Hey guys,
Just wanted to take some time to talk about Jomo.
I said it on the show before but I really think I should bring it together and ask what y'all think.
Here are Morrisons Pros:
Good worker
Great looks
Cool Gimmick
Cons:
Terrible on the mic/ Gave terrible lines he can't say no to
Bad finisher he can't do correctly.
Yeah now I'm sure everyone is aware of his pros but I want to talk about his cons here because they are what bugs me. When I see Morrison I think "he's cool, he could be the new HBK so why don't he get a serious push?" Then I watch any of his babyface promos or his finish and I know exactly why.
I can't remember the last time I saw John hit "Starship Pain" correctly. He always misses!
Great Morrison you can do a flip but if It don't end in an offensive move that looks like it hurts then its a bad wrestling move. End of.
Flips can't just be for the sake of a flip, they have to lead to a splash, one that hits chest to chest. His finisher is halfway between a RVD moonsault and a cockscrew. But if he can't make it look good on impact then it fails.
The other thing is his mic skill. Terrible. Now if he was given better writting than "mr. Ziggles" or something about Duck billed palatipus then it would make all the difference. But with or without good material he is just flat on the mic with no charisma. His stuff with the Miz and earlier was FAR better. Mabye he just makes a better heel.
There are my thoughts on what he and WWE need to work on to get Morrison over. Not a premature DVD!
