I was doing my research, and came up with the creepiest, yet strangely accurate foreshadowing ever...
January 4, 1999: WWF and WCW are in the midst of the Monday Night Wars. On this particular episode, the WCW's advertised main event was the rematch between Goldberg and new WCW World Champion, Kevin Nash. The WWF's advertised main even was the WWF Champion, The Rock, defending against Mankind. This also happens to be the infamous "Fingerpoke of Doom" incident involving Hulk Hogan returning to WCW, regaining the WCW World Championship, and the reformation of the NWO. This is also the same night that Tony Schiavone makes the "That'll put some butts in the seat" comment... causing WWF to win the ratings war that day, eventually spelling the demise of WCW.
Fast forward 11 years.
January 4, 2010: TNA Impact advertises the debut of Hulk Hogan. WWF counters by advertising the return of Bret "the Hitman" Hart. Since then, TNA ratings have substantially dropped, and Vince Russo's life has been threatened by James E. Cornette.
January 4th + Hulk Hogan = DEMISE OF HOGAN'S ASSOCIATED WRESTLING COMPANY!
As we once stated on Ramblings of Madmen: "Coincidence? YOU be the judge!"
