, but now The Andersons were gunning for them, as Bischoff told them to kiss their titles goodbye. They sat back down at the announcer's table and watched, as Arn finally got back to his feet, what Priceless heard next turned them white as ghosts.
"Team number five..."
(Play LOD)
"...Hawk and Animal, the Legion of Doom!"
LOD was gunning for The Andersons as they charged down to the ring and tossed their shoulder spikes to the ground, sliding into the ring. The crowd exploded as LOD and the Andersons traded blows in the middle of the ring, just throwing rules out the window. The referee fled the ring, not wanting any part of it. LOD tossed the Andersons to the ropes and double clotheslined them down, the crowd getting even louder. The Andersons rolled to the outside as Bischoff stood between them and LOD.
LOD had none of him as they shoved him aside, causing the Andersons to attack them from behind, Bischoff creating a momentary distraction. Arn grabbed a hold of Animal and tossed him back and shoulder first into the steel steps, as Ole clotheslined Hawk over the railing into the first row at ringside. They grabbed Animal from the ground, who fought back by spraying both Andersons with a fire extinguisher, blinding them. Animal charged forward and decked Ole in the head with it, as Hawk came from behind and nailed Arn in the back with a chair he grabbed from the crowd. Bischoff turned them around and instantly backed off as LOD closed in on him. Bischoff was between a rock and a hard place as he rolled back into the ring, being perhaps the only safe spot of the night.
Eric Bischoff was about to get annihilated until the Andersons brought backup in the form of tire irons and blasted LOD in the back with them. The crowd booed at this, as the referee called for the bell, causing a near riot in the crowd. Hawk and Animal took down the Andersons as Hawk left the ring and screamed at the official, demanding to know why the bell was rung. Before the referee even got a chance to answer, Hawk scooped him up and bodyslammed him straight into the spanish announcer's table, causing the fans to explode again! Arn and Ole came back at him with the tire irons, but Hawk was able to grab the ring bell and nail Arn in the head, but Ole hit Hawk in the stomach as Animal came to the outside.
Several officials came down to break up the melee, as Bischoff drew his men back, but LOD tossed referees and officials aside, and even over the railings to try and get back to the Andersons. Eventually, LOD caught back up with them, armed with chairs, as Animal just charged like a linebacker through the referees and took Ole out with a chairshot to the back, as Arn turned around and punched him dead in the face, knocking him down. They started to fight all the way up the ramp as Hawk leapt over a referee and clotheslined Arn down, tackling him to the ground and hammered away, as officials continued to try and break up the massive riot. Bischoff attempted to pull Arn away from Hawk, but was pushed back into the railing by Animal, who wanted his piece of the Andersons.
Eventually, the referees broke up the riot as Bischoff and the Andersons went behind the curtain, with LOD shoving officials down and charging through them to get back, as the crowd ate up every single second of it, chanting "LOD!" and "Let them fight!" Finally, all the officials got to the back as the melee was finally contained, Bischoff finally getting back to his feet and staggering to the back to catch up with the Andersons, being in pain from being sent back first into the railing.
Justin Roberts got on the horn much to the crowd's dismay, as they wanted to see more action.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the Andersons and the Legion of Doom have both been disqualified! Therefore-"
"Can it Roberts, we got this one." Priceless had gotten control of one of the microphones and entered the ring. "Ladies and gentlemen, what you have just seen is proof that there aren't any tag teams worthy of competing for this title."
"That's right Ted. I mean, even Ring of Honor's favorite tag team didn't make it to victory, that just goes to show you that although people rave about ROH having the best tag team division, it means nothing when their "best tag team" can't defeat one of our worst. Because let's face it, we beat LOD twice, and the Andersons just got their asses kicked by them."
"This just proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that we are the greatest tag team in the history of professional wrestling and.....Mr. Roberts what are you squaking about over there? What do you mean there's one more team?"
They tossed the microphone back to Justin as he spoke once again.
(Play Demolition)
"Team number six... Ax and Smash, Demolition!!!!"
Priceless dropped the tag team title belts and stood frozen in terror in the ring, as Demolition arrived in the arena, not having to do ANYTHING in the match, and won, being the new No. 1 contenders to Priceless's tag team titles at Starrcade. Smash had a microphone.
"Let me tell you something you prissy little pansies! You call yourself the greatest tag team alive, well that's completely wrong! You may have beaten our reign as tag team champions, but there was one thing we NEVER did while we were the champions for 16 months! We never lost!"
The crowd exploded, as Ax took the mic next.
"So when we come after you at Starrcade, we're gonna totally Demolish you, and we're gonna forge brand new Tag Team Championships! And after we Decapitate you, we're gonna mount your heads on our wall as trophies! It's time for Demolition to get back what's ours, you little third generation Priceless Pussies!"
Priceless stood at the stage, backing out as soon as Demolition entered the ring, not knowing what to do now, as Demolition posed and were ready to fight right there, not even having to break a sweat, as they were the new No. 1 contenders at Starrcade.
The cameras then panned over seeing CM Punk whom was standing idly in the locker room as Lord Alfred Hayes entered, wanting to see if he had some post match comments.
"Comments, you want a comment? Sure I'll give you one, tonight I go into the ring against two legends arguably where as last year John Cena did the same and yet even though he won, he got respect for it, I can tell you right now, when I walk out of here with my world title, I won't be getting a flint of that because these fans want a story book ending, but it's not going to happen. You see Alf, this is real, this isn't some movie or sitcom, this is real. We don't have writers that tell us what to say or 'book' matches and determine the outcome, you know who determines all that....I do. You know how you can tell, because no writer in his right mind would tell another person to take a crap and explain to him that he's a 'champion' dispite the fact he's probably from Jersey Shore or some failed reality TV show that no one watches. Pro Wrestling is real, when I beat the crap out of Rick Steamboat and Sting, it ain't going to be no story book ending, it ain't going to be 'who's got the rub' and it certainly won't be a happy ending or a 'blow off' as some people say, what it will be Alfred, is MY Day of Reckoning."
[Play Out]
All three men stood in the ring, Punk standing in the middle and would talk trash to both of them, not at all intimidated by either of them as Steamboat was the first one to walk up to him, only taking a few steps as Punk would spit more venom at him, turning around and would gaze right into the eyes of Sting as Punk would start to back away just slightly but would swing at him. Sting blocked and would hit back, Steamboat hitting him as well as Punk went back and forth between both of them as Sting dropped him with an inverted atomic drop then Steamboat with a back suplex.
Punk staggered to his feet as Sting would clothesline him out of the ring, Steamboat rolling after him as he would bash his head into the steel stairs, chopping at his chest and back as Punk pulled away though Sting caught him in the jaw with a suicide dive. Sting pulled him up and bashed him back first into the barricade then tossed him right into Steamboat whom backbody dropped him right into the crowd. The ref couldn't count so he just waited as Punk pulled himself up, Steamboat suplexing him right back over right upon the floor as Sting waited for him to rise up, tossing him into the ring and dropped him with a few clotheslines then a body slam, finishing Punk with a drop kick as he stumbled back to the middle rope and just fell out.
Sting waited as Steamboat pulled Punk to his feet and started chopping over his chest, finishing by ramming him right into the barricade then back into the ring as Sting caught him with a suplex, snapping back up as Punk slowly backed away, holding his palms up as he wanted no more. He moved to the corner as Sting corned him though it was Steamboat that moved him aside and went after him, slugging away at his head, wanting more than just a piece of him.
Sting would pull Ricky off and would start to hit Punk with hard haymakers though Ricky pulled Sting off, going back to work on Punk. Sting would pull Ricky off as the two of them would exchange words a bit, Punk taking a chance and would gouge at both of their eyes, headbutting Steamboat and tossed him out of the ring, chopblocking Sting's knee down. Punk would get some distance then caught Sting with a bulldog, locking in a quick armbar to keep him down.
Slowly he would break the hold, using his kicks to keep him at bay, even doing a spinning back hand across the mouth, pushing him to the corner and would hit a ten count punch. Punk would climb down and dropped Sting with a bulldog, turning him over though Steamboat yanked him right off, locking in a quick STF to which Punk rolled out of. Both of them rose though Punk tried to strike first with a kick, Steamboat blocking and swept the other leg, catching him in a half jackknife pin for two.
Both men rose as Steamboat took him down with two armdrags then tossed him with a hiptoss, ducking a clothesline and dropped Punk with a spinning back suplex with a bridge for two. Steamboat sprung up, kicking him right in the jaw to the corner then charged in, Punk blocking with a foot and climbed up though Steamboat was quick to react, climbing up with him as both of them would start to slug it out. Sting would then join in the fray, climbing up with Ricky looking for a double suplexplex though Punk was able to block and came down with a cross body on both of them, rolling to his feet.
He smirked a bit, picking his spot then bashed Steamboat's head into the turnbuckle and finished him with a german suplex, watching Sting and climbed the top, hitting a heavy missile dropkick, dropping Sting with ddt and covered for two. Steph would clap for her champion as Punk would drop a few knees over the back of his neck, pulling him up and tossed him to the rope though Sting ducked the clothesline, catcing Punk with a flying shoulder tackle. Punk held his jaw as Sting was a bit stiff with his punches to the head and stomach, forcing Punk to headbutt him and catch him with a rising knee, dropping him with a running clothesline. He looked to end it early as he picked Sting up for the GTS though a stiff kick to the jaw from Steamboat forced him to fall back, Sting rolling to the floor.
Steamboat then locked in a figure four, refusing to break though Punk was able to crawl back and got the rope, Steamboat releasing as he would wait and caught Punk with a northern light suplex for two. He sprung to his feet and would hit karate chops at Punk, knocking him down and picked him up by the throat, tossing him to the corner and came in with a body splash though Punk moved out of the way, ramming his shoulders into his back and kidneys, setting Steamboat on the top rope, placing him in the tree of woe position, stomping at him and backed away, going for a baseball slide though Steamboat sat up, Punk crotching the steel post as Steamboat climbed down. He pulled Punk by the hair and ran off the ropes though fell to the floor as Sting lowbridged him trying to get into the ring, deciding to take his chance and work on an injured Punk, dropping him with a flatliner for two.
Sting rose and went for the Deathlock though Punk kicked him to the corner but took a falling clothesline for his efforts, rising up as Stng would hit a few suplexes then a piledriver, Punk holding his head as he kicked out of a pinfall attempt. Slowly Sting rose up, climbing the middle rope and waited, taking Punk down with a flying clothesline, rolling to his feet and rushed though missed a Stinger splash, Punk getting behind him and picked him up for an Electric Chair though fellf forward, Sting hitting the rope and bounced out to the floor below, holding his ribs.
Punk dropped a to knee, panting for a moment as he saw Steamboat roll into the ring, jumping the gun and started to stomp and pound at him, keeping him down with a headlock, squeezing at the head the best he could. Slowly Steamboat would pull himself up, fighting his way out and hit the rope though Punk dropped him with a back elbow, climbing the rope quickly and came down with a cross body for two.
He would keep on the pressure with a hard kick across his head, dropping Ricky to his feet and bounced off the rope and bashed his knee into his face, dropping a few elbows and rose up, calling him on as he picked him up for the GTS though Ricky fought out and pushed him forward right into a waiting Sting whom would hit a rope guillotine as Punk snapped back right into Steamboat whom dropped him with a tiger back suplex though Sting broke the count.
Sting would pick Steamboat up and pushed him to the corner, out of the way as he would cover Punk himself but only for two. Sting rose up though was pushed by Steamboat whom asked him what that was for to which Sting responded with a punch, then the fists would start to fly between both of them, Sting winning the exchange, tossing him to the ropes as Steamboat fought back with a flying elbow then a standing dropkick, going for a clothesline though Sting would backbody drop him over the ropes, Steamboat landing on the apron.
Both of them would slug it out though Sting grabbed him by the head and bashed his head into the steel post, turning his attention as Punk hit him with a his running knee then a bulldog from the corner, calling him up as he picked him up upon his shoulders for the GTS though Sting fought out with hard elbows, landing in front of him and slammed Punk rib first over the top rope, letting him dangle. Punk would fix himself as he stood on the apron though blocked a punch from Sting, fighting back as he prepared to springboard in, though Steamboat held his feet. Sting would rush at a stationary Punk with a suicide dive, Steamboat able to powerbomb Punk in the process right to the floor.
Punk lay flat and out cold, Steamboat rising up and rolled into the ring as Sting would roll in behind him, hitting a school boy for two. Both men rose as Steamboat hit a small package for two. They rose again, this time Sting dropping Steamboat with a powerbomb pin for two. Sting charged in though Steamboat countered with a drop toe hold then a dragon suplex for two. Both men rise and go nose to nose, locking up as Sting tossed him to the ropes, taking a shoulder block, boucing off the rope again as Sting did a hiptoss, Ricky countering with a hiptoss as Sting landed on his feet, breaking free and bounced off the ropes, sliding under Ricky and went for the Scorpion Deathdrop, Ricky fighting out and hit the rope. Sting would leapfrog over then backbody dropped him, Ricky landing on his feet and caught him in the jaw with a kick to the face, moving quickly to the corner as Sting rose his feet, bashing him in the face.
Sting would mount the top rope though Steamboat quickly climbed up, looking for a superplex though Sting was able to block, pushing him down upon his back, settling hismelf up as Punk got behind him, hitting a super bulldog and landed upon Steamboat in the process, Sting rolling to the floor as Punk would cover..one....two...NO!
Punk would punch the mat, each time yelling out 'dammit', angry as he rose up, pulling Ricky with him and slapped him over the face to which Ricky responded with a stiff punch to the face, chopping him to the corner though Punk would block a fist, countering with a knee to the ribs, dropping Ricky with a gutwrench powerbomb, covering for two. He rose up and quickly hit Sting off the apron, watching him fall flat as he climbed the top rope, waiting and leapt with a cross body, Steamboat countering it with a Death Valley Diver, quickly covering for two.
Ricky rose up and heard the crowd behind him though Punk quickly countered as he rose with a spinebuster, pulling himself up and would hit Sting again off the apron, watching Steamboat and would grab him, dropping him with the Anaconda Vice, having it locked in and he wasn't about to let go though Ricky again was able to slide his way out with his legs, wrapping them in a headscissor around Punk as he fought out, Ricky quickly dropped him with an armdrag, setting up for another as Punk pushed him right into Sting whom fell off the apron again, knocking heads with Ricky as Punk picked him up and quickly hit the GTS, covering him for one.....two....NO!
Ricky kicked out as Punk, audibly yelled out "Fuck", ready to blast him again as Sting had enough, grabbing his ball bat and slid into the ring as the ref was arguing with him to put it back. Steph quickly slid the World Title to Punk whom would line up his hit, swinging hard as Steamboat ducked, kicking Punk in the gut and would blast HIM over the head with the World Title, tossing it aside as Sting quickly ran in, hitting Steamboat with the Scorpion Death Drop and tossed him out of the ring, covering a knocked out Punk for one.....two.....NO!
Sting was frustrated after that, Steph having a heart attack right there on the apron, then an orgasm of bliss that Punk was still alive, Sting pulling him up and pushed him to the corner, yelling out and would hit two big Stinger Splashes, Punk on spaghetti legs as he fell at the feet of Sting as he grinned at him, bodyslamming him down upon the mat and came down with a legdrop, yelling out once again as he went for the Scorpion Death Lock, Punk fighting and punching his way out of it, pushing him to the corner and quicky rushed in with a running high knee but hit the turnbuckle.
He fell back holding his knee as Sting would focus upon it, dropping elbow after elbow upon it, trying it again but Punk countered right into a smallpackage for two. Both men rose but Punk sneakily hit an uppercut, dropping Sting and went for a figurefour as Sting powered out, kicking him off as Punk flew, his head hitting the steel post as he rolled out to the floor below. Sting got to his feet and turned as Steamboat flew from the rope and connecting with his chop to the head, Sting out cold as Ricky crawled over for one...two....NO! Sting barely kicked out as Ricky nodded some, knowing he had to give it more as he pulled Sting up whom rammed him into the corner, both of them slugging it out though Sting was able to win the exchange, forcing him to the top rope and come down from the rope with a super double underhook suplex, the impact deafening.
Sting used the rope to pull himself up, shaking his head as he looked at Ricky, going for the cover but knew...that wasn't enough as he would slowly crawl over, picking up his legs and would try for the Deathlock though Steamboat fought out, rising up and hit a backbody drop, bouncing off the rope and came in for a hurricarana though Sting countered with a powerbomb then QUICKLY locked in the Scorpion Deathlock right in the center of the ring.
Half the crowd was cheering, the other was screaming, Sting had it locked in as Steamboat was no where near close the rope, fighting his way out the best he could though Sting leaned back, yelling out as the title was his. Punk would use the rope to pull himself back into the ring, the ref asking Ricky if he gave in but he shook his head, reaching for that rope as his fingertips just touched it, Sting pulling him back and pulled back even more. Punk crawled into the ring, looking a bit woozy as he would rise to his feet, going to stop Sting as....Randy Orton from out of no where slid into the ring and hit Punk with an RKO, quickly rolling out of the ring as the refs back was turned, Punk out cold. Steph yelled at him to get up but Punk had no strength left, Sting leaning back even more as Steamboat yelled out, raising his hand up and started to wave it, bringing it down but stopped just at the mat, unable to force himself to tap, hearing the roar from the crowd as he would continue to fight on, crawling over towards the ropes one more time, inch by inch as he reached out though Sting twisted, Steamboat yelling out again, raising his hand up and brought it down right at the rope, hitting it though Sting pulled him back again, he was not letting go of this hold.
There was no way out of this hold, Sting was too locked in and Punk was dead to the world. Ricky rose his palm up one more time, barely able to hang on as he slammed his hand down, pushing himself up in a push up and would crawl over to the rope, grabbing it as Sting reluctantly let go but the damage was done, Steamboat holding his back in agony as Sting moved over to a groggy Punk whom used the ropes to pull himself up, moving like a drunkard as Sting would drop him down and quickly locked him in the Scorption Death Lock, Punk, due to being hurt still from Chono's match and having a bad knee was screaming in pain, yelling out 'oh god' one more than one occasion. He would reach for the ropes, no where near the dammed things as Steph reached out, he would grab her palm and pulled her into the ring as the ref would break it up, her palm perhaps preventing him from tapping as he got Steph out of the ring, Sting licking his lips in victory and took a hard kick across the face from Steamboat whom broke the hold with perhaps the last bit of strength he had.
All three men were down, Punk holding his back in pain, tears streaming his face as he just wanted to die, forcing himself to his feet as Ricky dragged himself up, Punk having a far away look in his eyes, dropping to a knee and called Ricky on, slowly rising and would pick him up, raising him upon his shoulders and nailed the GTS, falling over as the ref would count One.......Two......NO!
The fans went crazy as Punk still didn't win, holding his face and slamming his feet in rage, what more did he have to do? Punk rose to his feet, not knowing what was left as he had to try again, it was all that was left as Ricky rose with him, staggering as Punk was grabbed from behind by Sting whom tried for a Deathdrop though Punk fought out, pushing Sting into Ricky as they knocked heads, Punk quickly picking up Sting and hit the GTS on him, covering with the rest of his strength....one......two......three.
Punk won the match, somehow, someway, he won the match as he didn't even have the strength to raise his arm up as he just rolled to the floor, exhausted completely as Steph grabbed the World Title, proclaiming him as champion as Punk just laid there on the floor, victorious indeed as Sting slowly rose up, holding his jaw a bit as Steamboat, hurt back and all rose up as well, turning to face Sting as they gave it their all but they had to give the devil his due, Steamboat slowly bowing out as Sting grabbed him and hit the Scorpion Deathdrop on him in the center of the ring then exited the ring, the fans a bit baffled at just what happened.
A quick video package would play showing last years World War and then explaining the rules of the match, using the last six months as a stepping stone to this match as the main focus on whom could win was Cena, Kane, Jarrett, Drew and Goldberg, all of which whom were in the match, each of them cutting a quick promo in the video.
"Ladies and gentleman we're about ready to get started, joining us on commentary will be World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk and I have to say that was one hell of a match."
"Yeah no kidding but the fact of the matter is security needs to get on the horn and find Randy Orton and have him jailed for assualt. He had no business being here and interefereing in my match tonight, oh I can't wait for World's Collide II when I beat the shit out of him."
"Hey I'm right behind you on that Punk the man had no right being down here and it's sleeze like that that is ruining our industry."
"I appreciate the gesture Bobby but when I want your opinion I'll ask for it."
"Well I hate to cut you off but Punk real quick before we get started, whom, if you had to pick three guys tonight, are the ones you're looking to see win this."
"Heh, honestly, I can see Drew probably pulling it off and of course, I wouldn't be surprised if me and Cena went at it again for the title and out of all of them I have a feeling that perhaps even Misawa might make it, what a match that would be at Starrcade huh?"
"Very true but what about the hands on favorite Kane?"
"Kane kane that's all I hear these days is Kane, you know he's nothing more than an Undertaker rip off with a mask and that's it. I fear Kane about as much as I fear a wet dog in a blizzard."
