Kidman already was talking trash against both of them, flipping both of them off as Taka and Ultimo would strike at him, beating him to the corner and started to kick at him, placing him on the top rope and came down with a double superplex then tossed him out of the ring. Taka went for a quick school boy against Ultimo for one, both of them rising up and would exchange kicks as if in a dojo. Taka went for a spin kick though Ultimo would duck, taking him down with a sweep and quickly locked in an oklahoma roll clutch, locking his arms and head as Taka would struggle free as Dragon would continue to sweep him down and keep him down with snapmares, eventually tossing him out of the ring.
Taka would land hard, rising up as Dragon would run, leaping off of the rope and crashed down upon him with a corkscrew plauncha, rising up and would dodge Kidman's advances, ramming him headfirst into the stairs then dropped him with an Asai DDT from the apron. He was all business, rolling into the ring with Taka following suit, taking an inside spinning wheel kick to the jaw then slammed down with a gutwrench back breaker for two. Ultimo hit the ropes, waiting for his spot and would leap, coming down hard with a Spike Tornado DDT, baseball sliding under the ropes to keep Kidman out then quickly did a springboard moonsault form the rope, landing on Taka for two.
Rising up he would catch him in his kicking combination but missed the finale as Taka ducked and move, grabbing him by the head and bounced off of the rope hitting an inverted Sliced Bread, covering for two as Kidman pulled him apart. He took a kick to the jaw for his troubles as Taka threw him to the ropes and caught him with a standing dropsault, flipping to his feet and kicked him hard across the head to the corner. Taka ran at him but missed a splash as Kidman would drop him with a springboard dropkick though was taken down with an armdrag by Ultimo, holding the arm and even wrapped the legs around, stretching him out.
Kidman tried to fight out though Taka broke the hold by hitting a jackknife pin on Kidman, forcing Ultimo to break the count by sweeping the leg. Both men rise up with Taka dropping Ultimo with a Flatliner DDT, locking Kidman with an arm wrench, twisting and spinning the arm, hitting an inverted spin kick right in the jaw and followed up with a pin for two.
Taka rose first, picking his spot and kicked Kidman hard over the side of the head, ramming his head to the corner and placed him on top, lifting him up but Kidman would block, punching him down and came down with a cross body DDT, planting him hard as he covered for two, Ultimo breaking it with a kick. Kidman rose, battling against Dragon, tossing him to the ropes as he would counter with a springboard backelbow, rolling back and cracked his foot hard over the head, bouncing off of the rope and came down with a spinning headscissor armbar, locking it in tightly. Kidman would yell out in pain, fighting through it as he rose to his feet, tossing Ultimo to the ropes and caught a backbody drop though in midair he would flip, catching Taka with a spinning headscissor, tossing him to the corner. Kidman turned and went for a clothesline but missed, crashing into Taka as Utlimo quickly locked in the Dragon DDT, Taka breaking it up with a body splash.
Now on the offensive he would strike, dropping Ultimo with an X-Factor then a climb up sunset flip bomb, turning his attention to Kidman, swinging hard with a kick as he would duck, dropping him with a capture powerbomb, covering for two. He rubbed his nose, stomping at him and tossed him to the corner, placing his leg in the ropes and started to kick at it, placing him on the top, trying for a superplex though Taka flipped over behind him and came down quick with a super german suplex, having him land face first. Taka rose for the pin, taking a running insiguri from Dragon as Ultimo turned Kidman over, climbing the top rope and flew connecting with the Shooting Star Press for one....two....NO Kidman kicked out.
Ultimo was a bit in shock as he rose up, pulling Kidman up and went for the Asai DDT though it was blocked as he was pushed off, taking a hurricanrana from Kidman, a sweep to the knee then a spinning neck breaker to keep him down, taking a stiff kick to the jaw to the corner. Taka was vicious with his strikes but took a thumb to the eye and flapjacked into the corner. Kidman moved fast placing him on the top rope and would place him on his shoulders, trying for a super electric chair, coming down though Taka would counter with a Super Victory roll, nearly breaking Kidman's neck on the way down, the crowd popping.
Taka went for the cover but Ultimo pulled him off, ducking an insiguri and locked in an STF. Taka would fight out of it, both of them going at it, ducking a kick from Ultimo and dropped him with a release german suplex but Ultimo would flip out of it, actually catching on the way back Kidman with a reverse DDT out of no where, tossing Taka over the ropes with a back body drop. Kidman was lost in translation as he was hit with a high knee then a kick to the chest, tossed to the ropes and planted hard with a one handed sit down powerbomb. Ultimo rolled back and dropped him with a running rolling senton splash pin, nearly getting the win as he held his head in shock, climbing the top rope for the Asai DDT when Taka cut him off from the apron, climbing up and would come down hard from the top rope with the Michonoku Driver for one...two..NO!
Still the fight was going on as Taka yelled out in Japanesse, pulling him to his feet, locking him in a full nelson and went for the suplex when Ultimo Dragon Nailed the Asai DDT, covering him cleanly as Kidman came crashing down with the shooting star, picking the bones as he covered Taka for one....two...NO! He nearly stole it as he hit the mat like a spoiled child, rising up and came at Taka hard, trying for a dropkick but Taka held on quickly locking in a figure four though it was broken as Dragon came down from the top rope upon their knees. Both of them yelling out in pain as Taka was dropped with an Exploder, moving around Kidman and locked in the Dragon Sleeper, Kidman struggling to fight out. It was locked in tight as the fans yelled at him to tap and quit, Dragon not letting go though Kidman fought out with his knees, flipping out of it and picked him up, smashing him face first to the mat and connected with a double arm bulldog, rising up but Taka grabbed him from behind, picking him up for the Michonoku Driver but he fought out, pushing forward as he and Dragon connected heads.
Kidman picked Taka up for an electric chair but came down with an inverted Joker Driver, quickly holding Taka down for one....two.....three! You didn't have to like it but you had to respect it as Kidman walked out the winner, sliding out of the ring exhausted as the fans were forced to give a standing ovation for just the opening match.
"Unbelieveable Jess."
"I'm not a big Kidman fan..what a show these three put on for us, I'm sold."
Kidman took his title, holding his neck in agony though was smirking as he escaped through the back, luckly in one piece. In the back, CM Punk was in the locker room, pacing back and forth, quite nervous about the match later on tonight. Glad that Kidman won but still there was tension as it was building within as he would hit a locker, walking off camera.
"Ladies and Gentleman the following contest scheduled for one fall will have a 20 minute time limit."

Mysterio was in high spirits as Misawa was all alone out there with him, standing in the middle of the ring offering a hand shake. Mysterio would shake the palm and quickly tossed to the ropes though Mysterio quickly countered into a spinning headscissor, a few good dropkicks and a flying bodypress for two. Mysterio was up first, kicking at Misawa along the legs, leaping up and locked in a front face lock, using his weight to drag him down. Misawa held on, running to the turnbuckle as Mysterio rolled over, ramming Misawa to the corner and quickly took him down with a tornado ddt from the rope, covering for two.
Rey kept upon him, stomping away until Misawa rose up, charging at him with a flying headbutt to the midsection, kicking across the back of his head then caught a climb up victory roll for two. Mysterio was quick as Misawa rolled out of the ring, just needing a moment to rethink though Mystero flew over the rope with a suicide plauncha. Rey rose up, pulling Misawa up though he countered by ramming his head into the steel steps not once, but five times, tossing him violently into the guardrail. Misawa wasn't done as he pulled Mysterio up and dropped him with an inverted powerbomb right on the guardrail right on his ribs.
Misawa rolled in then back out of the ring to break the count, tossing Rey into the ring, dropping several knees into his ribs to keep the damage, Rey coughing as he was placed in a torture rack, Misawa bouncing to apply further pressure. Rey wouldn't quit as Misawa droped him with an inverted Yebishu Drop, Rey landing on his ribs and face, kicked down hard across the face and covered for two. Misawa dragged him up, dropping him with a flurry of suplexes and rib breakers, literally tossing Mysterio around like a ragged doll, tossing him to the corner and would knife edge chop across his chest, placing him on the top rope and brought him down with single underhook suplex, covering for two.
Misawa rose slow, pulling Rey to his feet and tossed him to the ropes applying a backbody drop though Mysterio countered with a dropkick, landing on his feet and slid under his legs, rolling around the ring avoiding Misawa's attacks, locking him in a climb up front face lock once again. Misawa held on to Rey, running to the corner though Mysterio blocked with his foot, pushing off and rolled over him, hitting the ropes and took his knee out with a dropkick. Rey rushed at him again though Misawa backbody dropped him over the ropes, Mysterio hitting the apron. He moved quicky again, leaping off and caught a seated senton, keeping the speed up and took him down with a bulldog then a dropkick to the back, getting him in position for the 619 but Misawa rolled out.
Mysterio ran, leaping over the ropes for a spinning headscissor, getting half of the revolution as Misawa held up, pulling him back up and would powerbomb him hard against the apron, Mysterio landing awkwardly. Misawa would pick him up and rolled him back into the ring, signalling the end for him as he picked him up for the Emerald Flowsion though Rey fought out, getting behind him and tripped him back within the middle rope, boucing off of the rope and ducked Misawa's clothesline, springboarding off the rope and moonsaulted, catching Misawa's head with his legs, holding onto the rope and spun, moving him to the corner. Rey moved to the apron and would run along it, catching hold of the post and would 619 him right in the stomach.
Misawa pulled from the corner as Rey climbed the top rope, leaping and caught the Mysterio Rana on him for two. So close as he would start kicking at him, keeping his distance as he came at him with a spinning wheel kick, Misawa however catching him and dropping him hard upon the mat. Misawa dragged him up, locking him in a half nelson backsuplex, tossing Mysterio literally out of the ring at the fans rose up to see. The ref flew to the floor to check on him, he was okay but barely moving, Misawa not caring as he tossed him back into the ring, kicking at him some as Mysterio pulled himself up with the rope, Misawa placing him on the top rope and locked him up though Mysterio somehow fought out with a backelbow, knocking him down and leapt with a moonsault, covering for two.
Mysterio forced himself up, needing to put him away as he would kick along his body, Misawa catching his foot though took an insiguri to the back of the head. Mystrio kept Misawa guessing as he would trip him up again in the middle rope, running hard and ran up his back and over the rope, dropping down with a legdrop over the back of the head. Misaway whipped back, holding his throat as Mysterio leapt from the rope, dropping another dropkick to the back, knocking Misawa to the rope as he ran for the 619, though Misawa caught his legs, pulling him from the rope and violently slammed him down. Mysterio was lifeless as Misawa nudged at him, slowly picking him up from the mat, placing him on his shoulders and came down hard with the Emerald Flowsion, covering him for one...two...three. Misawa wouldn't even grin as he would raise his arm up, leaning over the battered body of Mysterio, turning him over and would remove his mask, raising it up for everyone to see and tossed it down with disgust, leaving the ring.
In the back, CM Punk's locker room door was closed though there was some kind of yelling going on. The door would swing open as Steph was pushed out, Punk yelling and pointing at her.
"Look I hired you to protect me and look out for me. You had better think of something or I'll drop your ass faster than your ex husband."
He would slam the door shut as Steph pushed the camera man aside, storming off in a rage.
In the back, a camera was in the parking lot, as Arn and Ole Anderson had arrived in a massive Ford F-350 pickup truck. The car rolled slowly to a stop as Arn and Ole stepped out, dressed in jeans and muscle shirts, amidst the most loud boos of the entire night. They stepped in front of their car, and quickly ducked out of the way, as from off screen, LOD's shoulder spikes were launched at their faces! The shoulder spikes shattered the windshield, ending up in the front seats! The Andersons quickly got to their feet and ran to the back of their truck, grabbing their trusty tire irons, as they were met by LoD, Hawk with a crowbar, Animal with a lead pipe. Hawk swung for Ole's face, missing as he took out one of the mirrors of the truck.
Arn was on the run from Animal, who was chasing after him. He got a hold of Arn, who turned around and blasted him in the face with a straight fist to the face, breaking Animal's nose in one shot. Animal hit the concrete hard, Arn mounting him and punching at his face time and time again. On the other side, Ole was launched into a windshield, cracking it, busting the back of Ole's head a little bit. Hawk took him off the car and pressed him over his head, body slamming him onto the hood of the car. Hawk then grabbed a nearby fire extinguisher and ran over to Arn, blasting him in the face with it, causing him to get off of Animal. Animal rose to his feet and clotheslined Arn down, screaming out in rage.
Ole got back up from the hood of the car and grabbed his tire iron, swinging hard for Animal's head, but Animal ducked underneath and kicked Ole square in the balls, not screwing around anymore. He picked up a steel security gate and drove it into Ole's face and chest, knocking him down. Arn came from behind and clocked Animal with an elbow to the back of the head, and Hawk followed suit with a clubbing blow to Arn's back. Arn grabbed a baseball bat and thrusted the end at Hawk's stomach, connecting hard, knocking him down. He then swung for the fences at Hawk's face, who ducked out of the way, the baseball bat connecting with a nearby car window, destroying it. Ole came from behind Hawk and turned him around, picking him up and driving him into a pole. Animal ran to his motorcycle and reached underneath it... pulling out a steel chain!
Ole charged forward after taking out Hawk, and was met with a punch to the face, which was loaded with the chain. The shot busted Ole's forehead straight open, as he hit the ground. Arn came in next, ducking a punch and pummeling Animal down to the ground. He continued to stomp on him until Hawk came from behind, and irish whipped him into another car. Arn came back from it and was clotheslined down to the ground, as Hawk picked Animal up and helped him to his feet. They grabbed Ole and brought him to the truck that they drove in. Hawk opened the hood and placed Ole's face near it, as Animal went into the truck and blared the horn, the sound being deafening. Hawk slammed the hood down and went after Ole, still trying to recover from going nearly deaf. Animal picked Arn up off the ground and blasted his head into the hood time and time again.
Hawk had Ole by the shirt and threw him to the ground. He picked up a 2x4 and swung hard for Ole's head, but Ole was able to duck out of the way as the 2x4 hit the wall, cracking in half. Hawk threw the other half at Ole, but Ole was able to sidestep out of the way again. On the other side, Animal still had Arn, but Arn countered with a low blow and a suplex onto the concrete. He ran over to Ole to help, but Hawk saw him coming and met him with punches and kicks. Arn and Hawk just started to slug it out as Ole was over by the soda machine, punching it until a can came out. He opened the can and poured out the contents, then crushed the can, going to slash at Hawk with the sharpened edge. Hawk's arm was hit with the can, as it started to bleed heavily. Hawk punched the can out of Ole's hand and pressed him against a wall, bashing his head into it time and time again, until Arn broke it up, the Andersons starting to double team on Hawk.
Animal finally rose from his feet and grabbed Arn by his shirt and threw him straight through a glass window, the shards cutting Arn all over. Hawk picked Ole up and ground his face against a chain link fence, trying to rip open his flesh. Animal was over Arn's bloody body, blood pouring from his broken nose as he punched away at Arn's head, going for more blood. Arn pushed him off, trying to fight for his life as Animal charged again, missing him. Arn went into one of the dressing rooms as Animal followed suit. Arn knocked him down with a clothesline, getting a slight breather. Hawk came charging in through the door like a madman as Arn was able to quickly sidestep him and throw him face first into one of the steel lockers. Ole came back into the room and threw Animal on top of Hawk, wanting to get the hell out of there. The Andersons then picked up the couch that was in the room and turned it over on LoD, exiting the room.
Arn and Ole, bleeding, brusied, and battered, left the room and headed back to the parking lot. They stopped in the middle of the lot, sitting down, trying to catch their breath, thinking they'd lost LoD. All of a sudden, a loud THUD was heard on the hood of the car, and the car alarm went off, sending the Andersons running! Hawk slammed the hood with a lead pipe, causing the alarm to sound. Animal met the Andersons with a monster double clothesline and knocked them both down to the ground. Hawk picked Arn up as Animal continued to punch Ole's face in. Hawk and Arn battled back to the parking lot, where Hawk was backdropped onto the windshield and hood of a limousine. Arn climbed up on the hood and picked Hawk up, wanting to spinebuster him on the roof. Hawk was able to counter out of it, and hit a DDT into the windshield, Arn's head going straight through, being cut up like a horror movie victim!
Arn rolled off the hood, unmoving as Hawk screeched "What a rush!" at the top of his lungs. He walked back to where Animal and Ole were still fighting, Ole getting the better end of it, as he slammed Animal's head into a "HANDICAP PARKING ONLY" sign. Ole saw Hawk coming and picked up a tire iron, as Hawk picked up a lead pipe. They charged at each other like two wild bulls, but stopped dead in their tracks, each one waiting for the other to swing first. Hawk then dropped the lead pipe and called Ole on. Ole swung hard, but Hawk caught the tire iron and kicked Ole away. Hawk, in an amazing display of strength, bent the tire iron and threw it away. Ole countered with a kick to the midsection, and rammed Hawk's head into a "NO PARKING" sign.
Ole ran over to Arn and picked him up, and Arn actually said he was all right. They ran back to their truck, as Arn pulled the keys out of his pocket. Arn unlocked the doors and The Andersons got in, throwing the spikes out of the car. Before they could close the doors however, Hawk and Animal caught up with them and held the doors open, actually ripping them straight off the truck! Arn hit the gas as Animal and Hawk jumped out, and threw the doors at them missing the truck. Arn however was speeding away as fast as he could, and made a WILD turn, actually hitting the motorcycles, knocking them over!
Animal was heard shouting "Motherfucker!" in the background as they ran to their motorcycles and picked them up, getting on, and speeding after The Andersons into the streets of Chicago.
"Ladies and Gentleman the following contest scheduled for one fall will be for the NWA Women's Championship."
[Play out]
Vampriss would just smirk at Serena, walking over and would dare her to take the first punch, in which she did, landing a haymaker right across the nose. Vampriss went down as Serena tackled her down, bashing her head into the mat and started slugging away, the ref breaking it up as Vampriss rose to her feet with a broken nose, clotheslined to the floor.
Vampriss held her nose some as Serena slid out after her, ramming her face first into the steel post then back to the ring, rolling after her and nailed a body press for two. Serea would stomp on her head, mainly her nose as she would kick along her with heavy boots, pulling her up and bashed her head into the turnbuckle ten times, setting her up in the tree of woe position, hitting a baseball slide right into her face.
Vampriss landed hard taking a flapjack to the mat, covered for two. Serena pulled her up and slammed her face hard into the mat, grinding it some then locked in a headlock, bashing the knee against her skull a few times as Vampriss rose to her feet, breaking out with her elbows but slammed back down by her hair to the mat, breaking at two.
Serena pulled her up, moving her to the corner and would kick and punch at her, climbing the middle rope and continued the onslaught. Vampriss held onto her hips and tried to ram her head into the post but Serena blocked, climbing the rope and came down with a dropkick, covering again for two. Rising to her feet she tossed her to the ropes, catching her with a powerslam, bouncing off of the rope and nailed a legdrop, using her heavy boot to smash against her face a few times, Vampriss sliding back out of the ring.
Serena went after her, ramming her head into the announcers table, pushing the time keeper out of the way and grabbed a steel chair, raising it up and slammed it down, missing her head as Vampriss would kick the chair right in her face, grabbing her by the skull and bashed it right into the steel post....six times.
Vampriss was angry as she hissed literally at the referee, dragging her head along the guardrail then smashed it against the ringstairs. Vampriss would kick the upper portion off, laying Serena's head on the bottom and would pick up the best she could the upper half of the stairs, screaming out in rage "You Bitch" and slammed the stairs down, Serena just barely avoiding that. Vampriss didn't care as she tossed her hard against the guardrail then into the ring, climbing the top rope and dropped her with a leg lariat, covering for two.
She rose up, dropping knees over her head, kicking at her ribs and took her down with a tilt a whirl backbreaker, holding in bridge position. Serena wouldn't quit dispite the pain, using her knee to kick up and fight out of it, ducking a clothesline and took Vampriss down with a falling spinebuster, quickly covering for two.
Serena was the first up, dropping her down with a bulldog then a german suplex, coming down on her with a bodysplash, keeping the impact high as she climbed the second rope, dropping the knee over her face and nose, actually grinding a bit. Serena pulled her up, locking in two good suplexes then a powerful clothesline, getting Lea tied in the ropes. She would lick her fist and started a fury of punches, aimed right at her nose and face, finishing her with a headbutt, pulling her from the ropes and dropped her with an STO, covering again for two.
Serena rose to her feet, dragging Lea to her own and slammed her down, climbing the top rope and came down with a legdrop though missed, Lea rising up and connected with a kick right to the jaw, knocking her loopy then a drop toe hold, quickly hitting an STF, though dug her nails right into her face. Serena yelled in pain as the ref told her to break it up, Lea smacking her head into the mat then bashed her knees into the mat, both of them and proceeded to work on the knees, twisting and torquing all the while, locking in a figure four.
Serena woudl battle, sitting up as Vampriss rose up, spitting right in her face, that only pissing her off as Serena would drag her body, grabbing the ropes forcing the break. Both girls rose with Serena swinging with a clothesline, Vampriss countering right into a Floatover DDT, covering for two. Lea got to her feet, pulling Serena up for a running knee breaker, smashing it against the mat, kicking her to the corner and started to trample her face, pulling from the corner and bashed her knee against her face. Slowly she would set her up on the top of the rope, climbing up and leapt for a super hurricanrana though Serena pulled her back up and came down with a sitdown powerbomb for one..two..NO!
Serena was surprised at that one, pulling herself up and rose her for a suplex, holding it up and brought her down the opposit way bringing her knee up and bashed it across her face, really shattering that nose but fell herself, holding that knee in pain. Vampriss was out cold, blood just staining her mouth from her nose as Serena moved over covering her for....two. Slowly she pulled Vampriss to her feet but would take red mist right in the eye, blinding her as Lea pulled her up for the Axe Guillotine Driver, coming down and pinned her, lowering her head as she let the blood trickle down onto her face, symbolic as the ref would count for three.
Vampriss pulled from her, grabbing the ref by the belt and pushed him back, removing the belt and would start to whip and beat Serena with the belt, making sure the metal buckle hit along her body. To add further insult to injury, she removed a turnbuckle pad and slammed her face first into it, getting a round of jeers from the crowd though, she honestly could care less, leaving ringside.
"The following contest is scheduled for one fall, with a 30 minute time limit, and it is for the NWA United States Championship!"
(Play Drew)
(Play DDP)
The bell rang as Drew and DDP met in the center of the ring, both men talking trash to one another, trying to psyche the other out. DDP retorted with the Diamond Cutter symbol, and Drew went for a right hand. DDP ducked, and went for the Diamond Cutter early! But Drew was able to slide out of the ring and cooled off, while the referee called Drew back into the ring. DDP asked for a mic.
"Ya see? I can beat you just like that, and you won't see it coming, Drew. Tonight, right here in the Windy City..." The crowd popped for that. "...Diamond Dallas Page becomes the new United States Champion!"
DDP turned around and tossed the mic back to Justin Roberts as McIntyre came back into the ring from behind and tried to jump DDP, but Page had it scouted and whipped Drew into the corner. He landed a quick school boy for a two, frustrating Drew. DDP laughed, seeming to have McIntyre in the palm of his hand, as he was dictating the pace of the match. McIntyre charged forward, but fell to a drop toe hold from Page. Drew sprung to his feet quickly and ran again, and fell to another drop toe hold. One more time, Drew ran forward, and DDP dropped again, but Drew jumped over him. DDP rose up and quickly leapfrogged over, and on the other side, attempted it again, but Drew caught him and dropped him with an alabama slam, dropping Page on his back. McIntyre dropped to his knees and started landing punches on Page's face.
Page tried to cover up as best he could, tossing McIntyre off. They rose up and locked up in the center of the ring, jocking for position, and they struggled to the ropes, Drew on the defensive, as the referee called for a clean break. Page cleanly broke up, but when he backed up, Drew slapped him in the face, agitating him. Drew called him on and Page tackled him through the ropes to the outside. They both rose up quickly and started trading haymakers to the face.
"Grish, this match has been nothing but a fight!"
"Someone's leaving this match injured, I call it now!"
Drew grapped Page's head and blasted it into the apron, asserting himself. He ran to the crowd and grabbed a DDP sign from a young fan in the audience and tore it to shreds, screaming at the fan. DDP turned Drew around and punched him straight in the nose with a closed fist. The referee called for both guys to get back into the ring, but was completely ignored. DDP continued to just punch away at Drew's face and led him to the stairs. He rammed McIntyre's head into the stairs, the thud being heard throughout the arena. DDP did it again, Drew hitting the floor after getting nailed into the stairs twice. DDP called for the Diamond Cutter, the crowd popping. DDP threw Drew into the ring, going for a cover, nailing a two count.
Page went to the second rope and waited for Drew to get up. When he did, he leveled him with a double axe from the second rope, knocking him down to the mat. DDP went for another cover, only nabbing a two count. Page wasn't concerned, as he picked Drew up and bodyslammed him down, dropping a few elbows afterward. He smiled down at Drew, picking him up and slapping him, a retaliation for earlier. Drew answered with a headbutt, rocking Page to the corner. Drew ascended the ropes, mounting DDP and punched at his head. He got to 8, as DDP grabbed a hold of Drew's legs and fell downward, driving McIntyre's face into the turnbuckle. Drew reeled back, somehow still standing, as Page charged forward with a clothesline, knocking him down. DDP was rolling with momentum, as the crowd started to rumble. He loaded Drew up and hit a heavy gutbuster, Drew getting back to his feet and being held up by the ropes. DDP sprinted forward and knocked Drew over the top, to the outside, as the crowd erupted again.
DDP went to the outside, and went to pick Drew up, but caught a thumb to the eye. Drew got back to his feet and launched DDP face first into the steel post, the ring moving an inch due to the impact. DDP got back up to his feet, but fell right back down, being incredibly groggy from the post. McIntyre went to pick the bones, as he picked Page up, and rammed the back of his head into the security barricade. McIntyre tossed DDP back into the ring, and dropped some elbows on the back of his head. He rolled Page over for a cover, hooking the far leg. 1...2... no. Page rolled his shoulder off the mat. Drew continued to stomp at Page's head, trying to knock him groggy. Page got back up to his feet and swung wildly, missing by a mile, Drew laughing at him. Drew punched him in the head, knocking Page down. Page rolled to the outside as Drew followed him out.
Page rose to his feet as McIntyre charged forward, but DDP ducked, backdropping him over the barricade, to the concrete below, into the crowd! Page rolled back inside, trying to catch his breath. Drew picked himself up and grabbed his US title, and started to retreat to the back, the fans booing. Page told the referee to stop counting as he followed Drew to the aisleway. He grabbed Drew by the hair and dragged him back to the ring, rolling him back inside. Drew quickly got to his feet and ran to the other side, coming off the ropes. DDP ran at him as they double clotheslined each other in the center of the ring.
The fans started to rumble as the referee was up to a count of four, both men slowly starting to stir. Drew picked himself up using the ropes, DDP doing the same on the other side, picking himself up in the corner. Drew got an adrenaline rush and charged forward at Page, clotheslining him in the corner. He grabbed Page's hand and launched him to the other side, Page's back blasting the turnbuckle hard. Page came out of the corner and was launched to the other side, Drew repeating this a couple more times. Page hit the ground face down, as Drew just stood over him, looking out at the crowd, getting massive amounts of jeers, as he just smiled down on DDP. Drew picked Page up, setting him up for the Future Shock DDT, and locked his hands in. He screamed at the crowd, which gave Page enough time to backdrop Drew out of it, countering the Future Shock.
DDP started to come back to life, hitting three different suplexes, first a vertical, then a back, then a release german all in a row. Page was starting to come alive as he tossed Drew to the ropes, hitting his signature tilt-a-whirl gutbuster. He rolled Drew over, 1...2... NO! Drew barely got his shoulder up off the mat, that last move almost ending the match. DDP picked Drew up and tossed him to the far corner, charging in, but tasting McIntyre's boot as he ran. McIntyre left the ring and went to the top rope, waiting for DDP to rise. DDP however, kicked the referee into the ropes, causing Drew to slip, straddling the rope. DDP got up and locked Drew in, loading him up for a superplex. Drew was able to fight out of it however, knocking DDP back. He gave Page a solid headbutt, knocking him off the turnbuckle to the mat.
Drew got up, looking out to the crowd as he was gonna come off the top with a double axe on DDP's head, going for a knockout shot. He leapt off.... and fell right into a Diamond Cutter! The crowd screamed "BANG!" as he hit it, Drew's body bouncing off the mat! DDP however, was unable to capitalize right away and slowly started to crawl to the carcass that laid in the ring, unmoving. DDP got an arm over Drew... 1... 2... NO! Drew's foot was able to find its way to hit the bottom rope, causing the break. The crowd collectively groaned out, knowing that McIntyre wouldn't have kicked out. DDP picked Drew up, but Drew kicked him hard in the gut, setting up for the Future Shock again, but DDP was able to block his way out of it, and set up for another Diamond Cutter. Drew grabbed DDP around the waist, and hit a monster release german suplex, DDP landing on the back of his head.
The referee went to check on DDP, as he landed sickly on his head and neck, as replays showed a couple times. Drew went to the outside and grabbed the US Title, tossing it into the ring. The referee turned around, catching Drew with it, as he grabbed it from him. DDP was able to get back up as he went for another Diamond Cutter, but was pushed off the ropes. Drew ducked down, as DDP jumped over him, inadvertently bumping into the referee. The ref went down, not being hurt, but dropped the title belt. McIntyre grabbed the US title and blasted DDP in the back, reeling him. Drew dropped the title on the mat, and went for the Future Shock, hitting it straight on the belt. The official turned around, and Drew quickly disposed of the evidence, as he covered DDP. 1...2...3.
Victory was certainly earned by hook or by crook but McIntyre gained the victory, retaining his U.S. Title, rubbing his head a bit as he rolled out of the ring, getting in the face of some of the fans but didn't care, heading to the back with a grin.
In the back Kevin Kelly was with Priceless as they were about to comment on their match and opponents.
"Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes, last week on Nitro, you guys were upset by the young upstart team of The Patriot and Justin Gabriel, who now have an opportunity at your tag team championships. My question to you two is that after that defeat at the hands of them, are you worried that the tag team titles will slip from your grasp?"
Cody would answer.
"Upset? Is that the word you want to use? There was no tag between Gabriel and The Patriot. If there was, wouldn't I have stopped Gabriel from breaking up the pinfall attempt, and not The Patriot? You see, they had to cheat and scam their way to this, and if that hadn't happened, we wouldn't even be wrestling these two upstarts who don't even deserve to hold my towel. We were screwed."
"You see Kevin, Cody and I are fighting champions, no doubt, and we'll take on anyone worthy. But that's the problem in this match. These two aren't even worthy of being on Pay Per View, much less getting titles. Justin Gabriel hasn't won a single match since he arrived in the NWA, and The Patriot is nothing more than a 1997-era gimmick that never got over, and we all know that the "greatest matches" of all time all came from the Attitude Era, right? Let's face it... they're nobodies. And tonight will prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt... you can be South African, Mexican, Canadian, Japanese, or American. You will NEVER be Priceless."
Justin Roberts was in the middle of the ring, ready to roll. "Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 30 minute time limit, and it is for the NWA World Tag Team Championships!"
(Play Gabriel)
(Play Patriot)
(Play Priceless)
The bell rang and the match was under way as Cody and Justin would start off, Cody easily outwrestling Justin in the early going. Gabriel went behind Cody but was quickly countered with an elbow, as Cody went behind Justin and pushed him, toying with him. Gabriel charged forward and locked up with him again, but was caught in a side headlock, but let go, as Cody just laughed at him, being ever so confident in his abilities. They locked up again, and Cody hit a deep arm drag, locking in an armbar. Gabriel rolled in the other direction and broke the hold, springing to his feet with a dropkick to Rhodes's face, knocking him back. Gabriel sprang back to his feet, eyeballing Cody with intensity, as Rhodes just held his face in disbelief.
They would meet up in the center of the ring again as Cody tried to overpower Gabriel. He went for a body slam but Gabriel landed on his feet behind Rhodes and kicked him in the kidneys. Rhodes fell forward towards the ropes and grabbed them, turning himself around. He was able to duck a charging Gabriel, tossing him over the ropes with a back body drop. Justin however landed on the apron, and The Patriot nailed the blind tag. Cody went to suplex Justin back inside, but Justin kicked Cody in the head, knocking him back as The Patriot was on all fours behind him, causing him to trip. The Patriot grabbed Cody's legs and covered him for a near-three, Cody getting outsmarted by the upstarts. He rose to his feet, becoming angered by the USA chants.
"You know Grish, these fans are stupid as hell."
"Why?"
"They're chanting USA, and Justin Gabriel isn't American."
"They're cheering for The Patriot, Jesse."
"No, they're cheering for USA, and last time I checked, The Patriot and Justin Gabriel only have one American on their team, but Priceless has two. They're cheering for Priceless."
"Shut up, Ventura."
"Or maybe they're just cheering against Gabriel!"
"Shut it, Jesse!"
The Patriot invited Cody in and was met with reverse knife-edge chops, all of which had NO effect on the big man. The Patriot continued to walk towards Cody who was chopping away, with no effect. Patriot launched Rhodes into the turnbuckle and hit a reverse knife-edge, and Cody felt some pain. He was thrown to the other corner and came out, getting a kick in the midsection, being set up for a vertical suplex. Patriot held Rhodes in the air for what seemed like an eternity as DiBiase came in to attempt to break it up. Patriot, while still holding Cody, kicked DiBiase in the face, knocking him down on his back. Patriot then turned around and suplexed Rhodes right onto DiBiase, the two of them rolling to the outside to regroup. Back in the ring, Gabriel came from the other side, as Patriot back body dropped him to the outside, straight on top of the tag champions.
Gabriel tossed Rhodes back into the ring, and Patriot covered him for a solid two count. Patriot was none to be deterred though, as picked Rhodes back up and pressed him over his head. He walked around the ring holding him high over his head as Gabriel reached in and tagged. Justin ascended the top rope as Patriot finally slammed Cody down on the mat, which was topped off with a cannonball leg drop from the top. The referee went to count, but had to get The Patriot out of the ring, and DiBiase used this opportunity to pull Gabriel off. Justin retaliated with a spinning heel kick to Ted's face, rocking him into the corner. He threw Rhodes into DiBiase and charged with a spinning heel kick, bringing Cody out. The Patriot then charged in with a monster clothesline, knocking DiBiase down, causing him to roll to the outside. Patriot then launched Gabriel into the air and sent him crashing down on Rhodes, the referee counting. 1... 2... the referee was pulled out of the ring by DiBiase, stopping the count. Gabriel responded to this with a baseball slide to Ted's face. Rhodes used this time to regroup on the outside.
The Patriot tagged back in as he waited for Rhodes and DiBiase to get back into the ring. They took until an eight count, rolled back in, and rolled back out, needing more time to regroup. Patriot rolled outside to meet them, as they both rolled into the ring, DiBiase ran back to his corner and quickly tagged in, which Patriot didn't see. Patriot stalked Cody into the corner as DiBiase came from behind and targeted Patriot's legs, hitting him with a chop block to send him down. He then dropped several elbows on the right knee, even locking in a spinning toe hold. The ref went down, but Patriot loudly said no, he wouldn't give up. DiBiase continued to wrench on the leg, as Patriot kicked him into the ropes, and on the rebound, rolled him up in a small package which was broken up by Rhodes before the two count. DiBiase rose back up to his feet and continued to wrench on Patriot's right knee, working it over, obviously seeing a target to weaken the big man.
DiBiase pulled Patriot to their corner, and Rhodes tagged in, flying over the rope with an elbow onto the knee. Rhodes covered Patriot for a two, but was thrown off with authority, Patriot still having a lot of upper body strength. Rhodes was unscathed however, as he rolled Patriot over on his stomach and locked in a single-leg boston crab, working hard on the legs. The referee was down by Patriot's face, asking him if he wanted to give up, while Ted reached out for Cody's hand and pulled back, adding extra leverage to the hold. The ref rose up and didn't see Ted let go, so he went back down. They repeated it, DiBiase really wrenching back with Cody, causing Patriot to scream in pain. The referee finally saw it and ordered Cody to break the hold, but Cody refused. Patriot however, grabbed DiBiase and pulled him into the ring through the middle rope, causing him to crash into Cody, breaking the hold.
Patriot rose to his feet, holding his knee as DiBiase charged forward. Patriot sidestepped him and launched him over the top rope to the outside, DiBiase taking down a cameraman with him. Rhodes then ran at him, but was met with an elbow to the jaw, being rocked back. He was then met with a spine-rattling spear as Patriot tagged Gabriel in. Justin leapt over the rope with a flying kick, kicking Cody into the corner. He leapt up for a monkey flip, but grabbed Rhodes's head, dropping him with a facebuster. He hooked the leg, 1... 2... no! Cody was able to roll his left shoulder off the mat. Gabriel ran to the other side, running full speed for Rhodes. He ducked a clothesline, but DiBiase lowbridged him, bringing him to the outside. Gabriel hit the floor hard and rolled back, crashing the back of his head into the announce table. DiBiase picked him up and dropped his torso onto the announce table, then tossed him back into the ring, into the waiting arms of Rhodes.
Rhodes tagged DiBiase back in, as the two began to double team Gabriel. DiBiase pulled him out from the corner and hit a russian legsweep. He then dropped a fist on Justin's face, covering him for a solid two count. He grabbed one of his legs and went for a spinning toe hold, but Gabriel grabbed his head and flipped him over, his shoulders being held down for a quick two count. Gabriel rolled off and ran with a missile dropkick to Ted's face, knocking him down. They both got up and Gabriel hit another standing dropkick, knocking Ted down again. Justin was on fire now, turning around and hit a standing moonsault for two. He went for another one, but was distracted for a half a second by Rhodes, and DiBiase was back on his feet, and locked in the Million Dollar Dream.
Rhodes reached over the ropes and slapped Gabriel's face, as DiBiase backed into the center of the ring, Gabriel starting to go out. The referee checked his arm as it fell heavily down at his side once. DiBiase yelled at Patriot that he was out, as his arm dropped a second time. The ref grabbed his arm for the fatal third time as it dropped, but Gabriel rose it back in the air, still being alive! He reached up and snapmared DiBiase over his head, DiBiase rolling up to his feet in a flash as he and Gabriel met in the center of the ring, both men connecting with cross body blocks to each other, both of them landing in opposite sides of their respective corners. Both men crawled to their corners, as DiBiase tagged in Rhodes, who ran to the other side, dropping down with an axe handle blow to the back of Gabriel's head, stopping the tag.
Rhodes dragged him to the center of the ring, where Gabriel rose up on one foot and hit a reverse ensiguiri to the mouth, as he tagged Patriot in! The crowd exploded with USA chants all around as Patriot was a house of fire, clotheslining everything with a heartbeat. He ran full speed at DiBiase and dropped him with a high knee to the face, and shoulder tackled Rhodes back down to the mat. Patriot rose up to his feet and yelled out, picking Rhodes up and placing him in a torture rack! This did not last long however, as DiBiase went back to the knee that they worked on earlier, and Rhodes was saved. DiBiase scooted out of the ring as Cody grabbed one of Patriot's legs, and locked in a figure-4 leglock in the center of the ring! Patriot screamed out in pain, as the tag team champions had this match won.
"That's it, Jesse! The figure-4 leglock, used by all the greats of this business!"
"Patriot's gonna have to tap unless he wants to continue his wrestling career with a snapped leg!"
The Patriot scratched and clawed his way to the ropes, but still couldn't reach them. His shoulders hit the mat, as the referee counted for two, Patriot sitting up in pain, keeping his shoulders off the mat. Patriot wound up for a big right hand, but Cody wrenched down harder on the leg, preventing any potential breakup of the hold. Patriot struggled and pounded on the mat hard, trying to roll himself over. He rolled both directions, trying to reverse the hold, but as soon as he rolled to his stomach, Rhodes broke the hold, knowing exactly when to let go. He rose up and went for a clothesline, but couldn't knock Patriot down. He ran off for another, which Patriot ducked underneath. He grabbed both of Cody's arms and pulled them behind him and fell on his back. Patriot's feet were pressed against Rhodes's back, keeping him standing, as Patriot continued to pull back on Cody's arms, locking in an innovative submission hold!
"What the hell do you call that, Jesse? I've never seen that move before!"
"I don't know, it's almost like a vertical surfboard stretch!"
Ted DiBiase was seen coming from the other side, going to drop an elbow on Patriot, but Patriot broke the hold just in time and rolled out of the way, DiBiase's elbow missing. Patriot clotheslined him over the top, which gave Rhodes just enough time to target the knee again. He went for another figure-4, but Patriot kicked him off, straight into a roundhouse kick from Gabriel, who was standing on the apron. Patriot rose to his feet and called for his finisher, Capital Punishment. Patriot lifted him up in a gutwrench powerbomb, but dropped him on his face, hitting a falling gutwrench dominator! Patriot covered Rhodes, the match was over! 1...2... no!! DiBiase came back in and broke the count up!
DiBiase rose to his feet quickly, as Gabriel hit a blind tag on Patriot's shoulder. Patriot charged forward and clotheslined DiBiase over, Patriot going over the top as well. Gabriel, on the other side, was on the top rope, and launched off with his signature move, the 450 splash! Rhodes however, was able to just BARELY roll to the corner, out of the way of the splash. Gabriel hit the mat hard, slowly rising to his feet, where he was met in the center of the ring by Rhodes and DiBiase who hit Lock, Stock, and Barrel. Rhodes covered Gabriel for 1...2...3.
"Ladies and gentlemen, your winners, and still NWA World Tag Team Champions, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase!"
Rhodes and DiBiase rolled out of the ring, victorious after a long, hard fought matchup, as the referee handed them their titles and raised their hands in victory. The Patriot was seen back in the ring, kneeling down beside his fallen comrade, as Gabriel was seen to say "I'm sorry," costing them their tag title shot. Patriot picked Gabriel up and shook his hand, the tag team formed out of mutual respect perhaps ending, but both men still having great deals of respect for one another.
